If you’ve been reading my cooking posts lately, you know that I have been following a Paleo diet which consists of eating lots of veggies! One way that I like to keep my menu exciting is with this fun gadget! It’s called a World Cuisine Spiral Vegetable Slicer – which you can snag for only $31.88 shipped (regularly $49.88!).

Great for making fancy spiral vegetable garnishes for salads as well as making curly fries from potatoes, the easy-to-use World Cuisine Tri-Blade Spiral Vegetable Slicer is made of durable plastic and comes with three sets of interchangeable blades. Just place your fruit or vegetable onto the prongs and turn the while pushing base toward the blade to make continuous spiral strands.

(Butternut Squash Noodles w/Homemade Meat Sauce)

I recently used this identical slicer to make the yummy squash noodles shown in the photo above that I shared on my Facebook page. I love that you can spiral cut anything from squash to zucchini, sweet potatoes to apples. Recipes to come! 😀

This slicer comes with three sets of blades to make your noodles thin or thick. This gadget suctions to your counter and is so simple to use, even my kiddos can make their own zucchini noodles (of course, I have to help them just a little! 😉 ). And be sure to check out all the great reviews (it has 4 out of 5 stars!).

If you have any great recipes using this slicer, please share with me below! Thanks!

Do you cook the veggies first?

This is off subject but I just wanted to make you guys aware of a great deal on photo tile jewelery & I can’t get on my facebook at work, & home computer is down.

http://www.bellakaykreations.com sells beautiful earrings, bracelets, & pendants with your personal pictures in them at the cheapest prices I’ve seen. (My bracelet with 4 pictures was just $25!) & through Valentine’s Day anyone who orders and says they are ordering for “Caleb’s Crew” will have 15% of their ordered donated to our group walking in the Cure Search Walk for Children’s Cancer (a walk to help raise funds for research to help cure this terrible thing that happens to children everyday!).

Here’s the link for info about Caleb’s Crew. (Caleb is my nephew & 27 months, diagnosed with leukemia at just 18 months.) https://www.curesearchwalk.org/faf/search/searchTeamPart.asp?ievent=492731&lis=1&kntae492731=71D845569C2C4659A033895762ACE126&team=4868812

I was curious about that, too. Wonder if you should cook the butternut squash noodles before you put the sauce on top?

Before making the squash, I thought the same thing too… that it had to be cooked. I actually learned that after making the squash into noodles, you just need to massage them (as weird as that sounds) with your hands for like 10 minutes or so. I added oil and salt & pepper while massaging them. Then I nuked in the microwave until warm and served with meat sauce. So yummy, easy and healthy! 🙂

Weird but I think I’ll try it. I just ordered one. Just joined WW online and need to find thinks with lower points. 🙂

I love this idea but never heard back when I posted on FB to ask how exactly you make the Butternut Squash Noodles without them turning to mush. Can you post the recipe or link to instructions? Thanks!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I will be posting a recipe in the future. Also, see my comment above for a tip. 😀

I have been following you for a while now but am so excited that you will be gearing some things toward the Paleo eater!!!!
