Hip2Save may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you via trusted partners and affiliate links in this post. Prices and availability are accurate as of time posted. Read our full disclosure policy here.

Through April 9th, you can score FREE paper again at Staples…

*HP 8.5″ x 11″, Multipurpose Bright Paper, 500 sheets/ream $5.99
Use the $1/1 coupon found here (click on the “Office Supplies” category)
Pay $4.99
Submit for the $4.99 Easy Rebate (limit 2 rebates per household)
Final Cost = FREE Paper!
(Thanks, Saving the Family Money!)

Keep in mind – Staples Easy Rebates are just that, easy! Go on over here to read more about them. Basically you’ll be able to submit all your info online. You won’t even have to mail anything in– the best part in my opinion! You’ll receive your rebate/rebates within 4-6 weeks after submitting them.

Here are a few other Staples deal highlights (valid 4/3-4/9):

*Buy ANY Desk for $149.99 or more = FREE Office Chair ($89.99 value!)
So basically you can score a desk AND chair for as low as $149.99!

*Buy any clearance camera or camcorder and use the coupons in the ad to save even more
Save $30 on any clearance camera or camcorder, regularly priced $200 or more
Save $20 on any clearance camera or camcorder, regularly priced $100 or more
Save $10 on any clearance camera or camcorder, regularly priced $100 or less

And what I love about these camera/camcorder coupons is that they state “regularly priced”, so if the regular price was let’s say $280 for a camera and the clearance price is $150, you would still be able to use the $30 off coupon since the camera was regularly price over $200!

Where can I find the 20.00 off coupon for the camera/camcorder??

I won’t shop at Staples anymore. I never received any of the rebates I qualified for and they treated me very badly when I contacted them about it. I never did receive anything back from them and gave up. As a result, I won’t set foot in their store (not that I have one locally anyway) and I certainly won’t order online.

Sorry to hear that. I have never had anything but wonderful experiences with Staples and have done many, many rebates with no problems.

      • meganph

yeah me either. i actually had a rebate stolen from my mail box. when i emailed them to get a tracking # off the check they apologized that someone stole it and sent me a new one right away. it was wonderful customer service.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Me too! Loooooove em! for this. Now sometimes dealing with OD coupons, diff. story! lol

    • Chris

I had a problem with a rebate when I ordered online, it took many phone calls and then finally a very threatening letter before I got my $60 for buying 3 webcams. In store I never have a problem though, and the one I got on shipping labels even let me get it via paypal, which I like because I never make it to the bank when they’re open and the atm wont take postcard checks.

    • Robin

Laura, sorry to hear about your sitation with Staples. I’ve never had an issue with my rebates. In fact, yesterday I received $48+’s in rewards rebates. You have up to 60 days to submit your rebates and can check your tracking and rebate status online at http://www.stapleseasyrebates.com If I were you, I’d take a look at this site and see what happened. Did you possibly not purchase the ‘exact’ item? or were over the 60 day deadline in submitting?

  3. Emily

Does anyone know if I can pay for this with Staples Rewards and still receive the Easy Rebate?

    • Mr Free

Yes- I do it all the time.

      • Jim Carlson

Be careful… I had the opposite experience. I purchased the batteries with some rewards and they did not give me the whole amount back for the deal. It might have been a Staples reward rather than a rebate.. but just a word of caution.

        • Anonymous

The reason you had the opposite experience is because you used your rewards on another reward item. You have to make sure you pay attention to whether it is an easy rebate or rewards item, two very different programs.

Love to use rewards on easy rebates! 🙂

    • Elaine

It has been my experience that you can use coupons or rewards to purchase easy rebate items, but if you use them for reward items, you lose whatever amount was applied. It’s kind of confusing. I think you can choose to get the rebates as checks, too, but the rewards can only be used in Staples. Rebates and rewards are too different things at Staples.

    • autum

It may be up to your store. For rebate deals you can use your staples rewards, and you’ll receive the full rebate amount, but for the staples rewards deal you’ll only receive what you actually paid after coupons and other discounts, or your out of pocket. And if you’re using manufacture coupon towards the rebate deal you might not be able to use your staples reward to pay, so one or the other.

Hi. I was curious. I did the free batteries Rewards deal last week…but their website still doesn’t show it in my rewards account. Does anyone know if it can take weeks for the purchases to show up in their account? I’m assuming that’s the case…but wondered if someone who’s done Staples rewards before noticed delays in their account too. thanks

    • Anonymous

“Special promotion” rewards like the batteries always take longer to post than normal rewards (ink, toner and paper).

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hay Sarasota! Miss that place! Anyways. These will take a loooooong time to get btw! (the batteries deal that is). So dont expect it in a few weeks. Just a heads up.

  5. nicole

If we bought the paper from the last sale and did the rebate, can we buy the paper again and get the rebate back for this sale too?

