Does this really mean free though? Dont they charge you a sitting fee or some sort of something fee? Anyone? Thanks Im new to this portrait stuff 🙂

They usually try to charge you for copyrights which is sometimes around $50. That’s what sears is… haven’t gone to the walmart one though.

No, I use Walmart for my son’s pics. THIS picture will be free. They are required to take several shots (that they will edit and make you want really bad). The key is to go in telling yourself that you WILL resist. They often run sales online where you can order portrait sheets for 5.99…a lot cheaper than the in-studio price and you can edit them online yourself. Once you take the pic, they’ll give you a sheet that has a password and stuff on it for their website. Play around with your pics and the editing options and wait for the 5.99 salw!

The coupon states only one subject in the free 10×13 additional sitting fees for more subjects! so not a FREE family portrait but if you only have one child or person in the picture then yes it should be free.

    • Collin

Thanks! I am updating the post now.

The fine print says it’s for one subject. Family pictures wouldn’t work.

I’ve had pretty good luck with Walmart. I usually do the $7.99 package and the sitting fee is included. They try and sell you other pictures, but I just decline. If you read the fine print on this, it sounds like the sitting fee is included, but additional fees apply if more than 1 person. They have pretty good customer service as well because they once had to cancel my appointment an hour before we were scheduled but gave me a $150 credit to make up for it!

My local studio has great customer service too. My mom required special international passport photos and the lady was awesome fulfilling our request. Before that we, went to Sears and they are like i don’t know what you are talking about, have a good day.

In the fine print it says only one subject, and says one person is one subject. It says that more than one will charge a fee, but doesn’t say how much.

my store’s studio just told me it was only a $5 fee for up to 5 additional people for either the wall portrait in this deal of for the photo packages they sell…and they won’t charge you that twice if you do a package and get this print from coupon.
sound like a decent deal for a quick family pic to put on all these christmas card deals that are coming up:)

        Thank you!

I have taken all three of my kids in before and not been charged an additional fee I always do their pictures at walmart and sometimes i do get charged so I think it all depends on who the photographer is for the day

    • darcy

How do you make Christmas cards out of the prints?

  9. Hbj33blue

I know this is a crazy question, but do they photograph pets? Couldn’t pick just one of my kids to photograph, but I could do the doggie, if they do pets that is.

    • Ana

      No pets for hygiene issues.

    • vicki

its only 5 bucks to do all your kids together instead of picking one…might be a good option for you:)
