While it’s nice to get something free, we will be using our allegra coupons from tomorrow’s paper on AllegraD and/or children’s allegra(if possible). We all take allegra at our house. The generic regular allegra form is really really cheap at costco(about $20 for ,120 tablets) so we save our coupons for the stuff that is never on sale…Allegra D.

    • Mitchell @ Frugal Finders

The coupon excludes Allegra D and Children’s Allegra.

    • Nicole

***Note that this coupon does exclude Allegra-D and Children’s products.

Anyone know how Allegra compares to Zyrtec?

    • Ashley57

It is suppose to be a little stronger, I think. I take Zyrtec because I feel Allegra is too strong for me. If I take it, I cut the pills in half.

      • AmyJ

Good to know! Guess each 5 count will be like a 10 count for me! Definitely going to give Allegra a try at this price!!

    • Shaheena

I much prefer Allegra. Zyrtec makes me drowsy (even though it is non-drowsy) and Allegra does not.

Wonder if Walmart will misteriousy not have any on the shelves and not know when the next shipment will be in. Has been my experience that my local Walmarts dont have the item when they are $1.00 or less after coupons; especially FREE items.

    • MelissaA

That is so strange, and totally illogical on your Walmart’s part. Why would they NOT want to sell an item, irregatdless of coupon? They still get reimbursed for the coupon so they still get all their money. Makes me wonder sometimes how we manage to survive as a race. lol

    • whatsthedeal

I checked my Walmart the other day – they had 15 of them – If I go first thing in the morning I know they will all ge gone. Going to probably try my Albertsons instead. They will give overage too and maybe everyone will be concentrating on Walmart.

    • Erin

Glad to know that I’m not the only one who noticed Wal-Mart doing that, my local store does it all the time especially with the Nivea Lip Care coupons when that coupon comes out you couldn’t get a stick to save your life. Crazy!

    • LB

It may be those who purchase a “stock pile” who clear out what is on the shelf, but Walmart doesnt reorder, ive tried weeks in a row and remains empty. I am all for a good deal and do not fault couponers for buying multiples but do you really need 10 boxes? Save some for everyone trying to get a good deal. The massive multipliers are a factor in the “new” and always changing coupon policies.

    • Linda

Was at my Walmart tonight. The shelves are already empty of the 5ct. They seem to have a lot of things that aren’t being restocked at my store.

      • im

At my Walmart store it was gone too on Friday 🙁

  4. Mitchell @ Frugal Finders

Please note that this coupon states limit one per transaction in the fine print.

  5. Sue

    Free at target also

    • Emily

Are you sure of that? If so I will be heading to target!

  6. Marty

Although a 5 count package is good for a freebie, if you need more of this for allergy sufferers I’d recommend waiting until next week’s (4/8) drug store deals where you can pick up a 30 and 45 ct pretty cheap by using this coupon.

    • Molly

What store will have them on sale? We need allergy pills most of the spring and fall.

    • Pauline

      The coupon expires 4/8

  7. MelissaA

This $7 coupon also has fine print which states “One per transaction” as opposed to the usual ‘one per purchase’, so you can only use one coupon at a time (shopping trip)

  8. Linda

We didn’t get the coupon. Our local paper has the inserts in the Sat. paper and after reading this post, I was planning a trip to Walmart tomorrow morning.

    • Chris

We also get our Sunday coupons today. No Allegra coupon. Live in Lancaster PA area. Boo!

      • Penelope

Same here. No coupon. And I really needed allergy medicine so badly! I live in OK

    • Michelle W

Is this a PA thing? I live in Philadelphia, and there is no coupon in my paper either. 🙁

  9. Judy

I got a coupon on my saturday OC register paper and it was at 5.98 at my walmart, and they actually gave me the overage, I used two schick disposable razor coupons (1.75) as well, and got one small can of cat food, and it turned -14 so I only payed tax which was 66 cents or something, it was pretty great, will pick up another paper tomorrow morning. =)

  10. edy

I was at cvs @ 3:30 too late for alegra this lady had all of them on her basket! And the sales hadn’t switch yet until 4pm. Oh, well, she must needed it more than I do! I got olay body washes free and got the olay cleansears that were like 6.49 paid 17 cash and got 7 bucks my total was 203. Dlrs thanks ladys

    • Didi

Maybe you could have asked her for one? When I see a person take the last 10 + or so of an item, I try to ask for one sweetly. 😀 It helps that I’m about half a foot shorter than everyone here and I look like I’m ~15.

