Uuuggh. Sorry for this, but I need to vent. I am working 3 jobs and I lost one last week.. The other 2 is barely giving me enough to cover our rent. And today. My husband came home with bad news.. more than 25% of the employees in his office are getting laid of in January. AND. HE is one of those employees =( I feel sick buying some of the deals I did the past few weeks.. I don’t think I splurged, I was buying gifts the cheapest way I can with the help of Hip2save, but I feel so sick to my stomach I wish I could return all the things I got recently=( Oh well. I guess I’ll have to say bye to Hip2save for now, to Collin and all the helpful followers of Hip2Save. Can’t do the deals anymore. Hope to see you all soon and I will be missing this site ='( If anyone knows of an accounting job in SoCal, please send me an email at tarab9711@yahoo.com.. Thanks.. Happy Holidays to all!

      Just emailed you with this:
I have been a Hip2save reader for a while now and came across your post. Why not expand your skill set maybe with a merchandising job or demonstration job? There are companies always looking to hire people to reset the shelves in grocery stores, do demonstrations (in stores on the weekends..), etc.. πŸ™‚ Some of the companies also allow you to pick when you work which is nice plus, they pay anywhere from $10-$12/hr (at least that’s the going rate for Ohio for merchandising..might be more where you are.). Don’t let this get you down. It’s just a minor set back but can be turned into a positive situation πŸ™‚
You could even do merchandising or demonstration jobs just until you find something in your field. It’s money which helps out in times like this. πŸ˜‰
      Here’s my tips for you:
      Be positive. πŸ™‚
Sign up with Sunflowerstaffing.com (they do demonstrations in stores, mostly Target stores.) The best part about it is that you work for yourself, can accept or reject any job, you get paid for introducing people to new products, and you are the first to know about deals! It’s free to sign up but you do send in paperwork before you can start.
Sign up with Narms.com. They have lots of merchandising and demonstrating jobs listed. Also, free. Schedulers can contact you through Narms to put you to work or you can go through the job list, and apply for companies. πŸ™‚
Sign up with Crossmark.com. They have two different divisions: Merchandising and Demonstrations in Walmart. They pay weekly which is nice as well. πŸ™‚
Sign up with Premium Retail Services. http://www.premiumretail.com. They usually have different projects from merchandising to events to demonstrations. However, they do not offer direct deposit. Instead, they put your pay on a Mastercard pay card.
Check craigslist.org under marketing/pr, retail/warehouse, etc, and gigs. There are usually quite a few merchandising jobs listed and several marketing/demonstration jobs listed. All you have to do is email your resume (and maybe a picture).
Apply at convergencemarketing.com. I just got hired with them to do cosmetic resets for $12/hr (the going rate in OH).
I do merchandising/promotions and demonstrations for a living (usually part time) and make decent money considering that I work part time. πŸ™‚ Though I am signed up with a lot of companies so I am working constantly. Christmas time is a little slow but hey, everything little bit helps πŸ™‚

Figured I would post it here for those who might be in the same situation as you are πŸ™‚
