Mamapedia: FREE 1 Year Subscription to Disney Family Fun Magazine (New Members Only)
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Thursday, March 17th, 2011 at 10:06 am.
Wow! Currently, if you are new to Mamapedia, you can score a completely FREE subscription to Disney Family Fun magazine! To get in on this deal, head on over to Mamapedia and fill in your email address on the pop-up screen to become a new member. By doing so, you’ll score a FREE $5 credit. You can then use your $5 credit to purchase the Mamapedia national deal which is valid for a 1 year subscription to Disney Family Fun for $5 – so FREE after the credit (keep in mind this will only work if you are a new Mamapedia member).
(Thanks, Mojo Savings!)

anon says:
Looks like only specific citites are included in the offer. Is there another way to get the magazine? I really want to get this subscription for a friend of mine.
Collin says:
Yes, you can get the magazine no matter what city you live in. This is a national deal, so it doesn’t matter what city you live in!
Jo says:
It’s asking for my Credit card info…even though I am using the new free credit. To I still need to put in my CC?
Collin says:
Yes, it does look like you will have to enter your credit card info… but your total will be $0 so you shouldn’t get charged at all.
Divya says:
You can always delete the info going to the tab credit card in your profile once your order process
shannon says:
I just signed up and i dont see any credit.
Collin says:
Hmmm… that’s odd. I just had my sister sign up through the link above and she was able to get the $5 credit. She entered her info on the pop up screen, then became a member and instantly received the $5 credit.
Lori H says:
What pop up screen? The only one that comes up? I put my email at the top of the only page that comes up and still am not getting the credit. Help! Thanks.
Miranda says:
I didn’t see any credit either but I closed the pop up screen and signed in by creating a new account. It won’t give me a credit now. I should follow directions better. She said in her post to enter the email in the pop up.
Shelly says:
same here…no credit recieved
nicole says:
I never got a credit when I signed up a while back either.
Here are some codes I found wont be free but cheaper. If you are new to Mamapedia, and one of the first 1,000 new buyers, you can use coupon code DISNEY1YR to get a 1 Year Subscription for ONLY $3 ($10 value) or use coupon code DISNEY2YR to get a Full 2 Year Subscription for ONLY $5 ($20 value).
Dawn says:
Go in and reset your brower and empty your cache, and you’ll be able to sign in as a new member! I was evidently signed up months ago, and it logged me in and I couldn’t figure how to log out! BUT once I reset everything quickly, I could create a new account.
Heather says:
click on credit button, it takes your 5.00 off
Fallyn says:
I just signed up and instantly got my $5 credit. Look at the top of the page and it should say what your credit is. You do still have to enter your CC info, but if you have the $5 credit, your total balance will be $0 and your card should not be charged.
Thanks, Collin!
Brittany says:
Great deal – Thanks!
Amanda C says:
I didn’t get a pop up. Any suggestions?
mel says:
make sure you have your pop up blocker turned off.
Jessica says:
Awesome deal! Thanks
kim says:
Worked great, thanks. I’ve been waiting to get this mag and you just can’t bee free!!!!!!
Laura says:
I just signed up by my credit says $0. I have never been to the mamapedia site or signed up prior to this:(
Laura says:
Yeah! I finally got it. I must be S..L..O…W… today:)
richmelony says:
I did not get a credit, Oh well… Thanks for all the great deals!!
Collin says:
The only thing i can suggest is trying to go through the link above in a different browser. For example, if you are working in Firefox try IE. Or if you are working in Safari, try Firefox etc.
Adrienne says:
You have to enter your email address at the very top of the page first. Then you’ll have created an account and the $5 credit will be there. THEN you purchase the magazine and use the $5 credit.
I think you also have to make sure you use someone’s referral link to get the $5 credit, you can’t just go to the Mamapedia homepage.
richmelony says:
It worked great in Firefox. Tried twice in explorer.. Thanks for the tip!!!!
Paige says:
Thanks for that tip Collin! It worked like a charm!
krista says:
Got it!! Thanks I LOVE free magazines!!
mom2five says:
Got it…Thank you Collin! I hope this one comes…my Parenting The Early Years through Eversave never came

