Thanks Collin! I really appreciate all you do …you’ve save us tons!! Have a fabulous holiday!

  2. dana

Yes,thank you so much!!! This site is invaluable to me and my family!!

  3. Collin

You both are so welcome! 🙂 Enjoy your Thanksgiving week!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So excited. This is out of context but I just rec’d from UPS my Ann Taylor Today show sweater deal. I had to call the number because the web site was sold out. They then directed my order through their stores until they found one and then shipped it to me. I got the same price advertised on the Today show. I took it out of the package and it is awesome. A $78 sweater for $32.94. shipped. I can’t believe I got one of the Today show deals. This is the first time I tried this and I wasn’t expecting it to work. Too fun.

  4. Robin

Where did the naturalizer listing go? I bought a wallet for $5.33 shipped and was wondering if anyone has gotten their confimation email? They already charged my bank but havent sent an email. Has anyone else had this problem?

    • soldiersgirl531

My bank account was charged& I did get a confirmation email -did you check your spam?

      • Robin

        Yep, nothing so far.

        • Collin

The company emailed and asked me to remove the post. 🙁

          • Robin

Wow! Thats a little much. Well, thanks for telling us why you could I love a good deal.

          • Selene

What a shame. They should be happy that you are bringing them more business. I followed your post earlier today and bought a beautiful shoulder bag I was going to post a comment and share my excitement. The bag was originally $69, on sale for $19.99, and I got it for $10.49 after $10 off and sales tax. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I did my husband’s Christimas shopping (gift to me) for him. He should be thankful to you too. 😉

          • Selene

And they wouldn’t have gotten my $10 if it weren’t for you. They should be grateful.

          • Emily

I’m always confused when companies do this. Don’t they know that you’re driving tons of business to their site?

          • Selene

I received an email from them saying that their member-exclusive coupon code was shared with non-members (I guess they are referring to your post) and they are suspending the code. I wonder if they will cancel my order. I guess I’ll see.

          • Cecilee

Ugh. yep, I used the coupon and only received one wallet today when I ordered two with the coupon. Oh well, at least it was a good deal for one anyway. So basically, I just paid the 9.99 w/shipping which I was going to give as a gift. Not bad!

    • April

I sure wish I had seen this posting!

  5. megan

i was goning to use my overage on BF to get am itunes gift card. i can’t really do that can i since the overage will be caused by ECBs?

    • Selene

I don’t fully understand your question but ECBs cannot be used towards gift cards, if that’s what you are asking…

  6. rachel

Finally, a great ad from CVS, but it is BF, lol!!! Thanks for all you do! I started with 1 blog, now I mainly use yours!!! Hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving with your family & forget about work for 1 day :)! Happy Thanksgiving Hip2Savers!!!!

    • Shika

Thanks and same to you Rachel

      • rachel

        Thank you!

  7. Shika

Thanks a lot… So I can shop Saturday or sunday too with these deals right????

    • rachel

Looks like it. Hopefully, there will be something left! I’m assuming CVS will not be giving out rainchecks.

      • Amanda C.

They do give out rainchecks. At least they have every year that I have gone. I was surprised that they usually stock quite a bit for this sale. I went last year on Sunday expecting to have to get rainchecks and they had everything that I wanted.

        • rachel

Thanks Amanda! That’s good to know! I thought for sure they wouldn’t give rainchecks for these prices.

          • Krystal

As long as it’s a regular item…like the shampoos…..The Lookbook and things like that are not a regular item. They can’t gaurantee the stock of them.

    • Samantha Booker

The sale is only good through Saturday the 27th!

  8. Ashly

Hi Collin, great job, Thanks! I want to say that I have seen a Carmex coupon $1? I just checked their FB and site and can’t find it, but I swear I’ve seen one. Hmmm… I’ll let you (all) know if I find it. Thanks again!

    • Lisa

Here in MN there were in one of the inserts a couple weeks back.

      • vikesdoll1

Hey, Lisa! Nice to see another MN gal out here! 🙂

        • Julianne

          I’m from Vadnais Heights, MN!

    • Sally

11/7 SS $0.30 off any one Carmex lip blam, $1 off Carmex moisture plus ultra hydrating lip balm.

      • jojo

        aww thanks!

