UPDATE: Sorry, all! 🙁 I am having to remove the links from this offer as they are a small company and won’t be able to fulfill all the orders they are receiving.

Go here to score 2 FREE Softcup Menstrual samples! The site appears to be getting slammed (you may have to refresh a few times), so be patient. After submitting the form it went to a blank page for me, so I am hoping it went through.

I guess everyone wants a Softcup Menstrual sample… it must be that time of the month! 😉

* Softcup is a flexible cup that is worn internally, around your cervix. It collects, rather than absorbs menstrual flow. It’s hypo-allergenic, latex-free and completely safe when used as directed.

    LOL! THanks, Collin 🙂

  2. Tiffany

I got the blank screen and refreshed, this is what the new screen said:

Thank you for your interest in trying Softcup! Your free sample will include two Softcups and detailed product information, including insertion and removal instructions. For more help, visit http://www.softcup.com/video-tutorials. Try it and see for yourself why thousands of women have become Softcup fans!

So I think it went through!

  3. ...grace...

this sounds very odd to me… who comes up with this stuff?! yowza…

  4. Shirley

I’ve never heard of these! It seems sorta weird. If it collects rather than absorbs, are they not messy to remove?

    • Emma

hehehe. Totally with you on that one. My first thought after reading the post was “the site is getting slammed….WHY”. hehehehe. My flow is not something I am that fond of that I need to collect. HEHEHEHEHE. Not only does Collin help us save, she gives us daily laughs.

    • Tracy

Definitely my question, too! I think I’ll pass!

    • Sarah

Totally agree with yall. After reading, I thought, ewwww, that sounds totally gross. Why is this getting slammed. I will stick with the other ways. Thanks any ways Collin 🙂

    • heather s

i haveseen them they sell them at walmart for a box they 5 dollars i have them they are ok they say how to insert them properly and yada yada so i bought them and they are very hard toget towork without leaking atleast for me i have tried and tried.

  5. Lisa

I’ve heard of these. Sounds gross, I don’t want one free or not. 🙂

    • Maria S.

Second that! Sounds completely disgusting, and the process-super yuck!

  6. lara

I love these things. It is similar to a diaphragm and it is messy to remove but it is 2 seconds of messy vs all day of messy. You can also use them if your are trying to conceive. Insert post intimacy and keeps semen close to your cervix for 24 hours.
Wow. Can you tell I am a nurse. 😉

    • Laura

What a great idea! My hubby and I are going to start trying for a baby in a few months. Thanks for the tip! 😉

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    • Michelle

I’d never thought about that use! I have a friend that is TTC and I will definitely pass on that tip to her.

    • Julie

Wow. I would not have thought of that! Does the Dr actually recommend that to increase the chances of getting pregnant? You just shocked me. I was still trying to get past the description of use for this item. LOL

      • lara

There are all kinds of tips you can find for trying to conceive use the cup, use mucinex as it thins out your cervical mucous (not sure of dosing) and makes it easier for the sperm to reach their destination, just google and you can find a good bit of info. 🙂

    • elizabeth

Now that is about the only use I would have for this- what a creative thing to do! I was blessed very unexpectedly with my Son, but due to complications the doctors expect me to have a very tough time if we try for number 2 and that is a great tip!

      • trailmama

what a great tip! i wish i would have known that before my daughter was born…took us three years! BTW my sister says these are really good to use! no risk of toxic shock, no pads etc. she loves them! the site seems down so i will keep on trying….

    • Rhonda

Lara, what a great idea! My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year now and I just might have to try this… 😉

      • Blair

Try Robitussin. I know two girls who took that while TTC and got pregnant within 1 1/2 months of trying. I won’t get into how it works in the comments but you can find out by Google-ing “robitussin to get pregnant.” Good luck!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I used these for 6 months TTC and all I ended up with was a UTI,so be careful.I am still TTC so they they don’t work for every one.The only up side I seen to them is if you use them right after BDing then there is ne mess all over you and you can leave those swimmers in for 12 hours for a better chance.

    • Chrystal

Yep! I used these the 1st time the same month I got pregnant…for the same reason you listed. I’m infertile so I needed all the help I could get!

  7. Laura

I’ve been wanting to try these for a while. I know many people who use them and LOVE them. They all said they wouldn’t go back to using pads/tampons. Also, they are very eco-friendly.

    • Sonya

I love these, been using them for years! yes it can be messy if you don’t follow the instructions but overall they are wonderful….no worries, swim, have sex….live your life w/out worrying about accidents.

  8. Teri Haupt

All I can say is. Yuck!!

  9. Amber

Definitely sounds yucky to me, but isn’t collecting it in a pad or sticking a tampon up there to collect it yucky too? Hmmm.

