It is a sad day in the Morgan household as it is finally time to put my much beloved coupon bag to rest. I have been sitting here clipping and organizing coupons in preparation for the Hip2Help Tour and as I went to place my coupon binder in my bag, I heard a horrible ripping sound (see the sad picture above). :(

With that being said, I need your help. Do you have the perfect “hip” coupon binder tote or bag?! Please share in the comments! Thanks so much!

I used a bag from aeropostale that works great and fits my wallet with my 20 lb. binder! It was normally $39, but they are having a huge clearance sale right now so I only paid $7!

  • Tammy Ayala says:

I purchased a business bag from Staples. It zips all the way down the sides, hold a netbook and files! It’s the “Traveling Franklin Covey”. I also got it 50% off! So, originally $100, I got if for only $49.99!
    Love it!

  • Tamara says:

Okay I have a great one for you, I just bought the case logic binder with a strap, it has 2 3 ring prongs on each side. I use one side for non ediable things and the other for food. I also have 3 additional folders with prongs, one for Target (it’s red) one for Publix (it’s green) and one for all other store specific coupons (it’s pink ). Anyway I only bring those folders in when I am shopping at those stores. But what I love about the case logic binder is, it has a strap and you can carry it like a purse. I found them at Office Max ($ 23) and at Target (19.19).
Another idea I have to share is my scissor holder, I bought one of those spiral key chains the straight ones that have the clip on the end, I added a carabiner to the ring side and clip my scissors right into my binder. If I don’t I will leave them in the car ect. So this way I know it is attached and accessible when I need it.. I consider it one of my Brain Busters :)

  • Rachel says:

They still have the same bag for sale at my Target in Florida. Maybe you’ll be lucky and find one in your area. :)

  • Katie says:

Oh no Collin! I was in Goodwill last week and saw this purse but they were asking 20 bucks for it and since I knew it came from Target I knew you probaly got it cheaper than that. Boo I would have picked it up for you if I knew this was going to happen to your beloved purse…
I am the crazy lady who found a purse I loved, waited for them to be clearanced at Target for $3 a peice and then went and bought all the ones at local stores so I have a new purse for life! Crazy thing is I am still on the first one though.

  • Sally says:

I think the “Vera” bag by Vera Bradley would make a great binder bag. You could use it for a lot of other things too.

  • Shelley says:

Oh my Gosh, thisis so funny. I have this exact same bag, and the EXACT same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, in the exact same spot, etc. I was laughing at your picture (sorry) and he walked by and asked why I posted my bag on line. We were cracking up when I told him it was not mine. They do have them at our Target right now so I am going to try and return it since I have only had it a few weeks and just started using it.

    • Carol says:

I haven’t read all the other comment to see if this is common with this bag, but the same happened to mine! The rip just started and I have a few safety pins holding it together right now. The big split is about to happen! Also the pleather is coming apart on the handle where it goes over my shoulder. I guess it wasn’t designed to hold so much!
      Cute bag though…

    • Jess says:

Mine did the SAME THING!!! I only had it a week and I ended up returning it without any problems..

  • Sarah says:

http://www.stylinbinders.com/ They will customize one for you! You can even pick your own fabric and send it to them or choose on of theirs. This is the best purchase I have made!

  • Christy says:

I love the Coach laptop bag!!

  • Wendi says:

Gosh Collin…the very first video I watched on your website was of how you organized your binder and the great holder from Target….I sort of feel like you should have some sort of memorial service for it-Like a dear friend has passed on :(

    • Jennifer G. says:

Could you tell me the title of that video? I just recently found Hip2Save, and just started couponing as well. I love the idea of “hiding” your binder…i’ve already been stared at in the stores.

  • Barbara says:

Maybe you can take it to a shoe guy and he can sew it for you. It probably won’t cost that much to fix it and it will be good as new.

  • Leslie says:

I know you’re not a Vera Bradley fan..but the “tote” in Vera Bradley fits a binder perfectly. The new fall colors arrive soon and the Mocha Rouge color is gorgeous!

  • cynthsherm says:

I use the medium thermal picnic tote from thirtyone gifts. It is thermal, so if I pick up some cold stuff and need to continue my shopping, I can replace my binder with the cold products. II have a 4″ binder, and it fits perfectly…with room for my wallet, netbook, and cell phone. Plus there is an outside pocket. You have a choice of many different fabrics. I have mine monogrammed with my blog “logo.” It’s perfect, and multi-functional!

  • Anonymous says:

sorry to hear that your binder bag broke…hope you can get a new one to replace it.

  • Fran says:

If you don’t know about Thirty-One, now is the time to check it out. Seriously, I LOVE couponing and I LOVE Thirty-One. The products are amazing (Lord Almighty knows how I love their products!) I used their Organizing Utility tote , Cindy tote, and their Metro Retro bag for carrying my binder (I like to change out my bags a lot!!) – and it weighs a ton (my binder) – almost 15lbs! I might as well be carrying around another three month old! LOL – Yes, as most of you know, shopping with little ones can be challenging – how can I fit the carrier AND all of my awesome deals in this cart??! http://www.mythirtyone.com/shop/productdetail.aspx?prod=3105

  • erky says:

OH NO!! Check out my website: http://www.mythirtyone.com/ericabyman

  • kristy says:

I use a reusable bag from Edenfantasys.com. http://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-toy-accessories/sex-toy-storage/edenfantasys-tote-bag I have only used it for a few weeks but so far so good. Might be a little risky for most but it works. lol I also am the Giveaway coordinator for http://www.fabulousdailydeals.com if there are any 31 reps that would like to host a giveaway please let me know! We would be happy to have you.

