If you have a Thomas the Train fan in your house, you may want to get in on this deal at Kids.Woot!  Today only, Kids.Woot is offering up what seems to be a great deal on the Thomas the Engine Knapford Station Wooden Railroad Set for only $59.99 + $5 shipping!  Thomas the Train products tend to be on the expensive side and it seems there are rarely significant discounts on them in-store (this same set sells for $109.99 on Amazon), so this seems to me like a pretty great deal!

Just head on over here and click on the yellow “I want One!” link and log in (or register) to snag yours!  You can even purchase up to 3 sets at the same price and pay a flat-rate of only $5 for shipping!  To snag more than one set, be sure to change the amount by clicking the “I want 2″ or “I want 3″ tab at top during the check-out process.

Thomas branded merchandise is expensive but it holds up. I have 2 boys who are extremely rough on their toys and we have yet for their wooden railway or trains to get broken. And it offers hours and hours of entertainment! Good find!

Does anyone know if the IKEA wooden tracks fit with the Thomas wooden tracks? We have a basic set from IKEA…and would love to use it as an “expander” to this great Thomas set.

Yes, I believe the IKEA train sets are interchangeable with them.

They fit, however they need to be forced sometimes so tricky for young ones. Also, the IKEA bridges/tunnels are not tall enough for the Thomas trains to go under. We still play with them together though.

Thank you! My 3 year old is obsessed with Thomas but it is so expensive. This will for sure be a great Christmas gift for him. I wooted! 😉

The Ikea set is just okay. I bought the Ikea set b/c I hate trademark stuff and so hoped to not get involved in Thomas. After buying the Ikea set, I quickly realized you get what you pay for. My son gets so frustrated with the set b/c the tracks do not match up properly and other trains do not fit the tracks well. We have decided to give him a Thomas set for his 2nd b-day. AC Moore carries Thomas the Train and I never buy a piece unless I have a 50% coupon. Even better is when they are marked 50% off and you have a 20% off your purchase to add to it. I recently purchased him a set that included track, several trains and Cranky the Crane, a 47 piece set if I remember correctly. It was originally 179.99 on clearance for 49.99 and I had a 10.00 off coupon from my AC Moore rewards. We have managed to buy enough pieces for him over the months, for very little money in terms of Thomas the Train, that he will have a set similar to what you see on the big displays in stores. I have also been lucky enough to score brand new pieces off of EBay for very little.
