I am so peeved!!! Someone took ALL the rebate peelies off the Nexcare bandages!!! How the heck can I do the rebate now??? I had no choice but to buy the box b/c I had a $4 RR expiring today and I didn’t need anything else. So I thought that I would just burn the RR and turn it to cash via the MIR. Uggghh…..

  • Lacie says:

If you are in the Everett, WA area don’t bother going for the Clean and Clear deal. Some jerk cleared the shelves and it’s the first day of the deal! It is so frustrating to me when this happens! I have been hardcore couponing for two years now and I have never cleared a shelf. I am sure some of you in my area have shopped after me and been able to get deals because I left things for you. I was really looking forward to getting the clean and clear deal for bridesmaids bags for my wedding in a few months but now I just have to see if they get more in and if I can get there again before someone clears the shelves again. Please please please be considerate of your fellow couponers and do not clear shelves! Just because the people on Extreme Couponing do it does not make it okay! And if you are in Everett and are the person who cleared the shelves: Please realize there are lots of us out here who spend just as much time as you do preparing for deals and going to different stores to try to find deals. Please be more considerate with your purchases. Did you really need 10 body washes?

    • Tobi says:

I agree and I’ve seen this get worse since the Extreme Couponing show started :( I try to stock up on items to last my family until the next sale, not the next decade.

    • Shannon says:

I got a rain check for the right guard body wash, hopefully you can do the same! I hate shelf clearers! Someone goes into my store around 3 am everytime and takes it all, she took all the Aquafresh toothpaste a few weeks back and doesn’t even gave kids…now that’s class!

    • Anonymous says:

Ask your store for a rain check. I run into the problem of people clearing the shelves where I live too. A while back there was a Soft Scrub deal and I went into my Wags everyday trying to get in on it and they were always out. I hadn’t even thought to ask for a rain check since I was using coupons but the manager offered me one. I was honest and told her that I was going to be using coupons making 2 bottles free and she was totally OK with it and now offers me rain checks first thing whenever they are out of something. I’m lucky to have a really great Wags though. That and the fact that I’m in there so much that all the employees know me and my kids by name..lol. GOODLUCK!!!

      • wags employee says:

good idea only prob is the mfg coupon expires on the 15 of may and stores might not get it back in before then we cant take expired coupons so u would be paying 6.00 for both not free :(

    • Momma2One says:

Don’t take this the wrong way okay? I’m not take anyones side just stating what I think .

I live in Texas and I did clear the shelves of bodywash due to the fact I take care of my cousions, aunt, uncle husband & daughter. We have a total of 14 people in our home. So a deal for free bodywash is awesome. I got 15bottles of it. That won’t keep us up into the next bodywash sale comes around but it will save us some money for now. But my main is. Maybe someone with a lager family took all ten bottles..? Never know. I do not agree with people who make piles of stuff in their home that will last years on end that is just dumb but some people buy larger amounts due to the amount of people they live with.

      • Araaidan says:

Could you instead make a couple trips to different WAGS in your area and buy 4 at each? I totally understand you have a big family and tight finances but so do sooooooo many others. Just my 2 cents.

    • rebecca says:

Talk to a manager and ask them to put in an order for you. That way you don’t have to keep searching empty stores. I did that at CVS when they had the great Finish deal this winter, and they were more than happy to help me out! (AND— get a raincheck so you get the sale price when they come in!)

    • wags employee says:

amen sister happened to me to i went in on sunday to store i work at and one by my house and somone cleared shelves at both store like damn all i wanted was 2 people need to think of others u are not only one on this planet same thing happened with the rightgurd i couldnt even get the 2 i wanted cause the shelves got cleared everytime and i work there so im there all week are idea was when we get our truck in to keep them behind beauty counter and limit between 2 to 4 so everyone can get some

    • Jasmine says:

Walgreens is my least fav. store to shop at. They are always out of the good deals. Guess I should ask for the rainchecks always forget about that. Hopefully they don’t give me a prob.

