Wow!   If you’re in need of toothpaste and are headed to Walgreens, have I got a great deal for you!   This week at Walgreens, Crest Whitening Plus Scope toothpaste is on sale 2/$6 and producing a $3 RR.  However, this deal gets even sweeter!   Thanks to reader, Jeannie, she discovered that the Crest Complete Extra White Scope Outlast 5.8 oz toothpaste (UPC # 37000 22879) is also producing a $2 RR!

Here’s how you can score this great deal….

Oral-B 1-2-3 Complete Scented toothbrush, Scope mouthwash 24-33 oz, Crest Whitening Plus Scope Outlast or Complete with Scope Dual Blast toothpaste 5.8 oz 2/$6 = $3 RR
Buy 2 Crest Complete Extra White Scope Outlast toothpaste 5.8 oz (UPC # 37000 22879) 2/$6
Use 2 $0.75/1 coupons found in the 7/31 P&G (some regions received $0.50/1 coupons)
Pay as low as $4.50
Get back a $3 RR AND a $2 RR
Final cost FREE + a $0.50 money maker!
*Some regions received $1/1 coupons which will make this deal even sweeter!

I decided to have a friend (thanks, Mary!) test this deal out this morning and it worked. However, I’m not sure how long it will last, so you may want to run on over and snag some inexpensive toothpaste while you can!  Please note that this toothpaste was NOT marked at the sale price at Mary’s store (see photo), so be sure to ask a cashier to price scan it if it’s also unmarked at your store.

(Thanks for the heads up on this deal, Jeannie and thanks, Mary, for testing the deal!)

I’m sooo upset at my walgreens. Yesterday they change the limit of transactions you could do from what ever number “if there wasn’t any people in line to only 1transaction.. Whaaaaaaatt???

    • Nicki

One of the two stores in my town has that rule because the manager wants it that way but the other doesn’t. They just ask that you go to the cosmetic counter so the front counters can stay open for any others needing to check out. Obviously I go to the multiple transaction store. They have better customer service and have always explained nicely to me the rules of RR when I was learning. I have done Walgreens up in the Chicago suburbs (was there for work) and they are better stocked and have multiple registers opened in front. Depends on the region I suppose too. Honestly, this new rule is probably only that particular store because the manager wants it that way. At least I hope it is!

    • Sonia

Sounds fair to me. Get back in line if you want to do more than one.

      • TheyDontKnow

Walgreens real name is “I don’t know”. I tried to buy cereal on sale, but it rang up too high.
The manager tried to correct things, but he managed to deny my second coupon by the way he did the revised transaction. The day before, I wanted to use $1 coupon on a 99 cent item, and they did not have a clue how. And one day clerk didn’t know how to ring a free item coupon; she said she ‘had to cheat’ to get it to work, but finally got it done (after 5 min.).

    • Eve

Girl don’t be selfish. If there is a long line it’s only fair to not make everyone wait on you because you want to do a bunch of special complicated transactions. Just get back in line or go to the cosmetics counter, if the beauty adviser is there, where there won’t be a huge line.

      • Leticia

@EVE FYI I wait until the last customer on line is cheked out so i could go and do my transactions and if a customer comes to the line i get out of line and sometimes of the counter and let them pay for their stuff i believe they should not wait because for us couponers scaning coupons is a big deal so everything must go perfcet if not they have to call the manager and the customer has to wait a longer period of time… What i ment is that my walgreens used to let me do multiple transactions thru out the day and now they made up this rule of 1 transactions per customer, per day..

    • Michelle

I don’t think that is what she meant. When I was visit my Aunt’s family in AR, the Walgreens there only let me use 1 register reward and do 1 transaction per day. I guess this is how they prevent shelf clearing or something. I was bummed as I didn’t get the free kids vitamins that week. I could have come back another day to do it, but I was on a trip visiting family all over so I was pretty busy. IMHO, I didn’t like the one RR per day rule. It didn’t even make sense to me. But I guess the manager can do whatever they want in their store.

