I keep getting a dial tone and at 4 min it hangs up. I’m not even getting a busy signal.

    • Melinda

Keep trying ladies. It takes a couple times before the number actually goes through. I’m on hold now and the waiting time is 9mins.

  2. Ashley

    Me too!

    • Ashley

keep trying, i FINALLY got through!

  3. kari fisher

    I GOT MINE THANK U

  4. SenoraE

Gosh they were nice! I actually called with another question, as my son is 6 weeks old and I am not sure how pumping will go when I go back to work. I didn’t mention the deal at all, but she sent me one anyway! How nice is that! Guess if I do end up supplementing with formula, it will definitely be Enfamil!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Not really very nice at all. They have a huge monetary interest in getting you to quit breastfeeding so they’re sending you something they know will greatly increase your chances of failure and that will likely make you brand loyal to them. It’s deceptive and clever and very unkind to you and your baby.

      • Jill

Giving your baby formula is unkind? Wow, the BF v. FF debate on a coupon site. Give it a rest, lady.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t think she meant it is unkind to give your baby formula. Baby needs to eat and a lot of women can’t or choose not to breastfeed. But it is definitely in the formula companies’ best interest for you not to succeed – thereby guaranteeing a customer for the next 12 months. That is why they are doing this. That is why they used to give formula samples in the hospital, and that is why most hospitals have stopped allowing it.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sometimes you have to try a few different kinds of formula to find the right one. It’s nice to have free samples so you dont have to pay for them. When my twins left the NICU we got several different kinds of formula and gots lots of free samples from companies to try. Yes, companies want you to use their brand but lets not try to be so negative, huh?

        • Patty

Why oh why did I click the comments? I knew I’d find some insensitive jerkwad as anon up there, reply 54.1. It just doesn’t work out sometimes. My DIL was devastated a few weeks ago as she had to give up BF her week old baby. If you had said that to my face, I’d punch your nose.

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

She did not make any derogatory comments about any woman who chooses to formula feed. Only that the formula companies are encouraging women to fail at breastfeeding by providing free samples (often before they are even born). They do! And it is in their best interest. If you feel for your friend who was devasted that she had to give up breastfeeding, then you should especially understand. You are right – sometimes it doesn’t work out, that doesn’t make mom a failure. But big companies often speed new moms down this path. No need to be mean when the original poster (not me by the way) was not mean.

          • Melissa M

54.1 anon…I too had to give up bf, I couldn’t produce enough milk…I have tried with both my children. Do you think I wasn’t devastated!!!! Something I wanted to do so bad, and wasn’t able to. People are so hurtful. You really need to mind your own business!!!

            • megan

just in case you didn’t know, none of that crap about pro breatfeeding can actually be proven. there needs to be a control group to do this research, and it is illegal now to study humans in this manner. sorry, but you can’t prove anything, from gets sick less to higher intelligence. all you can see is correlation, but correlation does not imply causation. take a statistics course!

              happily formula feeding!

            • chrissy

all anon was saying in the first place is that when you supplement you make less milk. it’s a fact. and when you have formula around you are more likely to use it if you have a bad day/ hard time bfing. i know from experience because i was afraid i wasn’t producing enough milk, so i tried the sample the hospital gave me. fortunately for me my son refused it, forcing me to keep tryingand i was successful. so anon wasn’t trying to be hurtful, just stating the facts.

            • Alea

Megan is right. My sons were both formula fed (well one still is – he is only 9 months) and all their breastfeed friends got sick way more than they did/do. My firstborn actually was never sick until he was 1 and a half and that was catching from rotovirus from a breastfed baby! He is a super smart child and I have no problems with formula feeding. Every family needs to choose what works best for them. It’s their right and their baby – and I really wish all moms could just be more supportive of each other instead of trying to force their way on others as the only right way or the best way for everyone.