      • Lacie says:

I have to agree with most of the other people. I may not have a big family, but I spend as much time couponing as anyone with a big family. Shelf clearing NEVER used to happen in my area but the last few couponing trips I have made have been the most frustrating trips of my life. It seems like ever since Extreme Couponing came out people are just out to try and clear shelves. I go to multiple stores in the area if there is a deal I really need, I don’t just clear the shelf at one store. Even the Targets in my area (who are NEVER out of stock of stuff) have been cleared lately. A lot of times I do deals for others, not for myself, like with the body wash. That is how I have been filling up bridesmaids bags pretty much for free. I just never thought the shelves would be cleared on the very first day, especially when I went into my wags on Friday and the Clean and Clear was completely fully stocked.

        • Anonymous says:

Sometimes it’s not people clearing the shelves, it’s Walgreens NOT STOCKING sale items…they do this quite often on good deals, I think to get us in to the store hoping we’ll buy something else. I checked eight different Walgreens….each told me they got a total of no more than 12 bodywashes on their delivery for this sale…which means only six customers (out of probably thousands per store) can buy that sale item. One store only got 5 in…which means only two customers could take advantage of the sale. I think more people need to complain to corporate about Walgreens stocking (or lack thereof) of sales items. When they had the MotrinPM deal….I noticed they were all well stocked once the deal expired….hmmmm..coincidence? I think NOT!

          • wags employee says:

it is not our fault it the people that buy 20 bottles fault we are a smaller scale store then walmart or krogers sowe have less shelf space we order what we can but since there are over 7000 stores we dont always get our orders issues like warehouse is out or there is a maaunfactur issue we try to limit the best we can but some people find ways around it like checking out at every register or cashiers that dont pay attention and let them buy 15 it really is frustrating for us to im a consumer also and i still havent been able to get my body wash we want our shoppers happy not upset

          • Fml says:

I agree with you. You know the Right Guard B1G1 sale last week? Instead of putting them in the B1G1 section with the other brands of body wash, the people at Mira Mesa, San Diego put them on the Family Planning section right beside the KY Jellies with a $5.49 price sign on it. Isn’t it suppose to be $4.49? How genius!

        • Dana says:

What are you putting in your bridesmaids bags. I am getting married in September and am trying to fill bags with good deals as well. Would love to know your ideas.

      • Dana says:

Please understand that it’s not Wag’s fault. It’s inconsiderate shelf clearers.

      • Dana says:

I have a Walgreen’s 3 blocks down the street. They are awesome. Everyone is nice and helpful. People need to realize that Walgreen’s is not the size of Walmart. They can not put 60 bottles of body wash on the shelf. I’ve done weekly trips to Walgreen’s and CVS for the past year (been couponing my WHOLE life). As soon as Extreme Couponing hit the airways, if I don’t frequent those two stores by Monday, I leave with a handful of rainchecks. It’s not a coincidence that after a year of doing this … all of a sudden, the shelves are cleared. It’s rude, selfish and inconsiderate. But there’s only so much that Walgreen’s can control. I fear that we won’t see the deals we’re seeing now, if this doesn’t stop. Shelf clearers are going to ruin it for everyone. Two years without a job, have since only been able to find a PT one, making 1/3 of what I used to make …. I have bodies that need cleaned too. Very, very frustrating.

    • Missy says:

I will also agree. When I first started couponing there was a deal for Bic razors I get to the store and there were 2 left. So I got those and got a rain check. My coupons expired before they ever restocked. :( The workers at my wags are very rude though. I also live about 30 or so min’s away from my nearest wags, so it is very frustrating to go and find they are out and don’t ever even get it restocked. I usually can only go 1 x a week.

