I have a subscription and I buy 3 Early Sunday editions on Saturdays. They are only 75 cents ea. I have had only one weekend that they didn’t include all the Sun. coupons.

It’s the saturday Star Tribune paper, but its called the Early Sunday edition on the front page. Depending on the area you live in, you may not get all the coupons you should be, for example, in the Fargo area, we get our papers shipped from out of town due to lack of coupon inserts in the papers that are professionally driven here.

Has anyone vetted this offer out to see if it is valid? The link to register (and give your CC info) does not appear to be affiliated with the Star Tribune at all. It is just a google doc/spreadsheet. I’m hesitant to give out info on a simple on-line form that could be from a third party.

The Star Tribune hires out companies to do their direct sales. I contract for a company called Face To Face Solutions (www.facetofacesolutions.org). You can check it out if you want. We offer these subscriptions to my coupon classes that I teach in the Twin Cities all the time.

Our local paper..for at least 4 years now has outsouced their subscription department to Philipines. Mind you ..you call they don’t have a strong accent. But there is some accent detected.. I find it hard to take care of business with foreign countries. I always ask them “what country is your call center in?”. I addressed this with local paper..they told me it had been outsourced many years ago.. oh well nothing I can do..would like to give my business to the US citizens that work and pay taxes. Does the Star Tribune outsource to foreign countries that you know of? thnx..

So, does this mean you can purchase this subscription even if you don’t live in the state? Or is it just outside that 13 county area? I was just curious because I live in Indiana. Are these inserts any good? I get the Indianapolis Star (which is 1 million times better than Fort Wayne’s Journal Gazette), but it doesn’t carry the RedPlum insert anymore. Such a bummer

Please let me know as well, I am in south Central Indiana, and my papers dont always have the same inserts that it seems the rest of the country gets, heck I’d even be happy to buy the papers for a retirement community or someone that would use the papers themselves if I could just have the inserts mailed to me!
My choices are the republic, which is out of Columbus, Indiana, or the Star out of Indy, or the Courier Journal out of Louisville. but I can never seem to find the later 2.

I’m confused. The 26 week deal is $38 but it should be $32.50 (the deal for new subscribers). Is that a typo? The Early Sunday Edition of the Trib comes out on Saturday but includes all the inserts.

I just want to make a clarification for anyone that might understand this wrong like I did. The post says, “Current and New subscribers can add up to 3 more additional subscriptions to their account as detailed below * Sunday Only $2.25/wk ($11.25 will be charged to your CC every 5 weeks until you wish to cancel) = $10 Gift Card with subscription” Even after calling to clarify I still understood this deal to be $2.25 per week total for three papers total which would make them $.75 each. After signing up, calling again to verify, I now understand that it is $2.25 per paper…so if you get 3 papers it would be $6.75 per week total. The best deal by calling star tribune directly is to sign up for their automatic easy pay where it charges your credit card and you get the Sunday paper for $1.75 per paper…so if you get 3 papers it would be $5.25 per week total . I’m not saying that it was advertised wrong however I did call to clarify and somehow I still got the information wrong.