  9. Shika

    Dumb Question…read your post..AGAIN…11/25 to 11/27

    • Melissa

those are the correct dates. Drug store deals actually start on Thanksgiving day, even though they call it Black Friday.

  10. vivianna

i went to walgreen today and bought 2 coffee mate the ones bogo free and so the gummies, but when it come to pay they won’t take the second coupon on the free one.But the Nabisco it’s not $1/1 coupon but instead $/50/1 on 11/14, and so they said i can’t used coupon on the free one. Wonder if anyone had same problem .

    • Selene

I always have problem at Walgreens. Their cashiers are very unwilling to help customers save money. What you described is normal here. Sorry to hear, but I am not surprised at all. I refrain to go to Walgreens unless it’s going to be a “clean deal” etc.

    • Tasha

You need to print off their corporate policy and take it with you because it CLEARLY STATES that you CAN use 2 coupons on a B1G1 free sale! Unfortunately, a lot of Walgreens employees aren’t even familiar with their own coupon policy!

      • heather

i had a issues at my store with the bodywash that was on sale for 2.50 and had a 3 off coupon. they went as far to say i was doing coupon fraud. i went home printed the coupon policy and went back there to show that i was right. i walked out with my 2 bottles of wash and never went back again. I am always treated very nice at CVS so thats where i go now. No more walgreens for me just not worth the headache.

      • Selene

It doesn’t matter. I have the coupon policy with me and they still wouldn’t do it.

    • Tami

I totally agree! I think that if a Walgreens cashier accepts a coupon it must come directly out of their paycheck :). There is one here in Apple Valley MN that is just horrid! Like so bad that if I see her working I don’t even BOTHER.

    • Alicia

Just because I also hate Walgreens, I have to add that they are the only company I have ever written a complaint letter. The manager then called me back and said something like contact her to talk about my problems or something that sounded equally like she was going to psychoanalyze me. Needless to say I have never gone back unless you count sending my husband there once to return something HAHAHAHAHA

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t do Walgreens anymore either and our Rite Aid is even worse so I do my “drugstore game” at CVS.

        • Terrie

I have to say I have had my share of difficult times with cashiers at any of the chains–not just Walgreen’s, but CVS and all the others. I just have had to learn where to go and when to get a customer service oriented cashier. I had a girl from the make-up counter who was very very helpful with coupons at Walgreens–when I explained some of my experiences with others, she told me about their employee rewards program. If you get a good one, and get a chance to do their questionaire-if you mention their name they will get recognized and I believe it was a star for customer service she said they get. She said some of them just take their jobs too seriously. But I think you can run into this anywhere!

    • Hulet

Wags coupon policy states you can use up to 2 coupons on the 2 items, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased. If you were using the 2 $1.50/1 coupons on the Coffee Mate, the register beeped b/c the price went below zero…YMMV on getting coupons adjusted down on a BOGO deal. But you can use 1 $1.50/1 and 1 $.75/1 and get the price down to $.24 for 2 🙂

  11. Colette

Thanks for the Blk Friday posts! Your awesome Collin…No, your EXTRA AWESOME!! Hope you have a great turkey day and get some rest this weekend!

  12. couponcrazy76

Yay more Reese’s. My kids ate all of them out of their trick or treat bags before I raided them.

  13. Rozzy12

    Hi Collin,

I just wanted to take the time to tell you that I am very Thankful for your site.. I have been on other ones and yours is by far the best and easiest to navigate through… I appreciate all you do to save us money…. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving…

  14. Susan

does anyone know if I could do 2 separate transactions and use the ecbs from the first to pay for the second?

    • Lisa

Yes, you can. And if you haven’t reached the limit for an item, your ECBs will still print for the next one, unlike RR at Wags.

      • Susan

Great thats awesome money is tight and I would really like to get the candy and a few other things for DH and DS stocking

      • Selene

I know it is not necessary to do separate transactions, but sometimes I prefer to do separate transactions. Otherwise the value of the ECB will become too high and it’s difficult to use. For example if they have a $5 ECB offer with limit 3, if you buy 3 items in one transaction, it will print out one $15 ECB. Then I have to buy something else that is $15 or more next time, which can sometimes be tricky. So I rather have three $5 ECB that I can use with more flexibility.