  • Jenni says:

Well I must confess a few things….I am one of those that purchased your beloved bag at Target and I haven’t used it yet. I also agree that you should take it back to Target and see if they will exchange it. I can’t even imagine how many people have bought this b/c of your recommendation. Target “owes” you a new one for the business you have given them. I also must confess, as a nurse, I have a concern over germs and their friends. I am leaning more and more away from “cloth” ANYTHING. (And I have always liked Vera Bradley, 31Gifts etc.) If I am going to be throwing a bag on a floor /in a shopping cart/in and out of different places (like ball fields)…..I want to be able to take a Clorox wipe or something to it and clean it up. You really can’t clean cloth things as quickly and easily. Your “beloved” bag really is convenient and easy to maintain. If they won’t give you a new one we will all write letters to Target!! And I, too, will send you the one I have (tags still attached and all!).

  • Tracy says:

Oh no! My Target still has this bag if you want another one.

  • Rachel says:

I use the Thirty One Organizing Utility Tote, I has the pockets around the sides and also the straps are at perfect length.I have had is for 6 months now and have not complained yet. People always comment on my Coupon Bag. $22.00 extra $6.00 to personalize, and the special this month is for every $10.00 you spend you get 31% off a item from their new Fall line personalization does count.

  • Jenny says:

I use the organizing utility tote from thirty-one. Which you can pick your own pattern and get it personalized. It fits the binder great and has pockets for your cell wallet and car keys. I love it! Good luck!

  • I am 31 consultant and my friends and I use the Organizing Utility Tote that 31 has. It comes in 9 different prints and is only $22. It has lasted me forever. you can view it at http://www.mythirtyone.com/57080

P.S. We met you at PetCo during your pet food drive for the Hip2Help tour, and I was carrying my binder in one then.

  • CHRISTY says:

I use the organizing utility tote from Thirty One Gifts!! It works GREAT!!

  • Bev says:

This is what I have, and I absolutely LOVE it!!! – coupon binder/bag all wrapped up in one :) It has a shoulder strap too. http://www.caseit.com/caseit/eproddetail.asp?S=125&P=7916&PubID=4459&V=25&PID=6461&iss=

  • super cheapo says:

i’m really cheap compared to some of these ladies..i just use my resuable tote with my cvs green tags on them..some of the bring your ownbrand bags are big enough tohold my binder!
i’ve only had one brake so far and as much as my binder and filed coupons weighs I’m thinking of getting a backpack!! :0) Diaper bags work great too!

  • Suzanne says:

I bought that bag at Target and mine did the same thing – the sides ripped open @ the seams. I have gone to a canvas bag that I got on sale from Lands End – I think it’s the large size – medium would work but they didn’t have that size at the time. It’s not the most beautiful thing – kind of plain but it’s super durable – I know it’s going to last forever – and I can wash it!

  • Tina Jansen says:

Try the Coupon Magic binder–search online for coupon magic binder. It’s a regular binder, with material on sides and straps–it velcros to close and there are little pockets for a calculator, etc. Then you fill with your normal baseball card inserts–Love it!

  • Erin says:

the medium purse from thirty one gifts is perfect for coupon binders! My neighbor and I both use it!

  • Jennifer says:

I ordered a coupon binder with a case sewn around it to look like a purse. It is great and has extra pockets for my money, receipts, and scissors.

  • Jennifer Norris says:

Uggghhhh! I had to lay my bag to rest last night also!!!! Luckily I found a temporary one yesterday in a consignment shop……on a mission for the “perfect” bag!!

  • Val says:

I don’t use a binder. I use check files. One for HBA, one for food and one for cleaners/laundry etc. I put them in the thirty-one all in one file tote. Works great, looks purselike so I don’t get the hairy eyeball from others. I slip my little Vera Bradley wristlet in the side pocket and I am ready to save big bucks!!!!

  • Carol says:

When I went to look for my “coupon binder purse” at Target I saw yours there!! It wasn’t on sale at the time, $39.99, but it was there :) This was maybe 2 weeks ago. Go check your Target! :)

  • Amanda says:

I purchased from a thirty-one party a utility organizing tote for $22. I also had it personalized with “Coupon Diva” on it for an extra $6. Love the bag fits not only my big binder but has 5 pockets on the outside which I keep a waterbottle, calculator and some other things in. Plus they have such cute patterns to pick from. If you decide to go that route go to http://www.mythirtyone.com/stacy431
Hope you find something that fits your needs!

  • Carey says:

My hubby got his frome case it.com I believe he posted about it on his blog http://www.kd7srd.blogspot.com He loves it. It holds so many coupons.

  • Jessica says:

I use an Envirosax Sling Sax for my coupon binder, wallet, etc.

  • Tina says:

I haven’t tried it yet but I think the binder may fit in one of the Miche big bags. What’s nice if it works is that you can change the style (cover) whenever you want.

    • Hope says:

Yes it will fit in the Miche Big Bag! And like she said, you can change the shell for a different look! I’m a rep in East Texas

  • mary says:

target is a place to go. head straight to the clearance section i’m sure you’ll find a special bag for your coupon binder.

  • carey says:
