  1. don

i must have placed my order while they changed their mind on promo cus i got charged full amt. i will need to call them to cancel order

  2. Shannon

They may go back & contact everyone else & either make them add more to their carts to add up to $60 or make them pay the $15 or cancel their orders. What a bummer!

  3. Charmaine

I wonder if they will now cancel the orders that already went through 🙁 I have seen that happen soooooo many times!

  4. Cindy

I am so over Totsy. Last time I placed an order they cancelled it because they ran out of that item. Now they change the code, while we were all trying to get our orders through. Obviously it was a valid code before. I’m sorry but I just don’t like this company. Bad experience after bad experience.

    • Rebecca

I had to laugh – they “un-friended” me on FB (and everyone else who asked about their VIPMOM code). Any comment which mentioned it was deleted and that’s when I noticed the “Like” button was back – as if I’d never selected it…. Seriously?

      • Jennie

me too! Se my comment below! This is so shady!

        • Kathy

          Me three!

  5. Dana Fay

Completely wasted my time. First the website was having problems and wouldn’t load pages. Probably getting to many people trying to log on ? After numerous attempts in trying to get items in my cart ,giving them my info, they said I had to spend $60 to use the code. I’ve wasted 45 min on this. I’m glad at least some people in the beginning got through though. Reading the posts though I hope they fill the orders.

  6. Denise

I ordered something a few days ago and used the VIPMOM code, but it would not let me double up with the free shipping. Also, how do I get the refund instead of Family Fun mag?

  7. Ashlee

I think thier goal is to frustrate thier customers, lol.

  8. Tasha K

They charged me shipping when I used my $15 credit and I can’t get them to reply to my questions. I mean, paying for shipping only makes this a mediocre deal, and all sales are final so I can’t cancel my order.. Oh well, lesson learned, I’m done with Totsy. From all the online reviews I’ve read, not many people are happy with their Totsy experiences, dating back 1+ years, I should have done a little research!

    • jdier

I called them about this and they offered to cancel my order and did so. Try it!

  9. Jessica

Not trying to be ugly but it pisses me off so bad to spend time trying to get into a website that crashes or doesn’t work, and then suddenly the code changes. Waste of my time and takes credibility away from the website as well

    • Cindy

      I completely agree.

  10. Jennie

I think it is wrong for them to change the code mid way through everyone trying to order! It was obviously their mistake if they didn’t mean for the code to say $15 off anything $16 or more. They should honor it anyway!

  11. Jennie

I posted a question about the promo code on Totsy’s facebook wall and now they are removing posts about the promo code and I have now been blocked from posting anything! I was very nice about my question!

    • Ashlee

That’s hillarious. They are digging themselves into a deeper and deeper hole…

      • Jennie

yes they are! I finally got a representative on the phone as I was more upset about being blocked from posting on their facebook page then about the deal. The guy said the $15 code was sent out all over but was not sent by them. He said their code has always been $15 off a $60 purchase?! When asked why I was blocked from posting on their facebook page he said this must be a glitch and would pass my name onto the right people. It doesn’t really matter as I “unlike” them.

        • Rebecca

Jeannie, I laughed about that one too after seeing I was blocked. What I can’t figure is why they’d report the code as always being $60 when we know it was honoring the $16 threshold for a time. Ahh… yes, I can just see the emergency meeting:

“Uh-oh, we’ve got a problem – too many folks using the VIPMOM code…. any suggestions?

          “Yeah, what’s the threshold?”

          “$16 purchase”

“Oh that’s easy, just make it “$60″! They’ll just assume they heard it wrong….”

          “Brilliant!” ; D

          • Jennie

I’m sure there was some sort of meeting about it for sure! They are going to have to have another one since they are blocking people from their facebook page! Now they are posting they never block anyone. What?!

            • Rebecca

Okay – so they finally admitted it just now on their FB site:

              Totsy
Thank you everyone for your patience. Regarding the promo code, we are honoring anyone’s transactions that went through. However, there was a glitch that set our minimum purchase order to $16. The original minimum purchase price of $60 has been restored.

            • Jennie

I see they continually delete any comments with posts that refer to the VIPMOM promo code and then there will be several posts from other people saying they are getting messages from those people that they are blocked from posting anything on the site. I am still blocked from posting anything.

            • Kathy

If they never block anyone, why am I blocked?? Someone said it was bait and switch and I said it did feel that way. The comments were deleted and I was blocked.

  12. Heather

such a rip off! Thanks for the heads up on the deal but this company should be reported to the BBB.

  13. Pinky

Oh well. There’s always another deal somewhere else.

    • Pinky

I did ask them to lose out my account though. Not really interested in using them and i hate when you get daily emails from places you aren’t going to shop at.

      • Pinky

Close out not lose but hey whatever works.

  14. Rebecca

    Latest from their FB Page:

Totsy This is a very old code, only for new user, that had a minimum on it. Some people find a way to use it without respecting the terms of the offer (that were on the email with the code). The code has a limit of $60 minimum purchase.