        • maria

that is an excellent tip, thank you so much.

          • Selene

            You are welcome!

        • Eunsil

Wow, thank you…your post was really helpful for a new couponer like me. 😀

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have been doing CVS for a while and I honestly did not realize you had to use the entire ECB on one purchase. I did the toothbrush deal a couple of weeks ago and did not seperate it so today I had $26 in ECB, tried to use it but my order wasn’t enough so I ended up having to go shop some and eek that was hard without a “plan”. I hate pressure shopping LOL.

          • Selene

            No problem! Glad to help.

        • Kate

Also, if you do 3 transactions with your Green Tag, you’re almost at a $1ECB reward for free 🙂

          • Diane

You can only scan your green bag tag once per day per store. If you went to 3 different CVS stores you could scan it all 3 times and it counts. Last ive used it it was only counted once per day at one store. BUt you could go to another cvs and scan it a 2nd time that would count as well.

          • Selene

Diane – Actually the reset time is somewhere around 15 to 20 minutes. You can go back to the same store just have to wait.

  15. Laura

Yes you can!! That is the GREAT thing about CVS….you can you use them on your next deals regardless if you get the same deal AND you don’t have to have fillers…makes rolling your ecb’s much MUCH easier.

    • Selene

Absolutely!!! MUCH, MUCH better than Walgreens.

  16. Elizabeth

Thank you so much for everything you do!!!, it helps me out so much! I would not have gotten as good if it wasnt for this site!!!
cant wait to go to CVS!!!!!!

  17. Jennifer P

I let some of my extra bucks expire…does anyone know how to go about fixing this problem? Please let me know, thanks!

    • ash

check with your cvs. the cashiers at mine still take them a week or so after expiration date!

      • Selene

That depends. One of the CVS here will take it if it’s a day or two old, but not more than that. The other CVSs don’t take the expired ones at all.

    • Melissa D. H.

My CVS will take them no matter how long they have been expired.

      • Selene

        How nice!

    • Shayla

It all depends on your CVS. My parents region has officially stopped taking any expired ECBs but my area still has the policy that you earned them so they technically never expire, except one store that gave me a problem. I used to roll my ECBs from one diaper sale to the next but I got caught at the end of summer w/ no diapers sales =(

    • anna

I LIVE IN THE MADISON COUNTY ALABAMA AND CVS WILL STILL LET YOU USE YOUR EXPIRED BUCKS.ONE CASHIER TOLD ME UP UNTIL ONE WEEK,ONE TOLD ME IT HAD TO BE THE WEEK OF THE DATE ON YOUR BUCKS AND ANOTHER TOLD ME AS LONG AS ITS AN EXTRA CARE BUCKS THEY WILL TAKE IT.NOT EXPIRED COUPONS.I JUST USED ONE THAT HAD EXPIRED ON 11/09/2010 ON SAT. 11/20/2010 AND I HAD 2 THAT EXPIRED ON 11/16/2010 AND I USED IT AT THE CVS THAT SAID THAT IT HAD TO BE WITHIN THAT SAME WEEK.(11/19/2010) ASK YOUR CASHIER!

      • Anonymous

I also live in Madison, Alabama and never have a problem at any of the CVS stores. Some cashiers are more friendlier than others, but that is to be expected!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If you call them and ask….they will usually let you use them. Make sure you remember the persons name you spoke to. I had that happen once and they let me use them….it was almost a month later.

      • Alicia

Along the same lines, the CVS near my house told my they won’t take expired ECB but they other two in town will. So, it never hurts to check around different stores.

    • EMNM

I think it all depends on the clerk no matter where you are. I used one earlier this week was expired by a few days. All the comments on casiers have me cracking up! My family calls the difficult casiers COUPON COPS! They read the fine print go back through your bags and read the items fine print looking for a way to say “Nope It Won’t Work”. I’ve also learned to profile cashiers. If I don’t know the cashiers, I go to relaxed looking young people. Definately avoid serious nerdy looking young people. Actually, anyone who looks relaxed and smiles is usually your best bet. I also get to know employees and managers where I frequently shop. Amazing what a smile can do! At my favorite Meijer, I was having a conversation with the manager and several cashiers and he told them to always take my coupons. I don’t abuse the green light and the casiers (that heard him say it) always take my coupons no questions. It’s soooo nice!

