Hi! Free K cups sounds good to me, but first a couple of questions, I noticed that there are a few flavors that are free after rewards but is the limit two per variety of k cups or just two of any combined? My second question is that I stopped shopping Office Depot when they closed all the stores in my area. Therefore I am not sure how this works, can I use my rewards online once I receive them? Do they automatically post to my account once I buy eligible products? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    • Collin says:

      Hi Em!

Great question! The fine print simply states a limit of 2 of each item per member per day. In the case of the K-Cups, I am honestly not sure if that means you can purchase 2 of each flavor of K-Cups per 2 day or just 2 of the K-Cups total (each of the different flavors of K-Cups has a different item # so it seems you could buy 2 of each flavor per day)? I tried to call the customer service dept but they are closed today. :(

In terms of the Rewards, they are paid quarterly in the form of an Office Depot Rewards Certificate when you earn a minimum of $10 in Rewards. Hope this helps! :D

      • alicia says:

I guess i will just get two per day to be on the safe side. I dont want to order 8 packs and then only 2 count.

        • Mistercheap says:

these will go out of stock quickly!!! DO not order just two total, order TWO BOXES of EACH and every flavor you want NOW!

I do OD deals all the time, did the same deal last year and it’s two boxes per SKU.

BE SURE TO ENTER YOUR REWARDS NUMBER WHERE SHOWN during the checkout process so you get credited properly.

      • Mistercheap says:

        Mistercheap here!

Yes, it’s limit two of EACH SKU per day. So order 2 of each flavor you like per day. It’s not two total…can be as many as 10 boxes (5 different types x 2 boxes each type)

        • kelly says:

Are you sure it is per sku? hate to be stuck with tons of extra coffee.

          • Mistercheap says:

            yes, it is per SKU.

            • Jay says:

I did this last year a couple times the week they had the K-cups on sale and they def. allow you to purchase 2 of each flavor (sku) per day for up to 7 days. They did run out on Mon or Tues if memory serves me correctly so the flavors you see now may not be there mid-week.

            • kelly says:

Thank you. I ordered some online and will try going to the store tomorrow. Thanks Mister Cheap!!!

  • Kathy says:

I think you have to spend as much as you get in Worklife Rewards in order to receive them. Is that right, does anyone know? In other words, if I bought K-cups at $11.99, do I have to send $11.99 in items without rewards to get that? I’m thinking I do. Still a good deal, but I got trapped w/ a bunch of rewards “held hostage” before because I didn’t know this, I think, so just ant to clarify.

    • Collin says:

      Hi Kathy!

If you purchase the 100% free after Rewards items stated above, you do NOT need to purchase additional items to qualify for the rewards. Keep in mind that purchases made with Rewards or Merchandise Cards/Certificates do NOT qualify for Rewards.

      • Kathy says:

THANKS so much for the reply, Collin. I guess it’s different w/ ink recycling. I had $50 credit for ink cartridges, but was told I had to spend at least $50 to get it. I did that, then was told I had to earn at least $10 in Worklife Rewards to receive it, so I was really frustrated. This sounds more straight forward, as long as you don’t pay w/ rewards!

        • Francoise says:

I had the SAME THING happen to me. VERY CONFUSING. I thought I had $75 to spend from recycling ink cartridges, but it never posted and customer service told me so many different things. Grrrrr.

I’d love to get some of the free deals in this post, but the whole experience with the cartridges just really “stuck in my craw” so to speak, and I’m generally easy going when it comes to stuff like this.

          Okay, I feel better.

          • Kathy says:

I totally relate!! I just checked my acct and found they didn’t give me all my rewards, so if I don’t get it resolved I’m out over $60. This deal is SO tempting, but after finding that out I’m not sure I want to deal w/ them. I guess I’ll see what their CS does, and that’ll determine whether I try it.

    • Mistercheap says:

no, that only applies to the ink recycling, not this deal.

For every dollar you spend in KCups shown, you’ll get back that amount in rewards.

Also go thru SHOPDISCOVER to earn 5% cash back on TOP of this deal.

      • Jay says:

There’s a pretty good $10 off 50 coupon code active for this deal too. it is: 24142648 . Keep in mind though that if you plan on getting free shipping for spending $50, that you must be at or above $50 after using the code.

