Magazines.com: Another FREE $5 Check?!
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Tuesday, February 14th, 2012 at 8:17 am.

Yeah! It seems that Magazines.com is at it yet again! Although I was not personally the recipient of one of these emails today (darn!), reader, Pam, just emailed me about the fact that she received an email this morning with another unique $5 code which means another opportunity to request a $5 check in the mail. WooHoo!
If you are signed up to receive Magazines.com emails, then you may have gotten this same email… an email that you may have trashed thinking it was junk. So search this email address service@email.magazines.com to see if any emails pop up. Make sure to look in your trash and spam. The subject line of the email is “♥♥Happy Valentine’s Day! $5 Inside!♥♥”
Basically the email will provide you with a unique code to score a $5 discount on your purchases! Even sweeter, in the fine print it states “Your promotional code has cash value”. This means that you can actually request a check in the mail! Just head on over here, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and fill out the form with your mailing info and gift card number. A $5 check will be mailed to the address you provide within 4-6 weeks.
Come back and let me know if you received this email too!

Melanie says:
Has anyone got the last one that they did? I didn’t get this email
But I am still waiting on the last $5 check to come
Cayla says:
Me too. I haven’t received a check yet.
Trish says:
I never got my check either
And I didn’t get this e-mail.
mel says:
I requested on 1/18, so it’s only been about 3 1/2 weeks… says 4-6, so probably not until the end of the month.
Allison says:
I did my first request on December 13th and I still haven’t received a check. I’m starting to think it isn’t coming
Cayla says:
It was actually in today’s mail! Woohoo!
Smellyann says:
Aaack! I actually got it! So Stoked!!!
Smellyann says:
It worked! Awesomesauce!
Dawn says:
I sent in for a $10 check and a $5 check in December and I got the $10! I did NOT get the $5. I didn’t know at the time, but you can only get ONE check per YEAR. I’m just glad they gave me the $10 check and not the $5 one.
Trish says:
Ugh! I didn’t know that!! I got the $5 and have been waiting for the $10! That stinks! Even if you got email confirmations for both you only get one?
Tara says:
Wow, I didn’t know that either! I was wondering why I only got 1 of the $10 checks I submitted for!
Laura says:
Same here. Was wondering where the other $10 one went. Oh well, paid for my All You subscription, and was an unexpected surprise. Thanks for clearing up that mystery!
Mara @ Super Savings says:
Hi Dawn,
I’ve gotten more than one check a year from them before. Is that a new condition?
~ Mara @ Super Savings
Melissa says:
I did both the $10 and $5 one in December and got both checks last month.
Lori says:
Where does it say that you can only get one per year?
Kalyn Mace-Guilloux says:
Yay! I finally got one
Awesome.
Elizabeth Allen says:
Sweet, I got the email! Here’s hoping!
Danielle says:
I got one check in December, but have not received the 2nd one. I should have had it by now since I received the $10 emails days apart. Guess I am only getting one per year!
E says:
I wonder why they do this? It’s weird they’re just like here’s a coupon or better yet, here’s some cash!
shoppingwithles says:
I got one in December, but I never received the check, and I haven’t gotten one since then
Steph says:
Hi. I, too, was waiting on a $5 check (received the $10 one already) and finally called their customer service. They told me that you can only receive one per year, and that the fine print stated as much. (I don’t remember seeing that, but I have no way of getting into that screen on their website now.) This, after they sent a confirmation e-mail saying that I would be receiving my $5 check in 4-6 weeks. Boo! I wish they would have figured things out so that they wouldn’t have sent out “teaser” e-mails to those who had already received a check. Anyways, I thought I heard somewhere that there is an option once you have entered your gift code where you can apply the amount to your account, thus saving it for a future purchase. If that’s the case, you could probably save enough codes to your account to eventually buy any magazine for free (not just the ones they are always marking down, but the good ones, too!).
Mary says:
I found an email from magazines.com but only asking me to update my profile information. Hoping I get one of these emails soon.
Mary@4our2cents says:
I agree Mary, I have yet to get one of these sweet money makers. Wonder how they decide who gets them?!
annette says:
i rec’d the 10.00 not the 5.00 submitted for both.
