Just in Walgreen’s today, using my Trident coupon. The clerk informed me that some managers require the clerks to scan the Walgreen’s booklet coupon first and only honor that coupon, since you are already getting money off. She stated they wouldn’t be required to honor the mfr. coupon with the Walgreen’s booklet coupon?! She took mine, but was “doing me a favor”! Anyone else hear of this? (I am in Oregon.)

    • Angelgirl102484

Ohhh how it irk’s me when a cashier tell’s me they are doing me a favor when they take coupons they way they should be taken! I got told last week that the walgreens I go to will not take a manufacture qpon and one out of the monthly book because they are both manufacture qpons?!?! Grrr!

      • Erin

I had the same issue with my cashier and her manager telling me that they couldn’t take the Wags Pampers coupon from the Infant Care Book along with my other manufacturer coupons. She turned the Wags coupon over and said, “See? It says on the back Manufacturer coupon good only at Walgreens”, insisting that I was trying to give her all manufacturer coupons. I showed her their policy and politely tried to explain, but she wouldn’t budge. Grrrr! Still makes me mad. I’ll be going to a different Walgreens this week.

        • Nycra

The same thing happened to me, however, the pampers coupon in the infant book does say “manufacturer coupon good only at walgreens”. I have been meaning to post this for awhile since Collin regularly uses this coupon in the diaper deals at Walgreens paired with another pampers coupon. I think because it clearly states this on the front of the coupon, they are right when refusing to take this manufacturer coupon with another manufacturer coupon. And actually looking at the Infant Care booklet right now, they ALL say “Limit one coupon per customer per offer. Expires 12/31/2011. Manufacturer coupon good only at Walgreens. Not valid with any other offer. etc…” I was annoyed when they told me this until I read the coupon and then apologetically agreed. Hope this helps.

          • Erin

They do all say that. In fact, it says that on the back of all the coupons in any of the coupon books issued by Walgreens (Infant Care, Spring Beauty, and the monthly coupon books). Somehow, I don’t think that these are manufacturer coupons because they don’t have anything on them about how the retailer is supposed to be reimbursed like the coupons from the newspaper inserts.
Collin, could you perhaps clarify this for us so we can explain this to our cashiers and make sure we’re using them correctly? Thanks!

    • Aimes

I would suggest taking the walgreens coupon policy with you. It is kind of like body armor, seeing as it is from corporate. As a matter of fact, one cashier at my walmart was not honoring the coupons i gave her at face value (I would have had to pay $7 extra, $ i did not have) and I told her to stop it. I showed her the coupon policy and told her I had allllll day. She called up the CSM, and neither one of them were rude about it.

    • Carol F

My manager told me that WAGS is now considering the coupon booklets to be manufacturer’s coupons and have programed the registers accordingly but he still takes both the booklets and the regular coupons

      • katie

I do not shop @ WAGs anymore. They are awful !!!! Love my CVS!!! I’m in CA.

        • jiya

          same here.

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ive never couponed at walgreens but know you cannot roll register rewards on to the same deal. however, im wondering if it is okay to get the always pads deal, then roll those RR to the colgate deal, would I then be able to roll the RR from the colgate deal and snag the always pads deal again? im not sure how walgreens works so im confused as to whether or not i’d be able to do this.

    • Maureen

Hi Cristal! Yes, you can definitely roll RRs in the mannner you described. It’s a great way to keep down the OOP costs. Happy shopping!

    • Nicole

They consider RR to be a man. coup. so in order to do that you have to have a small filler item…. if you are using a man. coup. on both colgate items then they wont take your RR.

    • Jillian

Hey guys! I don’t shop at Walgreens either so i’m wondering how many times you can do the same deal. like the huggies deal for instance. how many times will the RR print?

    • Jillian

Hey guys! I don’t shop at Walgreens either so i’m wondering how many times you can do the same deal. like the huggies deal for instance. how many times will the RR print?