  2. Alicia

there were also some reach toothbrushes /(total care) on clearance for 1.09.
i bought 2, used coupons, and made 3.00 profit

“If you’re in need of toothpaste….”

good grief…i have it coming out of my ears! LOL

    • ketsy

      Great items for donation! 😀

      • ketsy

Also keep in mind when I say donation, it doesn’t necessarily have to be charity. The past week my godmother came to visit from Puerto Rico and on her way back, I sent a suitcase… YES a suitcase… full of products from soap to toothpaste to clothing that I’ve been getting for little or nothing. My mom and two sisters were ecstatic when they received it. Better yet I had them open the suitcase over Skype so I could laugh as they EXTREME-COUPONED through it …lol Good times !

        • Angela

Cute. I wish I could have seen it! I have been to Puerto Rico (on holiday–no relatives) and things are really expensive there!

          • ketsy

Haha! Thanks! I was very excited and so were they. The incomes for locals aren’t that high and most household items are very expensive… sometimes I tell mom she’s paying for the freebies I’m getting lol. They have enough personal items for at least six months. Definitely worth the extra luggage fee, I was also doing the math and its worth sending them a box by mail every 4 – 6 months if I can fit 30+ items per $30 dollar box, it’s a dollar each plus I keep the USPS in service. 😀

            • trailmama

i was just thinking about this sort of thing as well. i help out my sibs and my mom. they are just in another state, but with no computer, and really no funds available for even a paper, i was thinking about putting “care” packages together for them. didn’t know if the priority box from usps is a good deal or not. *flat rate” box

            • Lina

              Hey Ketsy,
I work at the post office, and every little thing counts! I have reverted back to buying postal money orders and paying bills in the mail. Trailmama, flat rate boxes are great if you are sending items that are heavy and would otherwise cost you a lot to send by weight. Lighter items are better off by weight, but quite frankly I tried with diapers and it was almost as much to send it parcel as it was to send it priority flat rate.

    • Kathy

Haha, Suprisingly im almost out of toothpaste! Everytime I go for a TP deal, I can never get any beause of ”them greedy shelf clearers”! GRRR, >:P

  4. rita

    nice!

  5. Mel

I have a rain check to get this same toothpaste at Kroger and then with my 50 cents off coupon doubled, I’ll get them for free! All the free stuff I get I’m putting aside to put in my Operation Christmas Child boxes! It’s a program done by Samaritan’s Purse that sends boxes filled with goodies to children all over the world! It’s very rewarding to know that just a few dollars gives Christmas to a child!

    • Sonia

Great idea. I too have toothpaste coming out my ears.

  6. Sonia

I just did this deal and it worked perfectly. Thanks, Jeannie!

    • jeannie

      anytime!! 🙂

  7. Suzy

Shoot! I got it wrong. I bought two crest complete scopes, but one was blue and one was green and I guess that made the double register reward not work. Bummer.

    • Ariel

same here….They only had three green and one blue so my first transaction worked like a charm and my second only printed the $3 RR. 🙁

      • Cindy

New to the register rewards deals ( and Q’ing as well), at the wags i visited today I bought 8 Crest Complete w/Scope and discovered that only the Green (extra white with Scope “Outlast”) dispensed a $3.00 RR and $2.00 RR, while the Blue (extra white with Scope “Dual Blast”) dispensed a $3.00 only. Bummer.

BTW the sales associates and cashiers were extremely patient and very helpful with us, all told we had 21 separate transactions and the cashiers helped us put the correct RR and fillers together, unfortunately I had finished the Crest purchases b4 we got educated by the staff. still it was a good shopping trip $267.00 in savings for $82.00 with $7.00 in RR for next time. about 78%, savings not bad for my first time I think…

  8. Russ

Yay, it worked for me! Thanks!

  9. Ann

    Worked for me too!!!

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Worked for me!

  11. Tina

Worked for me. This is awesome! I love when the cashiers look at that magic box like, “what’s it doing now!” 2 rewards, yes 2 rewards my dear! thank you very much!

