Cant his be combined with a manufactures q?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks…was just going to ask that!

      • Missie

Yes. It can be combined with a mq. If you know of one, please share where to find it.

        • Angie

If you purchased any of the Charmin, Pampers or Bounty packages that have the $30 in coupons in them, then you’ll have $1 off any Charmin. Makes them $.23 a roll! Plus, this is the paper we like since it’s single ply and we have a bad clogging problem in our rental. It’s the only single ply I buy!

        • Tina

Use the P&G June 2011 insert’s .25 cents/1 Charmin manufacturer coupon to bring the price down even further! I got mine today using: 1) 15% off 1 item Q, 2) $5 Staples rewards that was sent to me via email 3) .25 cents/1 manufacturer coupon. Remember: At staples, you need to use the store Qs FIRST before manufacturer coupons INCLUDING the Staples Rewards.

          • Miriam

Yes! I learned this the hard way and so did the cashier. Voiding the whole thing is a pain at Staples. CORRECT ORDER: I bought 4 packs and they took the 15% off and my Staples Rewards of $14 (either one can come first). THEN, the manufacturer coupons come since it’s a form of payment. I had two $1/2 Charmin products from the 6/5 PG. I paid $3 for four packs since I had returned a bunch of old ink cartridges a couple months ago. THANK YOU COLLIN!

    • Lori

The fine print of the 15% off coupon says, “Each item purchased can only be discounted by one coupon, applied by the cashier in the order received …” To me, that means that the 15% off coupon cannot be combined with a manufacturers coupon on the same product. I’ll be watching to see if anyone is able to combine the 15% off with a manufacturer’s coupon.

      • Missie

That means by only one store coupon. The $3.00 off any purchase coupon that was out earlier said the same thing, but we were allowed to use the mq on items purchased.

      • Tina

You can combine it and I was checked out by a very very scrutinizing cashier too who reads EVERYTHING including whether or not I already used the 15% off coupon today since it says 1 per customer per day.

  3. Jennifer J

If you are a Staples Rewards member CHECK YOUR EMAIL! on 6/28 I received a “bonus” reward worth $5.00 (in store only). Good thru 7/30. And I don’t shop that much at Staples. I see free tp!!!

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow! Gotta get down to staples soon! Thanks!

  5. Rachael

Yay! I have $6 in Staples rewards, and we are getting low on toilet paper! Collin, you’re the best and have literally saved my family thousands. Thanks for all you do 🙂

  6. Jenn

Keep your eyes peeled for some free $5 Staples rewards coming in your email, if you are a Rewards member. I’m not sure why I got it or how many people they are sending it to, but it came yesterday. Woohoo–free toilet paper!! We like Charmin Basic–not bad for a single ply paper!

  7. Sheila

Is this something we could price match at walmart?

    • vicki

you can match the sale price of $4.99 from their ad but you wont get the extra 15% off at any walmart i know of.

  8. Jessica

Okay, can someone explain to me how toilet paper sizes go?? Does is it go regular, big, double and mega roll? Or is it regular, double, big and then mega? I know its a crazy question, but I have go to know! :o)

    • vicki

it seems to depend on the brand in some cases. your order looks right to me but you really have to look at the cost/sheet to get a real idea of value and savings. i started doing this once a couple years ago to comparison shop more wisely and well, i didn’t stick with it cause brands tend to have Big at one store and Mega at another etc…frustrating.
i think i read someone’s target price list once that said they thought $.25/reg roll and therefore $.50/double was a good price to aim for but i don’t know if that’s right, someone who has a better grasp may need to pipe in here.

      • Jessica

        Thank you!

    • Tracy

      Toilet paper sizes go from:
      AhChoo
      Uh-oh
      mega Uh-oh
and Oh shoot, I just pooped my pants

      • yangzi

        ROFL!!

    • Jessica

      Beth.. thanks so much!

  9. candice

how is the quality of “basic” compared to the “ultra soft” version?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

would also like to know…my husband is very picky when it comes to TP 🙂

    • Kelli Miller

I bought a bunch of “basic” a couple of weeks ago and won’t buy it again, it’s hardly soft at all to me.

    • Rebecca

We usually use the ultra soft too. I bought the basic when it was on sale once and wasn’t happy with it (hubby wouldn’t use it, lol). Won’t be buying the basic again.

    • yangzi

I only buy “Basic” for Charmin since any other Charmin are too soft for us. DH and I don’t like “too soft” TP. Moreover, other kinds of Charmin tend to clog our toilet easily. I think they are too “thick” for our toilet. We LOVE our Charmin Basic.

    • Julieanne28

I have purchased the basic on sale in the past if we were in a pinch. It isn’t as strong or plush as the other Charmin’s but it is better than any other 1-ply I have ever bought. I also felt like I was changing the roll every day. I just purchased a mega roll package (equals 96 regular rolls) from Amazon using subscribe & save for $24 shipped. That may be a little higher than the deals we can get in-store but when you factor in gas & time saved it is worth it to me.

  10. gaspitsnoel

Does Walmart take online print out of store ads like the one Collin posted? I really would like to save a trip to Staples since Walmart is closer.

    • vicki

      mine won’t…maybe call ahead?

  11. Carrie

Thanks for the heads up on the $5 email coupon; I just printed it.

  12. niki

i am a staples reward member but i havent got any $5 bonus reward?

