  • shanna_saves says:

Man I had such a issue trying to use my coupons at Target today. I had a few of the Tide coupons from P&G and I wanted to use them to get myself some trial size detergent. Now the coupon did not exculde trial sizes and I made sure to the amount that was listed. When I get to check out, the cashier told me that I could no use them! She said that I would be getting them for amost free and she could not take them. Another cashier told her that it was fine to take them and she tool the .50 ones but not the $1.00 or $2.00 one. I was mad as crap inside, but kept my cool on the outside. I finally went to the manager who rang me up and let me use all of my coupons….end result; 5 travel sizes of Tide detergent for .85 (before tax). Well worth hassle!

    • Michelle says:

I had the same problem with the travel size St. Ives facial scrub. The Target coupons had no size listed and the cashier said they could not take coupons for travel size products. I told them I had done it dozens of times before. They said it had to match the products in the picture. Thats Crap! I was not prepared for I had left my Target coupon policy at home. My cashier asked another cashier and never would budge. A line was forming so I just didnt get the items. I should have asked for a manager!!

      • Amber R. says:

Nevermind found the printable one! Now I just need to figure out this mobile coupon thing

      • Anna m says:

I have the target app and you can input any phone number and they send it to your phone but I’m petty sure yo have to have Internet capabilites to open up the link in your web browser

    • Rachel says:

I do, and I love them! They send one text every 2-3 weeks, and one reminder a couple days before the coupons expire. Each text has a link to a webpage that will list all the coupons and a bar code for the cashier to scan.

      • Felinda says:

I just signed up a few minutes ago. Really easy!! You need a smartphone because the cashier will need to scan the barcode attached to the text msg. I can’t wait to use the mobile coupons and stack with MQs…..love, love TARGET!!

        • Melissa says:

Nope, don’t need a smartphone. I don’t have one. Used the www. address it gave me and typed it in my computer. It brought up the barcode there and I printed it off. Husband took it today with the other coupon and we got the transformer for 34 cents!!! So anyone can get the mobile coupons. :)

  • Melissa says:

Does anyone know if the Venus Holiday Gift Set (http://hip2save.com/2011/09/get-paid-to-buy-venus-holiday-gift-set-after-rebate.html) would also count towards the P&G rebate?

  • Mitch says:

I love all the new coupons on their site that came out today!
And, I forgot my receipt and Target was able to locate the purchases for the return by just using my credit card.
    This is my favorite store.
    Thanks for the matchups!

  • Annette says:

FYI – The large “laydown” bags of Skittles are $2 also, so if you have the $1 mftg coupon, it does work out to be $1 per bag. YUM! Great deal :)

  • Mindy says:

The Target mobile coupons work like this: (You need to have a smartphone for this I believe)
You get two texts per month, with different coupons. Sometimes you get reminder texts if they are about to expire and you haven’t used them, but I would say you don’t get more than maybe 4 texts per month between the reminders and the actual coupon texts. When you get the text, you click on the link within the text and it brings up the coupons and one barcode thingy for the cashier to scan. There’s only one barcode for all the coupons as opposed to having a different barcode for each item. Here’s the link to sign up (it’s on the bottom right side of the screen):
    http://sites.target.com/site/en/spot/page.jsp?title=text_alerts
I got the Transformers deal today by using the $5/1 mobile coupon and the $5/1 (over $5.99 purchase) manufacturers coupon (on Target coupon site). There was some confusion with the cashier at first because I wasn’t thinking and had him scan the mobile coupon first which brought the $9.99 toy down to $4.99 and the manufacturers coupon says “$5 off any Transformers purchase of $5.99 or more”, but it did go through. My advice would be to have them scan the manufacturers coupon first, bringing the total down to $4.99 and then the $5/1 mobile coupon which brings the total to zero. Good luck!

  • Colleen says:

I tried to sign up for Target mobile coupons, filled out the info but there is no submit button. How do I get my info sent to them?

  • Valerie says:

My mobile coupons did not work for the olay and the m&m’s. The manager had to give me a credit instead. I bought the correct items and I still had an issue.

    • Deb says:

I did the Olay facial wipes today…
my mobile $3. Q did not scan either. She entered it manually after trying to scan-no problem.
I bought 4 pks Extra gum and the Olay…paid .27 cents OOP!!!!

  • Jennifer says:

Didn’t the $1.50 coupon for Optic White already expire, Collin? Mine expired yesterday 10/1, so you might want to update that deal!

  • irene says:

Slightly off topic — has anyone gotten the Target beauty bag with samples and Qs we signed up for, but couldn’t get confirmation? Hoping it comes because last year’s was great!

  • andez98 says:

Can anyone clarify how to use the Target Mobile coupons? Can you only use 1 of the offers per transaction? I had 3 items from my phone, in fact the exact items pictured, and the register refused to give me the discount on 2 of the items, the Olay and the Merona top. It did credit me for the Transformers. The clerk scanned the phone after the mfg coupons. Even the service desk couldn’t make it work. It said already used, but the clerk had problems scanning the phone, and might have caused problems. I just got the coupons this morning, and did not use any of them before this transaction. I wondered if each item on a mobil coupon must be rung up seperately? (After 20 minutes, they did void the transaction and manually entered the $6 as a store coupon.)

    • Caitlyn says:

The same thing happened to me. The mobile coupon worked for the transformers but not for the Olay so they entered manually as store coupon. Maybe you do have to do separate transactions with the mobile coupons? Anyone know for sure?

      • Toni says:

I’ve been using mobile for several month and sometimes there are just glitches with the coupons in general. Everytime I have to read the barcode number to them or they just enter it as a store coupon.

  • Rachel F. says:

I was wondering if there is ANY “fine print” about the PG rebate? Is it before or after coupons?!? Thank you!