  10. JustMe

Buying a diva cup was one of the best things I’ve ever done. I tried things similar to this and could not prevent leaks. They’re really not all that messy… actually, I’d say less messy. But, really–check out diva cups.

    • Michelle

I also have a Diva Cup. It takes a bit of practice but it is a money saver.

    • JustMe

Oh, and they are the BEST for swimming.

    • Amy

I second the Diva Cup recommendation. I’ve used one for many years (and had a different brand for a few years before that) and It really is a money saver. Messy at times, though. LOL

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wowser. Sounds yucky. I think I’ll pass on this one.

  12. Kelly

Do things like diva cups increase your chances of getting a yeast infection????

    • Kay

No, they do not increase your chance of yeast infection. Why would you think that? Softcup has a great website and there is a lot of info there.

  13. Kay

I really don’t understand posting a comment just to say that you don’t like the idea of a product. I have used Softcups and I really like them. You can wear them longer than a tampon and without any scent. It is a free sample so why not give it a try? I do not understand how the idea is any more gross than the concept of a tampon or pad? Sure, maybe it is not for everyone – but either are tampons and pads.

    • Shirley

I honestly just wanted to know more about them. I had never heard of them and the concept to me seems like it’d be more messy than that of tampons or pads. I don’t know if I’d try this or not, probably not, but I still wanted to know more about it.

      • Kay

Shirley, you should visit their website – when it is not being overloaded from the freebie. I think it is really simple to use and much easier than tampons and more comfortable/no smell than pads. There are many options for menstrual cups. This one is disposable but there is the diva cup too. They have a good website as well.

        • Shirley

Thank you, Kay. I will do that. 🙂

    • Laura

      I don’t understand either. It doesn’t seem anymore gross than a tampon…

    • Caitlin

I actually think it’s kind of sad that so many people are “grossed out” by menstruation! It’s a NATURAL thing and we all do it. I’d much rather use something without nasty chemicals and/or bleach!

      • Kay

Caitlin – I agree. I don’t think anything should be labeled “gross.” I was just trying to point out that I don’t understand how someone would be offended by the idea of a menstrual cup/softcup gross and not a tampon. I agree about it being better than the bleached cotton in tampons too!

      • Carol_R

Just because something is natural doesn’t mean that it can’t be gross. Pooping to me is gross & so is throwing up and both are “natural”.

        • Karen Lynn

If nothing else I am getting a great laugh out of this! lololol

  14. Michelle

In my opinion, tampons and pads are disgusting and wasteful. The reusable ones like the diva cups are better for the environment and do not carry the risk of TSS. Stop judging something you’ve never tried.

    • Laura

      I agree!

    • Caitlin

      Agreed 100%!

  15. Jessica

I love these! You can also use them during sex, but I haven’t tried that lol.

    • JustMe

That is true, but I’m not sure I’d want to. For those unfamiliar with these, they are have a firm outer ring with a flexible “barrier”. I much prefer the diva cup which is a totally different shape.. much smaller but a firm silicone (or available in rubber if you prefer) cup. Diva cups could not be used during sex.

  16. Ashley

hmmmm sounds strange…well different, for the sake of curiosity and if I can get the site to work I think I’ll give it a try…it is free of course 😉

  17. AutumnH

Lara thank you for your recommendation for people TTC my husband and I are so I’ll be super excited if I can actually get through to this freebie!

  18. EC

I dont understand how to use these thing ….. what if it get stuck ?

  19. Shanon Banks

I guess the website is down. I’ve tried 5 or 6 times and I can’t get through. I’ve been wanting to try these, but was afraid to buy them for fear that I wouldn’t like them. I hope I can get through eventually!

  20. Felinda

love, love the Softcup. It used to be called Instead and not all stores carried them at the time. Yes, it can be messy but only for a few seconds as compared to using a pad. I don’t have to worry about TSS among other things, too.

    • Nichole

I was wondering if this is the same company that makes Instead. I’ve been using those for years!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        I was wondering the same!

  21. marr

Menstrual cups have ~100 years of history. FFS fabric, reusable diapers used to be the only option decades ago in some areas of the world. Merchandising (& advertising) change everything.

  22. D

I’m not familiar with this brand but I know about the DivaCup aka the Moon Cup and if it’s anything similar then there’s less a chance of TSS because there’s not anything foreign that can allow for the bacteria that causes TSS to multiply. The Cup devices are made of a surgical grade silicone type material and so it’s non porous. Yes it’s messy initially, but once you learn how to use it and empty it at the right levels then it’s much more pleasant. Speaking also of, for some women, that area is smaller than the top diameter of the cup so there can be a slight discomfort when pulling out, much similar to a similar action during intercourse. My colleague Laci Green made a video about it that explains it more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cdsXi__SoE

  23. Michelle

The nice thing about these are they’re comfortable and easy to handle once you get the hang of it. And no trash! Isnt it way more gross to thing about the things you’re throwing in the trash?

