How has shopping been for others in the “test areas” with the new +up policy..?? I have been silently boycotting rite aid because of their new policy, but need to get a few things and am considering a truce..

    • Blessed says:

Horrible, they seem to have had a lot of kinks they had not worked out before going live. I was told on Friday you can opt out in Richmond VA area and receive paper UP but you still will not be able to use UP until next day which is fine with me.
If you have UP’s loaded and you want to use coupons to be safe you will need to scan wellness card after coupons have been scanned. At one store I went to they acted as if I had asked them to commit a crime to scan at the end. On a purchase I attempted they took off my UP and then I was unable to use my newspaper coupon. So they voided it and redid scanning the wellness card after coupons. Then the computer took of different UP. I personally have not been able to see all of my UP on the load 2 card section of the website but they have come off of my order within the store. It has only been showing 1 of multiple UP’s . I have read of others unclipping the UP on the website ,which is what they recommend if you don’t want to come off , and they disappear. I had been to afraid to try this. My UP did not print last week on the Thermacare deal which isn ‘t that unusual and I had to call to have them mailed. In the past when an UP didn’t print the store would make it right on the spot.

      • Sharon H says:

Richmond test area here, and there are still major issues. Yesterday, even after extremely carefully planning my purchase so that I could use all of my coupons with my loaded Ups, who knows what went wrong because it does not tell you what was used on your receipt, just a grand total savings number (which no one knows what it includes), after all my Ups came off first, they handed me back ALL of my coupons, and said I could not use them. I tried to opt out with corporate yesterday( a supervisor) and was told that all following purchases would print Ups on my receipt, the reward receipt had all kinds of weird things like you earned $&3 for purchase of &3. My store checked my file on line and none of my 40 ups loaded to my card at all, so now I have to call corporate for about the 50th time since they started this. Oh, and don’t unclip the supervisor told me a glitch was deleting them so they were more than likely a loss. Terrible system, it uses the highest amount ups first, not by expiration date. So if I have a 10up expiring in 2 weeks and a 5up expiring today, my 10 would be used first. Hate the new system. Also has anyone else noticed that they aren’t counting coupons toward silver/ gold levels, only actual money spent by costumer? I will never make any status with that.

        • Wendy says:

I am in the Richmond test area as well. I’ve noticed there is alot of confusion with the clerks at the stores about how the program is supposed to work. I’ve also had the same issues about ups disappearing or not being applied appropriately. On every transaction I’ve had to contact customer service in order to have things fixed. A positive note however, customer service has been awesome each time. I’m not boycotting Rite Aid, but I have cut down on how much I shop there b/c the system is not user friendly right now. Hoping they scrap this program soon!

    • megan says:

Thanks everyone for your input! ..Guess i’ll be driving the 20min to Walgreens! I think the 20min spent driving is far less stressful than dealing with all of the UP confusion!!

    • Couponovich says:

I’m HATING it!! I earned $30+ in rewards yesterday and they aren’t showing on my account. Earned another $40+ today and only some of them registered. Definitely calling them in the morning. I hope they go back to paper. I’m beyond frustrated!

      • Patti says:

Yesterday the ups weren’t printing on paper either!! They ended up adjusting the pricces of the items I bought to account for the missing ups.

  • JoAnna says:

Thanks Collin for the match up!! I’m curious about the Cogate/Advil/ whatever deal spend $30 and get the $10 +up rewards. I can’t find info on that anywhere. Do you have a link? Thanks!

    • Hi JoAnna!

The $10 +Up Reward when you buy $30 worth of select Advil, Robitussin, Colgate and Softsoap products is advertised on page 2 of the weekly ad that can be found in stores starting tomorrow. Hope this helps! :D

      • Brenda says:

Actually, this is a misprint (again! just like last week) of the monthly deal. It’s the spend $25 get a $10 UPR -also includes thermacare and some others that I can’t remember now. My local stores have had signs up advertising which products are included in the monthly deal. There is a limit of 4 offers per cardholder.

      • Nichole says:

ok so i am confused as well. they told me at my rite aid that the $30 mark was a weekly deal and the $25 mark was a monthly deal so that if I purchased $30 than I should get 2 $10 UPs. Is there any truth to this or are they confused?? Has anyone tried it? I wanted to yesterday but hadn’t clipped my coupons yet. good thing I waited i guess!