It took me 4 months to start getting my All You through Eversave! Just an FYI that they are slow.
mom2five says:
Thank you Rhonda
nicole says:
I still havent gotten my parenting magazine yet. Hopefully it comes soon. Thanks for the heads up Rhonda.
happy1038 says:
Yay, I just got it too. Do you get 12 issues in the 1 year? Some magazine subscriptions do less than 12 so just curious..Thanks Collin. My second mag subscription ever now
Adrienne says:
1 year is 10 issues.
Applemansee says:
Cool, Work For Me!
Sarah says:
Worked for me! Those of you that aren’t getting the credit…..make sure you are checking the box to use your credit when you check out. Even if it says zero, the zero means that you haven’t applied anything yet. Hope that helps!
Heather says:
Sweet deal, nothing better than free!
Thanks Collin!
Megan says:
Thanks so much for posting this! I’m really hoping this comes!
Dana Markoski says:
So when I went to do it on IE I didn’t get the pop up and I tried to register but didn’t get credited the $5, so I went to the site on FF and since my email was just registered I used my husbands and got the $5 credit and got the deal…THANKS
dlucas says:
Just got it-thanks so much!
Penny says:
How do you do this as a renewal?? I already get this and my current subscription expires August 2011
celticmommie says:
I think you can call customer svc and ask for them to add the new issues to your existing subscription.
Momof2 says:
I am having the worst time trying to get this. It keeps telling me its having a problem processing my card. I’m using a prepaid one that has a few cents on it, but I thought that would be ok? I guess not?
Anonymous says:
Same here… but with a “real” card… finally went through after a few tries.
Christine says:
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Jen says:
Hi there, I want to post this deal on my own facebook page. For the life of me, I can’t get my referral link to work to get the $5 credit. What am I doing wrong? I don’t know how to get the link to the page where the new costumer enters their e-mail and gets the $5 credit. I know how to normally just share it on facebook and if someone orders you get referral credit. But I’m after my cousins getting the $5 credit so the magazine is free. Can someone help me please?
Thanks!
Wendy says:
thank you! You have to click the box to apply credit.
jenny says:
Thanks so much for this deal Collin! It worked great and I’ve been wanting to get this mag for some time now.
MSgirl says:
WOW! Thanks. Just sent this to my friend’s son as a gift!!
Kat says:
Got it and it was really easy. The only problem I had was I guess I already signed up for mamapedia before so I just used a different email. Like others said make sure you click the $5 credit to make it apply to your purchase. Should come out to 0. Thanks Hip!
SarahL says:
Thanks Collin! Got the Magazine!
Shanon says:
Got mine! Thanks Collin! I love getting free magazines! I just received my first free issue of parenting yesterday, and I usually get about a magazine a week. I never pay for them anymore, and I don’t really even care which ones I get since there is always someone in my family who will be interested in them! Thanks for saving me a ton of money by providing all these magazine subscriptions!
mommax3 says:
Mine went through without any problems. I received my confirmation e-mail as well and I deleted my credit card info just in case it automatically renews after a year. Thanks Collin!! =)
kristen says:
Does this magazine ever have coupons in it? I don’t have time to really read a magazine…but I usually scan through for coupons.
Katie says:
A friend of mine gets this magazine, and i’ve seen a few coupons in there from time to time. I know for sure she let me have a 20% Gymboree coupon from it before.
Ashley says:
Was wondering if anyone ever got this mag before and does it have any good coupons in it? The credit doesn’t expire right away so I am not sure if I want to see another offer. I get so many mags that I just trash and never have time to read and don’t want to waste my credit on that. Thanks
Julia says:
Got it! Thanks!
Anonymous says:
You should be able to call fmaily fun once you activate you subscription and make sure it’s added to the end rather thna getting two.
kelly tillotson says:
if anyone knows or figures out how to have this deal extended to a current subscription, please let me know—i ordered the family fun tanga deal for $2 a while ago….and instead of having a tandem subscription, im hoping to just add on. does that make sense?
thanks in advance

Forgot to apply the $5 credit >.< and there is no button to cancel the order. oh well.
Adrienne says:
You should be able to call/email and cancel. Mamapedia has great CS!
Tiffany says:
I briefly glanced over the FAQ. From what I read, it does charge your card $5. It says after the deal “tips” then there is some kind of voucher. I didn’t understand this and didn’t have time to read it fully so I didn’t put in my CC info. Not that $5 is all that much, but I just recently saw a $2.99 deal for Family Fun. I’ll have to research this later…
CO Mama says:
If you closed the pop-up screen on accident like me: ) Just create a new email address to get deal
Latisha says:
i didn’t get a $5 credit for signing up
CO Mama says:
Speaking of Gymboree coupons/codes, I have at least one (+Crazy8), if not more, I do not need. First to email can have it: junk.hepburn@gmail.com. Also, anyone know what mags have amazon coupons this month? My Baby Talk had one but I am needing at least one more (%off or $10 off). Baby #2 is due any day and I am needing to stock up on a few more goodies : ) Thanks!
Jay says:
Hello Co Mama, I’ve sent you an e-mail requesting the code. Thanks!
kit says:
thanks! got it!
Ally says:
Shoot. Just signed up and it says $0 credit
jen says:
It says the credit in my account is $0, so not only am I not getting my credit, but I wonder if you will be.
Mandi says:
Great deal!! Can’t wait to get this magazine again.
417bmcatee says:
Awesome. I was able to get my credit and purchased mag, earlier today.
samantha g. says:
What a bargain for a 1 yr subscription of Disney Family Fun mag…got it! Thanks so much, Collin! Wooohooo!
Shauni says:
I just tried to go to the site and it said something along the lines of “Oops sorry, you caught us in the middle of fixing something, but we’ll be back soon with more advice and deal”. I’ve never used the site before so I’m wondering if any regular users know if this is what happens if the site is too busy, or if they shut down sometimes to provide maintenance to the site? I’m just hoping I don’t miss the magazine.
oliviasfrugallife says:
Wow, my first online magazine freebie. Thanks Colin and other bloggers. I read all your wonderful helpful hints first before opening new account. I’m glad I did because I would of missed out on the free subscription. One thing to add, hope this helps, when checking out, be sure to recheck apply my credit. I almost forgot to.
Andrea says:
No credit for signing up – and I was so looking forward to this freebie!
