Thanks Collin for your wonderful work. Happy memorial Day. have a great weekend!

  2. melissa

even better deal on the Ritz, my area got $1.50/1 q’s. But I want to warn everyone ahead, I looked at stock earlier when I went to pick up some pictures, and there were only 4-6 on the shelf. Unless they plan on unloading for a special display, I can see bare shelves early on.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I checked my store and they are also in low supply and will not be receiving more. They plan to substitute another product (that I don’t have coupons for).

  3. Khara

I also saw a walgreens coupon for the crackerfuls in one of the recent inserts…maybe it was last weeks, not sure. You could possibly pair the mfg q with the wags q for an even better deal!

  4. Shauna

Is there any way I can get the policy of BoGo sale and a BoGo coupon and getting both for free? My store bugs me about it everytime, but can’t find anything about it on the policy and walgreens won’t email me back.

    • Jessica K

Click the link at the top of the page.

      • Lori G

Unfortunately, the coupon policy doesn’t actually address the use of 2 bogo coupons being used together, just 2 coupons being used on an item. However, if you call corporate (even open on Sat. and Sun>), they will in fact confirm that you can use 2 bogo coupons on an item to get 2 for free. I have had to this a number of times, in front of store mangers because they just refuse to believe it can be correct. Corporate is very nice and tells the managers right on the phone to give you the deal…I hate to be a pain about things, and usually when I am made to look like a criminal in front of a long line of disgruntled shoppers I just walk away…but sometimes I hold my ground because I know I’m right 😉

    • MaddyCruise

There’s a link that Collin put on the top of this page. Click the Corporate coupon Policy and you will be able to print it!!! HTH

  5. Lisa

There is a Wags regional (I think from last weeks ss) for $1 off 2 (Wags coupon) that can be stacked with the Ritz deal. These are going to be almost impossibe to get as there were only 4-6 on the shelf at my store too 🙁

  6. Julie

You may not want to use the $1/2 Walgreens coupon on the Crackerfuls as you will only get 1 RR. It’s a better deal to buy 2 separately without the Walgreens coupon.

I really hope one of the Walgreens has stocked up on crackerfuls! I’m not clearing the shelves, I refuse to do so. (I have a bunch of the $1.50 off from a past insert). I have plans to check 4 Walgreens in my area, but have back up plans to go to 2 more on the way home. Surely one of them prepared for the sale! I love these!

    • Laura

Oh and by the way, I went by Walgreens yesterday and there were no crackerfuls on the shelf at all! 🙁 Hopefully they’re just preparing for display

    • Mike

there’s an outage of some sort, so doubtful they’ll get any more, sadly. 8 out of 10 stores here are OOS on Saturday.

    • Cathy

I checked my Walgreens on Friday (we only have one in town) and they had NO crackerfuls in stock. 🙁 I was really looking forward to trying those! I asked an associate and they said they won’t get another truck in until mid-week so no deal for me. 🙁 I guess the next best thing for me is price matching at Walmart and getting them for $1 after MQ.

  8. Guest

how would walgreens handle a raincheck on the crackerfuls?

    • Joseph

they would write it for the sale price only. because the RR will only print during the promotional period.

      • Ashley

I’ve had a raincheck written before for something with RR, and the manager wrote the amount of RR listed on the raincheck. I’m assuming they will just give you the cash back.

        • Julie

My wags manager said that since the RR won’t print with the raincheck by the time the crackerfuls come in, they just wrote free on the raincheck. So I can grab and box for FREE!!! I was really surprised!

  9. Maddie

Extreme Couponing is so annoying. There was this guy at Wags who had fifteen(!) of the 1.99 dog foods – he had taken them all – and I got there two minutes too late. I even had to wait in line behind him and listen to him go on and on about “Extreme Couponing” on TLC and how he’s getting all those for free.

    • Meridith

Yuck! I am sorry I would have had to open my big mouth. I can’t help it sometimes. Sorry I know that really stinks when you are just a bit late!

