does this oil have an expiration date?

    • Chriscia

It has always been 2 years after manu date. I just got a couple last week and the date is 11/13

  2. Melissa

It worked for me. After clicking on 4 P&G product coupons (think I loaded them afterwards, don’t remember), it will prompt you to send 4 friends an email ( you can also view the email the are sending) and receive a $4 off credit on card. It showed up immediately on my card.

    • Melissa

sorry this comment was for the other comment about Kroger card for $4 off

Thanks so much! We use coconut oil for everything!! Our gym is also doing a paleo seminar/challenge starting this weekend so that will be great for our members to stock up.

    • Jami

I’m doing a Paleo challenge too! I was hoping a deal on coconut oil would come soon!

      • Kelly

Awesome!! Where are you doing the paleo challenge? Eating paleo makes you feel great! 🙂

        • Jami

One of the trainers at my crossfit gym in Denver (Crossfit Broadway) is putting it together.

          • Kelly

Great! My husband and I own CrossFit Local in Chapel Hill, NC so we are hosting a seminar on Saturday. We’ve been doing paleo/primal for almost 2 years now and love it! Good luck!

            • Jami

Thank you. I already feel great when I cut out the sugar, but I’m ready to take it to a new level! One of my trainers has a paleo website – you can google paleomg to get some pretty good recipes. Thanks for the encouragement! Love Crossfit, it has changed my life!

              • Kelly

Love love love paleomg!!! 🙂 Tell your coach I said thanks!

    • Yenna

I also started the Paleo Diet but offcourse on a budget and will be using coupons when ever is possible, I can’t effort to buy grass-fed nor organic at the moment.

I went last nite to buy coconut oil, $16 for ONE container! This is a GREAT deal!

      • Jenny

Yenna, do not let perfect be the enemy of good. Start where you are, it’s okay if you can’t do it perfectly, you are still making strides for your health! Good job!

    • Jenny

      Me too!

This may seem strange to some, but I use coconut oil as a deep conditioning treatment for my hair. I put enough oil to saturate my hair, place a plastic shower cap on my head and leave in for 30 or so minutes. Then wash my hair! I also use coconut oil on my lips and as a super moisturizer for my face.

  5. Barbara Yudell

Cool, I’m ordering it this time and trying it out for baking!

  6. ellen

LOVE coconut oil for hands, feet, lips, hair..really helps combat the dry air of winter..also found out it’s a natural sunscreen! Not to mention it is GREAT for cooking, makes some awesome popcorn! And, a little goes a loooong way..

  7. Amy

Super excited to try this on so many things! Can’t wait to use it in my chicken stir fry! Yum!

  8. Misilla

We love coconut oil…It’s excellent for overall health and healthy skin and hair…And natural 🙂

  9. melinda

  11. karmen

Does anyone know if this particular brand is cold pressed? I LOVE coconut oil but i only buy cold pressed. thanks!

    • sne3103

      Here’s what the description reads:
Nutiva’s coconut oil is cold-pressed, organic extra-virgin coconut oil, with its light taste, pleasant aroma, and pure white color, and industrialized coconut oil, with its bland taste, faint aroma, and off-white color. Please note that any tiny brown specks found at the bottom of Nutiva’s coconut oil are from the coconut fiber and are indigenous to extra-virgin coconut oil. It is deliciously healthy cooking oil. Better than butter and are USDA organic. Unrefined with no trans fats, rich in lauric acid.

      • karmen

        Thanks:)

  12. Jesi

great price, finally gonna try it! Queston? How do you measure coconut oil when baking? Like one stick of butter to coconut oil? and 1/4 cup of vegetable oil to coconut oil?

    • Frugal Jen | Frugal, Freebies and Deals

Jesi- veg oil you could probably do 1 to 1 with coconut oil, but butter is not pure oil so my guess is you would add slightly less coconut oil to a recipe that called for butter.

  13. Sarah

Dr Oz also said to use coconut oil as a chapstick instead of chapstick 🙂

    • Brittany

I actually got this in yesterday and when I saw how it melted like butter I tried it on my lips to moisturize them and and they felt great. Seriously awesome stuff.

  14. lindsay

Cool! I was JUST wondering two days ago if there would be any coconut oil deals anytime soon! YAY!

  15. Mo

I’m not affiliated with either site but I follow Moneysavingmom(dot)com and Heavenlyhomemakers(dot)com. They both focus on cooking with whole “real” foods and have a ton of great recipes using coconut oil among other natual ingredients. I don’t necessarily agree with the religious aspect of some posts but take what I can from the sites and leave the rest 🙂 They both have some great ideas and are generous spirits.