  • shanna_saves says:

Excited to see Target has a coupon for Tazo Tea! Love this tea, time to stock up!

  • Shannon B.e says:

Has anyone been able to find the trial size One-a-Day women’s vitamins to use the coupons for. I went to two different Targets and no one could tell me if they carried them. Thanks In Advance!

  • jennifer0249 says:

For the Kotex deal is that a typo or do you really receive two $5 target gift cards?

  • Allison says:

anyone know about how much the Downy Unstopables usually run at Target? Thanks!!!

    • Mrs.Hall says:

In the Walmart flier they are listed as $6.97. If you have a Target near a Walmart they tend to try and follow the same suit. Mine are right across the street from each other. If they are not matching..I seen them at over $7.00 at Target. Price may vary where your located though :)

    • laura says:

I got a free package in the mail when they first came out so was curious how much they were. I think they were $6.99!

  • Kelly says:

On the Target Mobile coupons I got it says at the bottom not to be combined with any other offers or coupons, so can you still get the Transformer deal since it’s saying you cannot combine both coupons?

  • Kim says:

Sorry for the silly question – but do you need to have a smartphone to use the mobile coupons, or will they work with a regular cell phone?

  • Brenda says:

Is the M&Ms coupon only available if you have a smart phone?

  • Melissa says:

The M&M’s target mobile coupon says pretzel M&Ms. Does anyone know if you can get the other M&Ms instead with the coupon?

  • melissa says:

I have several $2 off any Glade Scented Oil Candles holder (from Redbook, Shape, BH&G & Parents October issues)

    5.98 for 2
    less $4 (2 $2 q’s)
    less $1.50/2 Target IP
    = .48 (or .24 each!!)

  • Elizabeth413 says:

First I would like to thank Collin for this WONDERFUL website! THANK YOU! I am new to couponing and thought I would try out the Target deals this week. I plan on buying 11 items today with a combination of the Target Mobile Coupons, Target.com coupons and manufacturer’s coupons. Can anyone tell me what order to give the cashier my coupons? Do I have them scan my phone first, then manufactuer’s coupons, then target.com coupons or should i have them scan my phone last? Just want to make it easier in the checkout process. Thank you!

  • Morganne says:

    Yay, for Target!

  • Paulina says:

Can you use your target mobile coupons twice? For example say I use the transformers one day and then I go back the next day and use it again? Are we allowed to do that?

    • MelanieC says:

No after you use that specific it once…..it is no longer available, but the others will still ring up.

      • alyssa l says:

I was able to reuse the coupon at customer service and it went through when they typed in the upc code on the bottom. I was able to roll it 5 times and got xmas presents for all the boys in my family. Yay for transformers!!

  • Vee says:

Could not find the Q for the Up&Up foil. Is it included in the food storage Q by any chance??

  • Stephanie W. says:

I’m not sure if it was just my store or not but you might want to check out the Sobe’s – Today the Sobe Pure (Grape, Watermelon, and Pineapple) were on clearance for $.71 – using the coupon in the paper this week ($1 off 5) they end up being $.51 (originally $1.02) a bottle – not bad

  • Maggs says:

I tried the covergirl face products deal – I grabbed two bronzers priced at $3.94 at my store and used the $8/2 coupon. However, the cashier said that she couldn’t take them because the coupon was worth more than the product.
Normally the computer just adjusts the price right?? Because she wouldn’t even scan them, just told me no, she couldn’t take them. I didn’t argue, figure I’ll go back and try again, but was just wondering if anyone else had any issues with that one?? Thanks!

    • MelanieC says:

Call corporate and ask….. They will give you a reference number if your claim is legit and you can call them if you have a problem in store.

    • Leah says:

According to Target’s coupon policy, “coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds value of the item after other discounts and coupons have been applied”. Print out a copy of their coupon policy and show it to them next time. They should be able to manually adjust it down to the amount of the items you are buying. With my experiences, sometimes the register will adjust the coupon amount or part of it. But oftentimes it will not, so the overage will apply to the rest of the things in your transaction. Depends on the cashier you get. Their coupon policy does state that they can’t give you cash back in instances where you have coupon overage. But they should not refuse you to use the coupon because the coupon is more than the cost of the item. If they have a problem with it being more they can adjust it down. Ask for a manager :) HTH

    • Michelle says:

      Try it at Walmart!

  • Justina says:

My Target would not let me get the Transformers deal, the printable coupon could not be used in conjunction with the mobile coupon. Totally bummed!

  • alyssa l says:

I had problems with the Target Mobile coupons too. I also purchased the Transformer and the M&M’s and the Olay. The Transformer coupon worked and the other two didn’t. I went to customer service and they took the other two off manually after about 15 minutes and three different people looking at it. Does anyone know if you can use more than one mobile coupon in the same purchase?

I just checked my mobile coupons and at the bottom under ”disclaimer” it states that “Target coupons and Mobile coupon discount cannot be combined on individual items. So with that being said, the Transformer Action figure is not free. I was hoping to get the item today. :(

When you purchase this the reciept shows a price of 4.99 due to the Target coupon but under that it shows a MFR coupon of 5.00 off 9.99. Anyone know if they will count this purchase as 4.99 or 9.99? My mom, sister and I all did this deal and would like to send all reciepts for the MIR but not sure if the total will be enough. Even if we have a fourth person’s reciept to submit if they use the 4.99 price it still would be under the 20.00.

Is anyone thinking of going back (people with only access to their phone) getting another toy just over 10 dollars, using a $5 manufacturers coupons, and mailing in for the rebate? Anyone have any other ideas???

Does Target allow you to use overage on other items now? I know they won’t pay it, but do they allow you to use it on other things in your cart?
