Thanks Collin! My favorite deal is the 6 bags of drops. They go fast in our house.

  2. Candace

Collin, If poeple still have the the $6 off any 2 Motrin pm, zyrtec, pepcid, or tylanol precise (as I do) it will make the motrin deal even sweeter with the each motrin free and a $3 money maker.
    thanks for all you do!

    • Aurielle

Yes, i still have my $6/2 i cant wait to stock up on those RR. Im sure some cashier will give a hard time. But i will try it early Sunday morning before the followers come.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Candace, I was going to say the same thing!!!! I still have two $6/2 so this will be a great MM if stock is in. Guess I’ll have to run out first thing on Sunday morning!!! LOL

      • Gabrielle

That’s what I was just thinking! I didn’t get to use my $6/2 coupon last time so now I finally get to use it 🙂

        • Susie

Was that a printable, or from an insert?

          • Collin

            Hi Susie,

The coupon is found in the 1/9 SS and was previously available on SmartSource.

            • Susie

              Found it! THANKS! 🙂

            • Caitlin

Do you know if the printables that were available a couple of months ago with an exp. of 4/30 will work for this? I ended up printing out like 12 of them and have been trying to use them to get the $3.14 bottles at Target and they heckle me EVERY time!

    • Collin

You guys are good! 😀 I will update the post!

  3. Robin Bockstal

Woohoo!!! I see a whole lot of free on this list. Thanks for the heads up!

  4. Noelle

SO excited about these deals!! I still have the $6 off 2 coupon that was on smartsource a long time ago. Those will make the Motrin an awesome moneymaker!!!!

  5. ashley

Maybe I am the only person who does not typically shop at Walgreens.. but it looks like I should! How do the RR work? Are they just taken off automatically or are they credits you can use on your next purchase?

    • Bella

i havent done the “rr” thing. but im pretty sure it prints on your receipt and you can use it on your next purchase. ive seen girls say they will ring up all their items that have RR’s in 1 transaction…get the RR’s and use them to pay for stuff that didnt have RR’s, in 2nd transaction

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They can also be used at other stores, as long as you use them at the self scan. They are manufacturer coupons, so the store you use them at will still get reimbursed, but they won’t knowingly take them. 🙂

        • Selene

I did not know that! Do I have to buy certain things, like something from the same manufacturer to make it work???

        • Lolo

that is not true. Many stores will knowingly take them. My Ralphs ( a Kroger affiliate) is the one who actually told me to bring them in and use them in their store (long story as to how it came about….) So i use them regularly when I get a lot of extra to pay for stuff like meat and veggies etc….

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

they are credits you get for the next time. and they will not work on the same product next time either. has to be a different manufacturer.

    • Olivia Smith

      Hi-

Register Rewards are ‘catalina’ coupons that print from a separate machine than your receipt. They work on your next purchase and are just like the ECBS and UP+ rewards.

      • ashley

        Good to know. Thanks!

    • TereSaves3

I’m not sure if Collin would mind if I were to post a link or info on another great website for some people who do webinars for drug stores and a whole lot of other topics – all for FREE. Honestly, there’s no scam behind it – they are really great people who know a lot about couponing. Collin, I really hope you don’t mind me saying all of this – because I am also very much attached to your website and your info!

If anybody is interested in knowing more, you can email me at teresaves3 @ gmail dot com

  6. LaToya

I haven’t done Wags in a long time…been all about the Rite Aid….but I’ll give this one a go this week…

  7. Emily

Collin, in the diabetes & you mag there’s a mfc coupon for $1 off colgate total, and a wags q for $1 off colgate total. BUT the wags q expires 2/28, so if you go shopping by monday, a $2 MM!!

    • TereSaves3

Plus, the diabetes & you magazine is on Walgreens’ website – you can print out the Colgate coupon from there. It’s a PDF, so I printed a few of them, and will try the deal this Sunday!

Edit: the coupon I mentioned is a manufacturer coupon.

    • Melinda

Emily, where do I find the WAGS coupon? I have one but it expires on the 26th.

  8. Rachael

Do you guys have the $1 off any baby magic qp? Whoo Hooo, money maker!!! I can’t wait!