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

            Patty, you are the woman

      • MommySpendsLess

I realize that your comment was not meant to be hurtful but the breast/formula issue is a sensitive topic for many mothers. Usually when a company offers us a freebie, everyone cheers and rushes to hop on the bandwagon and those companies (whether it’s toothpaste, shampoo or the latest invitation only online boutique) are providing a promotion code or sample so that you will try their product and become brand loyal to them. If Colgate offered a free sample, you wouldn’t say that they’re being “unkind” to you, even if you think Crest is a better choice, you just wouldn’t take advantage of it. I think the same thing needs to apply here. If you wish to discuss the possible benefits of breastfeeding, please do so on an appropriate forum.

        • Genny Ward

          Well said! 🙂

          • randi

sometimes bf just does not work out! my baby is 1 1/2 weeks old and would not take to my nipple. so if it comes down to my baby starving then he is on foumula!!!!!

            • Sarah

Wow, you people are ridiculous. The original poster is correct here. The formula companies are not doing you any favors. And saying that there is no difference between formula and breast milk (or there being any more benefit to breast feeding) is plain ignorant, stupid and shows your lack of education. There is a HUGE difference. And yes, breast fed babies do still get sick, but that also has a lot to do with the environment they are in as well as hand washing practices of their caregivers. Comparing how often a formula fed baby that stays at home with their mom to a breast fed baby in a large daycare gets sick is hardly a fair trial. However, breast fed babies DO tend to have stronger immune systems.

If only formula companies would use the money they spend on advertising and sending out cases of free samples on breastfeeding education, and proper lactation consulting, there wouldn’t be so many asinine comments on blogs such as this. Seriously, do some research, and while you’re at it, look into how the Nestle corporation pretty much destroyed a tribe in africa due to pushing formula on its people.

            • MommySpendsLess

              To Sarah (54.1.3.1.1.1)

I applaud your passion and enthusiasm, but please try to be a little kinder in your wording. Calling people “ridiculous,” “ignorant” and “stupid” won’t win many people over to your cause.

Formula companies are businesses and, like all businesses, their goal is to make money, not provide public education. It’s illogical to expect them to spend their advertising budget promoting alternatives to their products. To borrow my previous example, that would be like Crest paying for television commercials to explain why Colgate is better at fighting cavities.

    • Mindy

and sometimes, formula feeding just doesn’t work out at all either. I BF all 3 of my kids for more than a year. My 3rd absolutely refused to take a bottle and I desperately needed to return to work b/c I had no more time available (taking leave without pay at that point). We literally tried every bottle that was sold in BRU. None of them worked. So he wouldn’t eat all day and would nurse off and on all night.

People get so worked up about FF v. BF. Who really cares? You just do what is best for you and move on.

  5. Elaine

The number does not seem to be a valid number. It does not ring.

    • Ashley

Keep trying, it took me awhile for it to connect. I just hung up and hit redial until I got through. I’m now on hold and says I have a wait time of 9 minutes.

  6. Nicole

that would be a awesome deal if my son was a newborn agian lol :)….

  7. Staci

I just got off the phone didnt ask for flyer or anything super nice

  8. Amanda

What was the exp date on those?
My little one gets here in June. The nursette bottles were a life saver for my last baby.

  9. Linda

As a grandmother they would not let me order and have delivered to parents to be home.

  10. jenny

asked me for code in corner, exp date, and what was in red ribbon, took several tries before i got threw. i have a 7 week old so this will be very helpful to supplement with breast feeding when back to work

  11. Sarah

I just called. I’m not eligible because my due date is “too far in the future.” Hmm…July sure does feel like it’s right around the corner.

    • Anastasia

Try again, I am due in July and it worked fine for me…

  12. Linda Dempsey

I was finally able to get through and was just asked one question about the flyer and given the free samples right away. I am so excited to bring these to my sister-in-law who just had her first child Jan 10th! 🙂

  13. Rebekah

I just got through & they asked me alsorts of questions about the baby. Then she said she will put in the request, but might not get it if they are out.

