Heyyy i actually went to target today and i wish i seen your list… but i wanted to add something from the up&up I got free which was the ibuprofen 24 ct. its 99 cents and theres a $1.00 off coupon for it also. And then there is also a coupon for $1.00 off any skin care item and in the trial size area there is 10 ct make up remover pads for up and up and they scan with the coupon no issues whatsoever!!! <3 I do know the coupon says excludes trial size how ever both targets i went to the coupon scanned right through!!! And i would have mentioned my amazing clearence make up finds but looks like someone already has… so make sure you print those $1 off target coupons for maybelline, and Loreal. I know there was one for revlon… but i cant remember where i found it … goood luck everyone <3

Huh? I used mobile q’s today, plus Shopkick. If your store won’t PM, you need to take a copy of their Policy in with you.
Just used a mobile coupon today. I alsi did a price match and used a coupon on it. Sounds like your cashiers have issues.
Per there policy, they shouldn’t accept ad match with a Target coupon.

Been that way for a few months.
I had a hard time with that yesterday, I used multiple coupons last week and things were fine. So does this mean we will have to purchase multiple times,seperate transactions. I tried to purchase 4 items, had coupons for all and was told I can only use one coupon because they were all the same item. Anyone having this problem or am I late to this?
They have really good deals at Target for real. I went there last night got these
3 yogurts,3 Frizz drink,2 eye brow pencils, 1 Revlon make up, 2 chewing gum ( don’t remember the name, but Collin listed them as free) all for FREE plus tax making my grand total .45 cents…. 🙂

I had a horrible experience today at my target. Before she even started ringing me up, the girl asked to see my coupons, went through them one by one, reading the fine print of EACH one & telling me that I could only use one of each target coupon, & some mq’s, so after I gave some stuff back to her & got my extra coupons back, she rang up & bagged all my items, then scanned each coupon, taking each item out of the bag and comparing it to EVERY coupon, even if it cleared the computer w/o problem, even calling over a manager to ask about 2 of the coupons. So after having to make my argument for several coupon, about 15 minutes later it was over. Thee most horrible coupon experience i’ve ever had. So did it make me not want to go there again. Hell No! I am now going to make sure I use every free coupon item at that store. I will not let one bad apple stop me from saving. Even if I have to go back every day!
You know this happens to me every time I go to Walmart. It’s always the girls that have to sit there and read every single detail. Tryi g to find someway to reject the coupons handed to them. However, I’ve noticed with guy/male cashiers , so much easier to deal with. They seem nicer,friendlier ,and more willing to accept my Q,s. Anyways I’m like u , this only makes me want to keep going, using my Q ‘s. 🙂

I hate this! I TOO have had major issues at TARGET since probably NOV. Everything you experienced isn’t listed in their coupon policy. They had no right to limit your target coupons when it’s not listed in their policy! They are pulling SHIT out of the air just to prevent customers from using their coupons!!
ALL of my coupons that are NOT TARGET coupons IE newspaper clippings or online prints do not go through their computer. TARGET has set their computer up to throw up an issue when it’s not a TARGET coupon (this is what I have figured since those are the only one’s that work). I’m assuming they want the cashiers to read them?!?!

I’ve been denied my printed online coupons LEGIT, in date, for the exact item just because of this stupid computer flag. If the cashier would READ it says PRESS K if the item is in the purchase (What computer says: IF COUPON ITEM IS IN PURCHASE PICK ACCEPT ANYWAY!). Instead of doing this, they call a manager that typically denies the coupon EVEN THOUGH IT SHOULD BE USED!!!
I’ve been denied just like this with the computer flag, and THEY (the cashier and manager) didn’t even attempt to read the coupon. They just argued with me about how they can’t override it. GIVE ME A BREAK!!
I was informed by a manager that people were buying things and bringing them back and getting cash for the items as well as the coupon cash back. This is legitimate because TARGET is going to be reimbursed for the coupon from the manufacturer. Anyway, he made it seem like that’s why all of these changes. YET AGAIN none of these issues/changes are listed in their policy. NOR HAS THEIR POLICY BEEN UPDATED ONLINE.
In one of many incidents, I even wiped out my coupon policy, and showed them that what they were trying to do wasn’t in the policy. They told me my policy was wrong and had been updated online because it had a Nov print date at the bottom (It was probably Jan. when I attempted a coupon purchase for this incident. When I got home to verify if there had been changes to the policy, there HAD BEEN NONE.) I told them to show me the updated so called policy. They instead brought back an e-mail that THEY REFUSED TO LET ME READ. He read it once. I couldn’t hear because my mind was racing 100 miles a minute because I had just spent 2 hours in their store and was being refused by 2 managers that didn’t even read my coupons for the items and refused to press K!!! (IF COUPON ITEM IS IN PURCHASE PICK ACCEPT ANYWAY!) I asked him to read it again. I didn’t understand because it made no sense and didn’t apply to the situation. AGAIN he refused to let me read it! I asked him to read it again 3 times, and HE REFUSED TO READ IT AGAIN. I started crying PEOPLE LISTENED AND STARED. I told them to keep their items and left with my coupons.
Please KNOW that TARGET apparently HAS Multiple managers.

