    Love it! Thanks!!

  2. Kat

I have a feeling my DG might give me problems with this scenario. I have a feeling the manufacturer intended this coupon to be for the 6 packs of the full sized bars, but these 6 packs that are on sale are the mini or “fun” sized bars.

  3. michele

it shows the larger 6 pck of full size candy bars on the coupon, maybe it will work

  4. Marci

This cannot be right. It pictures a 10 pack. Six packs are not $1.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmmm… the picture in the weekly ad (as you can see above) shows that the 6-packs are on sale for $1 (not the 10-packs).

  5. Corrine

My dollar general does NOT except online coupons 🙁

    • Rudy

I price matched it at Walmart 🙂

    • patti

oh my DG gives me hassle about printed coupons to. And I’ve used ones I printed from their website before and they told me it wont scan they wont take it. After arguement , she scanned and it took. But seriously, i printed off THEIR site, it was a store coupon for goodness sake!.. I always get hassle there every time i use coupons! so irritating

  6. Jenn

my printer just went bananas and printed 30 of these before i had to cancel it manually!

  7. Amy

Marci they lowered the count now, its only 6 mini bars, and Im sure the coupon probably has size restrictions, can’t print, but if it doesnt, enjoy free candy.

  8. couponmama

I’m confused on where y’all are seeing 10 ct. because the hersheys pack in the picture clearly says 6 in the top left hand corner….

  9. Samantha

The coupon is for the 6 full size bars pack, not these small ones. On the ad above, it’s obviously for the small bars. When you go to print the coupon, it shows the full size bars. But I guess you can try it if you want…even though that’s not what the coupon is intended for.

  10. eric

    i guess its a ymmv situation. a 6 pack is a 6 pack imo.

  11. mary jackson

our dollar general will not take a coupon if the value of the coupon makes the item free. I have to check their coupon policy — the employees seem to make up their own “policies” and refuse to show me anything in writing – so annoying….

  12. Shanna

The Dollar General near me is super coupon friendly, I hope the prints don’t run out before I can get one. I’m working on my sons Easter basket.

  13. Tarri

    says I already printed 🙁

  14. Angela

Yes, unfortunately, the new fun size packs which used to be 10, then dropped to 8, are now only 6 count. I guess they are trying to keep the price low, but just putting in less candy. 🙁 – but it’s FREE – so WOO HOO! 🙂

  15. Jamie

I do not like DG in my area, it is right up there with Kmart for me. These stores in my area are not clean and not friendly and I avoid them as much as possible. As others mentioned about the coupon showing the bigger bars, I think I will pass on this. I know i would most likely have any issue.hope it works for most people. Good luck.

  16. Katie

this is one of those “if it sounds too good to be true it probably is” situations. The coupon is for the 6 pack of full size bars, which are typically $3+ at walmart at least. The funsize packs used to be 10 count, then 8 count, but happen to be 6 count now as well, and typically sell for $1. The coupon may work, but I think we know it wasnt the intention of the coupon!

  17. Pat

Lucky you if your Dollar General takes internet coupons, mine says they are all fraudulent and won’t take any!

    • patti

      same here!

    • Dawn

yeah, even the ones i print off their site they say are fraudulent! Corporate should do something about it.

      • Delene

Like Collin says “print the DG policy” I’m lucky I love my local DG A few weeks ago when they had the 50% sale they were out of a few things I wanted and the Mgr told me to keep checking back and she gave me the 50% off this past weekend when they came in. I love my DG

    • petterson

Show them the policy and tell them you will talk to Corporate about your trip and see how quickly they change their mind. If not, talk to Corporate and they will refund the money you would of saved with the coupons.

  18. Kat

I wonder if walmart would be a better place to try this? Aren’t these $1 there as well?

    • Jessica

If not, consider price matching… 🙂

      • Monica

Do you get a DG flyer? Do they have them in the store? I don’t get one mailed to me so I wouldn’t be able to price match without a flyer. TIA 🙂

    • Moe

I used my coupons @ Walmart and price mtched with Family Dollar’s .88 cents price for the 6 pk,so a littltle overage 🙂 per pack!!! No beeps and it went smooth! 🙂 Thanks again,Collin!!!