    • Mandi

Normally you cannot roll RR to buy the same item but you can on the Always pads. I did it at 2 different stores and it worked both times. 🙂 I had to have a small filler item but I used my 2 $1 off Always and then my $4 RR that I had just received on the pads and it worked great! I received the second $4 off.

      • janelle

I tired it yesterday and it didnt work for me. Im in OHIO

  3. Amy

If the Lysol Neutra Air FreshMatic, Air Wick i-motion or Freshmatic are 50% off, shouldn’t it be free after coupon?

    • Jenny

Yes it would be free! LOL! I caught that to!

      • JENNIFER

I THINK the price Collin put is the 50 percent off price….they are the bigger ones which I believe are normally around 15 dollars!! If anyone figues it out please let me know!! I really need some of these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • Jenny

I checked it is sale priced at $7 and something, so no it wouldn’t be free. The I motions ones are $3.99 so the $2/1 coupon would be great for those!

    • Britt

No, i don’t think they wouldn’t be free. That is the sale price I think… they are normally around $15 I thought… maybe I’m wrong.

      • JENNIFER

Ha ha great minds think alike!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yes for some it is free. My stores are a bit higher priced so it comes out to about $.99 ac. I checked today. 🙁

    • Aurielle

Airwick freshmatic compacts at my wags are on sale for 3.99 after the 50% sale. With the $4 coupon makes them free. Love the freebies. The larger airwick kits were 7.49 after teh 50%. The compacts will sell out fast.

      • Cheryl

Wow Aurielle, Glade to hear about your freebies have”nt checked my Wags yet for a price but our local Dollar General store has them on sale for $4.50 only .50 after coupon But free is still better , go hot shopper……………….

  4. LInda P

Has anyone had a problem using the $2/1 Coke Zero Walgreens store coupon. I tried using it today on the diet coke deal for the week and the system wouldn’t accept it.

    • Candie

I used the coke zero q for the coke deal last week but it only deducts $2.00 not $6.00 off three. But i still was able to use the q for the free mini coke and got another $2.00 off for that even though it was free with 3.

  5. Jennifer

I found another $1.00 off any 2 chocolate Peeps coupons at http://www.marshmallowpeeps.com. The print limit was one for me, just as it was on the facebook offer. I hope this works for others, too.

    • Ann

Thanks Jennifer. I hate these things, but my kids will love them for Easter.

      • Jennifer

        You’re welcome!

        • Amanda

Thanks! Now I have two coupons!!

    • Jenlk

Thanks so much! I needed to get 4 of these. Now I can get them all for free!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you. My babysitter took my baby to the mall this weekend and they took some pictures with the bunny. She was able to grab some of this coupons for me. I am not sure if they can be found in all the malls of the US but if you happen to be at a mall keep your eyes peeled for these coupones near the Easter Bunny area.

    • Clara

Is there a way to just print the tape coupon and not the whole page?

      • Anne

I set my printer to print 2 pages on 1 page to save ink. I’ve already used some coupons and haven’t had problems getting them to scan.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If you use PC, you can scroll down to the page 2, make sure you see the coupon you want to print then click on print. Before you click OK, look on you left. You will get a section Print Range. You will see some options All, Current view, Current page, Pages. Click on Current view and it will print the part of the page you can see at the moment. Only the coupon you see on the screen will be printed. I hope it is not too confusing 😉

  6. osolomon

When something is advertised at Walgreens, such as 2/3.00, you have to buy 2 to get the sale price. If you do not buy 2, you have to pay the regular price for the product. I have asked the store manager about that policy and he stated that has always been their policy.
So if our coupons are used the cost is taken off of the costs of two items sometimes changing the scenerio.

  7. Jennifer

Can you use 3 of the $1/1 Scotch magic tape coupons on the deal that was posted as long as you have other items in your basket to cover the overage?

    • Rebecca

good question! I’d like to know this answer, too.

    • Sarah

@Jennifer – The Walgreens BOGO policy says,”When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.” Because the price is $1.99, I think we can only use one coupon (but you might want to try 2 to see if you can get all three for free!).

      • Jennifer

        Thanks, Sarah.

