I bought one last time when they were on sale for $15 and was very disappointed at their quality. Second time wearing and it already had those fuzzy balls all over my sleeves….

I think it’s fair to say you get what you pay for.
A jacket of decent quality would not be this low cost, except perhaps if Lands End or maybe LL Bean was having a season close-out. They have quality, well-made items.

I agree, not good quality at all. Also they take a long time to ship after they charge you. I ordered 2 jackets at the last sale. Only have received 1 at this time and it’s been a month and a half. No idea when the next 1 will arrive as Totsy will not respond to my emails or phone calls.
How warm was it? I need a warm coat because I live in Utah. Did you get a wool one?

Just as a heads up – I tried to take advantage of this deal the last time they had inexpensive coats, and I never received my order. The estimated shipping date was Oct 15th, so I finally contacted them this week, and they said there was a problem with my order and the item is now out of stock. My credit card should be refunded in 7-10 business days. Why they never contacted me to report the problem, I don’t know. They did credit my account $5 for the inconvenience, but I lost the free shipping on my first order even though it was never received.
This was my one and only experience ordering from Totsy, so maybe it was just a fluke, but I find it pretty disappointing. I do most of my shopping online and I have never been charged for something and not received it or immediate notification that it was unavailable.
I had a very similar experience-my kids never got their boots, and I never got info. that they were out of stock. A month and a week after my order, I got a filler pair of slippers I had ordered to get free shipping.
Customer Service was good when I called, but what was really frustrating was that they were still showing those boots as available during a sale two weeks later!
I’m not trying to be a negative nelly-I actually came to read the thread to see if others have had better experiences because I do think their stuff is super cute.
I guess I’m just not going to order anything I really Need.
Same exact thing happened to me. So frustrating, I was so excited for the boots. Plus no notification, none that whis would happen. This will be my last time ordering from them.
Yep, same experience here. I ordered two of these coats the last time they were on sale. I got one of them (two months later) and the other coat never arrived. I have been trying to contact someone at Totsy to get this resolved for a week now. It is a hit or miss with this company. You might get your coat…but best case scenario is it shows up on your doorstep in January. Not worth it.
I am confused with the sizing too! It says Junior Jacket Event, and yet there is an option on the drop-down button that says Moms and Dads. It is very confusing. Although the measurements are there, I do not sew so I am not very familiar with those terms.
if you have ever shopped in the juniors section of stores the sizes are just smaller them womens Im 33 and still shop in jrs
I am an XS in juniors, but the measurements are really quite confusing. If I can get at least an idea from a store, like at Forever 21 or elsewhere, that would help. I wear an XS-S there.
ive invited 2 friends that both bought the jacket – how long does it take to get credit to your account?
Their website says they will give you a credit after the product ships, but BEWARE.. shipping can take a while AND
(OOPS! didn’t mean to push enter) AND… I referred a friend and never got a credit, even weeks after her product shipped. I called customer service and they did finally put it through, but I thought it was kind of strange that I had to request it. (by that time I could no longer take advantage of free shipping cuz there’s a time limit on that)
I believe you aren’t credited until they make their first purchase. I was invited by a friend. I ended up having to e-mail them and complain about her not receiving credit. They credited her account, but it was a hassle..

Be careful with sizing. I ordered a wool coat a few weeks back and I can usually wear a medium but I got a large and apparently it was a junior’s large because it was WAY too small. I’m giving it as a Christmas present.
yup, I had the same problem as Kandice and there are NO returns…all sales are final and I paid quite a bit for it and it is poor quality as well…I contacted them and the best they could do was give me a 10 dollar credit…very disappointing…will probably NOT order clothes from them again unless it’s for my DD.

I ordered one the last time they had them on sale and I agree about the sizing. I usually wear a S but ordered a M since I am pregnant. Once I got the jacket it seems more like a S. Be sure to order a size bigger than you regularly wear. Also the quality was ok, the buttons looked kind of cheap.

They are teens/juniors sizes. So a 12/14 juniors large for example would be about a woman’s 10/12 if that helps. I know juniors sizes tend to run smaller than woman’s. If your buying this for a child they will swim in it.

