The links in the post below may be affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Yay…it’s FRIDAY! :) I just want to remind you that today is Mega Swagbucks Friday, which means you may be able to score more Swagbucks than normal just by searching the web, something we all do on a regular basis!

If you’re new to Swagbucks, here are a few ways to earn Swagbucks…

* Searching the web
If yours is a winning search, you will see a “Congratulations” screen featuring your Swag Bucks award immediately above your search results; you will never be directed away from your search. You can win multiple Swag Bucks every day; Swag Bucks can be won in denominations ranging from 1 – 1,000.

* Taking Surveys
Each survey that you chose to engage with may have a different Swag Bucks payout. Completing “deeper profiles” helps Swag Bucks alert you only to surveys for which you qualify and typically enables you to complete more targeted surveys which have significantly higher Swag Bucks payouts. Snag 1 Swag Buck per day just for heading over to the Survey page!

* Voting in Daily Polls
Snag 1 Swag Buck per day for voting in the daily poll.

* Watching videos
Swag Bucks are awarded randomly via Swag Bucks TV. Not every video you watch will earn you Swag Bucks, but just like Swag Bucks search, every video you watch is a chance to earn.

* Completing Special Offers
To ensure that an offer has been completed, follow the instructions provided for each individual offer. The offer needs be completed in the same session and all information required to complete the offer MUST be accurate. The majority of offers will credit your Swag Bucks account within 20 minutes. However, the estimated wait time varies from offer to offer. Some may take a few hours or a couple of days before final confirmation is received.

*Playing Games
Swagbucks recently released FREE Swagbucks Games… find a game you like, play for free AND you’ll be eligible to earn bonus Swag Bucks just for playing!! There are two ways to be rewarded for playing games (1) Play games for free and you will randomly earn from 1-5 Swag Bucks (2) Buy into tournaments where you risk a small amount of Swag Bucks for the chance to earn a large amount. Just login or register and click on the “Earn” tab, then in the drop down menu choose “Games”.

* Finding Swag Codes
Swag Codes are strings of alphanumeric text that you can apply for instant Swag Bucks. Swag Codes can appear anywhere, and at any time, throughout the Swag Bucks network including the Swagbucks newsletter, any Swag Bucks powered Search&Win Site; the Official Swag Bucks blog, Facebook Fan Page, Twitter page, Flickr page; and affiliated partner sites. Swag Codes can be redeemed by entering the codes into the Swag Codes box on your My Account page.

* Sharing Your Birthday
Be sure that you enter your birthday in the account details and you’ll snag 50 Swag Bucks on the big day!

You may be wondering, how can I use my Swagbucks or what can I purchase?

Swag Bucks can be used to purchase apparel, kitchen items, electronics, gift cards and lots more in the Swag Store!  My personal favorite item is a $5 Amazon e-Card for only 450 Swag Bucks! :)  Plus, Swagbucks recently added NEW rewards, including O’Charley’s eGift Cards, Brinker International eGift Cards (valid at Chili’s, Macaroni Grill, and more), Home Depot gift cards, as well as eGift cards to Fandango, Home Depot, Rixty, CVS, Overstock, Lands End, Cabelas, and more! (Thanks, Jessica’s Coupons!)

Happy Searching! :)

    I do not see where to enter my birthday. I click on the account details and under account info its only name, email, and password, swag name and then under shipping info is my address. I don’t actually see where to enter my b-day. Can someone point me in the right direction

  • Jenny says:

    Yay! I love Swag Bucks! I just received 10 for searching “Hip2Save.” :)

  • Dianna says:

    I love swagbucks! Between all the search-and-win sites I frequent, I paid for my kids’ Christmas and birthday gifts. Have already saved enough Amazon gift cards to pay for this Christmas (just since January 2011). For anyone who is skeptical—it’s worth your time!

    • DP says:

      Got any tips for us? I earn about 1 Amazon card every 3 weeks.