  18. Jody

If anyone happens to put together a list of several transactions to get the freebies/moneymakers while using the most of thee ECBs, please let me know. I was trying to put together a “plan” and am feeling very overwhelmed!! Thanks so much!

    • Sarah

      There is one at SouthernSavers

  19. Rosy

the passionate penny pincher has a VERY detailed CVS list.

  20. Rosy

Do these not start on Thursday???

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I believe they do start on Thanksgiving.

  21. Noelle

I called my CVS and they told me they weren’t having specials for black friday– that their sale was already in progress. I don’t really understand that. I think I’m still going to try to get these deals anyway. Hopefully the employee I spoke with simply was unaware of this sale!

  22. Becky

I think redplum or smartsource had a coupon for carmex for .55 fyi!

    • Sarah

Found on SS! Thanks! I didn’t get that one in my insert.

      • robyn

is this the one on sale though? the coupon states a specific one.

  23. Niki

I love CVS for their coupon friendly and raincheck. I ask that we all couponers do not abuse their kindness by trying to use expired coupon (unless they are aware and willing to accept it) or any other un-ethical acts.

    • Alicia

Well, to be fair some stores will willingly take expired ECBs. Like I said in my post above. The CVS near my house will not but the other two in town will because that is their specific store policy.

      • Alicia

Okay I should have read your post more thoroughly 😀 Sorry!

  24. SB

Collin – Thank you so much for all you do. I really appreciate the fact that you are home with family for Thanksgiving and yet still take the time to help us gals (and guys!) save so much money. With funds tight for most folks all these wonderful deals are helping us put together a Full Christmas on a Light Wallet. In short, You Rock !! 🙂

  25. kristin

Check your e-mail accounts!!!! I was just looking at my e-mail and I have a 5$/25$ coupon for CVS good for Thurs-Sat. This will sure come in handy with all the black Friday deals

    • jamie

I did not think of that! Thanks for the tip!

  26. Mona

So I scored a great deal at CVS today.

    Bought 16 Schick ST2 disposable razors @$1.29
    Total $20.64
Used 16 $1/1 off for any Schick disposable
    Actual oop $4.64
Most important.. GOT my $10 bucks for spending the $20!! Bought my much needed cereal with the overage!! The ad stated ANY Schick….. and the girls at the counter got my bucks to print since it didn’t print with my receipt. YAHOO

    • Daymon

Mona, you go girl! You know how to play hardball and find a way to get bargin. Thanks for turning Laura and I onto all of this fun and excitement of saving $$ and geting stuff for free or practically free or at least a deep discount. We gave all the drug stores the one two punch yesterday and went back to Walgreens today for a few more items. Thanks again lady!

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know any thing about this reader?
    LookBook Wireless Reader $118.88 = $20 Ecb (limit 1)
    Final cost $98.88!

  28. cara

Anyone know about that Zone 60 game system? Is it like a generic Wii without having to buy games? I’d spend the money on the Wii but I’m afraid I’ll just end up dusting it more than using it!! lol!

  29. Casey

I will be out of town on Thanksgiving day, no where NEAR a CVS store. I plan to head to both Walgreens and Rite Aid Thanksgiving morning, but the soonest I will be able to visit CVS is day after thanksgiving. What is the chances that some of these items will still be in stock? Anyone shop CVS last year? Shelves cleared of all the freebie’s? Sure it depends on the area. Anyone know what the hours are for Thanksgiving day? I *MIGHT* be able to head to CVS Thursday evening on my way home, but not if they are closed!

  30. Dawn

Isn’t the Listerine Pocket Packs a limit of 2?

  31. danielle

    what about 24 hour stores?

    • Selene

I called my local 24-hour store and the manager told me the deals will be effective at 1 AM. But I don’t really trust him 100%. I am planning on going there a little early and grab the items in my cart. If I have to wait till 1 AM to check-out, that’s what I’ll have to do.