The store manager wasn’t there at the time of this issue. I was working with 1. & 2.
I even videoed one incident for which the manager called me out for videoing when it was very UNOBVIOUS that I was videoing because I was just looking down at my phone. (TARGET HAS THE NERVE.) I could have been sending a text on my phone.

I’ve never had a problem with my target. There’s two cashiers that are awesome with coupons. They always push coupons if it beebs (of course they check that it is the right item) AND give me overage unless the price goes below zero in which case they adjust it to make the total $0. I love my target

maybe You need to try different cashiers …try to find few which are friendlier …I always do that …I look at them and then judge /lol/if she looks friendly etc….

I had a problem with Target once where they wouldn’t allow me to use multiple MQ’S . I left that day and didn’t shop target for about 4 months. I finally started shopping there again. My advise to you is find another Target if you have multiple ones in your area. I shop at one that is not close to my house but I have never had a problem there. I think many times it’s the managers who are making their own policies. Particularly, the front end managers. As another poster said on here, I find that male cashiers are less coupon nazi-ish. Always look for a male cashier if there is one. Also, I avoid the older cashiers like the plague. Especially if they have reading glasses around their neck. lol! I’m sorry you had a bad experience. I know it can be very disheartening especially when you know your not doing any thing wrong, and you feel like they are making you out to be a criminal. Keep the faith sister!
I used the think that way about male cashiers, but I think they have started to wise up to the “crazy coupon ladies” LOL. I picked one at Target last weekend, he was young and looked friendly, but boy was he a jerk when I handed over my stack of coupons. He took everything out of the bag (and the line was long!)
I had 4 items – 3 Alexia Fries & 1 Flintstones Vitamins. 4 target coupons + 4 manuf coupons. He kept telling me I could only use 1 coupon per purchase (either the Target or manuf, not both) All b/c the first Alexia manuf coupon beeped! All he had to do was verify I had the right product and K1 it. I told him Target allows 1 manuf + 1 Target coupon per item, I stack all the time and never have a problem.. I am purchasing 4 items, hence 4 of each coupon. He said no, that’s not right. I could tell he was getting nervous b/c of the line, so he asked another cashier if I was right. She says yes, you just need to verify the manuf coupon b/c sometimes they beep. Well I looked down and its the new bar code, that’s why he needed to verify.
I really wish they would get that fixed.
I will know to avoid him in the future!
mel, I agree! I have had nothing but trouble with 99% of the young male cashiers I come across! I now try to avoid them if I can. 🙂

I know this is going against the grain, but even when the store does something like this to me, I GO BACK.
I will be honest, I have 3 Targets near me and I hit all three of them up sometimes in the same day, when they don’t take my coupons in one I go to the other, it’s convenient, but NOT ALWAYS. I have had at least….5 fights in each of them :3
because :
– Target Coupons not scanning
– Mfr Coupons not scanning
– Cashier’s think Picture items are the ONLY items the coupon can be used for.
– They won’t give me a gift card when I’m supposed to get one.
However, that has never happened to me when I show them their policy they read it, check to see if its the one in their system and then they are so super nice and reasonable and apologize. Or the giftcard I make them call the manager asap, I’m very cut throat when it comes to my coupons, I know my mother’s embarassed of it, but I will not be treated like I’m a criminal when I’m legally trying to save money :/