This is also off topic, but to good of a deal not to share. I went to the Dollar General yesterday and I purchased 30 Disney brand, plastic chairs for 30 CENTS!!! Yes, one penny each. When it rings up a penny they are not supposed to sell it to the customer, they are supposed to trash them, but the lady didn’t know until after the fact so she had to give them to me since I had already paid! You can talk to the manager and if you are going to give them to a good cause or something, they may go ahead and give them to you! My son started the 3 year old program this year and every kid in his class is going to get one for Christmas!!! I am so excited to see all their little faces when he takes them to his party!!!! I love this time of year and the spirit of giving! JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!!!

Definitely not a winter coat. They are pretty thin and not very warm.
yup, just as I suspected they DO NOT ACCEPT returns on final sale items..and ALMOST all ITEMS are FINAL SALE items..do NOT be duped…unless you are pretty thin most of these coats will not fit…and I agree w/others about ordering a size up than your regular size…I got a L and it doesn’t fit I should have gotten an XL. But buyer beware, you are stuck w/the merchandise if it doesn’t fit…great to know I wasted like 20 bucks last time for something I can’t wear!
I see everyone saying the sizes run small but I actually wear Junior sizes, usually a XS – Small and I’m concerned because the size Small says 4-6 which is women’s sizing. Does anyone who normally wears junior sizing have any advice on how these jackets run? Thanks!
I just went to order one of these coats and the estimated delivery date is 11-25-11!? 22 days until I will have my coat! That seems pretty steep to me.

Like everyone else has said, their sizing runs VERY small!!! I bought a coat that was supposed to be a large and I can’t even get it on! I also bought some boots and they are in european sizing.
Shipping took over a month and the DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS!!!

sort of off topic of the coats, but on the topic of this shop, I ordered my daughter 2 pair of boots on 9/30 and just got a shipment confirmation friday, they still haven’t arrived, hopefully today or tomorrow. but be prepared to possibly wait a very long time for your shipment to arrive. a month seems like a long time to ship something. plus on the confirmation it showed only one pair of the boots, we’ll see if i get both or not.
I’ve ordered a couple of things from them. The sizes definitely run small, order a size up at least. I would be really careful if you are ordering Christmas gifts because there is no guarantee that it will make it on time. Everything is really cute but don’t expect the best quality.
I just wanted to say I ordered a coat from them a couple months ago when, I believe, these same wool coats were on sale. Considering the price, I wasn’t expecting anything spectacular. I did think they were super cute, so I figured what the heck.
First, it took well over a month to get the coat. Then, upon receiving it, I found the quality was not good. The material felt cheap and the buttons seemed to be sewn on poorly and were also a pain to “fasten”. Don’t expect to wear this when its actually cold out, it won’t keep you warm. This is more for looks. Finally, I had issues with the fit. I normally wear a ladies 8/10 or a Juniors L/11. This jacket fit me, but barely. There isn’t room for a heavy sweater or something underneath. The sleeves were also a little short, but I think that’s mostly me since I’m taller than average.
Darn…I wish I had read more comments before I bought these. I ordered two of these coats because I am really in need of new coats (ones I have are way old and just beat up now). Did not even think about the length of shipping time when I ordered, nor do I think they quoted anything. I signed in to Totsy today, expecting it to say oh maybe this week or next week for shipping and was shocked to see that the estimated SHIP date, not even the arrival date, was November 25…and from what it sounds like through these comments, I’d be lucky to even have that happen. Very disappointed and I haven’t even seen these coats yet, let alone received them. Sounds like even the quality doesn’t hold up. Yes, I know you get what you pay for so I’m more likely to just deal on that issue, but what I’m hearing about shipping is pretty upsetting. I needed at least one of these much sooner than a month or two from now! That is if I receive either at all apparently! I waffled on ordering these because they were juniors size and I hate not trying stuff on, but figured the cost was low enough….shoulda went with my gut.
I just got my jacket, and I agree with all of the people who commented about the sizing. I am a misses medium and thought I’d play it safe by ordering a Large. Their size large is sooo small! I think even if I purchased an XL it would still be too small. Based on these reviews, and this experience, I’ll be un-subscribing to Totsy-I don’t have the money to make the same mistake again!