        • Brenda says:

          Nichole,
I only purchased $25 this week, so I can’t be 100% sure that you won’t get 2 $10 UpR’s this week. However, I did last week’s deal twice (which was the same situation- misprint in the weekly ad for the monthly deal) and only received 1- $10 UpR each time. I believe that the employees were incorrect, which is totally understandable with all of the misprints in the weekly ads and not advertising the monthly deal!
Another thing to note is if there were two seperate deals going on, then you would have 2 seperate totals at the bottom of your receipt. Since these items don’t have to be purchased in one transaction, you could purchase $25 worth of products and look to see if there was a total for the $30 deal, if it shows on your receipt you could purchase $5 more and get your 2nd $10UpR.

          • sonlyfordeals says:

You should be getting 2 UP rewards. I did the deal and spent about $30, but I only got the monthly UP reward(I already had $9 in the, so only $16 more I had to spent to get $10) not the weekly reward. The $30 was counted before the coupons, so I did not get the weekly $30. I used coupons for Advil $1+$2 in-ad and Robitussin $2+$3 in-ad coupon, rest I bought softsoaps $1.99 x 6.

I am going back tomorrow and debate. Surprisingly, the asst sore manager was unaware about the Monthly $25 to get $10 reward, so was counting my $10 monthly as the weekly reward. If nothing happend, I will return everything.

            So pissed off today.

            HTH

    • It is in the ad page 2 if that helps any :)

  • Stephanie says:

Just an FYI and IMHO, the Stopain doesn’t work.

  • Carol_R says:

Thanks for the awesome match-ups Collin!

  • Kay says:

Hi Mrs. Collin, do you know when the March Video Value information will be posted? Thank you & God bless!

  • Lisa says:

The right guard/dry idea coupon only prints showing right guard for me. Can it be used for dry idea too?

  • Jessica says:

i have a question would this deal work?

    Buy 4 Hershey’s Kisses 2/$5
Use the $2/3 coupon from the 2/26 SS
and use $2/1 (got from a compliment to hershey’s)
Use the $1/2 coupon from the February Video Values
    Pay $5
    Get 2 $1 +Up Rewards when you buy 2
    Final Cost 75¢ each!

    AND THIS DEAL?

    Buy 2 Nature Made CoQ10 30 ct. $13.49 each
    Total After B1G1 Free Sale = $13.49
Use 2 $2/1 any Nature Made (tearpad)
Use the $5/1 coupon from the February Video Values
    Final Cost $2.25 each!
(do they have any other vitamins that are cheaper?)

    • Brenda says:

      Jessica,
The Hershey’s deal looks fine to me (what kind of compliment did you give to get that coupon!?!!) The Nature Made deal won’t work. Recently, Rite Aid changed their policy on B1G1 sales. You are only allowed to use 1 coupon on it, so your total would be $3.25 each. I’m sure they do have cheaper nature made vitamins that will lower your total cost, just depends what you’re looking for!

  • Tilla R Ham says:

i said it before, stuck by it for several months, then gave them another chance..but I’m saying it again, I’m so DONE with Rite Aid. I had problem after problem using coupons there, so I decided to give them another chance without coupons. I did a bunch of up reward shopping last week and earned 32. Tonight I went to do the advil deal and they wouldn’t sell me 5 advil products to equal the total, said it was state law to only sell 3. So I said i would come back and do 2nd transaction as cashier suggested, manager said no, we’ll write down your name and not sell you more than 3. I said, how can I get the deal, he said ” i guess you can’t”. I said why would rite aid advertise a deal that is illegal to sell you enough product to get, he said in very sarcastic tone “GOOD QUESTION!” He then asked how many i wanted, i said zero. I grabbed 32 dollars in easter candy, made sure it was exact and that no ups would be earned to cash all mine out. Told him that I would be removing my 3,000$ a month or more in perscriptions from the rite aid pharmacy as well and he just smiled. Will be sure to include all this in email to rite aid but I know from past experience they just do not care that their employees are jerk offs. Oh and by the way, I’m a chubby mom of 4, don’t look like a meth head, and was buying children’s cold and headache products from the advil line in case anyone was thinking he was worried about me trying to make drugs or some such thing.

    • Teri says:

Wow. How are so many good people out of work and he has a job!!