        • yangzi says:

As I understand, if you use a coupon for 100% free items, you only get the actual amount you paid back instead of money maker (more money back in your account). Correct?

          • Heather says:

Yes, correct, but it’s less out of pocket up front as well.

          • Dorinne says:

Right, if the item is $6.99 you will get $6.99 in your rewards. The other thing to keep in mind…you must earn a certain amount in rewards during a quarter in order to get your rewards. So, if you get one package of batteries and that’s it and you don’t buy other stuff from them to earn more rewards, you will not get the reward for what you paid for the batteries. It’s all outlined on the worklife rewards site.

  • Stacy says:

I can’t seem to find the 3-drawer cart in the link. Anyone else having that issue?

    • Pam says:

In the ad I received it gives the numbers 551-312 and 112-923
I was only able to purchase the black ones since the white ones were out of stock in my area. I have never purchased on line from Office Depot to receive my rewards but thought I would this time instead of making the trip into the store. I am keeping the ad to make sure I get all my rewards later. I bought over 50$ so that I would get free shipping.

  • Delaney says:

Say if I purchase $100 worth of product, how is the money refunded after the rebates? Is it in the form of an Office Depot reward, or just a check/credit to my CC? Thanks!

    • Collin says:

In terms of the Rewards, they are paid quarterly in the form of an Office Depot Rewards Certificate when you earn a minimum of $10 in Rewards. Hope this helps! :D

    • Pam says:

If you buy the items that are 100% rewards (don’t forget to scan your rewards card) then you will get 100% back of what you bought to then USE ON PRODUCTS AT OFFICE DEPOT. It’s like you are getting these select products for free. (only the 100% back in Rewards products) —

    • Pam says:

If you spent $11.99 buying one of the coffee K-cups this week (100% reward product) then after the quarter is done you will get a paper certificate for 11.99 to use in their store!
      Hope this helps.

      • Mistercheap says:

or online! and free shipping at $50. You can redeem your certificates to get more KCups online too! so if you buy $100 now in Kcups,
you can order $100 more in Kcups FREE SHIPPING in January when you get your rewards.

If nothing else, it’s like getting the KCups 50% off when the smoke clears. (pay now, get another box free later!)

    • fran says:

It’s actually a gift card that you receive in rewards, at least that’s what I got in the past.
And as Collin stated above, if you use a rewards card to purchase any of these items, you won’t get the rewards for these items.

  • DeAnna says:

I took advantage of this offer last year when they offered it. You can buy 2 of each flavor each day. I just ordered a bunch online just now and used a coupon code to get $30 off my purchase of $150 or more. I did the same thing last year. Using this code only helps my out of pocket expenses. This is the very beginning of the 3rd quarter so you won’t get your rewards back until February or March. I had some major issues with them crediting my rewards account for my purchases last time and had to follow up with them probably 10 times. They were very nice but it was a pain in the butt dealing with it. HTH

    • DeAnna says:

Also you cannot use previous rewards earned to pay for offers. They look at the rewards like coupons. So if you bought k-cups for 11.99 now and used $10 in rewards you would only get back 1.99.

      • Mistercheap says:

that is correct, rewards DO NOT ROLL<

pay with credit card online or cash/cc in store.

You can use your rewards on FREE AFTER REBATE items and get the rebates back, just not the rewards items. Rebates and Rewards are NOT the same thing.

    • Krafty says:

      Hi Deanna,

Where did you get the $30 coupon code?

      Thanks!

  • Mindy says:

Does anyone know if you can use these rewards to purchse gift cards for restaurants and other stores like you can at Office Max?

    • Mistercheap says:

No, and you can no longer do that at Office Max either. They changed their policy a few months ago. Sorry!

    • Collin says:

Per the Office Depot FAQ page, Rewards Certificate(s) can be used on purchases of merchandise that Office Depot sells in-store, online and by phone, excluding any type of prepaid gift, merchandise, debit, phone or service cards.

  • eric says:

i think there was a $3 printable coupon for energizer batteries this past week. wonder if they will work with this deal?