    • A

Ugh that would have annoyed me too! I hate people who take every single item off of the shelf and don’t leave any for others just because it’s free and they have tons of coupons for it. The same kind of thing happened to me on Easter when the Dove Mencare deo was on sale for 99cents at CVS…..I got there about half an hour after the store opened and the shelf was cleared….I thought I’d just gotten there too late and tons of people had already done the deal (we have a lot of couponers in our community =) ) .., but got in line and the lady in front of me had EVERY single deo in her cart! I did say something to her because there was a limit of 5 per household and I didnt see how she could possibly have that many cvs cards/ be allowed to take them all with the limit clearly in the ad. I could have made a bigger deal about it because I’m pretty sure she had about 50 or more deoderants in her cart…but she was very unpleasant so I just left and went to the only other cvs in town before she got there. When i got there their shelves were fully stocked…imagine that lol. I warned the cashier someone might be coming to clear out their deo stock and he knew exactly who i was talking about! Guess she regularly clears shelves but if the managers dont even inforce the limits that are clearly printed in the ad then I guess we are out of luck around here =(

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

OMG that drives me nuts…Im starting to hate extreme couponing too. They make it seem so easy do, and people believe it. Its impossible to do those kind of transactions specially in CA where double coupons are not even allowed, except for: limit one double coupon up to $1./one like coupon per transaction/per household. I mean HELLO. People need to start being more respectful towards other families, we ALL need to save money!!! thats the point.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Your Walgreens should enforce the limits on sale items. I would possibly call the store manager and let him know.

  10. jmartcougar

    Thank you Colin!

  11. Joseph

The crackerfuls are going to be substituted for triscuit and other nabisco products due to supply issues

  12. Andi

My walgreens wont give a raincheck on anything that has RR! That came per the manager. UGH I prefer CVS but sometimes go to wags if there are good deals. I will try sun/mon sale but not gonna get my hopes up. They never have what is advertised and never give rain checks on them.

  13. momto2

Has anyone heard of Walgreen’s changing their coupon policy in regards to RR’s. A cashier at my Walgreen’s (in Michigan) said they changed their policy sometime after easter and any product that has a RR with it you will not be able to use a manufacture coupon with it or the RR will not print. Or vice versa, if you don’t want the RR or your coupon is bigger then use the coupon instead. I haven’t seen anyone else post regarding this. I was just checking because with the Ritz this weekend, it will come into play!

    • Sarah

It has never been an issue for me i do it all the time..and have not heard that it wont work.

    • klink

Sometimes , for whatever reason, people make things up.

    • Maddie

Hi, I want to pass along this tip in regards to RR:
After the cashier rings up your order and BEFORE you hand over any coupons ask for your total. Then give your coupons and you should have no problem with your RR printing. 🙂
      Hope that helps!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I work at a Michigan walgreens and have not heard of this.

  14. Micki

I LOVE being able to print out my own shopping list!! Did it for the first time today with the Walgreen’s ad for next week. Thanks Hip2Save!!

    Gramma Micki

  15. Sarah

@ Momto2 – You can certainly still use coupons and then get the RR, the cashier doesn’t know what she is talking about. I just did it this morning picking up some listerine using manuf cpn stacked with wags cpn and I had to wait a minute for it to print (the catalinas there are really slow), but I got it. So go right ahead.

  16. Tonya

Off the subject.. Sorry! I am trying to find out if anyone who ordered a $10 gift card for Ruby Tuesday’s from Friends and Family deal site on May 10 actually received their gift card. It was supposed to arrive by the 27th and I got nothing!!!

    • Katie

I have not gotten mine yet either. I was just thinking about that yesterday and wondering when it would come.

      • Kelley

        Me either! Hmmm….

  17. Amy

I just got back from my walgreens to make orders for the Aquafresh kids toothpaste and Listerine Smartrinse (so I’m not a shelf clearer). The bad news is the smartrinse is on back order because of supply issues from the manufacturer. Also the ritz crackerfuls are in the same boat. My store in Oregon is out of both. They are going to substitute the ritz (with products I don’t have coupons for). However it is still a good week with all the register rewards! Thanks Collin for your post!