      • Chris M. says:

        Go to the Swagbucks Facebook page. They have links to swagbucks for dummies and lots of info on how to get more swagbucks

    • Ashley says:

      oh wow! thats awesome, glad i signed up :) so you actually get points for doing stuff on the internet (on occasian, i understand that part…) but i heards people saying you get 10 swagbucks when you print coupons and you get the points once you use them, is it true? how, do you just go through swagbucks to say thanks for any info :)

      • Ashley says:

        oh yeah, can you get points everyday for searching things, or only today?

      • Cat W. says:

        I do the coupons through them! You have to print out your coupons from the SwagBucks site (it’s the same stuff as though). On your SB homepage, it’s the first link down in Earn drop down. It takes a while for you to see the Coupon points though, and it doesn’t tell you which coupon it was for (I often leave my coupons from SB on the shelves for others for a possible win/win). I love SwagBucks! I’ve earned $30 in Amazon giftcards since joining on Feb 1 of this year.

        • Ashley says:

          thanks! i will now print my coupons their! and leaving them and getting points is a good idea because i leave coupons anyway :D thanks!

  • Candice says:

    So I have a question (that is probably a dumb question-fair warning)… A $5 Amazon gift card costs 450 SB. A $25 Amazon gift card costs 3150 SB. For 3150 SB I could get seven $5 Amazon gift card worth a total of $35. . . So. . . why would someone want to get the $25 Amazon gift card? The only reason I can think of is because of the cap on the number of prizes you can redeem in a month. . . Just curious. :)

    I used to like swag bucks until they thought I over searched, thinking I was a bot. You’ll see “the rules” when you’re not allowed for a 24 hour period to continue searching. This happened to me twice, after the fact that I upgraded my DSL to 3mbps. I was with them for 6 months with no problem, prior to the dsl upgrade. As part of my work with Demand Studios I have to search to confirm answers and other info. I explained to SB this and though they apologize for the inconvenience, the system was still the same, so I said bye bye. But yes you can get a lot of amazon gift cards.

    • Ruth says:

      Occasionally I’ll get the the notation about them checking to see if I’m a ‘bot’. It just asks me to type in some verification letters to check that I’m a person. Never got the 24 hour ban, though.
      And the Swagbucks TV rules are different than what’s posted. You earn a percentage towards a 3-point Swagbuck as you watch each episode, until you reach 100 percent and get rewarded. It’s usually about 20-30 minutes of watching, which is alot I think for just 3 bucks.
      Printing and using their coupons and searching are better Swagbuck earners, IMHO.

      • Chris M. says:

        Each video moves the meter 10%. So 10 videos fills the meter and you get 3 swagbucks. You can fill 25 meters per day, so 75 swagbucks. It does take alot of time, but you can shorten it somewhat buy watching short videos (animal ones are short) and clicking on a different video as soon as you see the meter advance (which after the ad is about 50 seconds into the video). HTH

  • CoffeeB says:

    I love the new gift cards they just added. Thanks Collin for pointing this out. So far I’ve only redeemed amazon gift cards, but I’ll be looking at some of the restaurant ones for gift giving. Even HomeDepot is a great guy gift for Fathers’ Day coming up.

  • Shirley says:

    I’m completely new to SB’s so please forgive the stupid question to all you seasoned SB’ers. What do you mean by “searching the web”? Does that mean randomly googling sites? Not sure I understand. Sorry in advance.

  • Lisa m says:

    this site is great been over there a year now, thanks to collin and its for real. I have gotten a lot of free things from amazon and the starbucks gift cards are super…..thanks collin.

  • Sara says:

    Don’t forget about printing /using coupons from their site! That’s way easier than taking a 25-minute survey for 50 swagbucks that you may not even be allowed to finish.

  • Wendy says:

    I hope I have my birthday on there…I have one soon! I can’t see if I have it or not…:(

    Another way I get swagbucks quickly is through the special offers. I am able to buy the groupons I like and get 160 swbks at the same time!!! I buy 2-3 groupons a month which is enough for a $5 amazon gift card plus for something I would buy anyways….

  • chriscasey1969 says:

    I dont understand how this works and the tool bar slowwed my computer.

  • Susan says:

    I just got the 4th one, don’t see the bonus credit yet but I am hoping it will show up tomorrow.:-)