    • Jenn

      Me either. 🙁

      • erinlenore

Be sure that you are registered for the promotional emails; I am a rewards member but did not receive this email, so I double-checked by logging into my staples.com account & sure enough I was not subscribed. Click on my account at the top of the screen, click on personal information, and then where it says “Receive special savings by email” click subscribe 🙂 hope that helps!

  13. darlingsilver

I am not seeing this deal on their website? Is it just in certain locations does anyone know?

    • yangzi

I got an email with TP deal from Staples either today or yesterday.

  14. Maria G

I didn’t get one 🙁 and I have been with them for 25 years, bummer. I hope I still get it.

  15. karen

This coupon would have been amazing! I love getting my favorite products especially with coupons.

  16. Carol W

TY! I knew there had to be a paper deal to go with the coupon that came out. I may just try this stuff. My husband complains our employees spend too much time in the bathroom so maybe if the accomodations aren’t so nice they won’t linger….kind of like the thought that if you have too nice of a guest room your houseguests will never leave!

  17. Elaine

Thanks for the head’s up. I did not even pay attention to the email. I am gonna go today! Thanks

  18. cristywisty

I usually buy costco TP… anyone know how this compares — quality wise?

  19. amc

i called my local staples and it is not in store. she thinks it is online only.

    • Toni S.

The email I got said it was a monthly deal, good in store only.

  20. Emmes

It isn’t online only .. I called mine (I live in Indiana) and they had them right by the front door. It is best to call, though .. ; ) I just picked up (2) my friend bought one with HER coupon and I used my 15% as well .. so (2) packages! I didn’t know the Basic was 1-ply, but for this cheap, you can’t beat the price. The packages were smaller than I imagined, though.

Also, I saw a 6 pack of the Charmin ULTRA for $4.09, so getting 16 rolls for $4.27 made me feel REALLY good!! Thanks Collin!

  21. NOTW

    LOVE DEAL…THANKS FOR UPDATES!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. NOTW

    GREAT …THANKS FOR UPDATE

  23. trish

i DONT know if this is legit or not ,im trying to find out
but there is a top rated seller on ebay that has the 5/5 coupon for staples for 1.99
it says its pdf which would mean u can print as many as you want right?
im not really sure if its safe or not anyone know??

they have over 500+ reviews and 100% feedback for that coupon

think its a good idea? i’d love to get free tp!

  24. Emily

There is a .25 off coupon from the P&G brandsaver making these $3.99. 🙂

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went and got the deal. Used a $1/1 Charmin and the 15% so came out to $3.76 (plus tax). I also got some 50 count sandwich bags on clearance for 50 cents (not super good but pretty good). They had lots of stuff on clearance for housekeeping items.

I did not get the $5 off coupon either :(. However went to a local Amish store going out of business 🙁 🙁 and got 4 pounds of Amish candy for $1. This I will freeze and use for lunches in the fall. Good little treat.

  26. lynne ATL

I just found the coupon in my email but mine was $10 but phone and on-line only so no TP using this for me since TP is instore only.

    • lynne ATL

forgot to say, $10 off $75 on cleaning and breakroom

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Ok, just want to say- call your store ahead of time and make sure they are aware of this sale. I went to mine and the sale sign said $8.99. I asked the associates to check online for me but they said it was not on sale. Got home to an email stating that this was in fact on sale for $4.99. I had to take in the printed email for them to honor this price. Also- the 15% is only good on one item. So, if you purchase several- you will only get discounted on one item. Did not know staples accepted man coupons… so lost out a bit there. Does anyone know if I take my receipt in, along with the coupons if they would give me back the difference in cash since I paid in cash? I got 10 of them since we were out entirely, so using the coupons- I should be due $5 back. Anyone have an answer for me?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

At my store, the sign on the shelf said $8.99. I took it up to the register, and had the cashier scan it. It rang up $4.99, so even if the sign on the shelf says $8.99, take it to the register and have them scan it. The toilet paper should ring up $4.99

      • Tina

Yes, the toilet paper will ring up. Even more store did not have the correct priced advertised. It still said $8.99 even though it rings up with the sale price of $4.99.

    • Tina

They might do a price modification and issue you a refund in Staples rewards or whatever payment you used (in this case cash). YLMV.

    • Venus

      Staples deal

  28. dimie d

i just got mine at the store. after 15% coupon, the total rang up $4.58
    if you want the exact breakdown;
    4.99
    -.75(15% coupon)
    +.34 tax (8% in TX)
    4.58

    hth 😛

  29. Karin

If you are a teacher or lucky enough to have gotten one – I know I have a $10 off of $30 from Office Max that could be used with this deal. Although I need to stock up on TP that’s a LOT of TP!! LOL 😉

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Woohoo! Bought 6 Charmin and 2 scotch tapes used competitors $10 off of $30 (teacher Q), 2 $2Q and 2 $1Q – made scotch tape free 🙂 – paid with tax in Cali $17.86 soooo for 96 double rolls of charmin that works out to 19 cents per roll!! 🙂 I won’t need to buy TP for quite awhile LOL 🙂 Thanx Colin

  30. Yamily

is the $5 email coupon a one time only coupon?

    • trish

i actually bought the coupon and used it today i paid 1.99 for it and the tp came out to 32 cents (might be because i made 2 copies) anyhow the girl i got it from said it was a one time use but i still have the coupon but im scared to try and reuse anyone else know??

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just checked my email and I got a 20% off any one item exp 7/2 Looks like Charmin just droped to $3.75 for me

    • amber

yah i didnt get the $5 off but i got the same email u did on 7/1 for a 20% off one item good til today.