    • Liz

      haha! I love it.

  12. Thone

So funny … yesterday morning when I did my Walgreens run, I was trying to figure out where the heck the extra $2 RR came from and now I know! Wish I had more Crest coupons!

  13. Lauren

Ot-but for the Revlon wag deal, the $2 wag q awhile back in the paper works with the $1revlon q In The 8/14 ss making it a great mm! Tons if colors are left, I just got back from wag, but no markers or pert plus:(

  14. Liz

Worked for me too! Thank you Collin!

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Thanks Collins, I scored 2

  16. Rose

I accidentally neglected to write down the UPC # and thought I had gotten the right ones (based on the product description and size), but the extra RR did not print for me. Totally my bad. When I got back home I compared the UPC of the item I purchased to the one listed above and it was different (mine was: UPC # 37000 49630). So it looks like it’s on a very specific version of the toothpaste. Make sure to write that UPC # down before you go so you aren’t disappointed!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

lol i did the same thing except i wrote the upc had it with me checked the shelf and paid only got one thing is i didnt check the box to lol should have known at my store they never put stock in right place will try again wensday crossing my fingers it still will work if not sill a good deal to use up my revlon rr

    • Carrie

I did the same thing – oops (live and learn)! Still a good deal – only $1 for 2 toothpastes after RR

  17. Ann

Worked for me. Thanks for sharing.

  18. Jeannie

Will my Gillette RR (P&G) work as $4 payment on the toothpaste and generate the 2 RRs? I’m guessing not coz they are all the same company. Does anyone know if this will still work?

    • Russ

The wording on your Gillette RR doesn’t allow it to be used on other P&G products.

      • Jeannie

TY Russ for confirming. Appreciate it.

  19. Chad

    Worked like a charm. Thanks!

  20. Amy

Worked for me! Good thing since I was actually on my last tube of toothpaste, since I had taken some time off from buying any!

  21. MsParker

My july PG coupons expired on 7-31-11. Will Walgreens still accept them?

    • Eve

No expired coupons! The store won’t be reimbursed for them.

  22. Laurie

Did not produce the $2 RR for me and it was this morning. I am in IL. Only the $3.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just did this deal about 30 minutes ago and it produced both register rewards for me!

I went to two stores…one store had 2 tubes left…the other had none. Seems like this deal got out fast!

    • Eve

Are you sure you got the product with the right UPC? There are some similar looking ones on the self that you could get mixed up easily.

  23. Kim N.

Does Walgreens allow you to use expired RR – I found 2 that expired just 2 days ago.

    • Eve

      nope sorry 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

sometimes. it is worth a try to see if you can use them. try at the cosmetics counter.

    • Megan

Mine did…you should call and ask a manager.

      • Jodi

Mine does, within a few days or so.

        • Kim N.

Thanks! I gave it a shot and they let me use them. My Walgreens is the bomb diggity!

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This deal was great. Worked like a charm!!

  25. Mel

Worked great tonight and came in handy for buying pert plus and revlon nail polish!

  26. Eve

I did this today! What a great deal. My manger was really impressed that two RR came out and bought some himself as well lol!

  27. Michelle

It is still working as of last night 🙂 And I was thrilled because usually the good deals like this are wiped off the shelves by the time I get to Walgreens. Thanks for sharing this!

  28. marissa

I’m so confused. This isn’t on sale at my Walgreens. 🙁

  29. Robine

Just did this deal yesterday….It was awesome! The salesclerk said..”how did you do that”…

  30. marissa

Nevermind! Got it! I used the wrong UPC. It wasn’t marked at either of my stores.

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I work for Walgreens and I am a couponer! So I rarely ever end up paying for register reward items with discounts and coupons. I will say that I personally think it’s rude when people have several transactions and go to the front line. I always check my items out in cosmetics because then I’m not holding up customers for 5 minutes. I’d rather one customer be a little upset for going to another register for several transactions for free, than lose customers for the long hold up. It’s just common courtesy 😉 check out in cosmetics or photo where you won’t hold up lines.

