  • Bee says:

Went to CVS this am and was pleased to get the Physician’s Formula at a good price.

However, the M&M’s “Buy 2 get the 3rd free” were only for the king size and not the smaller size which was on the printed coupon.

I went pretty early and I got the next-to-last Allegra. Since the deal is limited to one per person I really think my CVS is barely stocking. They were already out of the Crest with ECB.

The coupon machine printed out “$1 off large Dove Bar” which the store did not carry. I asked the attending clerk and he looked a minute, said “We’re out, sorry” and stalked off.

All in all, still productive, but I don’t think they really mean for more than 6 people to get the ECB deals.

    • Anonymous says:

Did you scan the smaller ones? Mine wassigned the same way, so I scanned the smaller M&Ms and sure enough they were on sale too!

  • mel says:

Since tomorrow is the last day for the Loreal Youth Code rebate, I decided to buy another starter set and send the rebate to my sister’s addy. I had a ton of ECBs expiring this week and next, and figured I would at least get some back in cash!

    30.00 – Youth Code
    8.79 – Schick Intuition Refill
    2.99 – Colgate Toothbrush
    = 41.78
    - $5/25 email coupon
    - $5 Youth Code CVS coupon (received in the mail)
    - $3 Youth Code manuf. coupon
    - $2 Schick Intuition manuf coupon
    - 0.75 Colgate Toothbrush coupon (was in some magazine I got in the mail, its in all Spanish)
    - $25.58 in ECBs
    =.45 + 3.22 in tax.

Got $11 in ECBs, and sending for $10 Loreal Rebate.

    • nancycrom says:

Just wanted to let you know CVS takes ecb’s past their expiration, just double check with your store manager. Also, mine takes CVS q’s for 1 month past expir.

    • Karena says:

I seem to have misplaced my receipt for my Youth Code purchase and will not be able to get the $10 rebate.. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

      • Anonymous says:

I have the one I printed, but never ended up buying (couldn’t find my VV coupon). I could mail it to you if you’d like.

        • Karena says:

Thanks for your help. I have the rebate form but misplaced my receipt showing my proof of purchase. I will contact Walgreens customer service and see if there is anything they can do. Thanks again.

  • Crystal says:

I was so excited with my CVS trip today I just had to post it. I ended up making a little money just for shopping! I love it when that happens!
    Here’s the rundown:

    1.) Allegra $6.99 minus $2 printable = got $6.99 extra bucks
2.) Dawn Dish liquid 2/$.97 minus 2/$.25 coupons
    3.) 1 Schick Intuition Women’s Razor $8.79 minus $2 coupon = $4 extra bucks
4.) 1 Nice and East Foam hair color $7.99 minus Free coupon from Facebook offer a few weeks back = $1 extra buck.
5.) 1 Cottonelle wipes 3/ for $4 or 1 for $1.34 minus free coupon that came in the mail a few weeks ago
6.) 1 Glade room spray $3.49 minus $1 man. coupon minus $1 off from magic coupon machine last week
7.) Also used $5 off of $25 purchase from CVS email

Grand total = $11.69 and got back $11.99! I know not much but everytime I make a few cents I am a happy couponer! Thanks for everything Collin and for the guidance this site has given me! Love hip2save!!

  • Jennifer says:

Hoping someone can answer this…I just tried to buy the Neutrogena to get the Extra Bucks at my CVS. The ECB didn’t print, I think it was because the Men’s might not have been included in the sale. The cashier told me it was because I had used coupons and hadn’t actually spend the required $25. Does this seem right? I think I have used coupons before that has taken me below the amount and never had a problem. Thanks!

    • Anonymous says:

No she was wrong coupon usage doesn’t matter. total amount is before coupons not after.

    • Connie says:

Check your receipt. If it wasn’t included, it will tell you that you still have x amount of dollars to go before the ECBs print. The cashier was in error, the usual case is at CVS that the total amount is what you spend before coupons (unless they specify otherwise in their ad).

I had a problem over the weekend myself with the ECBs not printing for the trial size Crests that they had marked (2.7 oz, $2 ECB ea), but with a little patience was able to show them that they were in error, not me, and everything worked out.

What I would do is go to your manager, explain that you purchased these items, and that you believe you should have gotten your ECB. More often than not, they’ll give them to you (just try not to go during an extremely busy store time).

      • Jennifer says:

Thanks! I had the same problem with the travel Crest toothpaste. They fixed that with no problem.

I think the Men’s Neutrogena must not have been included. The ad didn’t say one way or the other and there was no signage on the Men’s products.

        Thanks again!

    • melissa says:

if you still have a problem (as my store would not fix the issue with the revlon makeup) I called the CVS number and they corrected it. next time I went in, it printed my ECB

  • Jennifer says:

does anyone know if you bring your reciept back if CVS will give you cash for a coupon that you might have forgotten when you were there?? my grocery store willdo that.

  • Jennifer M. says:

Planters Flavor Grove Almonds ($2) is part of the Buy $15 get $5 ECB back deal (with the Wheat Thins & Ritz). I got a free coupon from the Super Bowl Day Facebook giveaway and I hadn’t used it yet, so I was able to get that $2 product free!!

