**P.S. I have never heard of Squinkies and I have a 4 year old daughter! I am clearly out of the loop when it comes to the hottest toys?! 😉

I usually have not heard about a certain toy until one of my kids specifically asks for it. Right now we are in a Zoobles and Cutant Mutant collecting phase.

My daughter loves these. I will be honest and say they are one of those toys that I just don’t get at all. They come in those little bubbles and she took them all out as soon as she opened them. She loves them though. She saw the picture you posted and got all excited because she thought she was getting one. My fingers are crossed that I win. Good luck ladies!

    • lms1983

Too funny, My daughter thought the same also. She loves these things. Bought them a few weeks ago. Honestly, I dont get them either. And she’s lost half of them already!

  4. Nicole

My daugher loves these things and so does my son. They got them from Santa. Now they have Squinkies with hair too. My daughter wants those!

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They are really cute, I like them, but very very small.

  6. e geske

My 5 year old daughter received these for Christmas and totes her family of Squinkies where ever she wonders. They are cute!

  7. debra

These were a big item at Christmas. I bought some at TRU for my niece. Definitely not for small children.

On that note, if anyone has an extra 20% off code I really would appreciate it. debra32@yahoo.com
Would happily send you some coupons in exchange.

  8. Renee

    My kids love them!

  9. Sarah

I saw on their site that a mom used them as a potty training treat…so going to do that. Even if I don’t win one..going to buy this motivation treat today..lol! Good luck everyone:)

They are cute. They are sweet. They are purposeless. Would be cuter (in my opinion) of they had a knobby thing on top and could ‘link’ together like pop beads???

The purpose of my comment is to say STAY AWAY FROM THEM. They are the legos of girl world. They are everywhere in my home. Under the table, in the couch, in the hallway…….and where they are not, their little plastic bubble are. Uhg.

But thanks for the heads up- of course I headed right over and ‘liked’ them. I have a friend I am upset with and I’m gonna give em to her kid (evil snicker……..)

    • meganph

hehe i love it! my daughter stares longingly at them every time we are at target. i just can’t bring myself to buy them because i know i will be stepping on them everywhere. that and i have a 2 year old in the house. great idea on the gift thing though!

    • Stephanie

The new releases actually have bracelets and rungs you can pop them onto.

After having gone to Polly Pocket hell with 2 girls and wondering just what sick toy maker thinks kids really play with all those irrelevant tiny accessories, I just gave in and now throw all that stuff in clear bins.

The only good factor I see is that the tiny toys really do take up less room and can be corralled easily.

I have heard of these and let me tell you If you really want a deal on these, watch the quarter machines at restuarants and stores. My son loves these and when I saw the price at $4.99 for a tube of 6 and I think it is $9.99 for a 10 or 15 pack I almost died. Our local CiCi’s pizza has 2 machines that we get these out of for $0.25 a piece.

    • shana

I have bought these out of the quarter machine before and was wondering if you remember the name of them. They were a different name then squinkies my father works in vending and told me if i found out the name of them he could get them very cheap but i went back to the machine and they were replaced with a new toy. Thank you for any help finding out.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Ooooh, now that you mention it, I just remembered one of our local restaurants has them!! I don’t think they are the Squinkies brand, but they’re the exact same concept. Thanks for the idea!!

  12. carrie

  15. Katy

    • Brianna

      Me too! Hope it’s good!

  16. Michelle

Some of my CCD students have them but I cannot bring myself to buy them as they are cute little choking hazards for my 3 year old who puts everything in her mouth.

  17. Dawn

I refused to buy these for my daughter for Christmas as I saw absolutely no play value in them—-I know she would have forgotten about them immediately after Christmas! BUT if I get them free, that’s another thing, so I “liked” them. 🙂

  18. crystal

I love these they are so cute, I have been wanting to get them for my daughter. Problem is my 2 year old son likes to eat everything! :/

  19. Dawn

Once silly bandz were banned from my daughter’s school, this became the big “thing” because they fit on top of the pencils and the kids can trade them.

I love the little bubbles they fit in because you can put them in there and store them in a large Bubblegum machine or the fun Prize Klaw machines!

  20. Becky E.

My daughters love these. They both got a pack of them for Christmas and immediately opened them all up and lost them. LOL

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Think vending machine toys repackaged. 🙂 Sure wish I had thought of the idea because my older daughters love those things. Of course I keep finding my 2 year old with them in her mouth, so if you have a little one, be careful. I know my girls will be thrilled if I win one of these!!

  22. Misty

So I am looking at your blog for about 5 minutes or so and thinking to myself, I too have never heard of this toy. As I am looking at the page, my 3 yo comes over and tells me she wants that Squeekie toy. I never said anything out loud, so apparently, they must be advertising on TV or something, but I too have never heard of it 😉

Be happy you don’t have these yet Colin! I don’t get it at all but my 7 year old asked for them for Christmas. Our relatives had no idea what they were since they don’t have kids old enough (or at all) to buy for.