      • Janet says:

Sadly I was in a Rite Aid yesterday where a customer was trying to use 2 Brainstrong $13 +UP’s on a purchase!! According to the staff this person has ‘several’ cards…obviously they are the ones buying everything out and screwing the rest of us!!

    • In Oregon we have the same issue. It is against the law to purchase more than 3. Only here we have to give ID aka your drivers license to the cashier and they type the info in. My favorite thing about this is that the ads do not reflect the laws and that should change. At least they did not call the cops on you:) That would have been so embarrassing:(

    • Fed up, too! says:

Don’t be so sure corporate won’t do something! I was fed up with my local Rite Aid manager 2 weeks ago and had officially “had” it. He is always angry, talks to couponers like we are stealing, and degrades his employees in front of customers. I was trying to buy toilet paper on sale on Thursday–the week was almost over!–and he wouldn’t let me buy the last packs left because there “wouldn’t be any left for other customers.” #1–I get they can limit if they want to do so. However, it wasn’t the limiting that set me off–it was how he talked to me. #2–Don’t you write rain checks? If someone came in at the end of the sale week, couldn’t you do that? #3–Instead of taking my cart away from me (YES, he did this!) and putting all the toilet paper that I was buying back, why didn’t you offer me a raincheck? Oh, and the funny part is that the toilet paper was on sale $7.99–reg. price $9.99….not even a special price for me because I already get 20% off gold status! I was just trying to burn some UPs on things I need! So, I came right on home and live-chatted with Rite Aid customer service and told them I was tired of this manager being a jerk. Well, apparently, they moved very fast–because by the next day, he was already at the other Rite Aid down the street (I live in a metro area with lots of RA’s around), fussing about me. He told someone that he hates me because “he knows I donate a lot of stuff but it’s not fair because then I get a tax write-off.” Funny because of all the times I’ve passed out free tubes of toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant to homeless men in downtown Atlanta, not one single man has filled out a tax deduction form for me! The joke’s on him, though–I also found out his store was fined $2500 for his nasty attitude with a customer. I don’t quite understand what that means, as it was coming from another RA employee who didn’t know either, but it doesn’t sound good and, hopefully, will teach him a lesson!

      • Tilla R Ham says:

I’m glad that he was reprimanded…and how dare you be a good person and donate haha. This has been an ongoing problem at rite aid, and as I said, it’s why I stopped using coupons there. I love the up rewards and think they make for awesome deals sometimes, but it’s so not worth the headache and embarrassment when other customers think you are doing something wrong. As a criminal justice major, I agree with laws stopping us from buying too many over the counter medications, but as far as I understood the law, it only applied to certain ones, and they are the ones kept behind the pharmacy counter now.

        • you findout says:

not true anything with the psuedoephedrine (SP?) in it is behind the counter b/c that is the stuff people can make meth out of but other regular cough and cold meds have another ingredient in them that if you take enough of it will give you a high….I think the ingredient is dextromorphine but not sure…these products are also limited-in VA state they prompt you for ID have to be 18 and prohibit sale over a certain amount. every heard that song by snoop dogg (I think) “sippin on some szzyrp”… he is singing about drinking cough syrup to get high go ask your teenage kids trust me they know

      • Jean says:

wow, that is sad. We are SO lucky here. Our Rite Aid employees know us very well and go out of their way to help us and greet us and treat us like we are so smart for knowing how to coupon. I still love Rite Aid the best of all places to coupon.

        • Lacy says:

Everything people are saying about Rite Aid here actually applies to my Walgreens. I love Rite Aid. They even tape coupons from the Sunday paper to the products! I wish they were as coupon friendly for everyone else!

  • Hey I was wondering if anyone new the price for single serve candy at Rite-AId. The Buy 2 get 3rd one Free deal. Plus you can use the $0.50/2 RAVV Printable. Its a buy & save and I just need a little more to get to my $20 +UPR :)

  • Ronni says:

FYI…..For the Eco Tools (BOGO) there is a $1.00 off any EcoTools Product in the All You Magazine….I clipped it out and do not remember which month.

  • MS says:

anybody tried the spend $25 get back $10? I’m planning to do this but im confused if it’s spend $30 or $25. Thanks

  • Christa says:

Heads up – Blink Tears coupon prints at the BOTTOM.

