My Unibrow and Love for Tweezerman Tweezers

This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Monday, August 29th, 2011 at 6:32 pm.

OK, so I seriously use to never like plucking my eye brows… in fact, I dreaded the eye brow plucking task we women have to endure. And to be honest, some weeks it was quite obvious that plucking my eye brows was not high on my priority list or even on my priority list at all. So, yes, I think a unibrow has occasionally started to creep up on me. And is it bad that the only reason I would notice this was due to my hubby…

“Hey babe, ummm… your eyes are gorgeous, but, well, well, ummm, how should I say this, umm, well, your eyebrows are, well, ummm one.”

OK, so fast forward and I no longer have this problem! The solution – Tweezerman Tweezers! :D Yep, these babies are amazing. They are sharp and easily pluck out my hairs. I actually have fun plucking my eye brows now. The only downside, these tweezers are pricey. My hubby surprised me with a pair he paid over $30 for. And in my book, that’s a lot of money considering you can score Revlon Tweezers for less than $1 after coupon! But this is when you have to remember that sometimes higher end, quality items are worth the price!

Alright, so enough rambling, let me get on to the deal part of this post. If you’ve received your FREE $10 Rue La La credit that I posted about previously (no longer available), then you may be happy to know that you can score a sweet deal on various Tweezerman products! Just head on over to Rue La La and login to your existing account. After doing so, scroll down and click on the “Tweezerman” sale.

The Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezers & Mirror sets (pictured above) are priced at just $19.90 – down from $30! So $9.90 (if you got the $10 credit) + shipping of $9.95. So the credit basically makes shipping FREE. Not too shabby for Tweezerman! If you are at all interested, I would hurry and order as these seem to be selling out fast!

Or you can spend a little less money on Amazon, if you don’t need the mirror or care for the fun design. Amazon has these Tweezerman Stainless Steel Slant Tweezers starting in price at $15.38 (in steel) + FREE shipping with Amazon Prime or on $25 or more with Super Saver Shipping.

Thank you for sharing! We might be “in trend” this year! :) Bushy Brows Unite!!!!

I love the Tweezer Man tweezers!! They’re the best. Mine were about $18 at Sephora a couple years back. Once you use these you’ll never use another. One could perform surgery with these babies. A co-worker used my last week to remove a splinter that was pretty deep and he was very impressed with them. Mine are pink with white and pink polka dots. Definitely worth a little extra money.

    • Linda says:

We use mine to remove splinters too!

    • Pat says:

What are the difference between these tweezers and Revlon tweezers?
You still have to pluck them right? And if so, what keeps these tweezers from hurting?

      • Collin says:

        Hi Pat,

The sharpness of these Tweezers makes the hairs come out so fast that I personally hardly feel the hairs being pulled…. and I have had a far different experience with less expensive tweezers like Revlon.

        • Chris says:

Hmm, Revlon is the only brand of tweezers I’ll use (the rest of them are junk), but mine don’t hurt at all (with Revlon). I think I’ve killed all the nerve endings from tweezing for 30 years.

      • Amy says:

These tweezers are A LOT thinner than revlon or other brands. You can get just one hair at a time (making it less painful). They are also more slanted/sharper, giving you more control. I love these tweezers!

  • Deb says:

It’s says that my credit expired! :(

  • Judy says:

Went to Walgreen’s Sat. to use the $1.00 coupon for the Crystal Clear Reach Toothbrush on sale for .99. The cashier would not let me use it because the pic on it showed a double set of brushes. She said the manager was not available. What’s up with that? The coupon specifically said “$1 off any Reach TOOTHBRUSH!

  • Bethany says:

Hahaha Collin! Thanks for your honesty about your unibrow – you’re not alone!!! ;)

  • Denise says:

Totally worth the money! In fact, you can return them to Tweezer Man for sharpening…Check out their website for details.

    • Collin says:

Awesome! I didn’t even realize this.

