I know if you use staples rewards from a previous purchase to buy something that gives 100% back in rewards, that you will only get the amount minus the old rewards you used.
Does anyone know if you use rewards to buy something that has a staples easy rebate if you would get it all back?
Thanks in advance. I hope that I made some kind of sense with that question. 😉

    • janiceg531

I don’t think so :-(. I think that you get back the final price you pay. I used a coupon once and the value of the coupon was subtracted from the rewards.

    • donna

Hi Deedee, I just used my rewards this morning to buy rebate items. What happens is your rewards are treated as a coupon, so a percentage is taken off of each line item your purchasing. You will get your rebates, but it will be minus the amount taken off as a “coupon” from the rewards. Hope I explained that okay :-). Great deals at Staples this week!!

      • Deedee

Thank you guys!! Now I just need to find something to use my rewards on!

      • Serena

I’m confused by this, so if you use your rewards you will or will not get the amount back in rebates?

        • Cindy

My experience has always been that you get the full amount of the rebate even if you pay using your rewards. It’s a great way to get your rewards back in the form of cash! I have been doing it like this for over a year now and have always received the full amount of rebate every time.

          • Serena

Thanks for clarifying for me 🙂 Greatly appreciated!!

    • GW

      Hi Deedee,
Just wanted to tell you that if you use your rewards to purchase FAR (free after rebate) items you definitely get the full amount. Not the discounted amount. I just received 4 rebate checks from Staples on Friday in which I used coupons & rewards & I indeed received the full amount from rebate.

      • Joanna

YEP…Staples is confusing that way but GW is right!! Rewards to pay for something that gives rewards = not your full reward back…Rewards to pay for Rebates = YOUR FULL AMOUNT BACK!!! I do it ALL THE TIME…its the only way I know to “ROLL” things at Staples!!

Does anyone know if these free deals are valid for in-store purchases ONLY? The last time I tried to do a Staples deal they rejected my rebate because I was supposed to have gone in the store and bought it. The nearest Staples store to me is 65 miles or I would go get the items.

    • donna

Yes, the ad states in-store only.

      • cdawnt

        Thanks donna !

    • heather

Mine was already sold out of most of the “free” items 🙁

  3. MA

Does anyone have the Item # or Sku for the Staedtle pens? Wondering if they are in-store only? If anyone is wondering if an item is in-store only, you can go to Staples Ad and click on the particular item, in the details it will tell you if it is is, as well as the maximum # allowed.

    • donna

      Yes, it’s 615715.

    • Mary@4our2cents

The pens do not say “in store only” as far as the rebate is concerned. But I think that is because they are not available online. (as far as I can find).

Of the 5 Free after rebates offers, all are a limit of 2 except the labels that are just 1.

      • donna

My rebate confirmation lists the Staedtler Maxum pens as “in store only”.

  4. Kim Mignella

does anyone know where to find any coupons….need to buy ink

    • MA

I have found one of the best places to buy ink is from Meritline. I buy name brand from them quite frequently.

    • Kari

I have had great success of late with a company that has the all important “coded cartridges” online at Amazon. My Canon ink was costing me nearly $80 a month…and now it’s down to $5…I was hesitant to order thinking it might ruin my printer, or not work, or the chip wouldn’t be accepted, but it’s awesome…I think the name of the reseller is called Simply Ink…will have to check.

  5. MA

Thanks so much, Donna! Went to write it down and it was already there. LOL Sorry to trouble you. Pain is what I’ll blame it on. 🙂

  6. MA

Was able to order 2 reams of copy paper on-line, but not Staedtler bp pens or Kleenex. Just FYI.

  7. Mary@4our2cents

I would not order these items online and expect to get your rebate. All the products (except the pens and Kleenex) say “in store only”. Also the limits are 2 on each except for the labels which is just 1. HTH!

  8. Ashley57

Got mine earlier! Still lots left at mine at 10:30 am.

  9. irene

Just got back from Staples with these items. Used a $10/$50 Office Depot q as competitors and got three packs of the Staples paper to get 20% off. The rebate forms all show the unit price as original rather than discounts. This is my first time submitting these rebates, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed about getting full amounts back! 🙂

  10. Brad

My store was already completely wiped out of the Kleenex, bummer.

  11. Amanda

I’ve never done this before — do you get store credit back on a card they give you?

    • ga

they give it to you in a check if you fill out the info online at http://www.staplesrewards.com it will take less time 😉 and hassle to fill out the MIR

  12. ga

Is there a coupon for the kleenex tissue or is it not valid on a 2 pk

    • Ashley57

There was one in the 2/12 SS I think. I used it today. Valid on any Kleenex bundle or something. 50 cents.

      • ga

        thanks

  13. Amy

I’d call before you head over and check on the stock. I was at my Staples this morning right when they opened to buy a new laser printer that was on sale and all the free after rebate items were just about gone within that first 1/2 hour. I’ve never seen this Staples that busy on a Sunday morning before.

  14. Wendy

I love shopping at Staples. I got over $220.00 worth of supplies for $20.00. Including $60.00 Jansport backpack that was on clearance. Got to love it!

  15. Melissa

My staples was really busy too. Love getting all the free stuff! And I got the kindle fire too! What a great deal since these are never on sale! Thanks for all the tips Collin!

  16. Diana

Can I use the Staples Gift Card to buy all these rebate stuff?

    • ga

yes that’s what i’m going to do and then they give me money back 🙂

      • Diana

        cool..Thanks

  17. sara

I just got back and scored all the free stuff! It’s snowing here in NC so i think some people stayed home, so there was still free stuff there at 5:45pm when I got there. I used my rewards from the last sale with the boxes and the binders and got it all free. Now I just need to enter in my easy rebates and watch for the checks! Thanks Collin! I hope to be debt free by Jan 2013! These deals make it possible! 🙂

  18. liz

How do I find the rebate forms for these products, also does this deal apply if I buy these products online through ebates or only if I buy them in store?

  19. renee

can anyone give reviews on the kindle fire– im in between deciding if i should get the ipad or kindle- some one please weigh in– TIA 🙂

    • renee

      meant kindle fire

    • Janette Sanders

My husband did a lot of research between the two and we bought the kindle fire because it is a lot less money and the only difference he could see was that it took a few seconds longer to load. My 7 year old son also has one and loves it I borrow it to read books and find it very easy to use. I will warn you that have to set it up to your amazon one click account that is linked to your credit card even to download free things so it can be dangerous in a child’s hands.

  20. P

Do I have to be a staples reward member to get the easy rewards rebates???

    • heather

nope! and it’s truly easy to get the rebate!

  21. jennyh

Irene- where did you get the $10 off of $50 Office Depot q? In my ad this week I only saw the $20 off of $100.

    Thanks so much.

  22. tawn

are you able to purchase all the free items after rebate on 1 single transaction?

    -thanks-