  • Steph says:

bausch and lomb coupon is no longer available

  • Erika says:

Dawn will be FREE if u signed for the free book that was mailed out with P&G coupons inside – there was a $1/1 Dawn coupon in there = Free + overage :)

I forgot the name of the book…was it Home Soultions?!?

  • Roxanne says:

Oh if I knew they had a Physicians Formula coupon in the Sunday Paper… I don’t think I can still find the paper tomorrow. I know they offered .pdf coupons at the beginning of March. I was wondering if anyone still has the pdf coupon and would like to send it to me. I would be so grateful. Thank you!

Oh and I forgot. Went to CVS and they had several types of Clairol hair color on sale 75% off. I got a box for $1.74. They also had a Nexxus hair brush left for 75% off. It was $3.99 but the $3 off coupon (that came with the sample some time ago) wouldn’t work with it.

  • Candy says:

I do not get the coupons in my Sunday paper that the
CVS ad says are in there. Any ideas on how to get them?

    • J says:

I was always having that problem as well until I figured out not all newspapers have all the inserts. I now get the Chicago Tribune just for all the coupons inserts that are NOT in for example the NWI Times.

    • Summer says:

you could always buy the ones you want on e-bay.

  • Dawnbi says:

What area code are you using to get the $2 Pediacare coupon? I have tried a couple and am only getting a $1 coupon. Thanks!

  • Laura says:

I have a general question about CVS. If there is an ECB deal, like the crest toothpaste, that has a limit of 2 per card, can I purchase two in the same transaction and get $5 ECB, or do I need to do two separate transactions?

    • You can do them in the same transaction! The only time I ever had a problem with this was when I was first starting out and CVS had their store brand liners on ECB deal (I think it was a monthly deal with NO limit, but when I tried buying more than one in a single transaction, only ONE ECB printed. When I bought them in seperate transactions, they printed fine.)

However, if you buy 2 in a single transaction, you will get ONE ECB for the TOTAL of the amount you should get back. So for the Crest, you would get back (1) $5 ECB, as opposed to (2) $2.50 ECB’s. So if you prefer to get the smaller ECB amounts, you would break them up, but you certainly don’t have to. Hope this helps!

  • Alicia says:

There are clearance pantene for 3 something as far as the pantene deal, not sure if it would generate the ecb. Too scared to try :-)

  • Lisa says:

The coupon in the April All You Magazine states save $2 when you buy Glad trash bags AND any Clorox, Formula 409, or Tilex cleaning product. Would not work on this scenario unless you purchased the trash bags also.

  • Cathy says:

Colgate Maxfresh, Maxwhite, or Maxclean 6 oz $2.99 – Get back a $2 Ecb

This deal also included the Colgate 360 Surround toothbrush. There’s a $1 coupon in the April All You to make this free + small overage.

  • Jennifer says:

I have a 20% amazon diaper code I would be willing to trade for a $10. Any takers?

  • Oops… for the Pantene or Head & Shoulders $1/1 coupon, I think you mean 2/27 PG, not 2/27 SS. :)

  • Vie says:

Is there anyone please tell me if the ECB can cover tax or just the price before tax and I’ll have to pay tax separately? and if I have a $20 ECB but I just spend $10, the rest $10 can be used for next time or will be deleted?

    • Tricia says:

ECB are not applicable to sales tax, and you will lose the other 10 ECB’s if you only spend 10, they do not reissue the leftover like Kohl’s cash :)

    • Amber says:

Depends on what state you are in. Here in Massachusetts, coupons, ECBs, Up Rewards all bring the tax down accordingly. So, if you pay with all ECBs=no tax.

      • Amber says:

I also just looked online and found that Connecticut treats coupons the same way. Their statement is, “All coupons and scan cards reduce taxable price”. I found this info through the Conn Dept of Revenue website. Another way to find out might be to check some other receipts. Hope this helps you.

  • laura says:

I’m surprised no one has mentioned the $5/15 CVS coupon 3 Days only! that printed on the bottom of receipts this past weekend. I’m still working on my best scenario for using this one. Expires today!

  • jane22 says:

I would really appreciate receiving the Physicians Formula pdf $5 coupon. Thank you Emily or anyone else who may be so kind and send it to me at jmk4hrm@yahoo.com. Thank you so much!

  • Amber says:

I just got a 25% off coupon in my email. I know these are not good on sale items. So,I was thinking of buying $20 of Nexxus products, which are not on sale, but would generate a $10 extra buck. My question is do I need to buy $20 worth BEFORE the 25% is taken off or AFTER the 25% is taken off (in which case I would have to buy almost $27.50 worth, but pay a little over $20)?

  • Kelly says:

  • :)Jennifer(: says:

Did you find out the answer to this? I’d like to know too.

  • Anonymous says:

I have a question maybe someone can help me out with. I have $6 CVS coupon on Physician’s Formula makeup which is also 40% off this week. I also have a $1 manuf. coupon. Depending what I buy, I could have overage, but I’m not sure what happens when a CVS coupon is more than the price of item. Would it take $6 off total or do I have to buy at least $6 worth of Physician’s Formula to use it? Any experience with this? Thanks.

  • jessica says:

Have a question for a veteran CVS’er . . . I have a CVS coupon for $6 off Physician’s Formula which is also on sale for %40 off this week. I also have $1 manuf. coupon. So depending on what I buy, I would have some overage with the CVS coupon. Thanks!
