I had been entering for almost a week with no luck and I tried entering at 6:00pm central time yesterday and won!

My Walgreens Deals (& a Little Story)
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Thursday, October 27th, 2011 at 6:28 pm.

I went to Walgreens today and snagged a few great buys! I was pretty happy considering it’s the end of the week and there were still some great bargains left to score! And I was even more excited that I was able to snag my favorite bags of kettlecorn for only $0.99… and these were big bags! Just an FYI, though – this stuff is addicting!
Here’s the breakdown of what I purchased:
Two big 10.5oz bags of Popcorn, Indiana Kettlecorn on sale for $1.99
Used the $1/1 coupons found in the 9/25 SS
Final cost $0.99 per bag – $1.98 for both!
Two 7.25oz bags of Popcorn, Indiana Chipins on sale for $1.99
Used the $1/1 coupons found in the 9/25 SS
Final cost $0.99 per bag – $1.98 for both!
Four CoverGirl items
2 CoverGirl Loose powder products $5.99 each
1 CoverGirl blush $5.99
1 CoverGirl Concealer $5.49
Minus buy one get one 50% off sale (deducted $2.75 and another $3)
And minus 2 $8/2 coupons found in the 10/2 PG
Final cost for all 4 items – only $1.71
One Traditional Medicinals Organic Smooth Move Tea $5.99
Used the $1/1 coupon found in the July issue of All You mag.
Plus, used the $2/1 Walgreens coupon found in the November coupon booklet
Final cost $2.99
Total spent for all 9 items – $8.66 (+ tax)! Not too shabby!

OK… so now I have to tell you a little story. See the pictures above… well, as you’ll notice – the smaller, 4oz bags of Popcorn, Indiana are priced at $2.39 – which is higher than the large 10.5 oz bags, as they are on sale for only $1.99. You are saving a whopping $2.49 on these big bags just from the sale and that’s without throwing coupons into the mix! Wow!
As I was picking up my 2 large bags of popcorn (so excited to use the $1 coupons to sweeten the deal further!) a lady walked up behind me and I was shocked – she picked up the smaller bag of popcorn. I couldn’t help myself and I explained to her how it was a much better deal to score the larger 10 oz bag, as it was priced less and was filled with lots more yummy popcorn. She stated that she didn’t need that much and grabbed the small bag and walked off.
Oh and I forgot to mention, I did offer her a $1 coupon for the popcorn to entice her even more to purchase the bigger family size bag. I mean $0.99 – who can resist that price… well, she did.
This really made me think… but still, as I type this, I cannot wrap my head around why in the world she would want the smaller bag since it was priced higher. I get she didn’t need that much, but I guess I still don’t really get it. I don’t get it at all. Could anyone help enlighten me?!