    • Jeannie says:

When Tweezerman first launched, they were on Oprah on day and the VERY NEXT DAY the tweezers FLEW off the shelves! After reading all the rave reviews I bought 2 at some drugstore…can’t remember which for under $10!!! BEST INVESTMENT I EVER MADE!!! I keep one on hand and send the other in for sharpening and I’ve been doing this AT LEAST 10 YRS!!! Not sure but I think it’s LIFETIME SHARPENING. Like Collin says, you won’t regret it.

  • Cremme says:

I just picked up a limited edition pink cheetah Tweezerman from Sephora for $11. They frequently have the tweezers on sale for $5-$12.

  • Francoise says:

    Ha! you’re so funny, Collin!

When I was a waitress a while back another waitress used to say to me every once in a while, “Let me do your eyebrows for you. You would look so pretty.” Well, one day I plucked just a few (maybe 10-15 hairs at the most) and the next time I was at work a different waitress exclaimed loudly in passing, not even slowing down with a full tray in hand, mind you, “Look, Francoise did her eyebrows! They look so nice!”

Sheeesh. I was almost 40 and it was my first time. Maybe that’s why I didn’t marry until 30. My husband put up with so much. What a dear : )

  • brenda says:

just order me a pair on sephora for 11 bucks, cant wait to use them i go get my eyebrows waxed and the price keeps go up and up. now they want 12 bucks for a waxs but it last about 3 weeks, but now i will do it myself…. thanks for the infor…..Brenda

  • Sarah says:

LOL! You’ve convinced me! I bought the Amazon ones…thanks Collin. =)

  • Phalloeun says:

Oh Collin, I love you! Recently I have been sporting this look because I forgot to have some body maintenance time. It’s hard to remember when you’ve got little ones to look after.

    • trailmama says:

i’m with you on that one!!! my oldest is 10, youngest 2, and the honesty of little ones is truly fun, “mom wow you look a bit hairy!”

  • Rue La La has also started a new shipping promo. Pay shipping once, get free shipping for the next 30 days. So that free credit becomes like a month of free shipping! Yeah! I <3 Rue La La!

  • Tina says:

This cracked me up…and reminded me that my eyebrows are in serious need for attention! Thanks!

  • Tabitha says:

LMAO! :) :) That was high light of my day reading that…thanks for the laugh!

  • Stephanie says:

I completely understand the unibrow. Of all the grooming things, I hate tweezing the most :P Thanks for the laugh! Unibrows unite!!!

  • Stacy says:

Please tell me your husband didn’t really do that?

  • jes says:

Is there really a difference in tweezers? I can’t imagine shelling out 30 dollars for tweezers that just have a pretty design.

    • Collin says:

Don’t knock them until you try them! I am not kidding… I felt the same way as you, but changed my mind once the first hair was plucked. :)

    • Linda says:

I felt the same way till I tried these. I’ve always hated plucking and would always go wax (still painful but quick!!). Well, I bought a pair of these, and it genuinely hurts VERY LITTLE! I believe it’s the sharpness of them, or something about how they are made and how well they “squeeze”. Whatever it is, I totally agree with Collin, they are worth it!

    • Lisa says:

I use the Revlon Ultimate that I probably paid about $7 for. It is SO much better than the cheap $1 ones that are always free after coupon. SO MUCH BETTER. You get what you pay for with tweezers. :)

    • Mel C says:

I promise you, these are awesome tweezers. I paid $20 about 4 years ago and keep them in my bag to hide them from the man and my girls. I can’t tell you how many time I’ve sent them in for sharpening. Each time they’re sent back, it’s like a whole new set all over again!! And the hide them from the family game begins again lol

  • Kelly says:

I have a pair of tweezer man tweezers and they DO work much better than any I have owned before. Thanks also for giving a shout out to Rue La La…my Husband is the IT manager there in the Boston office :)

  • Danielle says:

These truly are fabulous tweezers and worth the little extra $$.

