I have been drinking almond and coconut milk on a more regular basis (due to eating primarily Paleo), so I was happy to see this new coupon pop up on Coupons.com! Just head on over there, use zip code 62946 (if needed) and click on the “Beverage” category to print a new $0.55 off any Almond Plus Almond Milk or any So Delicious Dairy Free Product!

Keep in mind that this coupon is valid on any So Delicious Dairy Free product, so you don’t just have to purchase milk. They also sell ice cream, sorbet, creamer and yogurt. In fact, this coupon should make the So Delicious yogurt cups pretty inexpensive. Anyone know how much these go for?

On a side note, I am currently soaking cashews in water overnight, as I am going to attempt to make cashew cream for my coffee tomorrow! Stay tuned… if it turns out great, I’ll be sure to post the recipe here on Hip2Save.

Collin, I’m not familiar with the paleo diet, but our walmart has flax milk that I use when making oatmeal for the kids! Thought it might be worth sharing… 🙂 I’m going to look up info on the paleo diet tomorrow!

My husband had a heart attack (at 42) a little over a week ago and the dietician recommended Almond Milk. Thanks for the heads up on the coupon! BTW, she also recommended the DASH diet which was #1 by the US News & World Report, above Jennie Craig or Weight Watchers. It’s a very sound diet (eating lifestyle) plan that is something I think most anyone can follow. I’m going to look into the paleo diet too. I think it’s great to know all the options out there! Thanks for all your help Collin! 😀

this has nothing to do with this BUT when I saw the coldsore treatment RR for next week the FIRST thing I thought of was your video where you’re freaking out about having a coldsore. haha 🙂 yayy you can stock up.

      😉

The yogurt coupon doesn’t show up for me. The coconut yogurt is fairly expensive – around $2 for the single serving size. 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry for the confusion… there is a picture of almond milk on the coupon. Did you use the zip listed in the post?

  5. rebecca

Hi, me again, lol. Does anyone know who might carry this Almond Milk in the Charlotte, NC area? We have Harris Teeter, Lowe’s Foods, Bi-Lo and Foodlion close by. Do any of these stores carry this milk? I’m hopeful but I don’t see it on Harris Teeter’s express lane, online grocery site. Hmmmm. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

    • tuffcookie

search in google and the website should have a spot to type in your zip

Hey Colin- while I am not paleo we are gluten, dairy and corn free and do a lot of whole food eating and baking with nut flours.

I don’t know about the cashew cream,.lol.. but let me know I would love to hear. We like full fat coconut milk for a cream replacement. My favorite is some frozen coconut milk I have found at a local Asian foods store- it is a lot fresher tasting than the canned kind. We make ice cream and Alfredo with it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh yum… Alfredo sauce sounds delicious. 🙂

      • Frugal Jen | Frugal, Freebies and Deals

It is!! A little salt, garlic and I use a little butter (we can tolerate a little) but coconut oil would be yummy too!

This is completely unrelated to this post but couldn’t get your contact form to work. It kept defaulting to the FAQs. Anyway, On Nov. 22, 2011 I mailed in my rebate forms and all required info. to Rapid Rebates for the Veggie tale toys from the Veggie tale website. 11 weeks later….no rebates. THe website says processing, they aren’t answering emails or phone calls. Has anyone else been having trouble? Maybe my checks are just lost in the mail but wanted to know if others were successful with this rebate?? Thank you.

    • PG

      Kelly,

If you just mailed it November 22, that isn’t a super-long time ago in rebate world (LOL). Some rebates take a long time to come back. I just got one last week for a product I purchased in August. 🙂

      • Kelly

That’s true. The form said 4-6 weeks so I felt like since we are nearly double that I was giving them lots of “margin”. Hopefully it will come soon.
        Thanks, PG

In my area the yogurts are regularly priced at $1.99 and go on sale for $1.69 each! Expensive, but worth it when you have a milk allergy.