  14. marcy

Formula companies give away formula to try to create more formula users. This is not saving money when any formula given to an infant sabatages breasfeeding efforts, thus making you relient on forumula. I know this is not the place to discuss formula vs. breastfeeding, just beware that this “freebie” can actually end up costing people a lot of money in the long run. It is all a marketing ploy by formula companies.

    • Lisa

Not everyone can breastfeed or wants to breastfeed so lets not be so judgemental. This freebie will help out a lot of people who were planning to use formula.

    • Jill

When a mother uses formula for whatever reason, this is a great and is saving her money.

      • Tricia

Thank you Lisa and Jill. I wish I had known about this site when I had to formula feed my daughter. I did what I could for coupons (coupon swap etc) but I see all of the valuable resources that I did not use and wish I could go back! 🙂 Whether or not I choose to bf (or anyone else for that matter) saving money is what this site is all about.

    • Melissa M

I had to give up bf, I couldn’t produce enough milk…I have tried with both my children. Do you think I wasn’t devastated!!!! Something I wanted to do so bad, and wasn’t able to. People are so hurtful. You really need to mind your own business!!!

    • marcy

How did I say anything judgemental? Where did I criticize those who formula feed? My point is just if you want to breastfeed, don’t get this free formula, it will cost you in the long run. Formula companies want you to be formula users.

    • Jana

I tried (and, tried and tried) to breastfeed my DS for 10 long, stressful weeks…day and night..pumping and feeding until I just dried up. I had no choice but to use formula so I feel for Moms that really try hard to breast feed and just can’t! Also, if you HAVE to and use Enfamil…the Sam’s version is just as good…exactly equal in nutrition and ingredients. and much MUCH cheaper! Hope this helps someone!

  15. Krys

The phone number is good. Had to call about 5 times and then wait about 6 minutes on hold. You have to be eligible for this offer. They ask for date of birth and thats where I stopped. The date of birth would not coincide with a bottle fed baby. I declined and asked if I could receive one for someone else. They said I was not eligible. Would have made a nice baby shower gift. We have to stay honest.

  16. cmm

im dailing 18002229123 but nothing is happening it told me seven time that the number can not be completed as dailed am i doing something wrong.

    • Megan

The same thing is happening to me. Then I tried to contact them through their website for something totally unrelated and I can’t get through that way either! Grrrrr.

  17. LAS

    Very true.
This is all a marketing plan to get more users. In the long run it will cost more in medical costs.

    • Milka

I’m sorry but did you say that formula causes medical problems?

    • megan

see above comment, cannot be proven. or even backed up!

      • chrissy

it is proven. look at the “ingredients” in breast milk. nothing else can provide for your baby and their immune system what breastmilk offers. as a formula fed baby who was sick all the time growing up, i can def vouche for that. i breastfeed my kids and they almost never get sick and when they do it’s very mild. i know this is not the place for this debate but i don’t want someone reading your comment and getting the wrong information.

        • megan

may i see your “proof”? do you have scientific evidence that can be reproduced? i also don’t wish for people to be misinformed. as a formula fed baby, I can vouch for never being sick. I haven’t been ill in 5+ years, and was almost never sick as a child either. guess there goes your hearsay-based hypothesis. it is not the place, but if you say you have “proof”, go for it, prove it to me, because i can tell you right now, you cannot reproduce these scientific studies. where is their control group? and, since babies are individuals, unless they are kept in a vaccum the entire childhood, other factors will influence them.

    • Briar Rose

I don’t want to get into it, but how exactly will cost more in medical costs? I am slightly curious about that.

  19. Lynsey

Y’all, everyone knows Collin does not appreciate negativity on her site. Drop the FF/BF debate. There are others venues to accomodate this ‘beat-to-a-pulp’ topic.

    • melissa

BABYCENTER.COM is a great venue for these debates 🙂 ahhh how I dont miss those days on my birthboard!

      • Tricia

haha…thank you ladies! Couldn’t have said it better.