  • Erica says:

Your husband is as tactful as mine. We went on an outdoor adventure and all I had was flip flops because I was too busy making sure the kids had the right shoes packed. We went to half a dozen shops in a little town to find hiking shoes and none of the ladies shoes were big enough for me. He finally asked the salesperson if they had any mens shoes big enough to fit me. Hey-tall trees have big roots!

  • mkw says:

These are also at Bed Bath and Beyond. I use my discount coupons to purchase Tweezer Mans for myself and my mom.

  • Addison says:

Tweezerman tweezers ROCK!! But I gotta tell you, gals, my Princess Dotter is an aesthetician (someone who specializes in skin care & makeup–and believe me, she is gorgeous and knows her stuff) and her saying is “You PLUCK a chicken. Ladies, we TWEEZE our brows!” Love it! (ps. waaay too many women over-tweeze. Read up on the best way to determine your brow shape. Overtweezing looks just as awful as unibrow…!) ;-)

  • Ashley EVans says:

Went to place an order, but the 9.95 shipping stopped me. I don’t order from Rue la la enough for me to make their one month shipping a “deal” Bummer, since I bet this tweezers cost less than $2 to ship.

  • Jodi says:

I’ve been buying the Tweezerman tweezers for years & love them!! Although I would never pay $30 for them!?!?!? When I first started buying them, I used to buy them at Sally’s Beauty supply & back then I paid about $13 for them. Now they carry them at Walgreens for about $18.

  • melissa says:

I get the tweezorman tweezorette at Sallys Beauty Supply. They are fairly inexpensive and work really well. They keep them in small tube containers near the register. Its the only place I know that has the less expensive version….I think they are smaller.

  • Caitlin says:

I’m not sure if all Sally Beauty stores carry them, but I’ve bought Tweezerman tweezers there for around $3. They are in a Tweezerman package but the tweezers do not have the brand stamped on them like the others do. I loooove them, especially since they’re only $3 at Sally’s. :)

  • couponfemme says:

I thought I already owned Tweezerman tweezers but for the life of me can’t find them — and since I had $20 Rue La La credit (including a $10 from February btw) and there was talk of them expiring, which I never considered, I decided to spring for paying $9.95 for the tweeezers and having free shipping for a month even if I don’t use it. If I do have another pair, I can always do the swap for sharpening. I don’t recall having pain-free tweezing ever, but then again my problem isn’t a unibrow, it’s the fact that mine are about twice as thick as I like them. (And I still have thick brows, lol!)

  • rebecacha says:

You guys crack me up and I am afraid you have convinced me to buy this tweezers, but I guess I will go to Sephora, thanks for the tip! I may hide in one corner and secretly try them before I pay $10 or more for these babies! :)

  • Savings Viking says:

You know, I can’t see paying more than a couple of bucks for a pair of tweezers. $30 for a pair of tweezers? My husband said they had better be diamond-encrusted for that price.

I think our society is too focused on telling women how they are supposed to look. It’s your natural body, you were made that way, be happy with how you look!

  • Mandie says:

Ariva.com has tweezerman tweezers for $20 . Enter code AT25 and recieve 25% off so only $15. There is free shipping and also a free gift of a tweezerman pocket size eyelash curler. I got the tweezers plus free gift for $15 shipped?.!

  • Telisa says:

Bed Bath & Beyond carries Tweezerman. In my store they’re on a stand at customer service. I used my $5 on $15 coupon to get them.

  • Amy says:

I also have an issue with my eyebrows (and elsewhere, due to PCOS) which cause me to need to tweeze quite often. I actually prefer the minis, which you can get for around $10 on Amazon.

  • sweetpea24 says:

I checked out the Rue La La link and actually the $10 sign-up credit is still available, but it says the site is an invite-only site….. PLEASE will you send me an invitation cuz I LOVE TWEEZERMAN TOO!!! LOL my e-mail is jkbsgrl46@yahoo.com