  16. jen

Nutiva is great! I tried the 365 brand at Whole Foods and it doesn’t taste nearly as good. I use it mostly to make popcorn in my WhirlyPop, and I keep a jar in the bathroom to use as makeup remover. I have oily skin but it doesn’t aggravate my skin or make it oilier at all.

  17. Misilla

If you have a $10 Vitacost credit you can get it free just pay $4.99 shipping 🙂

  18. Stephanie Werner

Trader Joe’s now carries coconut oil and I think it might be a bit cheaper than this. But I’ve used this brand as well and really liked it.

  19. mich

I love coconut oil for everything. I use it for my hair. I make deodorant with it, mix it with my essential oil and sometimes baking soda as well. face exfoliant:mix raw sugar and coconut oil and melaleuca essential oil. this is a great anti aging oil. I use it with my essential oils all the time, so much cheaper buying it this way than from my essential oil company. I buy only high quality essential oils if using it on my face or body or ingestion.

my roommate and neighbors are all almost out of this!! awesome thanks!

  21. Laura

Coconut oil makes the best homemade popcorn!

  22. Kayla

Coconut oil is great if you cloth diaper a baby. It’ll quickly cure rashes, and is safe to use on cloth diapers….

    • Rachael

This is how we use it. It must be super soothing for the rash too because our Little one would stop crying just about instantly when we put this on his rash.

  23. Bobbie

    Hey Collin,

I know you just moved, but if you plan to use the Mountain Home Air Force Base Commissary, they have Spectrum coconut oil for $4.99/14oz and there is a $2 coupon here…. https://www.spectrumorganics.com/?section=coupons. Just used some last night on my popcorn (Use the Dr. Oz method(LOL)), place kernels in brown bag and microwave without any fat, then add the oil and sea salt, YUM.

  24. Lesley

Many cloth diapering Mama’s use coconut oil for baby butt’s too!!! It is safe to use on cloth diapers, many creams and ointments are not, and works great as a barrier cream! fyi

  25. Irene

Believe it or not, it makes a great lube, too. My husband & I started using it last year and prefer it to KY products.

    • Ap

Lol…I was going to say the same thing but did not want to go into TMI :)…but yes, this stuff is great for everything; my husband told me to never run out. Also my 4 year old son who is sensitive to any type of lip balm/lotion loves this stuff; he never complains of burning like he does lotion.

  26. STACEY MCBRIDE

My order came up to 12.15 shipped thanks Collin!

  27. Cristy

Mine order was $12.15 shipped too! Can’t wait to try all your suggestions for using coconut oil.

  28. Rosea

I have seborrheic dermatitis on my face, and coconut oil is the only moisturizer I will use on my skin. I’ve been using it for a year now, and my face has improved so much. If you have dry skin or other skin conditions, definitely give it a try. It is much better than paying for an expensive prescription from the dermatologist.

  29. Michelle

I have been looking to switch to coconut oil! It;s has been pretty expensive at the grocery store, especially on my college student budget. I didn’t see this until just now and it actually went down in price to $16.20 for an even better deal! Now I have no excuse. This is awesome, thanks so much!

  30. Brittany

Yay I am excited because it only cost me $12.15. I always do my “couponing” in the evening and I tend me really miss the good deals but I was glad tonight when I saved a little extra money. My dad loves coconut oil so I have to tell him about it… I am sure he will be excited too!

  31. Cortney

Just a heads up, while this is a great deal for the 15oz container (set of 2) at $0.40 oz. If you are regualr user of coconut oil, like my family, then the larger 54oz container (set of 2) is a better price per ounce at $0.34oz.

  32. Susan

Just went on Amazon, and the price today is only $16.20 bringing my total after discount and subscribe and save only $12.15! Thanks Collin!!!

  33. Autumn Hubbert

I just ordered some and the price has dropped from $18 to $16.20. With the discounts I paid $12.15! Great deal! We use this stuff for everything.

  34. Kimberlee

Yep! Me too! I like $12.15 even better!

  35. Latisha Duenas

My boyfriend was just talking about starting to use coconut oil and I remembered seeing this deal the other day, just got it and mine was $12.15 shipped, too. Woo hoo!

  36. Brittany

I got this in yesterday and I love it. It was the first time I tried coconut oil. I wish it was still on sale because I already want some more.

    • Nancy

The offer is still available, I just got mine today, a couple of minutes ago, $12.15 shipped 🙂

  37. Maryccc

I just discovered nutiva and have been using their coconut oil and hemp seed and chia seeds. The seeds have really improved my health. The coconut oil has done wonder for my hair and skin and cooking with it is heaven. I went to their face book page and they have a code to get $10 off when you buy $30. Their 54 oz coconut oil is 33.99 so 23.99 and free shipping for orders over $30.