  • Dolly says:

Has anybody tried the Pantene deal? Are the extra Up Rewards of $1each printing.

    • Anna says:

I was wanting to know the same thing, hoping to find out before I head out!

      • Anna says:

Update: I bought 2 Pantene aqua light shampoos & the extra $1 ups printed! Yay!

      • Patti says:

I just bought the pantene aqua lights shampoo & conditioner, and got $1.00 each up reward, in addition to the $2.00 ups!! They were not on the normal shelves, but in a cardboard display. The pantene shelves were actually being cleared at the time I went. Also, it my $20.00 winter reward, so spent $4.00 today and came away with $24.00.

    • Renee says:

Just finished buying the pantene. It ‘s still working!

    • soldiersgirl531 says:

Worked for me in Ny-only 3 out of 4 printed though-I’ll take it:-)Just got home. The funny thing is NO other UPS are printing at my store but these did lol.

      • Lyndsay says:

Only 3 out of 4 worked for me too, so assumed there was a limit. I got 2 $2 ups and 3 $1 ups, so only 25 cents each for 4 bottles with coupons! You have to get Aqua light or Ice Shine for the extra $1 up. They didn’t have it with the rest of the pantene, I had to ask the cashier and at first she said they didn’t have any more. But once I told her why I wanted it, and my 7 month old smiled at her, she went to look and came back with 6 bottles. Gotta love the Rite Aid employees, but happy with them for today.

      • Amberly says:

Same here… I got 2 bottles of Aqua Light and 2 bottles of Ice Shine and 3 out of 4 $1UPs printed along with 2 of the $2UPs. Still pretty cheap, so I’m not complaining lol!

    • sheena says:

Im in portland oregon. I bought two of the pantene aqua light this am, and both the extra ups printed. And I found out theres a mis print in the ad on the doritos. The ad says buy 2 and get a $5 up, but its buy 2 get a $1.25 up. In case anyone else was wondering.

    • Nichole says:

save receipts!! pantene is towards the p&g rebate too!!

    • holly says:

I went there today in MI and it worked for me. I only bought 2 so I am not sure how many it will allow you.

  • soldiersgirl531 says:

Hi-Is it me or is the math wrong on this one?We can only use one coupon right. So wouldn’t they be $1.25 a piece-I’m not sure if I’m not fully awake lol.Thanks.
Schick Hydro Shave Gel 8.4 oz. 2/$4
Use 2 $0.75/1 coupons from the 2/26 SS
Use the $1.50/2 coupon from the February Video Values
    Final Cost $0.50 each!

    • soldiersgirl531 says:

Ok so I will answer my own lol.I didn’t know we could combine video coupons-I am new to the video coupons:-) w/ others.I figured they were both manufacturers so you couldn’t.Learn something new everyday:-)

  • april says:

Watch out for some clearance on Clairol Natural Instincts Vibrant hair color. They are at 50% off, $4.49 each. If you get 2 boxes, you can use the $5/2 1/29 PG coupon and the $2 in-ad coupon and get 2 boxes for $1.98.

    • Alexis says:

Could you then use these receipts to help count towards the p & g rebate. if so, would the $1.98 be counted or the $9.00 be counted?

      • april says:

Yes, the Clairol hair color should count toward the $15 PG MIR since it says any Clairol product. The pre-coupon price should be what counts towards the $15 rebate, so it would be $8.98 for the 2 hair colors that would be counted and not the $1.98 after coupon total.

  • Samantha says:

My RA is notorious for not taking IP coupons, today however I thought I’d give the Right Guard $3/2 a try.. worked like a charm, they scanned the first time! Just make sure your +UPs print! I don’t know if it happened to be my RA or if it was a glitch in the system.. they said none of the +UPs had been printing this morning at all. The cashier put the amt I should have received in +UPs on a gift card.. just make sure you check the receipt before you leave!

  • Joe says:

Went to Rite Aid and none of my +UPs printed. The manager had to give me a 4 dollar cash refund. Did this happen for anyone else. It was on the Pantene and Right Gaurd

    • Kat says:

When i went to Rite Aid, they had already realized that no UPs were printing this morning, so as I bought stuff, they price modified items and subtracted the expected UP totals from each item I was purchasing. She took $4 off each Schick razor I was buying, $1 off each Pantene, etc. It worked out the same bottom line as if I had gotten the UPs, but less OOP for me which was great. I am very thankful that my cashier was willing to do this, she said they’d been going through it all morning. To my surprise (and the cashier’s surprise too), I got 3 $1 UPs for the Pantene Ice Shine.

