Yes, definitely join Similac StrongMoms if you’re pregnant, even if you plan to breastfeed! The $20 Shutterfly voucher is immediate and just got thrown into my Shutterfly account– and I was actually able to use it on other stuff at Christmastime (I’m due Monday). They also sent me 2 very generously-sized formula samples in the mail, so now I have that around just in case. I’ve been very happy that I signed up for this!

dont stock up on formula!!!!!! get free samples if available but dont buy formula, you never know what your baby will be able to use. i made that mistake and had to donate a bunch of formula cuz my son could only use one kind.
diapers too. luckily my son can wear any kinds but some babies are allergic to certain brands and you dont want to be stuck with a bunch of packs you cant use….im not trying to sound negative, i just want to warn you so the same thing doesnt happen to you and you end up with a bunch of unusable things 🙂
Thanks for the tips! I’m going to nurse and I’m just getting free samples for diapers. :). Could I start stocking up on wipes or will they dry out?
I stocked up on diapers and so glad I did I saved a TON by doing it that way. Keep a good eye on the gift card deals, it can make for some very inexpensive packages! I also purchase 2 boxes of 900+ wipes a few months back and they’ve lasted. If you use swagbucks, you could get gift cards for Amazon and get FREE wipes. It’s exactly how I got both of those big boxes!! 🙂
my baby is two weeks old and I am so glad I stocked up on diapers! I can honestly say we have over 1500 diapers and never paid full price! But I do agree with not buying too many of one brand, we have a ton of pampers and my daughter leaks out of them like crazy! I’ll still use them but I like huggies way better! But Enfamil also has a email program and they sent me two cans of formula! good luck and congrats!
I signed up for the similac with my first son. What a blessing!!! The $5 coupons are awesome, the samples were great. We breastfed as long as possible but had to switch over to formula around 6 months and this saved me a ton of money. My sister signed up, my mother signed up, my mother in law. LOL! I just signed up again since we’re due with little boy #2 in May, hoping to get the same coupons the second time around so we can stock up early.
My children are 5 yrs, 3 yrs, 22 mos., and 5 mos. With Baby #3, I signed up for Similac, despite having nursed my first two babies for 13 months. Thank goodness I did, because at 8 months Baby #3 refused to nurse EVER again! In addition to the formula samples and coupons, I also received an amazing coupon for 4 free “trial” classes at The Little Gym! My daughter LOVED it there–she is such a daredevil with so much energy.

Don’t forget to sign up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. This is a great program that mails a FREE book to your child/children/grandchildren each month. I’ve gotten about 10 books so far, a new selection every month. Most are hard cover and adorable! The best part is having that quiet time with my little man!!
