Did everyone else get the $2.50/1 Pampers coupon? I only got 2 $1.50/1 coupons. Was it regional?
I had a cashier accuse me today of using a photocopied coupon. It was a pdf coupon for the physicians formula so making a photo copy seems really unnecessary. She then went and got an “original” as she stated and compared it to my coupon. She said no my coupon looked fine and scanned them. What was the point in that? I can’t wrap my head around what she was hoping to find and am floored that she would question if it was photocopied and then not have a problem with the fact that they all had the exact same codes on them. I don’t have enough coupon fight in me to explain what a pdf file is, so I was ready to accept whatever she decided, just really strange though. Anyways, great shopping day…thanks Collin!

It was posted on their website or facebook page, I don’t recall. I’m pretty sure that I used the link in one of Collin’s old posts.
I had the same thing happen to me a week ago. My mom used a couple of those pdf physicians formula coupons and had no problems, they didn’t even beep, and then a couple days later i tried using them at a different rite aid than hers and the cashier accused me of photocopying them. She was going to let me use ONE, which i don’t understand, but since they all had the same barcode she was telling me i photocopied them…excuse me, but i know whether or not i photocopied them. Anyways, i canceled the transaction and asked for all my store coupons and 3 off of 15 back. When i tried to use all those coupons at another rite aid, they were going to accept the physician formula pdf but the store coupons wouldn’t scan, so THAT cashier told me i had already used them. I have to get my coupons reset or something apparently. It would’ve been nice of the first cashier to tell me that and save me some time and extra embarrassment. Needless to say, all rite aid cashiers i dealt with in the last week were very rude about it all, i found myself to be the one apologizing and getting NO friendliness in return, just blank stares and sighs.
There must be some heat coming down from corporate over accepting coupons. I understand the cashiers have to be careful because there are unscrupulous couponers out there trying to scam the system. It just sucks to be attacked when you’re using coupons correctly. When she had determined that my pdf coupons were not photocopied, despite their identical everything (stills makes zero logical sense to me) she was very friendly and chatty. All I know for sure is the store will be reimbursed and I have two overpriced bronzers. Yeah me!
Erin, you and should go for a drink or something because that what happened to me yesterday I had to canceled my transaction because my cashier told me that I can only use 1 coupon on BOGO deal so I went to different RA store and they let me use 2 on BOGO but all of my video value coupons said that I had already used the coupons! so I called 1-800 number to ask why I can’t use 2 coupons on BOGO and they told I can use 2 coupons on BOGO. Today I got a phone call from the store manager and he said the cashier told him that I was trying to 2 coupons on 1 item. I don’t think I want to shop at that store again ever !!!!!!!!!
I’m so sorry. 🙁 Why did he call you up? And anytime things like that happen, ask to speak to a manager. The majority of them know what’s going on, so you’ll be good. 🙂
Oh man, I really sympathize! Some of them really can make you feel like dirt. I’m not like these “Extreme Couponers” we see on TV, loading up 4 carts and spending 3 hours at the register scanning coupons so I can have 5,000 free packs of fabric softener sheets. I just want the deal that the dang circular promised, and I want to use a coupon to make it even sweeter. Please don’t make me feel like I’m ruining your life by trying to save my family money.
I went last week and used UP rewards. When the cashier scanned the last one, the register wouldn’t take it because it was under the retail. I said that was fine I would save it for next time and the cashier said that for some reason there was issues with them not working next time. The other cashier told her to write on it but I just added some m&ms on to it to save the headache later. 🙂
I really really really dislike my Riteaid. I shop there only when I can get a really really really good deal. It used to be fine when I started shopping there. The cashiers were very nice, very friendly but they changed. Now everytime I have multiple coupons they do not put my items in bags till they match them with my coupons at the register. They do not say anything but I can feel their attitude. I switched to Walgreens which is conveniently located across the street from RA. In my area cashiers are very nice at a couple of Walgreens. I was shocked when a cashier saw that I had a toothpast which would print RR and offered me to do two transactions to pay for my items with the RRs from my toothpaste. I could not believe I finally found a person who knows what she is doing. That is a kind of service I value. Now when I have “a little pile” I can afford to bring my coupons where whey are appriciated. I can afford to wait a week or two till my favorite store has that nice deal. Every time I leave Walgreens I am happy and I do not have to think about rude RIDEAID people all day long. In general, I find that cashiers at Walgreens and CVS are better educated about coupons. I am sure everyone has a favorite store I just want to say you do not have to be unhappy about your shopping trip.
Have you ever copied a pdf coupon? I have (to see the difference) and it is less defined. If the manufacturer allows you 2 coupons and people copy them, then the manufacturer would have absolutely no control over how many coupons they have to reimburse stores for. I hope this helps clear this matter up for you.
true, although when they put them out as a pdf they have no real control either as people can print 1 or 100 and noone really can limit that….. i’ve thought of trying the copying for my own curiosity too 🙂 but i was afraid they might look identical then i’d get confused..lol.. i dont clip my pdf until at the register so if they say anything i can show there are no funky lines like there usually is with photo copies, on the edge or whatever…..

I received a free sample from the all you site for Dove Men+care. with the frr sample I got two coupons… one is 1 off 1 dove men+care body wash or bar and the other is 1 off 1 Dove men+care antiperspirant/deodorant. making the deodorant free for me after the + up. did anyone else get this coupon?

couldn’t you use the $1/1 lays kettle chips vv coupon from april and the $2/2 lays kettle chips from the pepsico insert to get them for $1 each (buying 2 bags)? those coupons are good for the sun chips too.
plus, you can use the free sierra mist wyb kettle chips or sun chips on the back of the pepsico insert, too.
I was just at rite aid and spotted some school supplies marked at 75% off. I got 3 edging scissors 3 ct for $1.24, Bic color collection permanent marker 8 pk. for $1.44, crayola washable wacky tips 16 pk for $1.74 ,poster ruler for $.62 . So keep an eye on those.
Ugh!!! Went to Rite Aid today and none of my +ups printed. And our Rite Aid is a hopping place after working hours (lots of people getting drugs and booze) so I wasn’t about to hold up the one and only line that was open. I have contaced them via their website so keeping my fingers crossed. I am looking at over $10. If it were a $1 or $2 I wouldn’t fool with it, but I bought things I normally would not have (the REvlon foundation for example) just b/c they were going to be cheap to try. Anyone had any luck getting these things corrected while NOT in the store???

Call corporate. I have had occasionally had some of my plus ups print while others do not, and every time I have called corporate they have sent me some in the mail. Just make sure you keep your receipt, because they’ll need to know the transaction number and such.
Gave up on getting a response back via the web, so I called. You must understand I HATE dealing with people on the phone. I have never been one to enjoy it and often say that I have a “phone-o-phobia.” Anyway, first I must have spend 5 minutes dealing with all the automated questions on where I needed to be directed. I was close to hanging up, but finally got someone, and they could not have been any more FRIENDLIER!! She apologized, etc… and said my $13 +ups will be in the mail. So glad I called.

I was in our Flint, Michigan store yesterday and Easter items were at 75% off.
got the batteries for 2.24 today. Thanks for posting that Colin! No peelies but I did have 1/1.00 off coupon on me. Got 80 duracel batteries for less than 20 dollars! (I had a +up reward on me so I used that too)
Just got a great deal on Old Spice ‘Swagger’ Body Wash. Bought 2 at $4.99 each. Rite Aid had B1G1 50% off (total now $7.50), plus a B1G1 from 5/1 and $1/2 from 5/1 (total now $1.50). And then the register printed out two $2-up rewards (now $2.50 money maker!).
