Magazines.com: Another Free $5 Check?!
Yeah! It seems that Magazines.com is at it again! I woke up this morning to an email in my inbox from Magazines.com with yet another unique $5 code which means another opportunity to request a $5 check in the mail. Woo Hoo!
If you are signed up to receive Magazines.com emails, then you may have gotten this same email… an email that you may have trashed thinking it was junk. So search this email address service@email.magazines.com to see if any emails pop up. Make sure to look in your trash and spam. The subject line of the email is “A Gift For You — Go Shopping On Us!”.
Basically the email will provide you with a unique code to score a $5 discount on your purchases! Even sweeter, in the fine print it states “Your promotional code has cash value”. This means that you can actually request a check in the mail! Just head on over here, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and fill out the form with your mailing info and gift card number. A $5 check will be mailed to the address you provide within 4-6 weeks.

I usually do not see the “cash value option” often. I took advantage of this recently though when they did send me a option to buy a $25 gc for $11 I think it was . So I paid with it for a gc from a survey site and even though it said the paid part could not be refunded, but the option was to get the $13 difference in a check. I requested it thinking that is what I would receive. I did not use any portion of the gc and meant to save it for later use. I ended up getting a $25 check.

I did receive the email but mine is a code that you enter to get $5 off not a gift certificate to redeem for cash. Anyone get the same email as me?

Ok, so my question is, I don’t have a gift card to put the unique code “jandeal” on. What do you do then? It requires a gift card number….where do you get those?

I *JUST* received my 10.00 check in the mail from the same offer back in December around Christmas, that I turned in instead of using to buy a magazine subscription. Thanks for the heads up, yet again!

Where are you seeing the line about cash value? The only coupons I get from them have a code for a discount, but no cash value. 🙁

if you got the code ‘jandeal’ then there is no cash value.
Ok, I spoke too soon. Yesterday I did receive the $5 coupon for Magazines.com and I commented earlier today that that was all I got. But then I just checked my emails and the gift card email just arrived this afternoon. So if you haven’t gotten it yet, keep checking! Thanks for the heads up, I know I would have missed the cash value thing if you had not pointed it out.

I got the “jandeal” email today. BUT I did end up receiving both my magazines . com gift card redemption checks last week!

OH NO! I totally let my $5 giftcard from December expire! I wish I would’ve seen this one sooner! I got a $5 giftcard in December that expired like, four days ago! 🙁 But, I did get another $5 giftcard that I redeemed just now…could’ve been $10 though. pooey. 🙁 that’s what i get for skipping out on a post by Colin!! lol!

I get these a lot and use them to get all my magazines for free. I am tempted to get the check because I have quite a few years already on all my mags. But I am wandering if they will stop sending me the gift cards if I cash them in? Don’t know if its worth the risk?