    • Ashley

      hey,
where do you find that coupon?

      • Nicole

They were FB coupons.. i think. No longer available, but when I used mine at Walmart the bottles there had .50 hang tags… I’ll be using those at Walgreens this week! Love Baby Magic!

    • Judith

the baby magic coupons I printed a couple of weeks ago expire tomorrow 2/24! 🙁

      • Rachael

Oh, mine expires on the 24th, too….darn….do they take expired coupons?

  9. Lisa

Anyone know if these deals will work in the test markets with Walgreens Rewards?

    • Emily

Ooh, most of the times test markets don’t really have any of the good wags deals. They pretty much have ‘double points’ or ‘5 times the points’. 🙁

Maybe if you can go a city over, they might not be a test market. hth!

    • Mae

Good question about these deals working in test markets ie: where you must use the new WG card in lieu of coupons/and to get the sale prices. I am in Oregon and recently found out the hard way that most of the super HOT deals do not work here in OR 🙁 I am starting to HATE the wags card… one other reason is that it forces the wag deals and coupons to be taken off before the manufacture coupons, rather then the way we couponers normally do it- in reverse! Booo. Plus, when I originally heard about this card, I thought you were supposed to get a $10 voucher on your birthday….That never happened for me… neither my husband. You might like to tell wags corp the card sucks and you don’t want it to come to your state.

      • Brenda

I totally agree! I have called several times to complain about this new program. I use to shop Wags on a daily basis, but rarely go anymore. I go to RiteAid now, better deals and great customer service!

  10. Jill

I’m new to Walgreen’s shopping… usually I just follow Collin’s CVS advice, but this seems like a good time to start going to Walgreen’s too.

Okay, here’s my questions. Are the register rewards basically like “Walgreens Bucks” like the ECB are at CVS ? Once you get the RR, can you then use them on anything like you can ECB? I want to try this, but I have no clue what I’m doing !!
    THank you !!

    • Emily

Ok, Register Rewards ‘rr’ are basically like walgreens bucks. BUT You cannot use them on the same item that you got them from, otherwise the other RR will not print. You can pretty much use them on anything, same restrictions as ECB’s, BUT a downside is they expire in a week. They are manu q’s, and walgreens only allows 1 manu q per item, so you have to get ‘fillers’ if you want to use RR and a regular manu q. Collin has a video about walgreens, click on the top tab ‘stores’ and then click on walgreens, she has a lot of good info there. HTH! 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

make sure you read about “filler items.”

  11. Anonymous

How do you know about all of these deals ahead of time, Collin?

    • Emily

These ads are online most of the times 2 weeks in advance.
      iheartcvs.com has early cvs ads
      iheartwags.com has early walgreens ads
iheartriteaid.com has early rite aid ads.

People upload them to forum sides, such as weusecoupons.com and slickdeals.com, and then other people look at them and do coupon matchups.
      HTH!

      • Anonymous

        Thanks!

    • Lisa

iheartwags.com posts the deals WEEKS in advance. Including ad scans.

  12. jamie

where did you see that you get RR$5 back when you spend 15 in candy drops? the ad says you get $15 in coupons back when you spend 15. good deal if its $5RR back. I still have a lot of the $2/2 coupons

    • Collin

      Hi Jamie,

You are correct… I just checked the ad scan again and realized it is actually for $15 in coupons. Now I am very curious to see exactly what the coupons will be?!

      • jamie

got this from iheartwags.com. dont know if they are manufacture or walgreens coupons
        coupons are:

        Coke 20 oz $1 off 2
Coke 75 oz mini cans 8 pk $2 off
Coke Zero 12 pk $2 off
        Hershey or Reese’s Candy 19.75 oz $3 off 2
Hershey or Reese’s Pieces, Minis, or Drops 8-10 oz $2 off 3
Planters Deluxe Mixed Nuts 10 oz, Deluxe Whole Cashews 9.75 oz, or NUTrition 9.25-9.75 oz $2 off 2
Ritz 16 oz, Wheat Thins 9-10 oz, or Triscuit 9.5 oz $2 off 2
Planters Flavor Grove Almonds 6 oz or Peanuts 16 oz $1 off 2

  13. deepndeals

sigh. i was super excited to see the WAGS ad .. but then i remembered ..i’m in a test area .. and i’ll probably get some crappy extra bonus points rather than RR! i’ll have to wait until the preview ad comes out for Kansas City. sad face.