  18. Beth

It looks like the 2/$10 sale on diapers is online today!

    Here’s what I did…
    4 packs of size 4 diaper: $20
Other personal care items I’d normally buy on sale or not: $10
    Total: $30
MEMORIAL5 code (for $30 purchases ends today!) -$5
    Total $25 gets FREE SHIPPING

Free shipping has to be under 10 lbs (check the details on the products you are getting). Even if you go over 10 lbs a little, it’s not that much. All 5 of my items were $0.18 shipping.

Basically, size 4 diapers for $.12 each AND I don’t have to lug the baby through the store!!!!

    • Lisa

ARe you able to use the infant care booklet coupon code? There’s $2 off the walgreens diapers.

    • Abby

I did a similar deal in store today, I bought a total of 10packs of diapers ( different sizes, 2 kiddos in dipes) they had Wags q’s in front of the pricetags on shelf for $1/1 and then used the $2 infant care booklet Q’s and got all ten packages for $24 before tax! 🙂

  19. Anna

In my ad the OFF clip ons are on sale for $7.99, but advertised as $6.99 after the Walgreens coupon, maybe a regional difference? This would actually make them $2.99 after the BOGO, unless the $2/1 coupon will stack, too, making them $1.99. Does anyone know if the BOGO attaches to both or if you can still use the $2/1 with the BOGO and Walgreens coupons on this deal?

    • Savingyoursenseandcents

I got two of these this morning @ $7.99 each. Used the Wags Q, used the BOGO Q, AND used the $2/1 Q for the one you are still paying for. Didn’t have any problems.

  20. Beth

Forgot to add Ebates is 3.5% for Walgreens. (not factored into my per diaper price). Every dollar saved counts ;0)

  21. MacKenzie

I just called my local Walgreens and they informed me that they don’t have the crackerfuls in stock! Why put out an ad if very few stores will have them, which probably have a limited supply as well.

    • tes

I think they print their ad about 4 weeks ahead of time. They probably thought they were going to get them in stock but there was some distribution problem or something.

  22. Mitch

That’s a great deal on Dunkin DOnuts coffee, I am glad I kept printing those coupons!
The Illy iced coffee deal is great too, it’s free!
    thanks for these!
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

  23. kmay

on the Walgreens diapers- I found a little coupon pamphlet at my cosmetic counter and it had a -$1 w brand diapers or pants. and its a manufacture coupon!- it starts with a 5 (its not the store coupon that starts with the 0)…. So i can use it with the -$2 w diapers out of the infant booklet. That means i will get 2/$4

    • Crystal

I got one of those too! I wasn’t even thinking that I could stack those coupons! What a great deal! Thanks!

      • WagsEmp

I tried (my sister just had a baby) and I couldn’t because they were both Wags coupons! Sad I know! hehehe!

        • kmay

I did the Walgreens diapers this morning and it worked just fine. I was able to use the -$2 off w diapers coupon from the infant care booklet and two -$1 off w diapers from the w look inside booklet. The -$1 one scanned as a manufacture coupon. So I got two packs for $4!! 🙂

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ok folks good luck on trying to find the ritz crackerfuls most stores only got like 4 in and some got none not sure the reasons why my store got 4 and i know that will be gone in 5 secs but for those of you lucky enough to get them u may use the 1/2 wags coupon from last sundays paper it will take 50 cents off 1 since it a wags coupon and the mfg coupon for a dollar off and if some of u have the 1.50 coupon it would be free plus 2 back but good luck finding them if u have only the dollar coupon would still be .50 so not bad good luck everyone

    • joeywishtoo

Thanks for the heads up! Our 24 hour Walgreens didn’t have any Crackerfuls this morning either. Not sure if they had any at midnight or not. Ours is substituting Ritz crackers, Triscuits & Wheat Thins.

      • Ashley

If they are substituting..this means you can’t use any coupons right?