Q: “Will you still honor the code?”

Totsy Yes code is honor as long as you received the offer. It’s for first time user/buyer, and has a $60 minimum purchase.

Q: Hmm I thought the minimum was 16, when did it change?

Totsy It was $60 and for first time user. See the original email offer if you received it and were part of the promo.

    • Wendy

“Some people find a way to use it without respecting the terms of the offer (that were on the email with the code).”

      Right.

    • Tasha K

That’s funny, when I tried to check out with a $15.50 order, a little blub said “code valid only valid for purchases of $16 or more” and so I added a small item. Sounds more like their own website “found a way to use it without respecting the terms of the offer.”

      • Rebecca

Yeah, and they just admitted it too:

        Totsy
Thank you everyone for your patience. Regarding the promo code, we are honoring anyone’s transactions that went through. However, there was a glitch that set our minimum purchase order to $16. The original minimum purchase price of $60 has been restored.

        • Laura

They say they will honor them, but then in a few weeks Totsy will send out an email to many of the people who used the $15 off $16 saying that they actually don’t have enough of the product to honor their purchase. If the people are lucky, they will get a refund. I had this happen and they didn’t refund me! It was only like $1.50 and I got one of the items I purchased (Preggo Pops), but the fact that it was their standard to not automatically refund was freightening. I will NEVER shop Totsy again. I would bet that a Totsy rep will come onto Hip2Save (I’ve had experience where Totsy will go to a deal site and submit a general apology message, much like the ones they post on their Facebook saying that that the promo code was a mistake and that it wasn’t meant to go out to as many people as it did, yada yada yada), and apologize for it, say that customers can contact their customer service (which apparently the person who post ALL of these messages (in response to everyone who complains on FB) is not actually a person who can help with customers). Individuals will contact customer service and never actually get a response, or they get a response, but not from one person, so if they try to respond they will get some completely different person who didn’t send the initial message. There’s a reason there are tons of horrible reviews on the internet about Totsy. Search for them yourself.

          • Rebecca

            yeah… looks like totsy ain’t so hotsy…. ; B

  15. Shannon

Rebecca- you are cracking me up. I wish Totsy would just admit their mistake & apologize! Good lord!

  16. Rebecca

GOOD NEWS for those who received the original 15.00 off 16.00 or more (this was just posted to their FB page):

Q: What if you weren’t told the code had a limit of 60? I used it yesterday and had gotten it from someone else and wasn’t told about the limit? Can I cancel my order in good grace since I wasn’t informed of the limit? I wouldn’t of used it if I had known.

Totsy: We will honor your order. Customer first 🙂

  17. Carol_R

Sorry, maybe I’m jaded but I don’t believe that there was a glitch in their system and that this was some old code. My guess is that they saw too many people using it and cut it off and then backpeddled.

If they want to put limits on stuff, then state it up front because to me to do otherwise is dishonest. I will never order from Totsy after this fiasco.

  18. lirpaapril82

I hope you don’t feature these bozos again…

    • Cassidy

I agree. Lets not hear about this company anymore. They seem to be totally dishonest in their business practices.

  19. Shopper Momma

When I plugged in the “VIPMOM” code, it said “You need a minimum order total of $60 to use this promotion code.” What’s up with this? Anyone else have this problem?

    • Shopper Momma

      never mind…I see others’ repsonses

  20. Kathy

Sad, they’re deleting any comments about the code. The comments weren’t even that nasty. I’m going to ask for my acct to be closed after this, espec w/ the other issues I’ve heard.

  21. meryl

I really like their products but when I put my first order through it was free, + free shipping- then I emailed them asking to include an item which would then make me owe them $$ [but still have free shipping] and they said no! Now I thought that was very strange- they did not want money from me???

    • Kathy

Was that today?? If so, I bet they are afraid that would be seen as “honoring” the code”, I liked some of their stuff, but after the way they are responding I won’t order now, though I would have possibly placed another order. I assume someone made a HUGE boo boo, but they need to say that, not “glitch” and blocking comments if they aren’t nasty is crazy.

  22. angie

darn a just placed an order code didnt work, now it looks like I’m stuck with it according to the FAQ’s all sales are final. Not Gonna do that a gain GGGGGG, :o(

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Angie, call them and cancel the order. I had done same last time.

  23. Mandie

I can only comment on my experience with Totsy and enlight of all that is being said in regards to the promotion code, I still love Totsy. I have been a customer since Feb. of this year and only have good things to say. I actually made a purchase about 3 days ago using the code and had two friends become members and make purchases while it was still working on orders $16 and more. I just got off the phone with Totsy and they advised that my order was honored and they will not be canceling my order or my friends. I have to admit this was an amazing deal and can understand were they would be loosing money. However, I am sure that this code will also help their business in that they will gain loyal customers, such as my friends who are looking forward to their next purchase with the $10 off code Totsy provided for their next purchase via e-mail. Totsy has proven to me to be awesome. There was one time when I ordered two outfits for my daughter who is a size 6 and the outfits ran too small for her. I contacted Totsy and they apologized and credited me the $50+ dollars back to my account. On top of that Totsy told me to go ahead and donate the two outfits. I was completely blown away by the gesture. This was not the only time Totsy went above and beyond to make me a satisfied customer. There was a time when I had the same thing happen with a pair of shoes for my daughter and they again credited my account and told me to donate the shoes. On another occasion I accidentally ordered two of the same items that were $10 each and contacted them and tried to return the 2nd one, but they told me to go ahead and keep it, gift it, etc. and they credited my account. Now with all that being said I will remain a loyal customer of Totsy. They didn’t have to credit my account for any of the three transactions as all sales are final, but they did. Thank you, Totsy!