    • Tara

AGREED – I’m in the KC area test markets too! 🙁

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I love my Wags!!!! They special ordered the motrin for me and I will be there bright and early for the rest of the goodies! I cant wat!

  15. Danielle

Time and again I have tried to use coupons to my advantage at Wags and have had no luck. If my total does not equal the correct amount for the item (example spend 15, get back 5 rr, and I use a coupon for an amount off so it brings the amount OOP to less that 15) then I do not get a RR!

Its very frustrating!!! Although I have read the policy it does not specify. So I pass on alot of deals.

    Any ideas?

  16. RayAnne

Yay! Can’t wait to stock up on some Motrin! =)

  17. mel

n/m the Feb IVC q’s exp Sat the 26th. Bummer
Isn’t there an IVC for the Hershey drops?

  18. Ashley

    Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know about some of the coupons that are out there to make these deals a little sweeter. For the colgate toothpaste, there is a Walgreens IVC ($1) and a $1 manufacturer coupon both located in the Winter Diabetes & You magazine. This is FREE and it’s usually displayed somewhere in the pharamcy. Also, for the Poligrip Deal, there is an internet printable. You have to register on the website [wealthoforalhealth.com], but its a $1 coupon you can use.

    • Collin

Awesome, Ashley!! I am going to add the Poligrip coupon to the post! 🙂

  19. Kristin

I’m just starting with the drugstore couponing. So far I’ve only done Rite Aid. The thought of adding another drugstore’s rewards to keep track of is making me scared! (they are both very near my house, so that part isn’t a problem). Is it possible to get enough toothpaste, shampoo, etc. just by shopping at one of the drugstores? Will I be missing out, or will I just not be able to open a drugstore shop? 😉

    • mel

I was a CVS gal for years, and yes, it is possible to get what you need from just shopping 1 drug store. Last spring, I started Walgreens, but I only do 1 or 2 small deals a week. Then I added Rite Aid over the summer and it is my fav store of the 3.
I have a system to keep track of my rewards so everything stays straight. I got this from another board. I keep track on a desk calendar (bought at the $ tree), writing the amount of the reward in the date and hi-lighting the amount with a color to differentiate between the 3 stores. I do Walgreens RR’s in Yellow, Rite Aid UPs in Blue and CVS ECBs in Orange. When I get the weekly ad, I can look at a glance to see how much store money I have to use that week to roll on deals. Once I use the reward, I scratch them off.

  20. Heather

I never shop Wags, only Rite Aid. Can somebody tell me if you can get more than one of each reward? Say I have two $6 off 2 Motrin q’s, can I buy four in one transaction and get back four $3 rewards?

    • Bee

No, you have to do different transactions.

    • mel

No. Thats one of the reasons I don’t shop much at Walgreens. You can’t purchase more than 1 item and get more RRs back. Like if you buy 2 Motrin, you will only get 1 $3 RR. And you can’t roll your rewards as freely like CVS or Rite Aid. That means you can’t take your Motrin RR and use it towards another bottle. You could roll it on the Baby Magic, then roll it back to the Motrin.

      • Miriam

True. But Walgreens has a big advantage in that there’s no card to track you so you can get many more items when there’s a good deal. They each have pros and cons.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Kristin! I’m fairly new at shopping the drug stores too. You can always get toothpaste for free at Rite Aid and your local grocery store. I started at CVS first and was hesitant to start Rite Aid. But, I’m so glad I did. It seems like Rite Aid has had some great deals lately. I’m tempted to start Walgreens this week though. Happy shopping!

  22. Sandra Lee

Collin…Didn’t you just mention in your Coffee With Collin video a week ago about buying Hershey drops and maybe you shouldn’t have? Girl, you crack me up!

    • Amanda H.

LOL! That was my first thought too! I bought one of the king bags as a filler this week and goodness, they ARE addicting! Yum.