    • Leanna says:

If someone clears the shelf, not all is lost…they usually restock at least once during the sale week is not more (you need to ask)…i.e. my Kroger has 3 big shipments per week. I suggest to find out when your store restocks. HTH

  • MaryBeth says:

Question about the Zyrtec: There is also a $5 off coupon in the circular…would this be in addition to the $10 off sale? AND there is a $1 off in the May Coupon Book, but it says for 12-14 ct…can you use that on a higher ct? Thanks! Need some Zyrtec ASAP and trying to find the best deal.

    • Mary Beth says:

Never mind…just found it on Amazon 70 ct for 19.25 w/ free shipping! Probably not going to find it for cheaper than that even w/ a $4 coupon.

  • Renee says:

I am not sure if I saw this on this site or another one but noticed this is the one that gets the most answers so here goes…on the filler items for wags…someone said get something cheap like $.10 pencils…but I have yet to find anything in that store for $.10????? any suggestions! I know i could do the deal of the week like last week it was the reese’s but they don’t always work out to be something we would use plus I was looking for a filler that is less than 50 cent…thx in advance

    • Kim says:

My Wags has their brand of soap on clearance for .32. I have been using those for fillers and putting them in my charity stash.

    • STacyT says:

My store have the little laffy taffys for .15. I love the banana so this is a nice little treat for me :)

    • melissa says:

My store has the pencils in a bucket by the register, or located in the seasonal aisle (you might find some Easter pencils clearanced out) I usually try to get something in the ad, other than candy. I use things like Peroxide, baking soda, canned mushrooms, anything that is .50 or under, esp if its something we use. My kids get pencils free from school, so I tend to not grab those, or candy. But I did use the .49 W brand candy today, I bought my mom orange slices, b/c she likes those.

    • Rie says:

Lately, I’ve found easter egg candies on clearance for $0.12 (75%off). Remember, no tax on food items for fillers. I always do a quick check on the seasonal clearance items or the clearance end caps items.

Dose anyone have some of the clean and clear bodywash coupons that they would be willing to trade? My sister and i both are in major need of it right now and Ive got a ton of Qs that i probably wont be able to use all of. I currently got 14 of the gillette razor Qs (and still clipping) and about 10 of the right guard BOGO Qs. Plus lots of others. Let me know if there is one that you need or want and are willing to trade for the clean and clear Qs. Thanks and God Bless, Ember

HELP WITH REBATES??? How do you send in an original UPC off a lotion bottle??? The Sunburnt Lotion is free with Rebate at Walgreens this week, but they want you to send in the upc with the receipt… how do you do that when its super duper adhered to the bottle? Anyone else experience this before ???
    Thanks a ton!!!!

    • Chris M. says:

If you go to the Sunburnt facebook page someone asked that question. Their response is: Mr. Snow, thank you for posting your question. We have waived the UPC requirement for this particular rebate, so please proceed with submitting your completed form and Walgreens receipt. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and appreciate your interest in SunBurnt® Therapeutic After-Sun Relief. – Customer Service

  • Pam says:

I have a question – the coupons in the WAGS may coupon booklet say “one coupon per customer per offer.” Does that mean we cannot stack w/manufacturer coupons? I have been a little afraid to try it as I don’t want to hold up the line and pay more than I bargained for.

  • Anna says:

Has anyone had problems with B1G1 50% off makeup deals when using the May coupon book coupons? I tried to do the Almay makeup remover deal yesterday and they only took 50% off the price after the store coupon was applied (so I saved $1.50 instead of $3). Does it always ring up this way? At first I thought maybe I handed over my coupons out of order, but since it’s a store discount you can’t really change when it gets applied. Has anyone else had this happen?

    • sstevens1121 says:

The same thing happened to me. I did not notice until I got out of the store and home.

    • Anonymous says:

It happened to me at 2 different Wags stores. The cashier today was great and understood what I was saying about the price being wrong. She rerang the order and figured out that the “$3 coupon” was also being cut in half. She said there was nothing they could do. Frustrated!!!!

  • Kristy says:

I get so tired of no product left on the shelf! Over 50 percent of the coupons are out of stock!

