In minnesota we can buy the STAR TRIBUNE saturday early sunday edition OR the pioneer press for only $1 per paper and they always have the same coupons. That is so nice to get them a day early and alot cheaper than the normal sunday paper. The price allows me to get 6-8 papers a week and not break the bank.
Today I bought 6 papers and there was supposed to be ONE insert in each paper and instead they gave me 2 of the same insert in each paper. So I ended up with 12 full inserts for the $6 🙂 That was a major score. I find that I get extra inserts in each paper alot. Not usually double in every paper but it was a nice surprise.
I get the Early Sunday Star Tribune too, and mine only had one Smart Source. Did you get Red Plum in yours?
Just one insert this week- Smart Source, no Red Plum this week.
the Chicago Tribune had 2 smartsource inserts as well, but they have different coupons in each one, so check yours.

I am in MN too and found that it depends where I get my papers from. Some places do not have inserts and some do. I have a specific convenience store I go to and I always double check because some sneaky people steal the inserts.
in IL we got 2 Smart Source inserts BUT I guess it’s same thing like last year, when we get 2 seperate SS thinner inserts others get one big fat one 😉
No others coupons, just SS, nothing in Parade.

I bought a paper this morning and didn’t get the SS insert 🙁 I even went back to look through the other papers to make sure it just wasn’t my paper that was missing it. Wasn’t in any of them!
I always look before I buy – to make sure they have the inserts, but this time I was in a hurry to get home and clip (mainly the Brita coupon)! Bummer. Is SS nationwide? I’ve never had a problem with inserts before now. I’m in Indiana..
Jamie, there was also a $4/1 Brita coupon in the SmartSource insert from 12/4/11 that expires 2/4/12. We got these in the Houston Chronicle.

My paper was missing a LOT of coupons maybe there was another insert someone took out of there… I was really looking forward to the 5/1 purina one dog food. Hopefully I’ll get it next time!

I was waiting for the Brita $4 coupon and no such lucky. I an in South Carolina and bought the Charleston, Savannah and Hilton Head papers and it wasn’t any of the Smart Source inserts I got. Can someone describe the page it was on, maybe my eyes are tricking me?