    • Samantha says:

Mine didn’t print either, I just got the Right Guard … cashiers at my store said none of the +UPs were printing this morning.

    • Becca says:

Mine didn’t print either and they gave me back cash for the right gaurd, but I forgot about Pantene till I left store. They told me to call customer service since it didn’t print or my 10 ups for spending 25. I guess I’ll call in the morning and see what that gets me

    • Patti says:

I got a cash back also.

  • Marie says:

Pantene extra $1UP on aqua light and ice shine worked like a charm in NY!!

  • Asmith says:

No UP’s printed for me either. In test area. In the past they would have just given me cash but now I have to call the 1 800 #

  • Jill says:

I went to Rite Aid at about 9:15 this morning and every single Pantene shampoo was completely wiped out! How does that happen? I’m really starting to believe people are using several cards and wiping the shelves first thing Sunday mornings.

    • Kat says:

I went to my RA around 10AM and I am so happy I grabbed my 4 Pantenes because right after I placed them in my cart, two men came and filled their cart FULL of every single one on the shelf and then cleared the end cap (and they had a bunch, I’d say conservatively they got at least 30 bottles or more). I have no idea what these guys were up to or how they were planning on pulling it off. P&G coupons are all limit 4 per purchase, and the UP limit was 2 per card, and there were only two men. I didn’t hang around long enough to see how it played out, but I bet the cashier had quite the look on her face when she saw all of that Pantene coming at her.

    • Patti says:

Same here……had this experience with several items.

  • Christen says:

Ups didn’t print for me today, got the tight guard and razors. Manager was nice about it, gave me a gift card. I’m in Michigan. Oh, also, the buy and save was not tracking on the receipt.

  • stacy says:

in mass here you cant use ups on the same day – i bought hair brush yesterday and turned around to get the vaseline lotion – got 3 ups from the brush but when i used those ups to buy the lotion the lotion didnt produce the 2 up reward – i have saved alot and i wasnt about to argue over 2 bux – i just know now and for those of you in mass heads up

    • Ana says:

I am in MA. I did not have this issue. I have rolled same day +UPs and gotten the expected +UPs without issue. I think the Lotion and colgate deals were all odd last week because RiteAid was fixing the Rich Glich system. If you don’t know what that is, no worries since it is now dead.

Today in MA for me no +Ups printed because of staellite/system updates issues. HTH

      • Patti says:

I never have a problem here in (MA) I almost always use my ups on a second transaction. Otherwise I might loose them, or they might burn a hole in my pocket!! Yes agreed, system was not working on Sunday. They gave me cash back for missed ups, and I have already received my $20.00 winter reward, so didn’t care much about the tracking.

  • toni says:

go to rite aid web site and there is a $3.00 dollar off coupon for colgate sensitive pro-relief and they are on sale buy one get one free there this week have a blessed day.

  • Amy says:

So, I went to RiteAid today, I did the Pantene and the Silk razors, and the Skintimate as well. None of my up’s printed either. The cashier was so nice, she rerang my whole purchase twice. Then she rang it up again, still the same thing, finally i suggested we break up the transactions, and we did and then everything was fine and all my Up’s printed off. Dont know why that made the diffrence but, It did. Then on the very last reciept she said, oh my you only need $1.00 to get back the 20, for the winter rewards, which I was aware I was getting close, so I picked up another pack of the UP2U gum and then I got the $20 printed off. I was in the checkout for a hour but getting my $20 really made it worth it ! My cashiers are great where I go here in Maryland, very nice and always friendly, she actually kept telling me she was so sorry and thanks for my patience. Glad we have those cashiers here, sounds horrible for some of you. I love RiteAid , hope they get things figured out soon.

  • LleytonsMommy says:

Anyone else not get their UP reward for stop pain? This is my first time not having a reward print and they just told me to call customer service but they are currently closed! Hope they get it fixed.

  • caligirl31 says:

can’t find the Right Guard coupon on coupons.com…any certain zip code being used?? …or maybe prints are all out?? Also, my receipt from last week says all my +UP’s were loaded to my card, am I understanding that they may not be on there??