  20. Salli

This is a marketing method, just like all the other free samples that are given away by companies are a way to market their products. What offers that someone who qualifies for them chooses to/does not choose to take advantage of is no one’s business but his/her own. I agree with those who have said this is not the forum for bf/formula discussion, and would respectfully ask that those who feel the need to do it here discontinue it.

Having said that, I’m glad Collin posted this. I received this flyer at my dr’s office during one of my last visits, stashed it in my massive paperwork folder, and completely forgot about it. I’m due March 16 and am trying to have contingency plans for as many issues that could arise as I possibly can. Thanks, Collin, for reminding me!

I’m currently on hold waiting to get through. I did dial 18002229123, and received a busy signal the first 2 times. My wait time was estimated to be 15 minutes.

    • Salli

FWIW, I just got through. The woman was very polite, and advised that I should receive it via Fed Ex in 5-7 days. Also, if you’re signed up for their email program, you’ll receive mailers with coupons/samples starting about 30 days prior to your due date.

  21. kellie

Thanks for the info! Kept calling, took many tries but I finally got through! Now a 23 minute wait. Yikes! haha

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Is this available to canadians, does anyone know?

  22. Melissa A

Collin, Thank you for posting this to your site as there are many parents who formula feed for whatever reason. Formula is expensive and the ‘brand name’ companies do their best to keep the business. I formula fed both of my kids and it sure was nice to get coupons and free canisters every once in a while.

I’m sorry, I am usually a very positive person on this site. But shame on those of you who can’t look past your personal feelings on this matter and bash the people who make a choice different than yours. I generally read some comments to see if others like a product or have issues I have. That’s what comments should be for, not a soapbox.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I totally agree! Sometimes mothers have NO choice between the two from the start and sometimes mothers make their own choice either way for whatever works for their situation. How dare anyone on here think that it is their right to put down anyone for thier choice! We each have our own lives filled with decisions we make for our own families. Besides this site is not for bashing others it is to be helpful and supportive to others.

      • Genny Ward

Well said! I had to FF since I was a foster mom to a 4-day-old baby (who we are adopting now). So, there are many ladies who don’t have the choice. 🙂

Whether you get the choice or not, it’s to each their own. 🙂

        • Megan

It’s nice to see some ladies with great morals here!! It’s also sad to see how judgemental people are towards others who have a different opinion than themselves. Agree to disagree.

        • andrea

I breastfed my first 3 (supplementing with formula as I did not produce enough milk). Was determined to completely breastfeed my 4th but when she was 3 weeks old I had gall bladder attacks and had to have surgery. Had to put her on formula completely. Breastfed #5 but had to supplement with formula as he was underweight. Completely breastfed #6. So I’ve had 1 formula fed, 1 breastfed, and 4 combination fed. Haven’t seen any difference at all in terms of who gets sick more, who has higher intelligence, etc. You have to do what is right for you and your family.

  23. Katy Austin

Mine is ordered! I used the automated system by pressing 2. Thanks!

  24. SimplySara

I have a question about ethics in requesting these sorts of samples. I am not pregnant (and have no children) but my friends and I go out once a month to bring care packs to the homeless and every month we run across at least one mother with a baby. It breaks my heart to see these babies and I worry that their mommies don’t get enough to eat (or drink) to be able to make enough milk for their babies. Obviously I’d have to lie to get these samples so that’s kind of telling me that it’s wrong to do it, but on the other hand, it’s for a good cause. I’m just curious what other people think about this. I haven’t decided what to do yet…

    • MommySpendsLess

I’m sure the women would be unbelievably grateful knowing their babies had full bellies (I truly can’t imagine how horrible I would feel if I knew my daughter was hungry and I couldn’t do anything for her) but I don’t think requesting a free sample, meant to generate customers, under false pretenses would be the right way to help them.

Maybe you could contact Enfamil (or other formula/baby food companies) and see about a corporate sponsorship for one of your local soup kitchens/homeless shelters?

