If you are a current Best Buy Rewards Zone member, you may want to head over here and log into your account. Rumor has it that you may discover a very nice surprise! Check out this email that I just received from reader, Naomi…

A friend at work informed me tonight that Best Buy is giving people (presumably people who haven’t used their Reward Zone cards in a while) $15 or $20 certificates to use before Christmas.  I hadn’t used my card in a while, so I logged on to my account and I did indeed have a $20 certificate! Expires December 25th. Merry Christmas to me! What a great deal! I hope you’ll be able to share this so some other people can be pleasantly surprised.

Let us know if you discovered a gift certificate in your account as well. Also, keep in mind that this offer appears to only be valid for existing members and not members that sign up today.

(Thanks, Naomi!)

    Nothing for me =(

It seems to me like they don’t have their stuff together at all. I was told that you can only get it if you DIDN’T make a purchase after Nov. 7th, 2010. So it seems like everyone is getting different stories. This is why I hate Best Buy!

I got an email several days ago from Best Buy and there was a $10 certificate in there- just because.

Thanks for the heads-up! I haven’t bought anything at Best Buy since last Black Friday (2009!), and couldn’t even remember the address/phone number my rewards card was under, but when I finally tracked it down… had a $20 certificate!

    Awesome!!!

I didn’t get a chance to read all of the comments, but I have answers for some of the questions. You can use them online or in the store. It will cover shipping also if you buy something less than the amount of the certificate. You can use more than one in one transaction. Even on one item. Even though you can print it more than once you can only use it once. It is tracked my the number. HTH

I know we have a Rewards card, but not a clue where it is.
Any idea how I can figure out a way to see if I have any “free money?”
      Thanks for any replies…..

        Nevermind.
        I called them.

Yay! I logged in but didn’t see anything. When I called the nice customer service rep checked my account and said they would post a $20 credit in 5-7 days. Yippee.

Nothing in my account this time either. I got an email a few days ago from them, stating that they were giving me a free $10 certificate for Christmas, but when I tried to redeem the code, I got nothing at all. It seems to be a hit-and-miss program.

Called today and they said that only certain people got them…bummer!

I just called (noon on Thurs, 23rd) and spoke to a lady(?) that sounded like I was totally bothering her. But….I kept a cheerful attitude and stuck with it and was rewarded with a $10 coupon (to be added to my acc’t in 7 to 10 days).

I could not find my rewards card/number, so I asked her to check her records under my name and/or my husband’s name and our previous and current zips. She finally found my name and gave me my reward card number.

Then she told me to go to www. myrz dot com and to sign up/register/update or whatever I did. She had my email address on file, but when I typed it in, it said that was an undeliverable email address. Weird! So I just put in my husband’s email and it went through.

She also told me that I did not have any points or money in my acc’t 🙁
    She said that I had redeemed a $25 certificate in ’09. I didn’t remember doing that…but…whatever. LOL.

I asked her if she was allowed to put in any certificates for being a great customer and she said that she could do a $10 one. And that’s how I got it 🙂

I wanted to say, “I’m sorry I bothered you for so long! Or can you at least act like you cared to help me?” But I bit my tongue. I was happy that I got something 🙂 I did have to hold for 20 minutes, but I didn’t mind.

So…go for it. Call Customer Service. And good luck!
I think I’ll buy me a Carrie Underwood CD 🙂

Logged into my account and printed a $20 certificate. Went to bestbuy.com to see how much Descipcable Me is on DVD for the kiddos. They have a promotion, buy 2 select dvd’s and get a $5 gift card. I found D.M for $14.99 and Prince of Persia for $12.99. After I applied the $20, it came to $8.73 out of my pocket, minus the $5 g.c. I will get, so it’s like $3.73 for 2 dvd’s! And it’s great, I selected store pickup so I will just have to run in on my way home from work and pick up, it’s already paid for so no standing in line!

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Got a $20 certificate. This along with a $5 off Tinkerbell dvd was great. I only paid $1.40 for a dvd and a Tag Jr storage bag. Score! Thank you Collin for the heads up. Great deal.