  • bre says:

Question>>> I have been told by Rite Aid Employees that we can not use an in-ad manu coupon and another manu coupon on the same item. For example the Robitussin. The in ad coupon says manufacturer. So can this really be done?

    • Brenda says:

      bre,
The employees were wrong. Most of the in ad coupons do say manufacturer on the top of the coupon, but it is a store coupon. Look at the barcode, if it starts with RC before the numbers then it is a Rite Aid store coupon and you can use it with a manufacturer coupon. I’m sorry that they wouldn’t take them for you, is there a different RA nearby? I don’t shop at the Rite Aid closest to me because they are not coupon friendly and it’s worth it to me to drive another 5 minutes to shop without having to argue about the coupon policy.

    • Jing says:

Same thing happened to me once. I was told by the store manager. He was argumentative and I reported him to the corporate. The store manager called me after and apologized. But I know he was not really sorry for what he did, he was forced to call since he was really wrong. Store manager should know there policy by heart.

      • Brenda says:

        Jing
I agree! It would making shopping so much easier (for both us and the employees!) if they knew and understood the coupon policy!

  • Brian says:

  • Ashley says:

What is the zip code for the Right Guard? I don’t see it.

  • Christina C says:

Hi does anyone know if the Pantene up is still printing? Thanks

  • Christina C says:

At my Riteaid I found of the foundation and a 3 in 1 concealer they have the try me free stickys on them. They are 2 different offers also so you can buy them both. They are in a purple box and Youth wear made by Physician’s Formula. So with the up that prints this is a great way to get free makeup and make a little money.

  • Hi I’m pretty new to couponing. Will Rite Aid take “manufacturer” (not store) coupons from the Kroger mailer? Thanks!

  • lovedeals says:

bought aqua light & icy shine. Both of them are working in northern cali.

  • Suzy says:

Softlips Beeswax, 1 ct $1.99, Regular Price

    Pay $3.98, Receive $3.00 +Up Reward.

    Final cost= $0.49 each! :)

    • Renee says:

Thanks!! I was finally able to find the singles. They weren’t located in the regular chap stick section in my store, but near the front of the store. Mine were $2.29, but with 20% off that made them $1.83 each. …..so 33 cents each after the $3 up! Yea!!

  • Angela says:

Does anyone have an extra Pfizer rebate form? I have one extra Colgate rebate form I would like to swap. Please e-mail me at mamahug3 (at) gmail (dot) com. Thanks

Just scored 2 free Pantene Ice Shines and UP2U gum. As a hair model, I love how shiny my hair is!! And I love feeling like I just robbed Rite Aid. So cool!

  • Holly Goodin says:

On a side note… The neutrogena deal from a few weeks ago with the $10 rebate worked for me, I got my check yesterday and was so excited that they honored it even though there was talk that neutrogena wouldn’t :) Hope everyone else gets theirs!

  • Ashley says:

The pantene ice shine and aqua light gives you an extra $1up only if its a shampoo or conditioner not the 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner bottles.

  • Chelsea says:

Great deal on Aveeno this week, because there are 2 UP+ rewards promotions going on:

    Aveeno, Buy 1 Get 1 50% off

    Spend $15, get $5 UPS (limit 2)
Spend $25, get $10 UPS (not sure on limit)

Spend $30, get $20 back in UPs, plus coupons = great deal!

I bought: 1 Tinted Moisturizer at $19.99, and 1 at $9.99 (second was 50% off), and used 2 $1/1 coupons, got back $20 in UP rewards, so I paid only $4 per moisturizer!

This deal could be improved by buying more less expensive products and using more coupons, but I just really like their tinted moisturizer– it has a natural look, smooths out imperfections, feels very light and has 30 SPF.

  • Leslie says:

    In regards to this deal:

Rold Gold Pretzels, Lays Products or Kettle Lays, or Doritos 2/$6
Use the $0.75/2 coupon from the 2/26 Pepsi Moments insert
    Pay $5.25
    Get a $1.25 +Up Reward when you buy 2 (limit 2 offers)
    Final Cost $2 each!

My Rite Aid flyer says that if you purchase these items you will get a $5 +up reward. Is there anyone who can shed some light on this promotion?