      • Quanniece

I totally agree. Getting samples that you can’t personally use (but could be used to help someone else) should not be received under false pretenses. Write companies and explain your cause and what your doing and see if they offer to help. Freebies like this should be saved for ppl/mothers whom really are going to use it and have actually obtained the flyer from a doctors visit. I also don’t have any kids but have family members and friends that are in financial need and I will definetly take up a coupon offer (the $3 enfamil coupon offer months ago) and purchase free of cheap formula and donate to friends, family or a shelter. Just my 2 cents!

    • andrea

I watch the markdown carts at my supermarket. Sometimes they have formula marked way down and if I can afford to get it, I will and give it to our local homeless shelter.

  25. theresa

I didn’t have to talk to anyone– I did it all through the automated system!

    • Julie

Did it specifically say that you’d get the sample? I “registered” on the phone, but it didn’t say if I’d get the samples. Thanks!

    • B

You have to speak to a person. You just enrolled in their coupon program.

  26. Susan C.

    Thank you so much!!!!

  27. Robin

I went through the automated system but they did not ask for a mailing address. Did they ask for one from you?

  28. Rachel

Thanks for the info Collin 🙂 I have a 10 day old baby boy and although I strictly breastfeed only, I know that not everyone is physically cabable of doing so. Some of my dear friends wanted to but for medical type reasons were unable to. I think that it is wrong to judge others based on what they feed their infant. TRUE Breastmilk is BEST, and it makes your kids smarter, have less allergies and many other things, but that doesn’t make it right for everyone in every situation. I love being able to get the formula freebies and pass them on to those in need. We should all HELP each other not degrade one another. I know my baby is getting the best he can, but prehaps samples of enfamil will really help a struggling mother who would otherwise have to purchase the cheapest brand she can find.

Please be kind to one other, it helps NO ONE to attack each other. We are all doing the best we can and need love and support.

    • MommySpendsLess

It’s my understanding that the content of baby formula is pretty strictly regulated so whether you’re purchasing a national brand or a generic, your baby is still getting the same vitamins/minerals. The difference is more in color/texture/taste/ease of dissolving/mixing without bubbles/etc. Measuring and mixing the bottle correctly (which, unfortunately hospitals don’t teach new parents because breastfeeding is more PC) is more important than how much money you spend.

As a side note, my 18 month old was exclusively formula fed and she’s perfectly healthy, happy and smart. She has no allergies, has never had an ear infection, met/is meeting all her milestones, has an advanced vocabulary, etc. I say that, not to discredit or sway people from breastfeeding, but as comfort to those mothers that can’t or don’t wish to breastfeed. One may currently be considered best, but it’s not the ultimate (or I daresay even major) determinant of your baby’s potential or your worth as a mother. I think in a discussion like this, that can be all too easy to forget.

    • Briar Rose

I exclusively formula fed my daughter Enfamil from 15 minutes old to 12 months old. And she is very gifted. Has outstanding test scores and is getting ready to skip a grade. Please do not use the argument that breast fed babies are smarter than formula fed babies. That could really hurt somebody else’s feelings who wanted to breast feed and did not have the opportunity too.

      • Amanda

Sometimes the facts do hurt. Rachel is right and studies prove that breastmilk fed babies have higher IQ’s. Nothing is wrong with formula feeding if you have done your research about the two and decided formula is the option for you. But you really can not argue with facts about breastmilk being best, it says it on pretty much EVERY formula container and no formula company is denying it. It worked to get humanity to this point… didn’t it yet all of a sudden formula is ‘as good’ as something that somes natural? Sorry don’t think so.

        • MommySpendsLess

I’m not trying to say that breast milk isn’t currently considered the “best” choice or that it isn’t the most “natural” choice, only that there are sooo many other factors that contribute to a child’s abilities and IQ that it’s extreme to say a breastfed child will be significantly smarter than one who drinks formula, based on that fact alone. To prove conclusively that breastmilk alone increases IQ they would need an impossibly perfect controlled study. They would need two genetically and physically identical babies (which is nearly impossible, even with identical twins, as they often have slightly different birth weight and likely other physical/mental differences) who receive EXACTLY the same interactions and environment (also nearly impossible) and give one formula and one breastmilk for an extended period of time and then test their IQs. And to be conclusive they would have to do this study multiple times.