        • A

I asked the manager at my Wags this morning if they were substituting since they had no crackerfuls and she didnt even know what I was talking about =(. I might go back later to try and see if a box of one of the crackers listed will produce the rr??? hmmm…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

to clarify we are substuting other nabisco crackers ie ritz wheat thins triscuits but they may be gone as people would be extreme couponig u cant use the crackerful coupon but there was a 1.00 on 2 nabisco crackers coupon so u could buy 2 for 3 and get 2 back or not use coupon and get 2 back and pay 2 reason is there is a mfg issue a shortage of the product and most stores it is not a basic item one we normally dont carry

  25. Sarah

Does anybody know if the Pine Sol deal is for the Original Scent or any scent?

    • DailyDealerFinder

In the ad it says it’s for a 28oz bottle. So Basically, any 28oz bottle. It would be a good idea to ask for a price check just to make sure.

  26. sarah r

i tried the Off clip-on starter kit deal this week and could not stack the $2/1 coupon with the BOGO. i don’t see why it wouldn’t work, but the computer kept beeping the the cashier said she couldn’t get it to go through. did anyone else try it and have success?

    • thewaka

I did that deal at three different Walgreens last week with no trouble at any of them.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The computer did the same thing when I tried this deal. I simply explained to the cashier how the coupons worked and she agreed with me and entered it in manually! Sometimes the computer has temper tantrums, but if you explain it to the cashier they should be able to override it!

    • Crystal

I done this today. You have to hand them the 2 2.00 off coupons first then the B1G1 they will have to manually punch it but when they are reading it its obviously the right product. just an FYI

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Similac read to feed sensitive spit up is ringing up at $4.32 so with the $5/1 similac coupon it would be free! The cashier just adjusted the price for me to be able to use the coupon.

    • DailyDealerFinder

They adjusted the price?? You’re one lucky person then, not having to hear the dreaded, “you’re going to have to buy an additional item with this in order to adjust the overage”

      • Gabrielle

Why lucky to have a cashier adjust the price down? If the cashier says you can’t use a manufacturers coupon because it exceeds the item price simply pull out your coupon policy and show them the section that reads: “The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value). I’ve rarely had this problem, but when I do the policy works every time! I’m lucky to have a local Walgreens that is couponer friendly. As long as I’m not trying to get money back on manufacturers coupons (I simply tell them up front if they’ll need to adjust it down) they’re good ;P
A great tip is to establish a “regular” day & time for your coupon shopping as you’ll likely encounter the same employees most weeks – they’ll get to know you and you can establish a good relationship with them. Also, another important tip – don’t be a shelf clearer! The reasons why shoppers hate shelf clearers is obvious – there will be no product on the shelves for us to buy. But store employees also hate it when people clear shelves because they’ll be the ones that have to break the bad news to the rest of us!! (I’ve even gone so far as to speak with the manager on duty when I’m in shopping and there are only 4 items on the shelf that I’d like to buy to ask when she expects to get more in – I told her they only have 4 and I don’t want to clear the shelf. I also explain that it’s a “hot deal” this week with coupons and she appreciates both the information and me not clearing the shelf and orders more that will come in mid-week. It’s gotten so that when I enter the store Sunday morning she asks me “So, what’s hot this week?” lol) Both these tips will go far in making your weekly trip go smoothly!

    • Michelle

I am so glad I got some of those a few weeks ago, because I was able to donate it to Joplin relief on monday

  28. Mike

Does anyone know what time RRs start printing at 24hour stores? 1am?

    • Stephanie

6am at the one i go to all the time

    • Derek

If there is a crazy great deal I go at 1 a.m…usually their systems reboot between 12 and 12:30, so 1:00 is a good buffer. However, the 24 hour store sometimes don’t have their prices updated until a few hours later, so unless it’s an awesome MM I will just go at 7 when it opens.

