It’s Mega Swagbucks Friday + 100 Points for New Members (Through 10/3)
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Friday, September 30th, 2011 at 8:00 am.
Yay…it’s Friday! I just want to remind you that today is Mega Swagbucks Friday, which means you may be able to score more Swagbucks than normal just by searching the web, something we all do on a regular basis!
Plus, if you’re a new member, you’ll start off with 30 Swagbucks just for signing up AND through 11:59 PT on 10/3 you can enter the code BIGTIMEBUCKS during sign up and you’ll snag an additional 70 points, so a total of 100 points just for signing up! And whenever you add a profile picture, you’ll earn 15 Swagbucks and just for liking them on Facebook you’ll earn 5 more Swagbucks!
If you’re new to Swagbucks, here are a few ways to earn Swagbucks…
* Searching the web
If yours is a winning search, you will see a “Congratulations” screen featuring your Swag Bucks award immediately above your search results; you will never be directed away from your search. You can win multiple Swag Bucks every day; Swag Bucks can be won in denominations ranging from 1 – 1,000.
* Taking Surveys
Each survey that you chose to engage with may have a different Swag Bucks payout. Completing “deeper profiles” helps Swag Bucks alert you only to surveys for which you qualify and typically enables you to complete more targeted surveys which have significantly higher Swag Bucks payouts.
* Voting in Daily Polls
Snag 1 Swag Buck per day for voting in the daily poll.
* Watching videos
Swag Bucks are awarded randomly via Swag Bucks TV. Not every video you watch will earn you Swag Bucks, but just like Swag Bucks search, every video you watch is a chance to earn.
* Completing Special Offers
To ensure that an offer has been completed, follow the instructions provided for each individual offer. The offer needs be completed in the same session and all information required to complete the offer MUST be accurate. The majority of offers will credit your Swag Bucks account within 20 minutes. However, the estimated wait time varies from offer to offer. Some may take a few hours or a couple of days before final confirmation is received.
*Playing Games
Swagbucks recently released FREE Swagbucks Games… find a game you like, play for free AND you’ll be eligible to earn bonus Swag Bucks just for playing!! There are two ways to be rewarded for playing games (1) Play games for free and you will randomly earn from 1-5 Swag Bucks (2) Buy into tournaments where you risk a small amount of Swag Bucks for the chance to earn a large amount. Just login or register and click on the “Earn” tab, then in the drop down menu choose “Games”.
* Finding Swag Codes
Swag Codes are strings of alphanumeric text that you can apply for instant Swag Bucks. Swag Codes can appear anywhere, and at any time, throughout the Swag Bucks network including the Swagbucks newsletter, any Swag Bucks powered Search&Win Site; the Official Swag Bucks blog, Facebook Fan Page, Twitter page, Flickr page; and affiliated partner sites. Swag Codes can be redeemed by entering the codes into the Swag Codes box on your My Account page.
* Sharing Your Birthday
Be sure that you enter your birthday in the account details and you’ll snag 50 Swag Bucks on the big day!
You may be wondering, how can I use my Swagbucks or what can I purchase?

Swag Bucks can be used to purchase apparel, kitchen items, electronics, gift cards and lots more in the Swag Store! My personal favorite item is a $5 Amazon e-Card for only 450 Swag Bucks! Plus, Swagbucks recently added NEW rewards, including O’Charley’s eGift Cards, Brinker International eGift Cards (valid at Chili’s, Macaroni Grill, and more), Home Depot gift cards, as well as eGift cards to Fandango, Home Depot, Rixty, CVS, Overstock, Lands End, Cabelas, and more!
Happy Searching!
* Stay tuned on Monday 10/3 as Swagbucks is having a Swagbucks Extravaganza where you can earn an additional 60 points throughout the day!

I don’t get “1 Swag Buck per day just for heading over to the Survey page.” Do they still offer that?
Faydra says:
You get a point for being disqualified from surveys (up to 5 per day) instead. I love swagbucks. I found out about it from here. This month I have earned 75 in amazon gift cards!
Collin says:
Oops…I think they actually don’t offer that anymore.
Thanks!
bfam says:
But they will credit you 1 SB for surveys that you don’t qualify for (up to 5 per day). Better than nothing!
couponlovingmommy says:
thanks! didn’t know that!
JEANNIE says:
One more way to earn SBs is to print your coupons from their site and after you redeem them, they give you 10 SBs per coupon redemption. They generally have the same coupons that coupons.com has so I just go there to print them out. It takes a few weeks to see them on your account but it is an easy way to get SBs.
couponlovingmommy says:
when I’m already on the computer, I play the swagbucks tv in the background–3 swagbucks for every 10 clips and I get caught up on fashion trends and celebrity gossip!
melissa says:
I have to say Swagbucks is addicting!! I have been a member for a little over a month and have already cashed out for a $10 CVS GC and 2 $5 Amazon Gift Cards!!
Another way to get points is by doing Tasks. Some are hard, but I found a few that are super easy. Each page completed is a x% (most are 10%, but the ones I did a few days ago were 16% per page). Once you get to 100% you get SB (20 or more, depending on the task) And you can stop at anytime and the meter remembers where you were.
melissa says:
oh, don’t forget to do the NOSO offers everyday. You don’t have to sign up for anything, just skip each offer for a quick 2 SB at the end.
Shirleen says:
How do you skip the offers?? I tried it just now and it wanted information and I couldn’t figure out how to skip.
melissa says:
at the bottom of each offer page should be submit or skip. Some of the diabetic offers are tricky, make sure to scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page to skip.
Shirleen says:
Awesome!!! Thanks!
TGND says:
This changed recently. Now you get swagbucks for each page of tasks, not the entire 10 pages at a time. But they only transfer over when you have earned 20 swagbucks. So you can jump around and do just 1 or 2 pages of several different tasks. This is great because if you get sick of a task, you don’t have to finish it.
Micki says:
I don’t see a place to enter my birthdate. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I’m looking in My Settings but I don’t see it anywhere.
TGND says:
The videos pay 3 swagbucks per every 10 videos watched. There’s a meter up in the top right hand corner that increases by 10% approximately 70 seconds into the video. At that point you can skip ahead and watch the next video if you want, rather than watching the whole video. You can fill the meter up to 25 times a day (75 swagbucks).
The games pay 2 swagbucks for every 2 games you play. You have to play for atleast 90 seconds for it to count. After each game click the ‘back to games’ button in the top right corner. You can get this up to 10 times a day for a total of 20 swagbucks.
I have to say I love swagbucks – I’m up to $75 in amazon credit this month ($5×5, and $50), a $10 cvs gift card I won in a sweeps, and already have enough swagbucks towards another 3 $5 amazon gift certificates for next month. I’ll be doing every last bit of my christmas shopping on amazon this year using my free cash!

I want to love this b/c so many people rave about it, but I absolutely hate their search engine! It pulls up so much junk before I can even find the thing I’m actually searching for!!