  24. Andrea

I used Softcups several years ago. It took awhile to get used to them, but I was impressed. I definitely recommend them. And they are no messier than tampons or pads, they are actually cleaner.

  25. Su "The Referral Queen"

    Interesting…

  26. Jessica

I don’t think there is any chance of them getting stuck. From the first time I used them, it was super easy and I could not feel it at all! I bought mine from Walmart for about $5.

  27. Megan

This is a blast from the past! Used these things for a while in college. Though I never did get the hang of taking them out without getting a bit messy.

  28. Sheila

I’ve been trying to get one for my daughter, the Dr.s have told her that it will be very difficult for her to have children. I would love for her to try this. Problem is that the link isn’t working. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to get through?

  29. Katie

There is a $1 coupon for these at Coupons.com. They retail for about 8 for 20. I like them for the heavier days. They are great because you don’t have to change them as often either. Its worth trying!

  30. laura

yay, after a little bit of persistence in reloading the site, i was able to get a confirmation page that my request for a sample was accepted! i’m interested in trying these because the concept is great (compared to nasty pads and tampons that we have to change frequently through the day). i bought a diva cup a couple years ago but was unable to get it to fit comfortably, in my post-baby body. i’m hoping these will be more comfortable!

don’t knock this method until you try it ladies! it really is LESS mess overall even if it sounds icky (i’m not the hippie “love my period” type so i used to think this was total nonsense as well).

  31. stephanie

I finally got the page to load but now it’s saying this: “This limited special offer is only available through our partner websites.

    *Terms

With no place to click to accept the terms, anyone having the same problem?

    • Melissa

i tried the whole time & just finally got through…..to this same message…. 🙁 was very curious & wanted to try this! never heard of these before.

    • Amber

Glad I didn’t keep trying when it didn’t work after about 10 tries or so. Who knew they would be gone so soon. Let’s see if anyone receives anything.

  32. Lois

Tried to submit for the sample but I got a message saying that the offer is now closed.

  33. Andrea

Darn, all gone! Used them in the past, got a coupon at coupons.com to try them again.

  34. She

    Sample forms are gone……….

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have used these before and yes they can be gross. Pros- less chance of toxic shock, less oder, less leaks and changes, can be intimate in them so no mess Cons- when its pulled out contents can get all over your hand, has to be thrown away, can be uncomfortable if put in wrong but can be corrected,

  36. katie

i always miss these deals!!!!!! AH!

  37. Jessica

It took a looooooooooooonnng time of just waiting for the page to load (and having to refresh when it timed out) and having to “resend” my info, but I finally got it. Thanks so much I’ve been wanting to try these forever!

  38. Delilah

I’ve been wanting to try these. Do they make you loose? And how far do you insert them?

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sounds like a giant contact lens for downstairs. lol

  40. Adriana

tried to see if they were still available but they aren’t. Never tried these before but found a coupon for all yoy loyal users.

On their website use coupon HEALTHYWOMEN2010 to get a FREE box of 24 when you buy one boz of 24 ($10.49). Pretty much B1G1 FREE. YAY for coupons. 🙂

  41. Heidi

My daughter and I use the Diva cups and love them. There is no smell like you have with pads and no toxic shock risk like from tampons. Very economical too. I’ve had mine for 10 years.

  42. Rainey

eeewww this just sounds messy, I man must have come up with this idea LOL. what happens if you sneeze LOL oh wait, I don’t want to know 🙂

  43. Linda

These are great! I use them for the first two days of my cycle and they are the only things that work for me. 😉 I get them at Wags, and coupons.com often has $1 off coupons.

  44. tiffany

These seem to be like the “Instead” cup, which I have used several times….I never got the hang of it enough to be comfortable. I was always worried that it would nto work so I ended up using a liner or pad with it…which kind of works against the idea, I think.

    Tiff

  45. Jean

Oh bummer!!! I wanted to try this! Been intrigued about the Diva cup for a while…

  46. Mary

I’ve been using these for a couple of years!! I can’t get over all of the years I’ve wasted!!! I’ve seen the Diva cup but somehow I can’t conceive how that works. I think it would be uncomfortable. This soft cup goes in and you do not feel it!!!!! The only odd thing is with me when I urinate the cup shifts & when I finish there’s a toilet full of blood. But I don’t need to readjust the cup it goes into place. If anyone knows of a similar product please let me know.

These can be messy and odd to remove but once you get the hang of it they aren’t bad!! I can’t even wear tampons anymore they feel like glass.

  47. Jenn

I dont think I will snag this, but it sounds like a good alternate. My only question is, aren’t they a little big?

  48. Kristle

i know this is an old post , idk if any one will see this and there are differing opinions on the use of this product. but i was just on coupons.com and they have a printable $1 off coupon for this product for those that use them 🙂