    • Rebecca

I did it this morning. Used 3 and got the $1 overage towards my other items!

  8. Rachael

Would I have to purchase 5 cases of Coke to get the $3 per case price? The reason I ask is because my $2 off coupon is the manufacturer’s one so I can only use it on one case. If I can get one case for the $3 price then I would definitely go use this coupon, but if I have to buy 5 then I’m not sure it’s a good deal for me.

    • momwhocares

Walmart sells 24 packs of coke and pepsi products for $4.59 🙂 So, even better. Price may vary by location

    • momwhocares

Walmart sells 24 packs of coke and pepsi products for $4.95 or something like that, it’s under $5.00 🙂 So, even better. Price may vary by location

  9. Jeni

The Nasogel Drip Free gel spray peelies I located were $1.50 off one. Makes this a nice money maker:)

    • Angela W.

I found a NeilMed Peelie for $3 on an adjacent Netipot that is applicable to any Neilmed product including these Nasogel Drip Free sprays! EVEN BETTER $$$ maker! Keep your eyes peeled for peelies!

  10. Jenlk

There is also a coupon in the Walgreen’s coupon booklet for $1 off 2 Starburst jelly beans to go with the MQ. Makes each bag just $1.

  11. Jly

I have a question about the Scholl’s deal. If I use coupons that drop it below $20 will the RR still print? It says to spend $20 in Scholl’s to get the $8 RR, but using coupons brings it to less than $20. Thanks

    • Alyssa

I need positive confirmation on this deal too… I tried to buy 1 Fast Flats 12.99 and 1 16 hour insoles 9.99. Used 2-$2 off coupons plus the April Q book and got no RR. The manager was all peeved cuz I had her void the transaction. She said the total has to be above $20 before ALL coupons come off…dunno if this is accurate…maybe the Fast Flats weren’t included??

      Has this worked for anyone?

      • Momof2

I had the same thing happen to me today. But the manager pushed it anyway because the ad stated insoles but no RR printed for me when I purchased the insoles. The gel ones printed out the RR though.

      • Momof2

I forgot to mention too the manager tried it without the coupons for the insoles and it still did not print any RR. HTH someone?

        • Jly

i just did the deal and got 2 items totally about 25, then had 7 in coupons.. the RR didnt print, but then the manager ran it through without coupons and it printed for me. i think it must be one of those that you have to buy over 20 if you use coupons

      • Donna

I did the dr. scholl’s deal today and bought just what collin described and the RR did not print….so I had to go back in to the store and the manager forced it to print by scanning another dr. scholl’s product. She wasn’t sure why it didn’t print (I used coupons but she said that should not matter because she tried to scan them again without coupons and it still would not print). Anyway, she said the ad says “any dr. scholl’s purchase $20 or more so that’s why she forced it to print for me. I’m so glad I checked when I got to the car as that was an $8 RR!!

  12. Britt

is anyone else having problems printing the tape coupon? It’s freezing my computer up. GRR!

    • Britt

      nevermind it finally printed! YAY!

  13. Beth

I’m not sure where these boxes are available, but I bought boxes of Pampers wipes at TRU that had a $20 coupon book in it, including $1 on Dawn, free soap again!

  14. susan

ohh we need to get the ss coupons in our local paper. They used to be in our saturday paper but they stopped putting any coupons in it. I called the local paper on monday and they said ss pulled them and didn’t give a reason, so we don’t have access to any coupons in the paper. I am missing alot of deals this month because i can’t get ss coupons anymore.

  15. Jenlk

If there is a Buy One Get One 50% sale going on and I have a BOGO Free coupon, how does that work? Unsure if it is a good deal to use them together or not.

    • Ariel

It is up to each store to set the policy on the BOGO coupon paired with the 50% off. some stores take the full price item as the free one and some stores make you pay for the full priced item and take off the 50% item as free one. I actually taked to a store manager today because i had written a complaint about getting the half priced on as my freebie last week with the old spice shower gel.

