Amazon: Tide 50 oz 2-Pack Only 8.17 Shipped
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Tuesday, November 1st, 2011 at 10:29 am.
If you have yet to make use of the $2 Tide coupon available on Amazon, here is yet another deal you can score (note that the deal I posted Sunday is no longer available)…
Currently (not sure how long this will last), you can score a 2-pack of Tide Free and Gentle Liquid 50 oz bottles for ONLY $8.17 shipped! That makes each 50 oz bottle only $4.09!
The 2-pack is marked down to only $11.97 AND if you scroll down you’ll see a $2 coupon to clip . Plus, choose Subscribe & Save (on the right) to score an additional 15% off + FREE shipping! Your final cost will come to just $8.17!

* Remember, when you sign up for Subscribe and Save, you are under NO obligation whatsoever and can cancel at anytime. To cancel or modify your Subscribe and Save items, just click on “my account” and then “subscriptions” and with the click of a button you can cancel and/or modify anything you want.
Hurry, as I’m guessing this won’t last long.
(Thanks, Sue L.!)

awesome deal! I got 2, thank you!
Julie says:
I always use half of what tide says to use per load, it works just as well and doubles the loads you get. So, with that in mind, 128 loads for 8.17 is around .6 per load. Great price!
Kimberli says:
Great tip, thanks! I normally use All Free & Clear but for a great deal, I’m willing to try Tide Free & Gentle and with using half of the suggested amount, it does make this a great deal!!
And the S&S is still available on the 4 pk of 100 oz bottles, so I’ll be grabbing that one instead!
Ashley says:
I am not seeing the coupon. Where did you all find it? Thank you!
kathy says:
the coupon was in the 10/30 paper
Amanda says:
No she is talking about the coupon on the website i would assume, since this is a web deal.
misty says:
click on the link above to access amazon, scoll to the bottom of the page. You will see 2.00 off amazon coupon, click on clipped and it will be added at checkout. hope that helps!

The 50 ounce bottles are the ones advertised as 32 loads?
I normally buy Purex which goes on sale for about $1.99-$2.99 (and often has a $1/1 coupon available) for the 32 load bottles and I can often get Arm & Hammer for about $2.50/32 loads… so I’m thinking this isn’t a great deal for those of us who don’t have a strong preference for Tide…right?
Anna says:
Thanks for sharing! I was wondering the same thing; thanks for the confirmation.
Julie says:
If you think of it this way, you might see it as a better deal. Purex and arm and hammer you have to use the full amount suggested to get your clothes clean. at $2.50 for 32 that’s about 8cents a load versus tide you can use half of the suggested amount and it works great so 64 loads per bottle which is 6 cents a load. Just depends on if you use the full amount of half the amount per load. I always buy tide since it cleans great with half the amount and I can get double the amount of loads and it usually comes out cheaper than buying purex, etc.
MommySpendsLess says:
That’s a great point Julie but I don’t see my family remembering to adjust the amount of detergent based on the brand so for me personally, price per ounce (or per advertised “load”) is more important than “cleaning power” especially since we have indoor jobs so we’re really refreshing our clothes more than trying to remove dirt, grease, heavy sweat, etc.
Spartacus says:
I use to work for a company that made private label detergent (like for example if you buy the store brand — Kroger detergent… that is private label) Tide was always held as the best detergent out there, and they aimed to replicate the product smell, look etc., but could not replicate the quality. Tide uses more expensive sufactants (that’s what gets your clothes clean) than many other brands, which is why it costs more, and is also better quality. In the case of Tide, you get what you pay for. I always buy Tide, and always use less of the product – my clothes always come out clean. Just my two cents.
James says:
By the comments section on Amazon’s S&S program that it doesn’t run that smoothly and prices can greatly increase. Careful monitoring may be needed.
sarah says:
you can just do one order then cancel. I have Used S&S for a long time no issues.
Dania says:
I’ve used S&S forever and never had a single issue. Cancelling at anytime is never a problem either
I do check my S&S accounts once a month, but that’s b/c I use Amazon so much. A quick check every once in awhile should put any fears to rest.
Michelle says:
I use subscribe and save for a monthly delivery and they always email you a reminder email that lists the new price (if there is one) about a week before they ship, so you can cancel before you are charged. The prices only fluctuate slightly.
Megan says:
I got this deal on Sunday, it’s an ok price that becomes great when I don’t have to take my kids to the store!
sarah says:
just a tip for those with Front load washers. I stopped using liquid Det. as i kept getting a mildew smell in the washer. I read up on it and everyone said use the powder. So i did a clean tablet switched to powder and ever since then no smell. just a tip. Use powder it will help prevent mildew smell in front loaders.
Angie says:
thx! ive been having the mildew-smelling prob so i will def try that!
Spartacus says:
You can also use Borax when you run a load of towels – Borax helps keep your front loader clean. Worked for me.
carol says:
Also if you run a very hot, empty load with a cup of vinegar that helps clean out the smells and any left over detergent. Actually this helps for any washer, front, top, dishwasher, etc.
Amanda says:
So can we unsubscribe as soon as we place the order or wait until it ships?
Jaden says:
I always wait until it ships just to be safe… But I have my preferences set so that when it ships I get an email, all I have to do is click over then and cancel. Works great every time!
Katherine says:
I was also wondering this, since it says that it doesn’t ship for 1-2 months….is it okay to wait until it ships? Or will it let me cancel as soon as I place the order, because I am scared I’ll forget to cancel later?

Yours is a single Tide, not a 2 pack…
almorris says:
That’s for a single bottle now. Now longer the 2-pack deal Collin posted ($4.09 per bottle).
Maria says:
The 4.09 per bottle is out of stock right now
Does anyone know if amazon restocks often?
I found a 2-pack 50-oz of the Tide original scent with ActiLift which would be $5.41 per bottle after discounts.