My mom and I bought about 40 dollars worth of Discounted Make-Up (Collin’s bargain above) for around 12 dollars, she wouldn’t take my mom’s coupons saying that because it’s discounted already they wouldn’t take the coupons, my mom didn’t tell me this until I payed for mine, (and she didn’t scan some of her coupons so I will be taking back the items she didn’t scan the coupons for.) I pulled out my policy and told her that nowhere there had it listed that they wouldn’t take them for discounted items, she called her manager, manager said no, HOWEVER, Supervisor said it was ok, and she took all of my coupons, rigorously reading them saying “hey this one’s not here, this one’s not here” and I’m like “it’s this tube of lip-gloss, it’s this one, READ IT.” and she’s like “oh” and I’m usually calm and collect because I know it doesn’t help when everyone see’s you at the “crazy coupon lady” so I try my hardest to just stay calm and be nice to the cashier, I even suggested she adjust the price for some coupons but she just gave me the dollar. So it wasn’t that bad THIS TIME.
At the same Target I had gotten my coupons taken not returned, denied and rejected, but I don’t let one bad experience get to me specially since they are always firing and hiring at both stores so I never have the “oh I remember her” happen to me, and sometimes I have the cashiers that know all the policies and take everything smile and give me the ‘you go girl” as they hand me my change and receipts.
however I suggest you send a letter to the Target Corporation because this is the fault of the Manager’s not complying with their own policy and they should answer for their actions :/
The reason they read everything though is because Coupon Fraud is on the high, specially since places like CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, and Target will give you back cash for items you have purchased with coupons for the Original price (or gift card) if you return it, and people are doing this to get the cash. This is fraud of course because the people doing this are also getting back the coupon money that the store was supposed to get back from the manufacturer and they are basically getting nothing because the “coupon fraud people” take that money from them.
Also, the Target coupons DO SOMETIMES SAY “ONE PER TRANSACTION” like the godiva ones that Collin posted around Valentines, they were one coupon of a kind per transaction, sometimes you can get away with it but sometimes you can’t like the other day I tried to buy beggin strips with the target coupons and well yeah i couldn’t fight with them because it DID say 1 per transaction.

The Target coupons actually say “one per guest.”
This used to happen to me at a Target that I used to shop at the most. Also, it was always the same cashier who would do the same thing. She would go through the coupons and take forever looking at the products I picked up making sure they matched what the coupons said. Finally I started going to a different register or to another Target that was in a different part of town and about the same distance from my house. Hate to say it but it’s made checking out at least a little more pleasant.
If I were you I would call the corporate office and give the name of the employee and tell them everything that happened. Let them know about your terrible experience- there is NO excuse for holding you “hostage” for that long when you were not doing anything wrong!
I have had this happen to me at 2 different Target’s in my area. I don’t shop there much anymore because of that.
I also had this happen to me. Going through every coupon and pulling items out of bag wasting my time. I dislike Target for making it so difficult to shop there. Thanks to the “show” we all have to feel like a criminal.

I don’t think it’s ever a chain issue as much as it is a regional/manager issue regarding which stores are coupon friendly and which ones aren’t. My targets have always very cheerfully taken my coupons-one night the girl even pushed one through and then I realized that the item was still hiding in my cart. All Walmarts are a huge pain in my area-I don’t even bother trying anymore, it’s just not worth the effort. CVS is always friendly and RiteAid is neutral but usually agreeable. Kroger in one town is ok as long as a certain manager isn’t on the floor and agreeable in the other town. Martins/Giant is a headache with rude managers and fussy clerks in one town and in the other town the staff is always friendly and even excited about your savings. Food Lion is usually agreeable everywhere. Luckily I live an equal distance between several towns so I can choose where I want to shop. If you are having issues, I would definitly bug corporate offices until you get some results.
Thanks for all the feedback ladies. I went couponing to another target today & no problems what so ever, and then went back to the original target & picked a different cashier w/no problem this time. I’m just going to avoid that girl if I see her again. My husband said it probably wont be the last time this happens. Unfortunately he’s probably right, it comes with couponing.