    • Ariel

i had to pay 4.99 for two the first time i went, so i just went to another walgreens and i paid 1.50 for both shower gels.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Where are you finding the $2/1 coke zero coupons at? I am not finding them?

    • Veronica

It was in the Smart Source Section of the newspaper on Sunday with some other Walgree coupons.

  17. Diana

I am new to coupons still and I wanted to know if you have a rr for 3.00 but the item is only 2.99 will this beep or do you have to add something on to this trans?

    • Anne

It probably will beep, but you’ll need a “filler” anyway if you are using a MQ in your transaction.

  18. Walgreens

I work at Walgreens, I strongly encourage anyone having problems with cashiers & coupons to use the reciept surveys to voice your complaints! Make sure to put the cashiers name in the comment section, you can do this online. My boss prints these off every month, and we have to answer to them, (corp sends them out). I recently have had several GREAT compliments 🙂 It means SO much to me, to know how my customers appreciate me! So good or bad use them please! It is hard to read the problems you are all having 🙁

    • Anne

I agree. I had a problem the night of the friends & family discount with the shift manager and left with nothing. I came right home and emailed corporate. The nexy day, I got a call from the store manager apologizing for the comments/behavior of the man I dealt with the night before. He invited me to come back and do my transactions, gave me an extra $5 RR, and the employee discount (even though it was the next day). WAGS is coming around!

  19. marie

I went to get the ajax this morning and the coupon is beeping and the scotch magic tape coupon doesnt scan.:(

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Same here … the Scotch coupon wouldn’t scan so they wouldn’t accept it. 🙁

  20. Lisa

replum.com had the $3 off nivea coupons….i had one “clipped” scrolled thru the other pages and by the time I hit print, it was already gone. 🙁

  21. Jenny

AJAX: The $1/2 coupon is not working to get free Ajax. All 3 of my stores refused them!

  22. Laura

Can someone explain this to me? I’ve gotten confused. On the Scotch Tape deal: does the Walgreens coupon apply towards all three items on the coupon to item limit total bc it is B1G2 free? In other words, when you add the two manufacturer Q’s do I have five Q’s and have to use fillers…or does it only count as three? Thanks for your help!!

  23. LeeAnn

All of the coupons in the infant care guide are now beeping. Mine beeped this AM before any manf. coupons were taken off. The cashier ended up re-ringing up the formula and manually adjusting the sale price down $2.00, the savings of the infant care coupon. The cashier’s have not been notified of this problem from manager’s and some might not know how to manually adjust down the price. Hope this helps anyone shopping this week for diapers, wipes and formula.

  24. Caro

Does anyone know if the Red Box Movie rentals that come with the eggs can be used at any kiosk or only at Wags? Thanks.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You can use the codes at any Redbox.

  25. JenFish19

Just got back from a wasted trip to Walgreens in Detroit area. They would not let me combine manuf. coupons with the Walgreens April book coupons. I just left and didn’t argue. I went to the store that I always have problems with. I should have known better. There is a Walgreens store that does very well with coupons, but it is out of my way.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

you can BUT you have to use the store monthly coupon book coupons FIRST then manufacture coupons otherwise it will beep!

  26. Rachael

There is a $3 off Walgreens coupon for osteo biflex in the Vitamins and Supplements wags coupon booklet. This will make them free.

  27. Laurie

Is the Enfamil coupon really good on Enfamil Premium? It looks like its only good on AR, Gentle Ease or ProSobee????

  28. Valerie

Got the 3 scotch tapes for free. Hand over the manufacturer coupons first, then the in store ad.

  29. Danielle

I don’t shop at Walgreens very often but was thinking about going there for the Huggies deal. My only question is.. How does the $2 Walgreens coupon from the infant care booklet deduct $8 if it states $2/1 and you only use 1 coupon?? And why does it not deduct $6 when you buy 2 diapers and 1 wipes?
    Thanks!

    • Rachael

The wags coupons in the infant care book work the same as the in ad coupons – you only need one coupon and it will give you the sale price for more than one of the same items listed on the coupon. The coupon is for $2 off huggies diapers big pack or huggies wipes 184 or 216 ct. So for every diaper or wipe that you buy, there is a $2 deduction from the one wags coupon.