    • Shirl

RR’s should start printing after midnight. I just went and they printed with no problem. The only problem I did have is alot of the RR’s deals didn’t have the correct prices on the shelfs yet but before I rang up I had the cashier scan the item first…to make sure that the sale price rang up which it did…

  29. Norma

    Hello Collin!
Just wanted to say that you are one of my idols!

    • Veronica

I agree with you Norma, without Collin’s help I would not know as much as I do about coupons.

  30. Sarah

the free First aid bag when u buy two johnson and johnson products…is that a rebate? or do u just get the bag free at check out?

    • davis

The bag will ring up free when you checkout

      • Sarah

        Thanks so much!

  31. Marcy

Does anybody know the coupon code for the Walreens brand of diapers from the Infant Care Booklet?

    • Mandy

$2 off @ branch diapers code is 2844 – HTH

    • meganluvscoupons

I think you need just the last four numbers, but I’m not sure because my Wags wont enter it in like that. The numbers are 2844

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you so much! I have had both a cashier & manager enter just the code in the past. We will see how today goes. Things are usually different each time I visit Walgreens.

  32. Sandra Lee

My WAGS had 8 boxes of Crackerfuls. I had 2 $1.00 q’s and a $1/2 WAGs q. I bought 2 boxes tonight even though I knew I wouldn’t receive the RR because I would rather get 2 boxes for free (bought 2 boxes of Ecotrin with 2 $1.50 MFQ: 1.04 in overage applied towards Crackerfuls) instead of popping in tomorrow to find the shelves cleared.

  33. c

Does anyone have the code for the diapers in the Infant Care booklet $2/1?

    • Julie

      The code is 2844.

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I sent my poor husband to wags to get the crackerfuls because he was running out for a few things this a.m…. And the store isnt opening until 9!!

    • Julie

I did that too! 🙂 Poor hubby…and I better learn their hours!

  35. Fay

Okay, went to my local WalGreens last night and the people almost accused me of coupon fraud. They are saying that if you hit back space on your computer and print the second coupon from Coupons.com that you are doing it illegally. I said that you are allowed to print it twice but no more and that there is a different code in the right hand corner. They said it did not matter about that code because the UPC is the same. I said you mean if I buy 3 Sunday papers and the code is the same then I am doing something illegal. No comment on that. They also said that they are the only store that is doing this. How would you respond on this? They said it was because of the Extreme Coupioning show and that some people are copying the coupons as many times as they want. It hurts the people that go by the rules and that is what I told them.

    • Pam

actually, you don’t even have to hit the back button. You can go in again and click on the coupon once more time, and it will allow you to print another one. So, obviously Coupons.com is allowing you to print 2 of each coupon. After 2, it cuts you off for that particular coupon.

    • KimNell

I had the same experience at CVS last Sunday. I had 3 boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios and 3 coupons at .55 off. They would only take 1 because all 3 had the same UPC. They said it’s not a new rule however they had never reinforced it before and it was to prevent someone printing a gazillion coupons and redeeming them. I explained that the manufacturer lets you print 2 so why wouldn’t they at least honor 2 (the day before I bought 4 Aleve with same coupons). I also asked isn’t it about limiting quantities (which I understand) and not the duplicate UPC that is their issue?

I called their Customer Service line on Monday and they said they woudl call them and correct it and they had not heard of the rule before but then they stated “every store manager has the right….”

It seem like a direct result of that TV show and soemthing Colin should look into because now its CVS and Wags. Maybe we need to see some policy on this. Colin?

  36. Amber

Okay, I can’t find the Huggies Wipes deal in my Wags sales ad. Am I going crazy or is it not on sale this week??? I looked all over the add a hundred times and thought I was losing it.

    • kmay

You have probably found it by now but It is easy to pass up. It is on page 12 right by the walgreens diapers and right under the big package of huggie diapers and right above the similac formula coupon. It says sale :184 ct- 216 ct wipes $5.99

  37. Sandra

I purchased the Fusion razor last week. They had the bonus packs on the RR special. I purchased one that had a full can of Fusion shave cream and one that included two other shave products. Keep an eye out for the bonus packs, they print the RR too.