  19. Stacy

I went by DG this morning. The 6-packs are not on sale. The smaller bars in 8-pack are $1. Apparently a misprint on the ad.

  20. Elizabeth

I just went to DG in Greenwood IN and the deal worked flawlessly! I have several computers so I printed 6 coupons and bought 6 six-packs and checked out with no beeps and no problems! Thanks Collin, you rock…as usual 🙂

  21. Sarah B

I tried printing & got this message: Your access to print from this site has been disabled. Please contact Compliance@newsamerica.com to enable it. You must mention code 134346588 in your email. For further information on why you received this message Click here..

I print coupons from all the other sites so why can’t I print from here?!

    • Laura

Sometimes this happens when they find out that coupons that were printed off your computer were copied and used several times. I never give away or leave any of my internet printed coupons in the store.

      • Sarah B

Seriously!!??? I don’t think I ever did print any coupons off & leave them at the store! That is a bummer wonder how I can get rid of that!

  22. Marie

This will be one of those coupons that will work for some but not all. I think I am going to try this at Walmart or Target first. My Dollar General is so hard to check out at with coupons. Plus, I don’t think the cashiers are trained to deal with them as much. Usually if I do go to DG, I see a different cashier each time and I think they have a hard time keeping employees at their store. Plus, like someone mentioned earlier, they never clean the store.

    • Rudy

Mine worked just fine at Walmart:) Hope yours is as easy going!

      • Sandra

What was the price at walmart?

        • Rudy

          $1

          • Sandra

            tyvm! 😉

      • Mommascott

Did you get the mini’s or full size bars? And were they Free?

        • Rudy

I was able to get the full size. Our Walmart doesn’t have the 6pk mini’s, so they let me get the full size. Since it said six pack they didn’t argue.

          • Marie

Went to 1st Walmart and they didn’t carry the 6 pack of the minis. Went to 2nd Walmart and they had them for $1. The 2nd Walmart is about the same size store as the 1st but I run into not finding as much of a selection there. Only about 6 miles apart. Anyway, it might be hit or miss on whether you find it at a Walmart. The coupon went through with no beeps!

  23. Renee

It says no longer available now when you try to print the coupon

  24. Kim

    Says out of prints. 🙁

  25. Mommascott

I tried this this morning with the 6-pack full size Hershey’s. IT didn’t work. She said it is the mini size bars. I said “well, technically this is a 6 pack and if you aren’t going to honor this – you might want to put up a sign” I could’ve asked for a manager but chocolate isn’t that important to me to argue. Good luck!

  26. Mommascott

I didn’t think about “ad matching” at Walmart. Maybe that would work.

  27. Melissa L.

I just successfully got this deal with no problems! The shelf tag was marked $1.00 for 6pk Hershey’s but the actual product on the shelf was an 8 pack of mini bars. I asked an employee if she thought this would work since the coupon, sales ad, and tag on the shelf said 6 pack. She said they are in the process of decreasing the size of all the Hershey’s packages from 8 bars to 6 and they still had the 8. She wasn’t sure it would work but offered to give it a shot and it worked flawlessly with no beep…yay for 2 free packs of chocolate!

    • Sandra

I had no problems at Dollar General either, though mine had the six pack fun size. The cashier looked carefully at the coupon, said “this is a really great coupon”, then scanned it right through!

  28. Lauren

I couldn’t get the coupon to print, but I could stand to chill out on the candy. I have quite the stash right now. These would be nice to make some of the scrumptious looking s’mores recipes I’ve been pinning lately 😉

  29. eric

checked today and my stores only carry the 8 packs for $1

  30. Kimberly

yahoo! let me print off 2 coupons this morning~and scored 2 free pks (6ct)

  31. Rebecca

“Sorry, we are currently out of prints.
This coupon is no longer available.” 🙁

  32. SiSi Sparkles

The cashier at my Dollar General would not take my coupon because she said the picture on the coupon applies to the 6 count full size ones, not the snack size. Maybe you guys had better luck.