    • Mistercheap says:

yes, but if you do, it will subtract $3 from your rewards amount. You might want to save the $3 coupon for a MM sale-scenario at CVS that might come along (Energizer Batts are often on an ECB or RR promo at CVS/Wags)

  • Michelle says:

I bought a lot of stuff with the 100% rewards in July. I looked at the website and it gives you a table showing when you’ll get the rewards back. For July, it says Nov 15-30. How long do you have to redeem it?

  • Tomoko says:

    I found $10 off/ $50 code ” 40320891″ and don’t forget to go through shopathome.comor ,Ebates.com :)

  • jesse says:

what is this $10 ‘small handling fee’???? no way!

  • Sarah says:

Can you use the coupon codes above and still get the rewards money back?

    • Mistercheap says:

yes, the rewards paid out are reduced by the amount of the coupon use (but it lowers your upfront out of pocket spending)

  • Sarah says:

Also, are any of the K cups on the page 100% back with rewards? For example, the chai latte is 16 count and it’s $12.99 but is it the same deal?

  • fairy dust says:

well, I just signed up for a worklife rewards number and placed an order. fingers crossed :) thanks for posting about this – I never would’ve even thought to look at the office depot circular for k-cups!

  • Kathie M says:

I just got off live chat with OD and asked if we were allowed 2 of each UPC or 2 of an item total (then I used the K-cup example). After about 15 minutes here’s our complete converstaion (the origional question never shows up as you have to type it to get onto a live chat).

Diana: Good Afternoon Kathe . I will be happy to assist you .
Diana: Please give me few moments, while I check that for you Kathe
    Kathie: Thanks:)
Kathie: What Did you find out? 2 total or 2 of each?
Diana: I am here checking the item for you .Please give me few more moments.
Diana: Thank you for your patience Kathie
Kathie: Not a problem, appreciate the help…want to order correctly so there is no problem in the future!
Diana: You are allowed only 2 total K-cups per day .
    Kathie: Thanks!

Collin, did you get ahold of anyone at OD with something different to say on this matter?

    • Collin says:

      Hi Kathie!

I just checked the Office Depot Facebook page and here is what someone asked:

Facebook Fan-I saw your wonderful 100% back worklife rewards for this week! Thanks! QUESTION: when you say limit of 2 of each item, does that mean 2 total of any of the K-Cups? Or does it mean there’s a limit of 2 of each flavor, since they’re all a different item number?? If I buy 2 of one kind & 2 of another flavor, will I get 100% back on ALL 4 boxes?

Office Depot Annmarie – This limit is two per item number. Thanks!

Hope this helps (or maybe it confuses you even more?!).

  • Tiff says:

What happens if an item is out of stock? Can I still buy it and get the rewards?

    • kim says:

I *could* be wrong, but I’m almost certain that if it’s out of stock, it will NOT give you rewards on it. Anyone else have different info?

  • fairydust says:

I just received my Office Depot rewards summary and every single purchase I made for the k-cups is listed as non-qualifying. I’m supposed to get $0 back in rewards even though I followed the rules and bought $143 in k-cups. I made only 2 purchases during the week of 10/2-10/8, and each transaction was for only 2 boxes of each of three different SKU/flavors, and I definitely entered my Worklife Rewards number as part of each purchase….

I don’t understand! How do I go about fighting this?

    • fairydust says:

Okay, maybe I’m just doing my usual knee-jerk overreacting thing because the fine print says to allow 6 weeks for the rewards to post. It just unnerved me to get the statement via email showing $0 Rewards even though my k-cup purchases are listed when I click on purchase history (and each one shows my purchase as “non-qualifying”).

Will this fix itself after 6 weeks or should I be concerned? :)

      Thanks!

      • jenna says:

I have the same thing. I see where it says up to 6 weeks but them showing up unqualified worries me after talking to some of my co workers.

        • fairydust says:

Well I just received this reponse from Office Depot Worklife Rewards:

“In response to your request, if you purchase under 100% back in rewards please allow 6 weeks for rewards amount get update in your account.”

          So I guess I won’t panic just yet :)

  • What if you lose your rewards card? Can it be replaced?

  • Just as a side note, I always recycle and we always get our reward certificates on time. Saves my library a lot of money. We also have a tax exempt card for purchases made for the library.