Today after being refused by one manager, I asked for another who had then the 1st allow all of my coupons. Before when I told her she could just lower the value of the coupon down to avoid overage & that’s what was in their coupon policy, she actually said “we don’t do that anymore.” It’s so annoying when they make up their own policy. Luckily there was someone there who knows what they’re doing.
I am a Target employee and I too am a couponer. However there is something you need to understand when it comes to SOME of the couponers that we come accress. There has been a big issue with people comeing up to the register with a cart full of idems and 2 hand fulls of coupons. At first I thought nuthing of this untile I went to scan the coupons..none of the coupons were being used properly. I do understand that most couponers know how to use them however there are thoes who abuse it and because of them we have to be really really sure the coupon is correct and idem is correct. This may take a little more time and can seem a bit offensive but its not YOU its the compay. The people that use the coupons wrong actualy make money off it. They come through the store buy a BUNCH of idems that they dont need with a few things they need. The coupons cover there 300.00 bill and they pay 25.00. The next day they return EVERYTHING they buy. And get all the 300.00 back. This becomes frustrating to Target employees especialy thoes of us who care about our product. Do people relize if you return medication or drinks or mach up even clothes and toy that thoes idems get distroyed!! Not redistributed it coast the company money…..Just thought you should know why we do what we do.
Why wouldn’t the store just restrict these people from returning everything instead of giving all their other customers a hard time. A store has the right to refuse a return.
To none – there is something YOU need to understand. If all you do is generalize your feelings for those few bad couponers & give trouble to honest couponers who do tend to keep their items then you shouldn’t be working retail b/c you make us hate the store!

The .75/1 Up & Up femine care item USED to be a great coupon also. Have you noticed they got rid of the small package of pantyliners. They weren’t the best product but they were cheap!

I am not seeing some of these coupons for the up&up products on the Target webpage for coupons. Are these coupons, coupons currently not on the website, but were available before?? I am asking about the floss, the bleach, the foam scrubbers, and the all purpose solution.
the coupons aren’t specifically for those items. for example the floss- the coupon is for $1off up&up oral care item and has a pic of mouthwash. I think the others are the up&up cleaning item with a pic of a cleaning spray. HTH
I have looked through the pages and read each individual description many times and these coupons are not there. Are they removed from the page if too many people across the country print them? Were they ready to expire and maybe already have, it hasn’t even been a week since this post and other blogs reported these just a day ago? Is it a regional thing? I’m in AZ.
I noticed the one coupon per visit verbage last time I was in Target when I had the Welch’s coupons. Luckily I had my DD with me and sent her through another line with a jelly and the 2 coupons. Can’t beat .35 for jelly. If Target wants to play word games with the coupons then I’ll just play right back.

Can’t find the oral care coupon? Last time I went to target I had a good stack of coupons and the lady complained that the picture had to be exactly the same and I could only use one coupon per transaction. So she rang up as much as she could and it ended up being $12.00 when it was suppose to be around $5. She said she was a veteran and that no matter what the cah register took, it was not their policy. So I just told her to redo!!! She did it and then got frustrated and said “I’m going to get the manager”
So while she was gone, I switched to another cashier and she took 20 of the same coupons.

I know!!! Even the manager agreed with the cashier, after I told them that it was a cleaning item…..scrubbing means you are cleaning.
I was told the same thing when I tried to use it on the scrubbers. They said it had to be a liquid cleener like in the picture.
I went to Target last night and found tons of cosmetics on clearance. So great since many of my cosmetic coupons were about to expire. I bought $53.00 in cosmetics and paid a little under $3.00 after my coupons. The cashier was super nice and allowed all my coupons. In all such a pleasant trip, I paid $10 for $100 worth of merchandise, which included 26 Aquafresh travel toothpastes(all free). This has been only the second time I’ve gone to Target with a handful of coupons and both times have been GREAT!!!

Their target coupons now say “only one per customer” are they really enforcing that now? will I have to do multiple transactions if I want to get 2 or 3 of the same items? or do the cashiers not care about that?

