We considered this deal since we need a new coffee maker, but the coffee maker they are giving away didn’t get good reviews. We decided to pass until a better quality coffee maker has a good price.
Betsy I don’t know what kind of coffee maker you want but I have a Cooks brand one from Jcpenny and we love it. It is not fancy or expensive but it works great. Before I got this coffee pot it seemed like I was buying a new one every 3 or 4 months because they were breaking. I have had it for about 4 years and it works great! I do not know about the reviews it has but it really is great!

I have done this about 3 times now over the course of many years- their coffee makers have always done just fine for me, I used it everyday and it probably lasted about 1 year- all considering not to shabby.
The coffee maker is terrible. Also, I did this a couple of years ago and they continued to debit my bank account after I canceled. Not small amounts either. Was a huge hassle to get all my money back.
I got this deal about 2 years ago. I cancelled shortly after, only because of the expense (I LOVE their coffee). Well, after about 4 months the coffee maker broke. I called just to trouble shoot it, hoping I could fix it myself. Anyway, I was told it was under warranty for 1 year even though I was no longer a customer. They sent me a brand new coffee maker at no charge. Great customer service IMO! I received no hassle cancelling either. BTW, if you like flavored coffee the Creme Brulee is wonderful.
Just a heads up that Gevalia kind of makes it a hassle to leave their program. But the coffee is oh so yummy:?)
I got our Gevalia Coffee maker about four years ago and it is still pretty and works great and have never had a problem. Their coffee is also awesome. This is a killer deal. I think I paid about $35 when I got mine which was still great.

I just got en e-mail from them yesterday. It basically explained that they had trouble with the scarves, the company they got them from didn’t have that many and they had to basically re-order their scarves to meet with the demand that promotion got them. Also in the fine print it tells you when it will be “shipped” out, I’m kind of surprised that no one read that.
My roommate and I did this deal in college and the coffee maker lasted several years. I had no problem cancelling and chose to remain a seasonal customer (I only get coffee about 4x per year). Coffee is sooooo gooood:)
I don’t know why people don’t like this coffee maker. We have had ours almost two years, and it has gotten use EVERY morning. It works just great. We kept the service for about 5 months, and had zero problem calling and cancelling. They had already mailed us a shipment when we cancelled, and we got to kept it by only paying the 4.99 shipping. All in all. A free coffee maker that lasts at least a year? I think it’s a great deal.
Tried a similar deal with gevalia had a horrible time canceling membership, got charged repeatedly, wasn’t worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The order showed that I was getting the $5.00 off which brought the total to $25.95, but when I got the bill the total was $30.94. When I called, I was told the coffee maker, scoop and 4 boxes of coffee was a promotion in itself and that I couldn’t use the promo code, too . I canceled my membership!
I too was charged $30.94 and when I called, they told me the $5 promo code (which at time of purchase was applied) was not able to be used since the free coffee maker was considered a promo. I wish it would have noted/corrected that at checkout instead of me finding they did not honor the code when the shipment came with the receipt and credit card statement showing a higher price…
I too was charged the $30.94. I called to see why and was told the same thing as the two posters above. While the cutomer service rep was very kind and understanding, they did not resolve this issue. I find it very dishonest that their $5 coupon went through and yet we were charged more. I canceled my auto ship.