      • Danielle

Thanks for clearing that up for me!

  30. Jo-Ann

Seeing the Banana Boat item reminded me that Costco now has a pack, I think of 2 Coppertone spray, a stick, and some other item behind the stick now. You might want to check it out, to see the sizes included to see if it’s a better deal, esp. if you have a family like mine that can’t keep track of our bottles of sunblock but like to hike, bike and just be outdoors in the summer! 🙂

  31. Cara

Can we use the 3.50/1 Huggies coupons that were available if you shared w/three people for the Huggies deal this week?

  32. k

I’m confused about RRs…..I have been using the Wags site for a long time and never had a problem before, but now my local Wags RRs are not matching up with the deals posted here! For instance, the Always liners are supposed to have an RR (listed on website) but not in my store. Anyone know what’s up?

    • Amanda S.

      Hi K,
Are the deals just not marked? My store NEVER marks RR deals with the shelf signs like I see in pictures. I just carry a copy of the ad around the store with me and have to match up sizes/items by myself. It kinda gets annoying but less advertising may be what is helping the stores not be wiped clean either. You could match up the sale items with the ad and then if the RR doesn’t print, either return it right then or ask a manager what is going on. I’ve also heard some people say they are in “test markets” with different ads too. HTH

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I think it depends on the store. My wags almost never has the great RRs posted, and they don’t print out. It’s like they only participate in the promotions they want to. And when I show the ad to explain that an RR should have printed, the manager will dish out some other excuse (ie: like it’s because I used too many coupons, etc). It’s a very messy system… needs to be streamlined already.

        • K

Yes, that is the case with me too. My actual ad does not have the RR’s! It has always in the past and changed about two months ago. So now my ad shows the same items on sale, but without the RRs. Such a bummer!

  33. candace

Collin. I’m not sure if anyone else has brought up a coupon booklet from Wags called Vitamins and Supplements Q&A…..but it has $40 worth of wags coupons in it good til 4/30. It has a $3 off the ostes bi-flex 80 to 120 ct. Not sure what these cost cause the one you put up looks like a liquid….but if they are around the same price it would make this a MM!! 🙂 I found the booklet in the vitamin row about a month ago!! 🙂 May still have some in some stores.

    • candace

oh and it also has $1 off any NM vitamins or supplements!!! 🙂 I’ve used this one several times already!:)

  34. Noelle

I bought the Dr Scholls inserts but the RR didn’t print. I’m really disappointed, because I didn’t realize it till I was in my car. Huge bummer. Is there anything I can do?

    • Amanda S.

      Hi Noelle,
You can always return the products because the RR didn’t print, or take a copy of the ad in, along with your receipt and products and talk to the store manager about them not printing. I’ve had several managers just manually print out the RR for me with no problems, the one time they couldn’t I just returned the product. HTH

    • Donna

That happened to me, as well! I went back in the store and the manager forced it to print for me. You can also call catalina with the store information (make sure you have your receipt on hand when you call) and they will mail you one, althought it will take a week or so, but they do extend the expiration date out enough so you can use it. HTH

  35. Mowermom

Went to Walgreens today none of the rr printed out. The manager told me the printer was diconnected from the system and I would have to send for the rr in the mail. This happened to me last week also. Every time I go there it’s a problem. I always have to spend so much time trying to get the deals printed in the ad. It’s not worth it I’m gonna stick to Rite Aid and CVS they’re so much nicer to deal with.