  32. Diane

Im excited to hit up cvs! I read a plan on hcw that you could pay little out of pocket but it consistes of 11 transactions thats if you have no extra bucks to roll. I have $16 to start with So I gotta figure out a game plan. I havent got those $/$$ in forever! Those were always soo helpful but i am glad that they shampoos and such have a limit of 2! I cant just buy a shampoo and not the matching conditioner!

  33. Leslie Hardy

    Collin,

I just wanted to thank you for all of your hard work. Because of your website, I was able to take advantage of all of these great deals, and I really cleaned house! Not only did I have fun planning my approach and rushing around CVS at 12am Thanksgiving morning, but I was able to recognize a handful of your followers who were grabbing the same products. We all kept bumping into each other and laughing until one of the women just started passing out the products to all of us to save us time. We had so much fun, even though we were complete strangers! One of them asked me what website I follow, and when I told her “Hip2Save,” they all smiled and nodded. On a day of Thanksgiving, I am reminded how thankful I am for you and your site!

    -Leslie

    • Brianna

That is so funny and awesome!! Collins so popular 😉

    • Janessa

That is to funny! I often wonder how many couponers from my area are folllowing this site. I am from the Harrisonburg, VA area. Anymore of you out there?

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Gillette deodorant in the ad states a limit of 1, but is actually a limit of 2! Whoo Hoo! 2 for Free!

    • Anonymous

FYI THEY ARE LIMIT 2 BUT PAY FOR THEM ON SEPERATE TRANSACTIONS OR THE ECB WILL ONLY PRINT FOR $4

  35. Kate

Had so much fun at CVS shopping today. My store rocks, they substituted like items for products that had sold out. I was able to purchase a larger Eucerin for the sale price and was able to use the $1 off Q that came with a free sample.

  36. DP

I got the BOGO free hairdryer/curling iron deal Whoo hoo!! Why dont they include Spongebob in the Snuggie Sale?

  37. Daymon

I am new to all of this fun and learned a lesson at Walgreens yesterday. I bought a bunch of the free and almost free items yesterday and I had one of each item in the transaction so I could get all the JC that was coming to me. I received 16 JC’s and I quickly sorted them from highest amount to lowest amount to use towards my second transaction. I had a similiar second transaction and used a lot of my JC from the first purchase towards it. Well, I thought my JC was a little light but I rolled with it thinking I might of done something wrong. I made my final transaction and used more JC. I used as many JC as I could to have the least amount OOP.
After I got home I spent like two hours figuring out where things went wrong. After research and talking to someone I figured out that on the JC if it says “compliments of P&G” and you use it towards another P&G product then you won’t receive the JC that you should’ve for that purchase. So, I was shorted 11 JC totaling $32.00. By the time we figured this out it was after they had closed. I can’t take the items back today to deal with it because I am working at the fire station in another town. My wife is confused (sort of) about all of this. Can I go back tomorrow (Sunday) to work thisout since the sale would be over? I mean, $32 in JC is a lot to not receive. Some were stocking stuffers that I wouldn’t of bought if it weren’t for the JC so it isn’t a good deal to me.
Why don’t they tell you this at the registar? I mean it was the store manager that was checking me out. They should tell you that if you use the JC then you won’t receive another JC for that item.
I went to the Wags where I work today and bought 7 items. I made an exact second purchase of 7 items and paid with 2 JC that said nothing on them no P&G, no 7up, No Gum Eeze, nothing, just said thank you and I only received 5 JC back. The manager told me that no matter what the JC says, you CAN’T use any JC towards another item you expect to get a JC back on. So, because I bought 7 items, paid with 2 JC I only received 5 JC. She said to use the JC towards sale items or other items where there is no JC/RR involved and you’ll be able to use as many as you want. Now, it probably says this somewhere and I could’ve read it to save myself some hassle and headache, but the stores should help out us “NEWBIES.” Whew….nuff said, fingers are tired! Suggestions? fine print…not proof read or spell checked, just typed like a mad man, so if any mistakes I’m sorry, I’ll do better next time…lol!

If there is a nice enough customer service, you should still go tomorrow and ask, I mean, that is a lot of money not to get. 🙁

I just spoke with a cs rep at naturalizer and my order is being canceled. They charged my cc on the 24th and have not refunded me yet or updated my order as canceled on the website. I will never shop at naturalizer again and will think twice before purchasing anything from them again anywhere in the future.
