This is very helpful. I love it!

The only problem I have is that my newspaper never seems to have good coupons. I didn’t get the b1g1 clean and clear coupon, so I don’t think the deal would be worth it. Not your fault of course, Collin, but it sure is frustrating.

    • kim

I understand your pain. lol. My problem is that I don’t get the coupons that H2S says are in the inserts and the prices are not what I expect when I get there. Throws me totally off. lol. I am not blaming anyone because I know things vary from state to state, city to city, but it has gotten really frustrating to me lately. And I am actually in Jacksonville like she is. Blah. Last week there were 3 scenarios I wanted but didn’t get any of those 3 coupons she said to look for in the paper. (I was really wanting the Nivea Q but none. 🙁 ) I get the big Raleigh N&O here and still a no go. Oh well. I am still saving on some stuff I know. But I can’t help get a bit frustrated while putting my list together wondering “Ok, am I actually going to have this coupon and is this the prices CVS is really going to have”. Grrr.

      • BJ

Thats weird I got the Nivea BW Qs in the Raleigh N&O…was the whole insert missing or just no $3 BW Q?

        • kim

HI. No just that coupon. And I have 3 friends here and we all get the N&O papers on Sunday morning and we were all bummed to not have it. That is weird for sure now. ??

  2. imiss

    thanks for the tips.

  3. Jessica

I just shopped at CVS (our new deals kick in on Saturdays at 4:00) and there was a peelie on one of the Schick Hydro 3 razors for a free Schick Hydro Shave Gel. Woo hoo! $3.00 got me 2 razors & a shave gel!

    • Jennifer Watkins

Check with your store. My store accepts the expired ECBs, the beep the register, but they will override it. HTH

  4. Shop Now

I HATE ECBs… As long as I can roll them in the same trip, OK… but I have had too many expire… there’s just to much to keep track of… 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Last time I went to CVS I was told that ECBs do not expire. I was told it by two different managers at two different CVS.

    • Rhonda Shaw

Some CVS stores will still take the expired ECBs.. Ask at your store.

    • Ashley

Definitely ask your store – a manager if possible. One of my stores takes them, even a year old, no questions asked. My other one just told me their new DM only takes them from about 2 weeks after the date. Each store is different. Both of mine take competitor coupons too, which is not the norm apparently.

    • hannah

my cvs in kansas city, mo takes them expired. i even had a ten dollor one so just ask it worth a try

    Hi Colin!

I am dying Easter eggs with the kids! If I could I would leave have the Easter Bunny leave a GIANT Easter Basket for you and your bunnies (family)!

I hope we (your readers) do not see any deals tomorrow 😉 ! OK?

Have a wonderful Easter holiday! Bless you and your family and bless all your readers who have shared as well!

    Happy Easter!

    • Collin

Thank you so much! Happy Easter to you too! 🙂

  6. Ashley

Happy Easter, Collin! Thanks for all you do. This post was very nice – I would have appreciated it as a new couponer (I still appreciate it!)

    • Collin

You’re most welcome! Happy Easter Ashley! 🙂

  7. Nicole

My dove coupon says “excludes trial and travel sizes and Dove Men+care”. Just wanted to let you know.

    • xtophq

the one on sale is not trial/travel size 🙂

    • melissa

there were 2 different coupons in my insert, one excluded the mens+ and the other coupon was specifically for $1 off Mens+ Deo.

  8. Heidi

How do you use 2 of the same coupons on an item? Like 2 $1/1 Dove coupons. Isn’t that double couponing? I’m new to couponing and I’m a little confused.

    • Jessica K

You’re buying 2 so you can use 2 coupons. 🙂

      • Heidi

Oh, I get it now. I should of seen that. Thanks for letting me know.

  9. Anthony

One of my CVS will not take two coupons for items that are BOGO free. Their store policy is to not accept a coupon for the item that is free. Therefore the Schick Razor deal would not work. I went to the other CVS in my area and they had the Schick deal last week! I wonder why they are a week ahead on advertised sales?

    • Pollysmom

CVS corporate coupon policy says you can use 2 coupons on a BOGO free sale, print it out and bring it with you the next time the store refuses to allow it.

      • Jessica K

Where is the CVS policy to print?

        • jmartcougar

I would also love to print out the CVS policy if they have one!

  10. Selene

I have trouble using the printed $1 Men+Care coupon because it says “redeem at walmart” on it. I explained to the cashier and her manager that it is a MQ and it doesn’t say ONLY at Walmart but they wouldn’t take them. oh well.

    • princessbooboo

I did not have any problem, but you can go to Walmart and price match. Then, you won’t have any problem because you are using your coupons at Walmart.

BTW, Clean&Clear body wash was $5.99 at my CVS…

    • FtWayneCardsFan

My CVS would not take it either Sunday morning even though I explained it’s a manu coupon. I plan on going over to Wal-Mart and pricematching it there tonight.

  11. Kevin Rickman

Our cvs had $4 peelies on the blink tears so made them a money maker

  12. Melanie

Worked the Blink tears part of this today and was thrilled to find a $4.00 peelie on the Blink…a $1 profit quickly turned into a $4 profit…gotta love peelies, just wish CVS didn’t limit you to one! Keep your eyes open, I hope you find them too!!

  13. Heather

Can you use the $2/1 coupons on the Clean and clear body wash as well as the B1G1? I was told before that you can’t stack them like that, even with 4 items because the B1G1 attaches to 2 items. I will definitely try it though because that would be a really good deal!

    • Lindsey

You should be able to use a $ off q and a bogo q – as long as the $ off q doesn’t attach to the item you are getting for free! HTH!

  14. lynn

I went to CVS last night and the cashier wouldn’t give me face value of my coupons, for example Dove deo. was on sale for .99 and my coupon was for $1.00, so she only gave me .99!! Can they do that? Doen’t the manufacturer pay CVS $1.00 for that coupons???? I had other items in my cart that would have take care of the extra .01. I also tried to use a $3 coupon on hair dye that was on clearance for $1, again she would only give me $1 off. Needless to say, I was very upset with them. What is the coupon policy at CVS? I couldn’t find it on their website.

    • Lindsey

Yes, Lynn, they DO NOT give overage like Walmart does…they’ll adjust the amount of the coupon so you get it for free. 🙂

There are travel size Visines up at my local CVS registers for $1.99. I stopped by quickly to grab a Dove men’s deodorant for 99 cents. Had to pay 6 cents for tax for the both of them!