    • Kirsten

Demeya I agree with you. When I am doing several transactions I always go to the cosmetics counter, they are also more coupon friendly. If someone comes in line behind me I let them go ahead and get in the back of the line, its common courtesy!

      • Leticia

My Walgreens cosmetics counter is only open on Sat. And only allow 1 transaction per customer per day.. =(

  32. gam3rchic

Did this deal today, only 2 boxes of toothpaste were left on the shelves!!! :O So I got my two and when I checked out (at the cosmetics counter like a good couponer! ;p) and the catalina machine spit out the second RR the cashier looked so surprised! She asked how I knew b/c she had seen me in the oral care aisle carefully checking UPC codes and wondering what I was doing LOL! I gave her the name of this website and heartily recommended it to her! She is a fellow couponer but doesn’t like the sites she goes to. I told her this one is the best! I’ve saved so much money from this website and I’ve used other websites, but this is the best one by FAR!!! Thank you Collin and all the readers of this blog that contribute unknown deals for us all to share. I’m starting graduate school in the fall with 2 children under the age of 2 and every dollar I save helps me SO MUCH!!! 😀

  33. Christina

Thanks Collin! This deal worked for me in WI today. Your site has been a great help!

  34. Kelly

I got it! I was surprised there was any left but I was able to get 2 of them. But the bummer was – THEY HAVE HALLOWEEN CANDY OUT!!! I am not ready for summer to end!

  35. Jo-Ann

Thank you Jeannie & Collin! Worked great!

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hip hip hooray!!! A girl gave me two .75 cent coupons for this crest coupons deal. So I ended up getting two tubes of toothpaste for $4.50 before my employee discount and then gained $5 in register rewards. Thanks so much whoever you are for sharing your coupons with me. So happy 🙂

  37. lisa

Thank you! it worked like a charm! I always go to the cosmetic counter and they are so awesome to me, and I always have muliple transactions.

  38. Elaine

Yes Score I went today and thanks for the UPC codes, because they did not have any signs up advertising it. Paid OOP $5.01 and recieved $2 and $3 RR.

    Yes

  39. gd513

does anyone know if this deal is working today? (8/18) I would love to score this on my way home from work!

    • Katie

Yes, it is. I just got back and it worked for me! Instead of paying $5 for the Triaminic I needed, I paid $4.50 for the two toothpastes, then used the $5 in RR for the Triaminic. Awesome!

  40. Brenda

Didn’t work for me BUT my flier says get a $2 RR when you buy 2 but it printed a $3. Could I call Catalina and get my $2 because technically I did not get what was advertised? I’ve never called the Catalina network so don’t know how it works.

    WEIRD!

And BTW I can’t stand when ppl put things back in the WRONG places. I grabbed a 8 oz toothpaste, the box was the same size, but didn’t notice it wasn’t the same! Exchanged it and got it right. But only the $3 not the $2 too!

    • Kristen

the store i went to didn’t have the right one, but i did get a bigger size becuase my region got the $1 off 1 coupon. they were 2 for $5 – $2 for coupons, and I also got a $3 RR instead of the advertised $2. I’m going hit up the walgreens by my house on my way home to see if they have the smaller one instock thats giving 2 RR 🙂

  41. Courtnie

The deal worked for me a couple of hours ago. Yay!!! Thanks so much for the heads up, Collin! 🙂

  42. Tina

Yippee!!! I was shocked that the shelf was almost full of toothpaste! I only go to Wags if the deal is great & I have another reason to go to town…the closest one is 30 min. Anyway, I went in expecting to leave empty handed. Instead I paid $4.92 after MQ’s & got a$3 & $2RR! Thanks for the heads up on this deal!

  43. kylie

Does anyone know if this deal is still working today?? (8/20)

    • Tisha

not sure. I’m gonna try it today!

  44. julie

This worked for me tonight! Awesome!