    • Lynnette

I was wondering the same thing….

      • ashleigh

According to Saving the Family Money, this rebate has a different offer number so we should be able to do this one as well. Keeping my fingers crossed.

    • Jenn

Thank you, Nicole, for asking this as I was wondering the exact same thing. I may double-check with the store manager of my Staples just to make sure, but sounds like it’ll work. I’ll keep my fingers AND toes crossed for this one, lol. Thanks for posting these amazing deals, Collin!!!!!

  6. Lindsay C.

Are the Staples rewards just for Staples (as in, I can only spend it at Staples), or is it like a check type rebate? Just curious!

    • marcia

My experience is that the easy REBATE is cash back and the REWARDS are store credit redeemable only at Staples.

  7. Erin

I was wondering the same things as well. I would love to get more paper if possible!

  8. Karen

    Thanks for the post 🙂

  9. Mitch

I hope I saved those paper coupons.
The last sale must have not been for the whole week, by Thursday I missed it.
As much paper as I still have, I can’t resist more for free!
    thanks

  10. Jen

I just did the paper deal. Thanks for post it…I was juuuuuust about out of paper and almost bought a ream at Costco today. Good price at Costco, but free at Staples IS better. 😀

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

anyone knows what’s wrong with coupons.com nothing won’t show up? 🙁

    • Courtney

I’m having that problem too..I can get everything but the coupons page to load. I’m gong to try again later and see what happens.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

it happen yesterday nothing is showing up. Can someone put the link for the HP paper

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I wish someone can give us the link so then we can print it out right away

  12. Craig

Yeah more free paper!!! Great for this sites needs! Woohoo. I went into Staples last week or so when Collin first posted this q. and this upcoming deal. I was like..this is weird. Its not on sale or has this rebate. Daaagh! wrong week! LMAO! Now I just gotta find them. lol

I’m confused….how do ou get the chair for free?

    • Collin

You need to buy a desk that is at least $149.99 in value and then you will get the $89.99 chair for FREE! 🙂

  14. Ashley

I happened to find the free chair offer when I went to Staples to look at desks. My local store also had a deal where you could choose either the free chair or a matching file cabinet/hutch (whichever comes with that particular set). I think the amount you had to spend was pretty much the same, and even though the store manager told us that the desk we wanted didn’t come with the file cabinet, when he rung it up it was free anyway! The file cabinet was almost as much as the desk, so we ended up with about a 48% discount off what we were planning on spending anyway.

  15. Nicole

I’m wondering if I did this deal a few weeks ago when they offered it and send in my rebate, can I do this deal again? The dates are different so I should be able too right?? Anyone know?

    • Jenn

Nicole, I just got back from getting 2 more reams of paper and I spoke with the store manager at my Staples (in Washington state) and she told me that the 2 per customer seemed limited only to transaction/day. She mentioned she has several customers who will come in several times a week and buy 2 reams of paper (or other rebate deal that has a limite) and the rebate paperwork ALWAYS prints out at the register. They have never had anyone come back and complain that they did not receive the proper amount of rebates, so she believed that as long as the rebate paperwork prints out, you should be eligible to do the deal.

Bear in mind, this has nothing to do with rewards, since they seem to have completely different rules. I wish Staples would put up a clear explanation of their rebate-rewards program on their website; sure would make things easier. 🙂

      • Donna

Thank you! I am happy to hear this. I think I will be buying some more paper today!!

  16. Varibean

I used the $1 HP coupon the last time they had the paper easy rebate and they told me the dollar would come off my rebate…..so I am only getting back $3.99 instead of $4.99. They said that is the policy with manufacturer coupons. Has anyone else experienced this?

    • Kirsten

That’s not true. In fact the rebate goes through the corporate site so if you use a coupon it shouldn’t matter. I looked on this particular case…. I used the coupon and went and check my easy rebate status for the HP paper and I am getting the $4.99 back.

  17. Kirsten

I love, love Staples. I have only good things to say about them and have been shopping there for years. Their new system even emails you (when you use your rewards card) to remind you to submit your rebate and includes the link to and all the numbers you need to submit. I would even have to keep my receipt if I didn’t want to (although I do keep it). Staples has great deals and I only get paper and ink from Staples.

  18. Tammi Ritter

I love free paper! Thank you Collin!

  19. leopardgirl8282

yay so excited I missed the last one but got in on this rebate and it was so easy! Thank you!

  20. Renata

i just came home from Staples and input the rebate for the paper! Soooo easy 🙂 Thanks Collin!

  21. SAHMinCambridge

Yeah, more free paper, who can resist! If you print th coupon through swagbucks you’ll get 10sb back!

  22. Jennifer

Received my free paper today and got paid $1 – Not bad at all! Thanks!