    • Mae

I wouldn’t mention anything to Collin….The deals at Wags are beginning to throw in some deception every now and than… like the time several weeks ago on the deal for Omega Smart Ultimate supplements–[that I ‘thought’ were supposed to be Free after RRs]. I had DH go grab me to boxes (2 separate purchases of course), when he got back you should have seen his face… his reply: “did you know these were rebate deals?”….My reply: “Oh, oops… no I did not, ouch.” How nice of him, he bought them anyways although he hates rebates.

  23. Alesha

Im just hoping Wags really stocked up for these deals….they seem to go so fast…don’t know why they don’t order alot more! Im really excited for these. I should have special ordered!

  24. Bee

Well, here’s my dilemma since I saw this about a week ago.

I can’t really use the Poligrip or Nasal Gel or Anti-aging. Although after reading the nasal gel ingredients, I wonder if I couldn’t use it as a facial product, lol. The hyaluronate usually has different applications.

I could donate the Poligrip, I suppose and the baby wash.

I have several of the Motrin and considered just looking at it as a way to make money. But since I’m not sure that the coupons will go through, it’s still a little iffy. The coupon says “2 participating products”. It doesn’t say size but shows a 40 count Motrin. All it would take to crash that would be a beep and a strict cashier (not so hard to find at Wag’s). Also, I am nearly 40 and have never needed a night time pain reliever. In our house we might use 25 regular Motrin per year. So I’m sure anything above 1-2 boxes would go bad before being used.

I’m trying to think of alternative ways to use baby wash. I generally don’t give those type things as shower gifts because people are going to have to buy it anyway and I try to give them things they would otherwise have a hard time affording, like go in with other people on a stroller, etc. Also, you just never know how a particular baby’s skin will react to certain product formulations.

And goodness knows I WANT to get the Hershey’s drops. Tasty, I love candy and so do the other people living here. But I have already paid for my coupon hobby with extra lbs I am trying to get rid of.

If I was really ambitious, I could go around to several stores and gather up free stuff and sell it at a yard sale. But am I the only person who sees that as a limited opportunity, i.e. you would need a bunch to make it worthwhile and then people would want to know why you have so much medicine, etc. LOL?

Not to be a pessimist but I wish they had the EOS lip balm like at CVS and I could get 5 or 6 of those or those aloe-infused socks they had last year…so soft and luxurious. Seems since last summer the Wag’s free stuff has not really been anything fun and/or particularly relevant.

I guess I am just bummed because I have no Rite Aid. I subscribe to “Refunding Cents” and more than 50% of the outstanding deals are for Rite Aid! I guess eventually Rite Aid will get as stingy as CVS and Wag’s but I would love to be having some fun there right now.

So, Sunday AM I guess I’ll see how adventurous I am or if my teen daughter wants to go get some of the stuff (For some reason, she loves to do drugstore deals even if nothing she gets is relevant to her). With her, I think it’s that she doesn’t have to pay or pay very little (plus tax).

I just have visions of myself standing at the subdivision entrance as people come in and offering them boxes of free Motrin.:)

    • Annnoymous

Feel better? That was quite a ramble…..

      • Bee

Was there someone who coerced you to read it?

        • Annnoymous

          LOL!!!

          • Bee

Sorry, I was just hoping I could drum up some responses about creative ways to use this stuff.:)

    • Brittany

All pills have an expiration date. They have to because they have to be In compliance with regulation. The problem isn’t that the medication becomes toxic or dangerous over time. Medicine (as a general rule) only becomes less effective over time.
Most drugs are pretty stable and the expiration date on the container is designed to make you toss out your old medication and buy more, rather than a true measure of when it becomes ineffective or harmful. If you keep the drugs in a cool dark place with low humidity, most will last a long time. A medicine cabinet above the bathroom sink is one of the worst places to store medicine because it tends to be warm and humid. I have a friend who is a pharmacist, and this came straight from her mouth. I would be more hesitant about using prescription medicine past the expiration date, but Motrin? Nah. I’m not saying that everyone should use OTC medicine past the expiration date, but I just wanted to pass along this information. It’s obviously an individual choice on whether you want to or not. 🙂

      • Selene

Thanks for the info! I have always been wondering.