  38. Mallery

    1. The $5 Applied Nutrition coupon didn’t work for me.
    2. The stores here don’t carry crackerfuls so they have substituted Wheat Things and Ritz crackers for $2 with a $2 RR
    3. There is a $1 coupon for Applied Nutrition inside the calcium box.

I think that’s it from my trip this morning. And this is me in MI if that matters.

    • kelly f

The applied nutrition didn’t work for me either – the wags $5 coupon beeps and I was told that the calcium must not qualify as a supplement. No listerine whitening, no listerine smart rinse. But unlike others my store actually did have the ritz crackerfuls! Per their policy I was only allowed to buy one though… maybe that’s why they actually had stock! I did the first aid kit deal – inside are $2 off benadryl coupons which work great with CVS’ spend $7, get $3 back on the anti-itch products! (Of course I noticed this when I got home!)

    • Diane

I arrived at the store one hour after it opened. The crackerfuls were gone, and the clerk told me the store had received only 6 boxes and one woman bought all of them! My store wasn’t doing any type of substitution. The kid’s Aquafresh was also gone. (Aargh….that’s what I get for resetting my alarm clock and sleeping an extra hour!) I also tried to use the Applied Nutrtion coupon, but it beeped.

    • Deanna

Just got back and the Q beeped for me as well. They adjusted the price. Got 2 and made it a $10 MM and since i’m lactose intolerant i take calcium supplements so it was a win win! =)

    • Danielle

my store didn’t let the coupon for the calcium go through, they did have plenty of stock on the Ritz crackers though

  39. BROOKE

MY stores pull crackerfuls off shelf because under picture it in sale paper said no rr .

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My walgreens said I used to many coupons on my dove and I cant recieve my rr due to that. There is nothing in the coupon policy about that. Can I fight it?

    • A

Yes I would definitely fight that, there is nothing in the policy that states you cant use coupons on a deal to get rr back. My stores do military discounts and something just switched in the system making the RR not print on deals where you have to buy a certain quantity of items to get the rr ((it works perfectly fine with the discount on single item deals)). Anyway, I didnt know that it switched so when i did the Suave deal last week my RR didn’t print and the manager tried to tell me it was because I used coupons…ummm no! She gave me a form to mail in but after learning from a friend about the system switch I kindly took the form back to the store with my receipt and had her try everything (coupon deductions and all) without the military discount and it worked and my rr printed! The only reason your RR wouldnt print is if their machines are messed up, the items you got somehow werent in the sale, or the military discount type situation. HTH!

      • Clara

I had a really great cashier that told me when he uses his employee discount they can’t get the register reward so he only uses the discount on things that don’t get a RR. It seems like it’s the same thing for the military discount. Maybe just use the military discount on items that are just on sale and not the ones you are counting on a RR. 🙂

        • A

Yeah I think it does work pretty much the same with the military discount, at least recently it does in my area. A few weeks ago I never had a problem getting RR on deals with my military discount and the only extra thought I had to put into it was on deals like “spend $25 on Xproducts get $10rr back” because I’d have to take into account the discounted prices and add extra product to reach the total. Now when a deal says “Buy 4/$15” or something like that, the rr won’t print either, when it used to. It still works on single items (IE – the Icy Hot and Illy Coffee today), but I told them not to put in my military discount for the transaction where I did the Degree deal. The change doesnt bother me though…I look at it this way, the deals are awesome regardless of discount or not =D, anddddd less math I have to do when I’m trying to roll rr! hahaha

  41. jessejamesxxx

I got one box of the crackerfuls…What?! There is only 6 crackers in the box! Big crackers, but only 6. So don’t be upset if your store is out. They really aren’t even that good and they really aren’t free. You get the RR but have to buy something else later to redeem it.

