   my borders will not take coupons at this time, b/c they are closing. make sure you check with your store. mine has everything discounted, so no coupons @ all.

  They are closing down 200 of their stores – the rest are staying open for now.

   I was in the Borders store in Dayton, OH last night and they have everything 20-40% off right now for their closing. The associate said they are closing about 1/3 of their stores nationwide because of declaring bankruptcy. So some of you are lucky enough to be in an area with a store NOT closing. I always have preferred Borders over Barnes and Noble.

   If your store is closing, check out their calendars and planners! Pretty much anything with dates on it was considered a calendar and they’re all marked at $1. I found $15 planners for $1!

   Not sure about anyone else, but as a borders rewards member I got a very nice email from the CEO explaining the closures and reasonings. I thought it was great that the company wants to share their journey with their customers, regardless! Haven’t heard anything about my local borders yet, but it’s the only major book store in our area so I hope it is staying!