They can study trends and statistics but they can’t rule out other contributing factors and general trends that happen to correspond with breastfeeding. Maybe a mother who is willing to make the time and effort to breastfeed their child is also more likely to make the time and effort to read to/talk to/teach her child (not saying non-breastfeeding mothers aren’t). Maybe a mother who is able to breastfeed long term is able to stay home from work longer indicating a higher socio-economic status and the medical attention and educational opportunities that go along with it (not saying non-breastfeeding mothers are poor). There are many other possible coincidences that have nothing to do with breastfeeding itself that could make it appear that breastfeeding makes kids smarter. Either way, throwing that “fact” around, especially on a board where it doesn’t belong (admittedly kind of hypocritical given this rant 🙂 ) could be hurtful to some people.

I’m glad you’re happy with and proud of your choices, please let everyone else feel good about theirs.

          • anonymous

My formula fed daughter gets far better grades and has a much easier time in school than my breastfed daughter. They both get sick about the same. I think a lot of it has to do with genetics and such also, not just FF or BF.

      • Jana

I agree! I HAD to formula feed my DS and he’s so smart! 21 months old and can say almost anything, sings songs (IN TUNE), understands everything he’s told and recognizes 16-17 letters, and his numbers (mostly) to 13 almost 100% of the time, and speaks some Spanish! I think that’s pretty stinkin’ smart! He also walked at 10 months and is 95th percentile in height and 65th in weight! big healthy boy! 🙂

        • Jana

oh, and he’s hardly been sick at all. Picture of health.

  29. Krys

Sometimes we have to skip offers even though they’re tempting and we know it would help someone. Let’s just keep coming back to this great website and find something different. Let the new mommies and mommies to be take advantage of this one.

  30. Julie

It took me several tries too, but I finally got through about the 4th or 5th time. I called the number and waited on hold for 19 minutes. I told the lady at Enfamil about the offer that I’d see and that I’d like to get the samples. She said that they can’t send it to me, and that I could get it from my doctor or hospital when I deliver? I tried to explain that it was posted that I could get 4 free boxes and she said that I needed some flier or something that she needed info off of? I didn’t get them, so I guess I have to ask my hospital when I deliver in a couple of weeks.

  31. fierbaugh5

I just got through and they are on their way. I am expecting my 4th baby and have exclusively breastfed all of my children so far for the first 4 months and continued to bf until they were 15 months. I plan to do the same with this baby. It is nice to be able to pump some breast milk and let my husband experience some of the bonding that occurs when you get to feed your baby.

  32. Amy T

I could not get it because my baby is 3 months old and this formula is specific for under 3 months but they are sending me a 5$ off coupon for any of their other formula

  33. Julie K

After waiting on hold for 20 minutes I was informed that because I planned on donated them to the food bank and I wasn’t the actual parent the offer does not apply. So ladies, don’t make the same mistake I did!

  34. Jeneva

I couldn’t get through. It kept saying “welcome to verizon wireless, the number you are trying to dial is no longer in service”. Did anyone else get the same problem? Is the number 1800-222-9123?

    • Jeneva

It went through this time with a wait time of 19 min. Let’s see if this works. 🙂

    • Jeneva

I was told it was only for women in their 3rd trimester or with newborns! I’m only in my 2nd trimester. 🙁 Hopefully more of you ladies with get it.

  35. Emily

I finally got through. I had a flyer, but the lady said she can’t send them to me because my baby would be older than 3 months by the time I got them in the mail (by like 3 days). Oh well.

  36. Lydia Weiselberg

keep trying – just got through – took another 20 min on hold and because I am the grandmother they would only send out a coupon. So will try again when my daughter gets home.