  • amhale11 says:

The Rimmel FB page also has $2 off any Rimmel Product coupons. Click on “Crown Your Friends”, choose 1 FB friend to assign a “crown” to (I chose my hubby), and then you can print the coupon twice!

  • hassel at Walgreens says:

Walgreens always gives me such a hard time with coupons. I always have to argue about the value of coupons or the merchandise. The first time I realize that you need to have the same amount of coupons and items, okay I get it. Today I had the $2/2 reach toothbrushes. The basic ones were $1.79 each and I bought a lotion. So I give her the coupon and she just scans it and say “it doesn’t work” and gives it back. No I have reach two toothbrushes so she scans it two more times and I ask for the manager. He takes on look at his screen and say, “oh it’s because they are $.99 each and the coupon is for $2. I told him, she couldn’t tell me that or figure it out??? Well she didn’t know.
So he does me a “favor” and tells me he will charge Walgreens $1 each but he made sure to let me know they were losing money $.02.
I didn’t know they were $.99 and I told him they were not labeled that price.
Rite Aide is far best the best store for coupons. They fix the problem on the spot or they asks a manager. I swear all the Walgreens cashiers just ignore it and don’t seem to try to figure out coupons.

  • KK says:

I tried to do the Clean & Clear deal on Sunday morning and was told by the manager I would have to buy one, and get three free. I did not do that deal. I went today in Winston on Robinhood road and actually found some more bottles. They had about ten or so at 12 oclock. I took my 2 up to the register, and the coupon kept beeping. She called the manger who went to the back to check something. In the meantime the cashier tried typing in the numbers on the coupon and it worked. So if your cashier is willing have them try typing the number in.

  • Ada - Lovin Him says:

The Pampers coupon in our 5/1 P7G was $1:50 – did some regions get $2.50 coupons?

  • Amber says:

Well yall are not alone all our shelves were cleared Sunday and I tried 4 more today no luck :( Tried price matching at wal-Mart but I have to call corp tomorrow!
Now let me get on my soap box it doesnt matter if you have 2-100 people in your house I dont think its fair to clear shelves just because you think its owed to you??? I usually use 2 coupons now whether that means 1-4 items and I cant even do that because I cant find not 1 item on the shelves and why should I have to special order maybe the person buying 20 bottles should special order and leave more for everyone else…… Now I could care less about the body wash I have lots of Nivea, Dove, and some clean and clear from when CVS had it few months back but I would like to get the tylenol items, and a few panty liners( which I ended up getting at Target and Wal-Mart)
Ok now I am done sorry if I offended anyone but I have never had this problem till the last 4-5 months :(

    • wags employee says:

right on sister i feel the same way that why me as a wags worker wont let people get that many so everyone can do the deal i have had the same prob getting the clean and clear because the shelf was cleared sunday moring before i got there and i could really use that item now lol dang acne so i understand ur frustrations completly we try to order as much as we can but sometimes warehouse is out or we not sure how much to order we are trying to limit all the good deals

    • Jenn says:

I’d like to add something else. I think that even if you can get an item free, if it’s something you know you will never use, I say only buy it if there are PLENTY on the shelf. I’m sick of people buying tons of things and clearing drugstore shelves–OR jumping on hot deals online (like Huggies jean diapers for $1.99), when they know they will never use the products!!!! I”m all for donating things and helping those who need it, but please try leaving some for those of us who actually have to buy diapers on a regular basis or actually use contact solution. If it’s a moneymaker–I understand buying it anyway, but don’t use “I wanted to donate it” as an excuse to keep others from being able to get the things they need and use at reasonable prices (we spend time couponing/deal hunting, too, even if caring for children or working keeps us from being able to jump on a deal within the first 10 seconds it’s offered). This is something that’s been bothering me a lot lately (especially that Huggies jean deal earlier this week–buying 5 “to donate” when you don’t have kids–and they canceled my order for ONE, though we go through a pack of diapers a week!).

Also, Collin–I’d love to hear if your thoughts on these issues:) Maybe you could do a Coffee with Collin on “Coupon Courtesy.” Thanks for all the deals–I use your site daily!!

