Starbucks' Digital Scavenger Hunt: Win One of 500 $25 eGift Cards (1PM EST)
Just wanted to remind all of you that another round of the new digital scavenger hunt powered by Starbucks will start today, May 25th, at 1PM EST (10AM PST). To start, you need to head over here and register (you must log in with your Facebook account) and then be sure to check out the rules below so that you’re ready to play!
Here’s how the game works:
* On the appropriate date and time (see round schedule below), head over here and click on the day’s date to view the image. Each image on the game site represents the start of a clue trail, and each trail leads to a small SRCH card hidden somewhere on the web. Click that card to win.
* Keep in mind that SRCH game icons have been scattered all across the digital universe. Prizes vary in quantity and value per round (the more valuable the prize, the harder the clues are to find and solve for that prize). Clues may be in the form of text, graphics or video; you’ll be sent throughout various digital channels, anywhere from Facebook to Shazam to gather clues.
* If you are the first (up to the stated number of winners in that particular round) to successfully find(s) and solve(s) the clues in a particular round, you’ll will win a prize.

I don’t think I’ll be participating in this one. It’s way too complicated for me! I didn’t understand the answers to the last clues…even after the game was over and everyone was trying to explain it in the comments, lol. I guess I need to stick with a simpler game, haha!

That’s my problem, I saw instantly that it was morse codes. But that was pretty much the only thing I could think off.

I can’t seem to get registered..what am I doing wrong? Collins link to register brings me to the page to flip todays card and it just says I need to log into facebook and register. Found them on FB and liked..but now what?

The prizes are all gone. But you had to go to SRCH’s Facebook page, go to the photos for 5-25-11, find a blog link from Scott, follow the link and click on the image at the bottom of the page. Fun.

They explained here how it worked. The game is over. I read the rules and they said nothing about having a smartphone that can scan codes and all that stuff. I wouldn’t have wasted my time. I thought it was kinda fun, but apparently you can’t do it without a smartphone…..
Can someone who was smart enough to figure this out explain? I got the clue was Morris Code for 5+25+11 and found the photo gallery on Starbucks facebook page, figured out all the numbers for each photo and then got stuck. How did you find the blog post? Just random searching? I thought there was supposed to be a clue “trail” but this was apparently too hard for me.

I won! I don’t know exactly how I figured it out, but I can’t wait to load that $25 onto my Starbucks card!
Decoding the Morse code clue, we got “FINDSRCHPHOTOSFIVETWENTYFIVEANDELEVEN”. That was a clue to look at SRCH’s Facebook photos. There was an album there called “5+25+11”. There was an album of the same name on Starbucks’ and Frapuccino’s Facebook photos. After decoding the Morse code in each photos caption, the ones that were 5, 25, and 11 were a light bulb, Starbucks logo, and “25”. The light bulb represented “idea”, so if you Googled “Starbucks idea”, the first search result led to the My Starbucks Idea page. Search on that site for “twenty five”, and you’ll find an “idea” from SRCH. In the comments of that “idea”, SRCH posted a link to a secret blog post. The link to the prize was at the bottom of that page.

I won!! Thank you for your post. I saw it on facebook and then went to play. I got the Morse Code bit and then the album on the SRCH FB page and then stalled. I never ever would have figured out this puzzle but someone posted a link to the blog. I was nimble enough and got it. Thanks again!
