I totally agree. Gander Mountain is a terrible company. If I make a mistake, say I forget to pay my credit card on time, I get hit with a late fee I have to pay. Individuals must pay for their mistakes, but apparently companies don’t have to. Not fair and I will never do business with them again. They now have my credit card info, email, address etc and they will not honor our agreement..I gave them money and my information and they were suppose to send me slippers for the price indicated. I got an email saying my order was being processed and then one today saying sorry….the price has changed and the order is cancelled. Not fair!
When i placed my order it said the slippers were backordered and my card WOULD NOT be charged until they were back in stock and ready to ship. Well today they withdrew the money from my account, but also sent me an email they were cancelling my order. The money has cleared my account. What the heck is up with this company- seems they have no idea what they are doing. They take money they say they won’t and then cancel orders. This had better not be a hassle to get a refund for something they cancelled due to their mistake, they certainly had no probelm taking my money when they said they wouldn’t. I sent an email we will see what happens. I did let them know with so many blogs out their and 1000’s who read them daily this could damage them way more the any money they would have lost. they could have atleast tried to compromise and offer a credit for a future order or atleast 1/2 off the slippers, but no- nothing. well that is what they will get from me from this day forward- nothing, no business, never!

But I just remembered that I used the Bill Me Later payment so they don’t have any of my credit card info! YAY! LOL! Wish I could have gotten the slippers though. I’m a closet-slipper-freak. LOL!
I called the company this morning and was told that my card wasn’t actually charged, it had a temporary authorization placed on it for the order. Their systems are currently down, but I was told the temporary authorization should be removed within 48 hours. Hope this helps someone else!
just got an email that said that the price was incorrect in the ad and that they cancelled my order due to their misprint