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just read this on another site…..(in case they ask you for a flyer code)

    Free 24 Count Case Enfamil
Hi Girls, Those of you who are bottle feeding or both, Enfamil is doing a promotion where you call and get a free 24 count case of 2 fl oz premium newborn nursette bottles. I’m not sure if this is location specific, but it doesn’t hurt to try to call and see if you can get it. The phone number is 1-800-baby123.

When you call, they ask you for your name, phone number, address, when your due date is, and the name of your delivery hospital. I chose not to give them my email, so you don’t have to if you don’t want to. They will ask you for the code on the back of the coupon… It is LA3960 NEW 11/10. The coupon code is the same on all of the coupons at my doctor’s office, so you all can use it if you want… It’s not code specific. I called twice already and I’m having one shipped to my house and one shipped to my mom’s house. I just gave them different information.

Try it and see if it works. I live in Staten Island, NY, so I’m not sure if it is a promotion in only this area, but give it a try and see if it works.

    Good Luck!

Thank you so much, sometimes patience is a virtue(or so said my Mom) I tried 10 times, waited over 20 minutes, then got a real sweetheart, asked name, address, and said it is on the way. Told her bless her and thank you so much and have a great weekend, she said oh my how nice and thanked me for being patient. Thanks for the info, really great, I am learning from the best. Take care to all. S

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    So I don’t have this “

  39. Aleshia

Well I had to wait 18 min. but when they finally came through all had to do was let them know I was expecting and when and they are going to send it out and it should be here in 5-6 days 🙂

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Finally got through…I just said I had a flyer and wanted to receive the free formula. She asked me a couple questions and said she was shipping it. Wooooo hooooo…..

  41. melissa

this is a great deal! Enfamil has been an awesome company!

I see so many comments of the bf vs ff – and I would just like to say – some people cannot bf I bf my son until he was 17 1/2mos old – just 5 days before I delivered my next son and nursed him until he was 15 mos old and would have continued had I not broken my shoulder and been able to hold him….

that being said, my 1st was bf but due to many severe sensitivities it took me having to pump/dump for a month to get her thru that – and the formula was a lifesaver – literally! Had I not done that – I would have started her on baby foods later thinking all was ok – but thru the help of the formula company, my ped, and much research we learned what she could not handle, even items that would have stopped her breathing! Formula helped us thru this phase, of which I am forever thankful for.

  42. katti

    just worked for me…
should be here within 5-7 days.
    thanks everyone!

  43. Jill Sounhein

its not letting me connect, saying rejecting the call! Why?

  44. JEAN COOK

I think the phone number is disconnected … it won’t even dial out for me at this particular time. I’ll try again later.

  45. Stefany

I got through and used the automated system. As far as BF vs FF… as mothers we all need to stop judging others and just leave well enough alone. I was not able to breast feed even after medications to help me produce more milk and ended up having to FF.. My son is completely healthy. Jeez ladies, just calm down.

    • Julie

I did the automated system too, but it didn’t say anything specifically about receiving this sample, just coupons… Did it say you’d get this sample? I called back and am now on hold so that I can talk to someone to be sure we get it.

  46. Megan S.

Just worked for me. I was on hold for 19 minutes. Finally got through. I am being sent 48 bottles for my 2 month old baby. All the lady asked me was if I had the flier. If you use the automated system, you more than likely won’t receive the 24 or 48 count shipment. All that does is sign you up for the Family Beginnings program… which will send you formula checks & coupons mostly.

    • Julie

I think you’re right. I sat and waited to talk to someone and THEN she told me she’d send the sample after she asked a few questions.

  47. dee

keep getting busy signal as well.

  48. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

after holding for 20+ minutes got through. I’m due in a few weeks so they are sending 1. yeah, finally!

  49. Jill Sounhein

i got through after 20 times of trying and and 20 minutes of being on hold

  50. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

CMM- It did that to me, you just have to keep trying. They were also able to send me a dif sample bc my baby is not an “infant” anymore. They were really accommodating! Thanks for the deal!
