UPDATE: I just received the following email from Little Birdie- We are thrilled you have posted our deal on your site & would like to clear up any confusion. The offer is still up & if new users purchase through the referral link, they should be receiving a $10 credit to be applied to their purchase (just as you originally posted). Unfortunately it looks like that functionality is not working correctly some of the time. We are investigating the issue and will be fixing it as soon as possible. If anyone is due money, they will receive it in the form of a refund. We apologize for any inconvenience and will let you know when we have any further update.

OT -Did anyone ever get the Ruby Tuesday gift card from the deal a while back? I never did! 🙁

  2. Suzanne

I just sent this to someone that I wanted to send something to for Father’s Day. Someone I wanted to let know I am thinking about them but I didn’t want to spend a ton of $ and they are hard to shop for. Food is always perfect for him and this is a great gift for very little OOP! Perfect timing – Thanks!

Shop at home is offering 7.5% cash back – I don’t know if that applies to shipping or not.

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It keeps telling me to fill in the required fields. I do not know what I am doing wrong. Very frustrating.

  4. Mo

ugh – I’m on the fence… I know I’ll need something like this for the office or librarians at school this winter – but I’m not sure if it’s a good idea or not. What if they sell a ton of these and run out of anything in the same price range around the winter holidays? … hmmm… any Hipsters want to weigh in? LOL

    • Carrie

One of our clients always sends us cookies from David’s and I believe they are sold via QVC, so I think they are actually a pretty big company, if that helps at all.

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Good deal! 🙂

  6. eldevane

I have a question. Are you shipping the cookie tins to the Fathers house or are you shipping an actual giftcard and they have to go purchase it themselves!?

  7. Kim

I did this and after I confirmed payment, it says $12. Anyone else?

    • Liz

There’s a spot on the top right of the page to put in your email and zip code. That’s all I did to “sign up” and then the credit appeared before I actually put in my credit card and info.

      • Kim

Same for me. It showed $2 as my balance until I confirmed payment. Then switched to $12 and receipt says $12. 🙁

        • Liz

I just checked my credit card and they did that to me too! That’s a rip off. I wouldn’t have bought it if it was $12. How do we cancel it?

          • Tee

Whoa just noticed it after coming here 🙁 I already redeemed my voucher but that really sucks

          • mada

  9. Laura

When I looked up David’s cookies reviews, I got a free shipping code of GFREES not sure if it can be used with this offer but thought I’d put it out there for someone to try

  10. Katie

Worked fine for me. I just purchased it, my total was $2, and I checked my card and it was only charged $2.

  11. Shannon

By 8:30 this am they have the sign up “THEY HIT THE LIMIT” of this offer… 🙁

  12. Carrie

Says it’s all sold out–BUT not until you waste time putting in your info.

  13. Casey

    Just purchased mine…..about 5 minutes ago-worked fine 🙂 Also checked w/ the bank..And was only charged 2 bucks……Ty Collin 🙂

  14. Maria

I had just tried to place the order with Little Birdie before you crossed it off. It read $2.00, then “confirm”, and when I proceeded to complain it charged the $12.00. I will definitely go to Facebook and post a complaint. I guess they ignored “Hip2Save” discount, Little Birdie lousey website. I’ll make sure to cancel if they won’t honor the $2.00 buy.

  15. Jerenda

Mine worked just fine and I paid only $2 for the deal. i already placed my order through David’s cookies and bought the 2lb cookies for $33.95 with free shipping. After the $25 certificate my order came to $8.95. Great deal for Father’s Day!

  16. Christina

I just order the voucher and was only charged $2 for the deal, maybe they have realized their goof and are in the process of fixing it.

  17. Ashley M

I just purchased this for 2.00! Seems they have fixed the issue 🙂 Double checked my debit card info online and it was 2.00! What a WONDERFUL gift!

  18. Collin

    Hi Guys!

If you experienced issues with your purchase this morning, check out the email that I just received from Little Birdie:

So if the company charged us 12.00 dollars on our card and we still havent recieved a 10.00 refund should we wait to order the cookies or can we go ahead and order them and they will still refund the 10.00 dollars to my card??

    • Emily

So can I use the gift certificate and they will refund me the $10 to my credit card or should I wait to use it? I was planning on using it for Father’s Day. . .

      • Collin

I just emailed Little Birdie with your question and here is the response that I got back:

Your readers can go ahead and use their voucher codes if they like & as soon as we have a resolution to the issue they will get a $10 refund to their credit card, if applicable. Or they can wait if they prefer & use the voucher any time before the expiration date.