  33. Sandra

My Dollar General had no problem with these coupons. The cashier remarked that they were “very good coupons” lol. And they scanned fine.

  34. Kim

    Out of prints 🙁

  35. Erin

    Hello hip2save friends!
This coupon actually caused a pretty sour experience at my local Indiana DG. I noticed the regular size Hershey’s were over $3, however the fun size 6-packs were only $1.00. I brought both to the counter and at first the employee said she was unsure about the coupon and would have to call her manager. When the manager didn’t answer her cell phone she stated they don’t take internet coupons because they are all fraudulent and she will get in trouble. When I suggested that she try to scan the barcode to see if it would work she stated “this would make the product free and our policy is to not give items away for free.”
    So, I guess that’s that…

    • Really

Technically, these “Freebies” aren’t FREE. We’re all paying taxes on every item.

      • Really

I meant we pay taxes on the non-food items.

  36. MD

I ran into the same problem at my Dollar General with a new manager they have.. He said that if it didn’t scan he couldn’t take it because alot of people are scamming. My coupon was for only .35 on an item and the coupon was a newspaper clipping. I wanted to laugh, but I what I told him is — this is a newspaper clipping how can I duplicate that? He said he could stand there all day and scan but if it didn’t take he wasn’t having it.. I used to go in the mornings but since I found out his schedule from another manger who is really nice at Dollar general I go in the afternoons now. He was very rude at first but when I told him about the newspaper he did apologize siting that it wasn’t my fault. I also told him that people that scam usually go for Big ticket items and that they use fake online coupon printers.. IF he was not sure instead of turning customers away he could verify.. My HEB manager goes and checks online for the printed coupons that come through but he never turns a customer away. IT sad that they can be so rude and that is another thing I told him.. We are customers trying to save a penny here and a 1.00 there.. I don’t see how we look like scammers anyways…Really offended me…

  37. MD

Speaking of which, I went yesterday afternoon to my Dollar General when the nice manager arrives. I bought two gain dryer sheets priced at 3.75 but is showing at the register for 3.00, plus I used the coupon 1.50/2 for last week newspaper. Making it 4.50 for 2, If you look at your Gain coupon it says any gain laundry detergent, fabric softner, or fabric sheets. Also the ALL fabric sheets are 1.50 unadvertised I used my .50 off manufactures newspaper clipping.. Clipping indicates ALL & Snuggles fabric softner and fabric sheets. Making it only 1.00 for 40ct. Good deals 🙂

  38. WENDY

I THINK all of us need to be honest and use the coupons as the manufacturer has intended them to or else everyone else and yourself will risk getting more “restrictions” or stores will no longer take internet printed coupons. That will be sad for everyone who wants to save money…..

    LET’S ALL USE COUPONS ETHNICALLY!

    • Kara

If the coupon doesn’t state a specific “size” then it is ethical. I had a problem with a Pamper printable on Coupons.com. It said for any Cruisers diaper but the picture showed a box. It however said ANY. If they didn’t say full size candy bars only or exclude fun size, it is on the manufacturer. How are we as couponers supposed to know what their intentions are unless they specifically state it? We can’t read their minds and if it scans, it is normally okay. This won’t be on the stores shoulders, because the store read the coupon and it didn’t exclude the fun size, they are required to honor it.

  39. Carol

I went to DG last night and they had these 6-pk snack size. I had 3 coupons and 3 packs. It beeped, but it seems like all my internet printed coupons do, but he said he would just type it in, no problem. I go home and decide I’m going to eat one me one dipped in peanut butter. The packs are SO SMALL I could’ve eaten all 6, but I didn’t. I would say all 6 probably equal one regular bar, but anyway they were free. I would never pay $1 for these. Grocery prices are out of sight!