    • Haley

Mandie so what position at Totsy do you hold currently? Customer service rep? Could you be more obvious? Even if someone did want to post a positive comment about Totsy yours is giving me a toothache. LOL. Can you say damage control?

      • Nata

        LOL, couldn’t agree more.

      • Salsam7

Actually Ms. Haley, I do not work for Totsy. I actually lil here in Jacksonville, NC as my husband is a Marine just like Colin. I my self am a stay at home mom and found that I was tired at shopping at the same old mall as almost every other mom here. Thus I turned to online shopping. Totsy happens to be one of my favorete as well as Zulily and a few others. So I guess you are not as on your toes as you thought Ms. Haley. How is that for a toothache.

        • Haley

I was talking to Mandie…not you..unless you’re her with another username? From the gist of your message I think you were trying to ‘tell me off’ but due to lack of proper grammar or spelling I can’t be sure what your point is, lol. Here’s mine-

          1. I couldn’t care less that your husband is a marine, not sure what that or your location have to do with anything. My husband is in the air force, woopity do.
          2. If you did work for Totsy I wouldn’t expect you to come out and admit it.

Take a chill pill, and possibly an English class :/
Done with this convo. Have a great day!

          • Salsam7

Ha Ha you are funny and yes I am Mandie. Just thought you were childish for taking the time to criticize someone who mentions their experience. Guess you must have missed that part in my initial post because you were to hot headed. I will work on my grammar if you work on your anger management. LOL

            • Kathy

You have only managed to make me feel worse about the company,

    • Amy

Riiiiiight. They didn’t even want to reapply a $15 code to a new order when the item I wasted my code on turned out to be out of stock.

  24. Nata

I had a bad experience with Totsy before. I ordered a book from them which was supposed to be shipped a month later. A month and a half has passed and no sign of the book. I emailed them and was told that they were experiencing delays, to be patient etc. OK, fine. So I waited 2 more weeks. Emailed them again, got the same response. Waited one more week, emailed AGAIN and was told that my item was OOS, so I wouldn’t be getting it after all. Since I used a $15 coupon code on my order I asked if I could apply it to another order. Was denied and they were not really nice about it (even though I was).
My daughter was very disappointed to not receive the book she was looking forward to for so long and I was unpleasantly surprised at how they handled the situation.
I will not shop with them again.
The way they handled situation with the current promo (lying it was a scam and deleting people on FB) was awful.

  25. Aims47

Site kept crashing all afternoon when I’d try and now it says I have to have an order of $60 NOT $16. What?!! Bait and switch? This is my first experience with Totsy and I was liking the site, but this is not acceptable.

  26. Heather

Does anybody know where this company is based out of?

  27. stephanie

Why do people complain about free stuff or super cheap items? If you find your time is worth more then don’t waste your time on websites looking for deals. I do not work for Totsy and I know a bunch of you will bash this and be all immature, but seriously people grow up. Totsy is a company who has offered many great deals. If you don’t trust them then don’t use them. Don’t bash them though because as a company they can’t afford to give you free items or super cheap items. Seriously would you rather them honor you code and go bankrupt or remain a business and do what they can???? If you are struggling in this economy then how in the world do you expect a company to support the hundreds of thousands of followers who follow coupon blogs and “purchase” crud when its practically free??? You people are ridiculous getting all upset about a company not being able to send you a $15 item for free. Really??? If that $15 item means that much to you then go get a second, third, forth job whatever it is and go buy it yourself instead of relying on someone to give it to you!!!! Grow up. It’s a business so deal with it.

    • Jennie

I think the upset is more about how shady they are being. I don’t care about missing a deal. I want to know a company is being honest and not trying really hard to cover up a mistake. Then they are deleting comments and blocking people to also further not make themselves look bad. It looks like they have a history of doing this and very bad reviews. They have a “D” on the BBB. So I don’t think they are doing that great in the customer service area.

  28. Linz

This is my experience with Totsy. The one and only time I ordered from them it took 4 months for an item to arrive (it was supposed to be a month according to the oder form) and when it did they had sent the wrong size. Of course getting someone on the phone to help me was a joke and when I did, guess what?! They were out of the size I originally ordered. I then had to ask for a refund to which the customer service rep seemed annoyed, no, I’m not joking. I was offered no credit, free shipping, or anything to make up for my trouble. First and last purchase from Totsy. Buyer beware.