        • Emily

Ok! Thank you!!! That “if applicable part” scares when me they add that in there! I followed all the rules and I am sure everyone else on here did as well!! Hopefully everyone this happened to will get a refund!! 🙂

    • Emily

I have the same question.. it did the same to me.. Did you ever get an answer to this???

    • Collin

  20. Amanda

Do you think this deal can be combined with the promo code “DAD5” which gives you $5.00 off a 34.99+ purchase and free shipping?? Or can you only use the certificate from little birdie??

  21. Maria

I just checked my credit card online and it still says $12.00, not $2.00.

I tried calling customer service twice this morning, and no one has returned my call. Is this possibly a one person operation? I’m really discouraged with their response.

    • Kim Barnes

Not thrilled with their service either. I sent one email, left one voicemail and tried calling back again and no response. Won’t be ordering from them again…

  22. Amanda

just an added bonus, ebates is offering 7.5% off Davids cookies! 🙂

  23. Shirley

I should have known than to pull the trigger on this one. I too have been charged $12! Ugh! I’m sure this is Little Birdie’s fault, but Davids is notorious for problem ordering & customer service (not bashing…just sayin) . Although their products are great quality & delicious, their prices are exorbitant (imo). I always purchase their products through QVC during special holiday shows, at a MUCH lower price than ordering from them online & I don’t have to go through the headache of dealing with David’s directly. I leave that up to QVC. Lesson learned.

  24. Maria

    Collin
Thanks for replying to my message. yes, I saw the note they sent you. I had called twice today, clearly leaving my home number, and what I was complaining about, that was around 10:00 AM this morning. Then I posted a message on Facebook about my complaint, and I emailed my complaint, they ignored all my messages, haven’t heard anything from them.

Is it just one person operating this business? I guess they’re not going to honor the discount you posted.

I am really disappointed with this company, I think they’re based in Atlanta, GA

  25. jessica

I was only charged $2.00 at 10:50 pm

  26. tess

i’m hoping for the 10.00 refund- i was also charged 12.00-ugh.

did you get all your 10.00 credit from us buying the deal?

  27. Cindy

I was also charged 2.00, so I guess they did fix the problem. I’m sorry everyone else had a problem. Mine was fine. In fact very easy.

  28. Liz

Two voicemails and one email later and I have yet to hear from them. They charged my cc $12.00 even after it said $2.00 right before I hit the purchase button. I am hoping that someone returns my call or answers my voicemail because the fact they haven’t makes me skeptical that they will refund my $10.00. What a hassle…

  29. Kim

Still haven’t gotten my $10 refunded but they have said several times on their Facebook page that they will “make this right” and will refund the $10 if it is due. It is really disheartening, however, that they haven’t contacted everyone directly and we’ll wait and see. If they don’t reverse it to a $2.00 charge, I’ll file a dispute through my bank.

  30. michelle

I also was charged $12.00 even though it said $2.00 when I hit the submit button.I am on the phone with my credit card co and it is showing a $12.00 charge. I bought the deal to try Davids cookies not to be overcharged.

  31. Rachael

Has anyone heard back from this company? I have sent 2 emails and 1 phone call, I was charged $12 to my debit card today.

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just got an e-mail from the company that said to check my card b/c the $10 had been returned. Check your cards!

  33. Kim Barnes

Still have gotten no answers from these people. I just sent a message to Collin to see if she could talk to them and get some answers. It is funny that they offer a $10 coupon to have everyone try using their deal website but then when everyone tries it, they fumble things so badly, I don’t think anyone would ever use them again.

  34. mala

Just checked my credit card balance and finally saw the $10 refund. Finally they did the right thing. thanks to you all who put the pressure on them.

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

As a person who works in a bank….these things happen everyday. You would seriously be shocked how much things get messed up (you would probably start keeping you money in your mattress :), but people are just never aware of it. All it takes is your computer to be in a bad mood for one minute to give you a headache for the rest of the week. I will give little birdie a second chance. They made it right in the end…it just took a little patience.

  36. Maria

I got an email from Little Birdie, they said they were overwhelmed with calls and are trying to call back customers who signed up for this deal, and yes, they mentioned the $10 credit back to my credit card, so I’ll just stick with this deal and see what happens. I don’t know if I’d use Little Birdie again.

  37. Kim Barnes

My money is back. Thanks, Collin!

  38. Maria

I checked my credit card account online today, and Little Birdie DID credit back the $10.00 to my account, only charging $2.00 for David’s Cookies, just like they said they would. I’m sure with everyone trying to get in on this deal it was a real mess to sort out.