  36. Tonya D.

    Just not understanding this deal
    Coca-cola 12 pk 5/$15 with in ad Manufacturer’s coupon
    Deal Scenario:
Buy 5 12 packs of of Coke Zero 5/$15 with in ad manufacturer’s coupon
Use the $2/1 Coke Zero Walgreens store coupon from this deal (will deduct $10)
Final cost $5 for 5 12 packs – just $1 each! This is an awesome price!!

if you are using a $/1 coupon how will that deduct $10

    • Emma

When you use 1 Walgreens store coupon in a transaction it will deduct the coupon amount for all eligible products in your purchase. So in this case, using 1 of the $2 coupons will automatically apply to the 5 packs of coke in your transaction. resulting in $10 off

    • Melissa

you would have needed to do a promo a few weeks ago, if you bought a certain $ amount of listed products, you got (I think ) $10 in coupons in return. One of the coupons was for $2.00 off Coke Zero. It was actually coded as a Walgreens Store coupon, so it would deduct $2 off of every Coke Zero 12-pk. But then the coupon changed to being a Manufacturers coupon, where it will only take of $2 once.

  37. Emma

Anyone happen to have a review on the walgreens batteries… hoping to grab a AA pack to get us by?

I found a Free 2 Liter of Big Red with purchase of 2 dozen eggs coupon in my SS today, so combined with the printable coupons and Redbox codes, this deal is even sweeter!

    • Maria

I agree! Was thinking the same thing.

Does anyone know if the Gas X Prevention is included at $4.99?

    • Mel

I bought the Alvin and the Chipmunks DVD today and it had a sticker on the front for a free movie ticket (up to $7.50) to see Rio. $7.99 for a DVD and a free movie ticket!

I thought I had my trip all planned out but my store was out of several items on my list. I bought 6 of the gas-x prevention and was given the $2 off each for the wags coupon plus the full $4 off each for my manuf. coupons. I didn’t have enough items in my order to use all of my coupons and ended up being left with 2 shaving gel coupons that I didn’t get to use (the line was too long to grab something else & the cashier was grumpy) but can’t complain too munch. Got 6 gas-x, 4 choc. peeps, 2 shaving gel, 2 doz. eggs (+ 2 redbox movie codes) for .54!!!

Walmart (at least here in Chicago area) has nivia for 3.00 each reg price! that makes them free there AND the coupons just came out this weekend for 3.00 off so I’m getting a few of them myself 🙂

    • Donna

Target has these on sale for $3.00 too! 🙂

  44. Kim

My coupons for the tape scanned, but when she scanned the walgreens inad to get them bogo, nothing came off. Will be taking them all back!

The Wags in Louisville has Coke 12-packs 5 for $13, even better than the $15 listed.

Does anyone have the code from the infant care book for the diapers and wipes. My store never recieved this book. I was told that as long as I have the numbers on the coupon they can punch it in to make it work. Thanks

I went to Walgreens for the 1st time last week and thought it went pretty well although they were out of alot of items. But I am really happy with my trip yesterday! Did the Aveeno deal, Scotch tape, Peeps, Nivea body wash, Goody hair item, Dove chocolate, and a few other items. With all my coupons and register reward from last weeks Biore deal, I saved almost 70%! Plus I have $8 in RR to use next time. I’m pretty new to this couponing thing so this was exciting!

Is Walgreens still printing out the $15 coupons when you buy Coke, Planters or Reeses products? Is this promotion over?

    • Yolanda

yes, as far as I know is has been over for a while!

Against my better judgement I went to wags today in an attempt at getting the Hawaiin Tropic deal, (live in Florida and in major need of sunscreen) anyway I bought 2 HT one for 9.99 other for 11.99 both marked with the RR sticker my total was $21.98 then minus 2/$2 off coupons plus tax $19.41…and guess what my RR didn’t print, cashier and manager told me that the total had to be over $20 after coupons but I thought either way it should have printed the $5 RR for spending $15…had both kids in toe and a major line forming, so didn’t argue it just had them cancel transaction, but just reinforces why I avoid wags. Might attempt another one tomorrow…anyone else have problems with it?

    • Maddie

      Do this at Walgreens:
      Have cashier scan items.
      Ask for the total.
      Cashier presses subtotal.
Register sees that you’re spending enough.
Hand over all coupons and RR.
New RR print out without a problem.
So many people complain about Walgreens and their RR not printing. I never ever have problems at Walgreens!