      • CJ

Last week I took some Excedrin Migraine, which always works on my headaches, and it didnt work at all. Looked at the label and found it expired Dec 10. Then a couple days ago I had another headache, took EM that wasnt expired and the headache went right away. Not sure if it was a coincidence, but I wont use expired medication anymore because it doesnt seem to work as well.

    • MA

How about donating any extras, excess, or things that you don’t use to a local mission that you, or someone, might know of; a local women’s/men’s/children’s shelter; put things back to make shoe boxes at Christmas-Time for projects for those that have little; give your Motrin to a jail or prison-type facility. I like to share with my family and spread the word on how couponing and refunding has so enriched my life, thanks so much to Collin. Especially if they are not as well off as one’s self…share your wealth that you have accumulated from using your strategies and your God-given talents.

If you keep track of what you donate, you can take it off of your income taxes if you itemize, unless that has been changed. I have not done this thus far, but I think it would be perfectly legitimate. Just my .02 worth.

    • Lolo

      Just a heads up Bee…
The coupon WILL beep! It has no code for $6 off 2 so it beeps and tells the cashier to enter the price. I have used the at Rite Aid and the cashiers were like huh? So you will have to prompt the cashier to enter the full $6, which as you said can be a problem with some WAGS cashiers. Thankfully mine are great. I did not finish reading what you wrote as it was just too long, so sorry can’t answer any of your other thoughts. 😉

      • Coupon_Ninja

aggghhhh I wish I would’ve read this a few days ago. I usually always scan through the comments as I make my list. I missed out on $3 because my cashier thought it was prompting her for the item value 🙁

    • JJ

I have a huge issue with people buy to donate…it takes all the products away from other couponers.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So there early or special order, as long as people are being honest in their dealings they can do whatever they want with what they get at these stores. I get so sick of hearing these comments on this site.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry you’re sick of that, but the people who can’t afford such things that get them from our donations to food banks appreciate it. That makes it all good in my book!

        • Coupon_Ninja

Anonymous #2…Anonymous #1 is in agreement with you.

My issue with donating items is if you’re doing it at the expense of other legitimate shoppers. Buying “a few”-like maybe 2 or 3?- of something and subsequently donating it…ok, that’s your time, do with it as you wish. I think most people have a problem with those that clear shelves in the name of charity. It may not be “wrong” but is it “right”?

Another thought would be, are you some kind of supporting member of an organization who is searching for items for your group (like diapers and ladies products for a womens shelter or OTC meds, depends, poligrip for an elderly group), or are you just trying to find a dumping ground for the items you have freed from the clutches of a greedy corporation?

If you end up merely couponing for sport, just some good sportsmanship is all I would ask 😉
          Coupon away!!

  25. mary

theres 1/1 in the diabetes and you mag will only work on sunday and monday because it expires monday

    • Christina

      worked for me-thanks!

    • Selene

It said something like “invalid or missing parameter” but still printed anyway. Thanks!

  26. Christina

There is a $2/2 Nivea lip care q on facebook so I guess the deal would like this:
    buy 2 @ 2.99=$5.98
    minus the $2 q=$3.98
    get back $4rr
final cost free +.02 money maker!

    • Emily

You’d only get one 2RR b/c only one like RR will print per transaction.

    • Tyffany

      You’ll only get a $2 RR eventhough you’re buying 2.

  27. andrea

There is a 1.00 Q for the Aquaphor lip repair so makes it FREE also 🙂 love next week

    • Emily

Yes, BUT You must do it in seperate transactions. 🙂 HTH!

      • snhicks28

Great! I am so excited! Who knew you could get stuff for so cheap/free! This is a whole new world to me.

        • Selene

That’s very courageous of you! I hope you can use up those $60 RRs in time. During last Christmas’ super sale, I accumulated over $60 RRs and had to “waste them” because I couldn’t find anything that is really worth buying in the following 2 weeks.

          • jamie

other stores take the RR. I know jewelosco takes them with no problem. not sure were else. I have used one at target before. either it was ok or the cashier didnt bother to look it.