  9. Mae

Hey Big Thanks for putting emphasis on natural and organic lately—Hat’s off to you. I have been experimenting in seeking out a coffee creamer alternative too. I cannot fathom stomaching the ingredients in the Coffeemate kind of products anymore and I am not even on any sort of diet. Can’t wait to see how that turns out. The So Delicious yogurt cups [in Oregon anyways], typically go on sale for $0.90 each… their products overall are really awesome!!!

    • karen

Deliciously Organic has coffee creamer recipes and an awesome blog. The creamers were from a year or so ago – pumpkin spice, vanilla, caramel, and a mocha, I think. I use half & half and maple syrup (instead of sugar) in my coffee usually.

      • Mae [Bina] :o)

Karen–awesome shmosome–anxious to try those creamers that you mentioned… Thanks for that great tip!!

I have seen Paleo so much in the past week! A friend is following this with her family—I am following something similar!

  11. Jeanie

Where do they carry this product? Anyone know?

  12. Heather

If you can find them the new So Delicious Greek yogurt cups are awesome and not as runny as the other kind. This helps my 3 yr old (dairy, soy, egg and gluten free) get it from the cup to her lips and not all down the front of her! They also sell coffee creamer (hazelnut flavor even) and really good strawberry keffir and ice cream!
They don’t have protein like cow’s milk yogurt but you can mix in ground flax seed to help with that!

If anyone wants to print these coupons and trade them with me I would be ecstatic!

  14. Lindsay

Best treat ever!!!!!

Bad news, Collin: cashews are actually not on the Paleo list. 🙁 You can check it online. The idea of Paleo diet is – if it can’t be consumed raw, it’s not good for you when cooked either. And cashews are toxic when raw. Scientifically they are not nuts, they are a separate plant kind.
Same with peanuts. Technically, they are beans, not nuts, and can’t be eaten raw, thus, they can’t be a part of Paleo diet either. 🙁
But that’s just theory. I love the idea of Paleo diet and I try to keep it in mind when I make food choices but when I want some peanut butter badly, I go for it. 🙂 I’m looking forward to reading the cashew cream recipe. 🙂

    • Reenie Wood

      Hey Olga 🙂

I don’t know anything about the Paelo diet, but I do know that the cashew seed itself isn’t toxic (neither is the apple apple like fruit it’s pried off of) – the resin in the outer shell is what’s poisonous. Since carefully cracking the shell & extracting the seed isn’t the most cost effective way to process cashews, most of the time they get steamed open at a high temp or boiled in oil to keep the parts we can eat away from the parts we can’t. I only know one place to buy truly raw cashews online:

      https://www.therawfoodworld.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=0&products_id=1003008

I think they taste WAY better than the cooked kind, a lot sweeter & fresh. Of course they’re also a lot more expensive so I’ve never tried to make any milk out of them 🙂

    • ohmom

olga, i think youve got it wrong. raw cashews are not toxic.im from asia and my grandparents had a cashew farm-once the nut is seperated from the outer shell it is edible. ive grown up eating it raw-nothings happened to me!! (its yummy when u roast it with some kosher salt and paparika)

  16. Alysha

U can always try so delicious coconut milk creamer, can be found in whole foods near the boxed coconut milk.

  17. Steph

Hey, Collin…what about the Greek yogurt you have talked about here? Are you still eating it now that your doing the Paleo diet? I ask because I don’t think I could give up my yogurt! 😉

  18. Steph

    Oops…I mean “you’re.” (I HATE typos!)

  19. ericswifeowensmom

Didn’t use my coupon because it’s against my Kroger’s policy to accept other stores’ manufacturer coupons. With that being said, I did purchase one So Delicious Vanilla yogurt on sale for .99. I wish I would have read about the “runniness” and to look for the Greek instead. It has a great flavor and smell, but I’m not a fan of the texture (or lack thereof) I will look for other products at Walmart so I can use my coupon:) Thanks, Collin! And BTW, I purchased some organic turnips to try your recipe. HOPEFULLY, that’s what’s for dinner tonight.

  20. Melissa

How did your creamer turn out?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No, so good. 🙁 It was way too grainy… guess I am going to keep experimenting.