  42. Dawn

I just bought my free Cottonelle wipes from a previous deal and I saw how expensive it was to get the refills. At Waglreens this week they are on sale for $2.99 Cottonelle flushable fresh wipes 84 count refill. I found a coupon for the Cottonelle flushable fresh wipes 84 count refill. It is $1/1 which makes it $1.99. It says you can only get one, but if you hit the back button it will print 2!. So you can get 168 wipes for $3.98! Go here https://www.cottonelle.com/coupons.aspx

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Dawn, remember that you can refill your Cottonelle wipe containers with almost ANY brand of flushable wipes (including flushable baby/toddler wipes)!. The Kandoo flushable wipes at Target are regularly around $1.12, and there are often $1 Qs for Kandoo. Target’s store brand of flushable toddler wipe is less expensive than Cottonelle, if you don’t have Qs. Both fit nicely inside the Cottonelle container.

  43. caseymg

I’m so disgusted with Walgreens. I won’t go back. I’ve tried 3 times to get a deal on the day it starts at the shelf was empty. Today I even went 1 minute after the doors opened–shelves empty. They aren’t even trying. Their signs are never correct. I’m done.

  44. Rachel C.

No Ritz at either one of my stores either. They said they weren’t even getting them and got a note from Ritz saying they’re sorry. I just don’t get how they can run ads for things they don’t even get in stock at all. Thank goodness Safeway had them buy one get one free so was able to use my coupons there before they expired.

  45. jessejamesxxx

What is the difference between shelf clearing and having a Walgreen’s that doesn’t prepare properly for a sale by only having 4 of an item? Am I a shelf clearer because I took the 4 items that they had?

    • caseymg

No you aren’t a clearer if they don’t stock properly. I used to think shelf clearing was a problem, but when you go at opening time and there’s nothing there to begin with we can see the true problem. It irritates me to no end that I finally try getting up and going early and nothing is there. Why even advertise??

    • Jana

@Jessejamesxxx-EXACTLY!! My local store gets most of the items for the sale starting on Sunday, on the FOLLOWING Thursday. If they only get one in, and I buy it, I don’t consider myself a “shelf clearer” Even if they only have 4 and I buy 4, of a needed item. If I need 10 of a product for whatever reason (family, church, friends) I get 10. If it is something I would buy multiples of w/ or w/out a coupon, I don’t consider myself a “shelf clearer”. Besides, you never know why people are “clearing the shelf”, they may have a larger family than yours, or there may be a special need for that particular product (ladies in the military love the black scrunchies that were on sale w/ a RR last week). Just my thoughts…..

Darn A.D.D. – Ladies in the military love the black scrunchies that were on sale w/ a RR last week so I probably bought more than others to put in the care packages I send out through http://www.anysolider.com

No ritz crackerfuls at my store either. BUT I went to walmart and they are priced at 2.78 and I price matched it to the 2$ at walgreens AND then they let me price match it to 1.50 b/c walgreens has a 1/2 in the sunday paper so I was able to get each box for 1.50$-1$ coupons so .50 a box. I tried them and I liked them(but I also am a fan of ritz) and they would be great for my husband to take to work for a quick snack during his 12 hour shift.

My store was substituting triscuits, wheat thins, or regular ritz crackers for the crackerfuls that were not in stock. A $2 RR printed and they were on sale for $2 as well.

Computer beeped on the ICY Hot coupon since it’s $1 but the ICY HOT is $0.99. But then instead of adjusting the price down, Walgreens would not accept the ICY HOT coupon because the picture on the coupon showed the patches, but it’s the cream that’s on sale. The coupon says ANY ICY HOT, but they still refused to accept it . DUH! Walgreens gives nothing but trouble on coupons.

mine beeped too, but the manager adjusted it down for me no problem. the cashier first tried to tell me it beeped because of the size. but i showed her there was no size restriction and that it did say any icy hot product, then told her i thought it was beeping because of the penny, the manager overhead and said i was right and then he took care of the rest of my order with no problems. he said that he doesn’t understand why the walgreens computers give them such a hard time with coupons. he’s really coupon friendly though! my RR didnt print and when i said something he just rang it all up again on a different register gave me the RR. turns out the first register’s printer was broken.