          • snhicks28

I plan to use them to stock up on things like baby wipes and toothpaste!

          • Leanne

If you cant find anything you need before the RR expire just buy something that offers more RR, right?

          • TereSaves3

RR are manufacturer coupons. You should be able to use them at any place that will take manufacturer coupons. It’s not cheating the system or anything like that. I used about $20 worth of RR’s at WalMart a few weeks ago without a problem. You should email me at teresaves3 @ gmail dot com and I can give you a few pointers.

I’m confused..I know you have to roll RR but if she is buying 60 of the same item does that mean she has to do SIXTY seperate transactions to get all the RR? I know you must roll RR between items…so say I have 20 of one thing and 20 of another, do I have to do 40 transactions?

        • snhicks28

For the Motrin there is a coupon to get $6 off of 2. So, if you do 2 boxes per transaction you can use the coupon and get the Motrin free+get a $3 RR back. So, if you are going to buy 40 boxes and you have 20 coupons you would have to do 20 transactions. If you have 20 of one thing and 20 of another thing you would have to do 20 transactions. Each transaction would have item A and item B.

          • Laura

thanks 🙂 I’m new at this.

I am excited but also stressed. I am really not too kin on Walgreens deals because the RR expiration dates are so much shorter (2 weeks vs. CVS 1 month) and my local Walgreens are not accommodating at all. They would not reduce the coupon face value (so for example, if I have a $1 for the item that is on sale for 99 cents, they wouldn’t let me use the coupon), would not allow me to do multiple transactions, and always have a bad attitude. I am almost a little “afraid” to shop there.

    • Jessica K

take the coupon policy with you!

  29. Gracie

I think out of the big 3 (CVS, RiteAid and Walgreens), that Walgreen’s causes me the most frustration and is definitely my least favorite. Not so much that I vow never to shop there again. But enough so that anti-anxiety meds would be helpful! Especially now since they positioned a fan underneath the windchimes display to make it all the more nerve-racking!

You need to purchase 2 filler to do transaction #2.
Remember one coupon (RR are manuf. coupons) per item.

  31. Brittany

For those of you who haven’t used your baby magic 1/1 coupons ( I think they expire tomorrow?) I bought two big bottles and used my two 1/1 coupons at Wal-Mart a few days ago. They had .50/1 hangtags on them, so I’ll be able to get a .50 MM in two different transactions next week at Wags 🙂 Hope this helps someone out!

  32. Stephanie

I was going to print the poligrip coupon mentioned but it states for products 4.0 oz or larger and the superpoligrip on sale is only 0.75 oz. Did it actually have the size limit on the coupon when printed?

  33. Rachael

I just looked at the sneak peek ad, and for some reason none of these items are in it. Is it a regional thing, or possibly unadvertised in the ad?

    • Melindatx3

Same here. My sneek peek shows none of these great deals. I hope they aren’t regional. I was really wanting to stock up on baby wash 🙁

      • Blake

I thought so too but if you look to the right of the sneek peek page it’s in a separate link in the right margin

        • Melinda

Oh ok, now I see it. Wonder why they did it that way? Maybe its a half sheet that will wrap around the outside of the flyer? Thanks Blake!

  34. Kim

I thought if you buy 2 of the same product (motrin) then they would cancel themself out and you would not get a RR back!??

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

if you bought them individually you would get two RR’s for $3 each, but you wouldn’t be able to use the coupon $6/2. If you buy the two you can use the coupon but you only get one $3 RR. So it’s a difference of how much out of pocket you pay and how many RRs you get back. They don’t cancel each other out you just don’t get two $3 RRs.

  35. nancy

I just wanted to mention, look for a $1 peelie on the NasoGel drip-free gel spray to make this a MM, This stuff should be useful here in the desert.:)

Sunday Feb 21, 2011, My walgreens cashier told me that they no longer accept internet coupons. He said his manager had implemented this just last week. I told him they should put up some kind of sign saying so. I had been in the store long enough that I was tired and wanted to go home, so I did not push this. I have had trouble passing coupons in general. at this store because of a new scanner they have had since last month.