      • Jenn says:

By the way, Collin, I was totally NOT trying to imply that you are not coupon courteous. I am sure you are!! I was just thinking that if some basic tips came from YOU (as opposed to crazy commenters like myself), there would be a lot of people who would listen:)

  • Kari says:

I’m a little slow so it took me a little while to take in what had been written about clicking and printing to make your own shopping list from the deals this week. Just used it and I have to say IT’S AWESOME!!! Saved me so much time…just click off what I don’t need and then print! Colin, your a GENIUS!!!

  • Anonymous says:

Im a little confused about the clean and clear deal…why wouldnt you have to pay for 1 and get 2 free?

  • Ashley says:

I am really annoyed! I can’t find the Clean & Clear, ANYWHERE! I seriously went to 9 Walgreens. That’s combined with the 4 near me, and the 5 that are near my mom who lives an hour away (checked when I went to visit yesterday). I also went to Walmart to see if I could price match and they didn’t even carry the item!! I was able to get a rain check at one Walgreens near me, but the coupons expire on Monday. I doubt they will get their truck in before they expire! UGHH!! I first went to look for it on Tuesday (didn’t think they’d be gone since the sale started on Sunday). People keep clearing shelves!

  • Ashley says:

So I have a question…I have been couponing at WAGS for a long time now but NEVER run into this problem and I wanted to see what the right thing is here: Normally when I shop and get a raincheck for something that they are out of, they will give me a raincheck including the RR. Usually, they just write the raincheck for the cost of the item, including the RR, which makes it free or whatever the sale price is after the RR. The other day when I went into WAGS, the cashier told me that they were not supposed to write any rainchecks for items that had RR and that this had always been their policy. While I was flustered, because I had never encountered this, I didn’t get upset because I thought well, maybe everyone else has been wrong all this time, however, considering that the shelves get cleared from day 1, if they do not do rainchecks for items with RR, what is the point of me even shopping there? Basically the first peron there every week would get the deal and that’s it. The only beneift is from items that are b1g1 and then using a b1g1. Could someone maybe clarify? This has bothered me all week!!

  • I did not read through all of the comments, so sorry if this is a duplicate, but….

For those who may not have picked up the Nexcare yet or filled out the rebate form, the rebate is for up to 1 of each kind that is on sale. There is a place on the form itself where you check which products you purchased,

  • Amy says:

I have to agree about the shelf clearing… if you don’t have to do it – don’t… in our area there is ONE Walgreens – ONE and it’s even 30 minutes from where I live so it’s especially frustrating b/c if it’s gone – it’s gone ALL WEEK. This just happened to me this past week. They had Life and Cap’n Crunch on sale – I had coupons for Quaker cereals. Well of course all week they were still out – did get the raincheck for $1.75 a box BUT the coupons expired! So, now I’ll be holding onto my raincheck in hopes that when I get the next Quaker coupon I can go down and finally get the deal.

  • Dee says:

I agree with everyone regarding shelf clearing. I think many people use the excuse of “donating” to buy 15 of 1 item. My husband has been out of a decent job for 24 months. However, I’ve been couponing all my life. No, I don’t have a stash in my garage like those crazies on Extreme Couponing, but you will find 4 pks of razors in my bathroom closet etc. I’ve had to do a loan modification on my home, file bankruptcy, sold my business at a loss, go through my savings and retirement in the past 3 years. Yes, times are tough but I’m pretty positive and happy. I just wished these newbie extreme couponers would take the time to consider other people who spend time clipping, organizing and planning for deals only to find empty shelves week after week. Hopefully this is just a phase for all the Extreme Couponing Fans out there. And by the way….that show bites! People ordering PALLETS of merchandise…….stock piles that look like stores their garages……when it comes to a point that you have to buy a $200 canned food rotating system to store your 150 free cans of corn……ummmmm you have a problem!!! Lmao ;)