It really is a YMMV thing (your miles may vary) I don’t normally have more than 2 like Target coupons, b/c that is the max you can print, unless there is a reset or I print another set of coupons at my brother’s house. Anyway, I just ask, some cashiers will let me use 2 of the same Target IPs in one order, others make me split the transaction.
Every time I’ve tried using more than one of the same target coupon it has gone through. I used 4 at one time and the cashier didn’t say anything. It just depends on the store and cashier. I always put those items last so if they don’t take them then I tell them I only want one.

thanks for all the target deals today Collin. I was just going to Target today for the Dr. Seuss reading and checked the website before I left. I was able to score great deals on makeup, method soap(bodega clearance), cascade complete(in bodega clearance), vaseline lotion (bodega clearance) UP2U gum, and hellman’s mayonaise(.52)

yesterday i went to target trying to score some free make up that was on clearance but when i went to the cashier she called up her manager to look at the coupons and the manager told me that i cant use the coupon that was on clearance! then i told her that i always have been using coupon on clearance items when did u guys changed the policy? she tells me that they been doing that for a year then i asked her to see the store coupon policy and she just pretend she didnt hear me and i didnt want to cause a sense so i told her never mind i wont buy it then.
so i was wondering what can i do and has this happen to anyone? i know we could use coupons on clearance items. thanks
You need to have a copy of the Target policy with you and show it to them. Also, try going to customer service and calling their corporate office.
i been having issues with target with the coupons. when i pull out the target coupon policy they tell me that corporate allows them to make their own coupon policy and wont accept my coupons and when i said let me see your store coupon policy and they cant come up with one. i tried going to customer service and their corporate. no response
Yeah, unlucky cashier. Today I was told bull yet again about how they don’t accept coupons on clearance even though it still would not have made the item free for me. I told her that was not in the coupon policy & left the item. I’ll go back in a few days & pick a different cashier.
I wish you could tell which coupons are Target coupons & which are manuf. before printing them out.

LOL free sponges and Kraves gone(I already got some :))–shelf clearing at target. However oddly saw plenty of welch fizzes I got for free and scored some $2.99 unstopables with my stacks 🙂 Baby lips pretty picked over too but I got 3 so am happy
I think they are cracking down on coupon use. I went last night and was told that the paper towel coupons were “one per guest” They had never previously limited before, and I only had 2!!
No limit where I live, a women here bought 100 of them with coupons and they allowed it…
Does anyone have problems with printing target coupons? My never print right. Other coupon sites print just fine. I printed the target coupon from coupons.com and it printed fine as well. It looks like I am missing the black cartridge out of my printer. I would love to score this activa deal today.

Here is their policy..i’m printing it out to take with me today…if you are printing out coupons anyway..why not print one of these EVERY time you shop, so it has the date on it?
Today I’m gonna use those UP&UP coupons for a family in my town whose house just burned to the ground on Thursday. They have NOTHING and a 10 month old baby and 2 boys, aged 8 and 9. The daddy stays home to take care of the kids while the mommy just got a new job. VERY sad.

i need some sponges. i was wondering if the cleaning coupon would work on the or if i will have any issue.guess i will try it with one coupon and if does work go back again and get more. low on ink so dont want to waste it on 2 q if i can use them
I heard the are beepers but it IS a cleaning item. My store was cleared out in less than 24 hrs so I’d say it must work
I’ve got three so far & every time it beeps & i have to tell the cashier what item it is & they ring it through.

By the other sponges, usually on the bottom bin. You really have to bend down to see them.

I tried buying 4 sponges in two separate transactions with the coupons last night and they beeped. Rejected! Cashier explained that these were for cleanser-type products.

I tried to get the sponges with the coupons today at my local target and was completely denied! They told me bc the picture was a spray bottle it had to be a windex like product. The coupons has no specifics so I was disappointed… Was looking forward to some free sponges, we go through them fast!
When I used this coupon for the scrubbies, they wouldn’t allow me to use it on that. Apparently the cashier I went to (young male) was new and told me that there were no items for the coupon. I said, yes – the sponges. He said I’m sorry, we can’t take this. So I asked to speak to someone. This really rude female manager comes over and states that they can’t accept it. I thought maybe because of the penny overage, so I told her politely the policy states that the coupon can be adjusted down. She proceeded to tell me in a really sarcastic voice that she KNEW the coupon policy. I had 8 coupons because I have four computers in my household connected to my wireless printer, and I didn’t clear the shelf. (gave some to family members) and the manager said that they are starting to limit coupons for families? So my mom said so what is it, 8? And the manager randomly threw out a number (hesitantly) stating 7. I said, I’ve never heard of this bizarre thing, but ok. So he marked it down, and I did my last sponge on a seperate transaction.
Needless to say, I will be making a call to corporate to ask about this new “7 coupons per family” motive that the rude manager decided to use against my coupons.