  11. juneau76

I went to my Wal mart this morning.. and Guess what? 3 empty shelves where they were suppose to be. I asked a stock person and she scanned the tag and said they wont be getting more in for at least a week! No surprise… coupon will expire by then

  12. Ketryna

I went to 3 Albertsons a little over 2 hours after the stores that carry the early sunday paper opened and 2 of them were completely sold out. How do couponers get there so fast? I finally got 3 at the last Albertsons in my area…

  13. Sarah

Beware this coupon expires very quickly (4/8)

  14. Mommascott

How are you getting these coupons? I don’t get my coupons until Sunday. : (

    • Brenda

      Mommascott,
Some newspapers put out early editions of their Sunday Papers on Saturday with the Sunday ads and coupons in them (this is how I get mine) and some regions get them in their mail earlier in the week.

  15. Cindy S

I didn’t have this one, I had an $8 off Zyrtec. Darn, I take Allegra so I really wanted that one, but like everyone else, the shelves will be clear by noon, so not worth bothering.

  16. Charis

Man, so excited about this coupon this morning that I ran out to get the paper! Only to find that the SS in HAMPTON, VA DOESN’T have it. I am so sad 🙁

  17. Kellie

Mobile, Al didn’t get the Allegra coupon either. We rarley get any of the good coupons. Our inserts are full of the mumu’s and diabetic shoe ads. I have to order mine online and get quickly so I can use during the week.

  18. ferann

Everytime there is a good coupon with good overage at Walmart they don’t ever have the products in until after the coupon expires. I read somewhere that Walmart will pull their stock if a coupon has overage of a $1 or more. I am starting to believe this is true. I was in the store on Fri and they were well stocked. I got there at 8:30 this morning and they were all gone. I went to another store and they were wiped out to. My Kroger has them for $6.49 and even though they don’t give overage they were still free. I think I am done shopping at Walmart!

    • abramsseed

Walmart has been so very difficult. I have found that CVS and Kroger help get me lots of freebies and items next to nothing. I even tried special ordering through walmart with my name on it, so that I wouldn’t “clear” their shelves out. They were soooo impossible to work with it took me 6 weeks to try to get my “special order” which they kept only giving me tidbits and saying “OH i told them not to put these on the shelf ” yeah right! Walmart has also highly discriminated against any couponers. I think I have 5 coupons they shouldn’t get in a huff over it, but they have. Oh and I am in Va. I didn’t have that allegra coupon in the ss either.

      • Julie

        for those in Virginia:
It is in the Washington Post!!! wasn’t in the Richmond Times Dispatch but I get both papers so at least i have one

  19. Rita

Both of my CVS stores were out and Walmart was also out. Went to Rite Aid to pick up a few deals and checked the Allegra price. They are $6.99 regular price there. Shelves were completely stocked up. =)

    • lovedeals

I bought few this morning from RA and they were stocked up. I bought from CVS and Walmart too. I just picked few from all the stores and they had plenty left for others.

  20. Ruthanne

Walmart is ALWAYS incredibly rude to me with any coupon I try to use. Even if I’m using a small amount and maybe just one coupon I still get the glares. No matter which Walmart I go to I encounter this problem, which is why I try to stick to Target. Unfortunately my local Target and only Target around for 40miles was out today by the time I got up there. So I headed to Walmart where I proceeded to have an argument with them over trying to use it for half an hour! Apparently no manager was around either. They are just ridiculous.

    • Scarlet

I got five yesterday at the CVS, today I went pretty late to the CVS again to get a few more only to find that I got the LAST ONE ON THE SHELF. Luckily the pharmacy’s Allergy season display hidden from normal view had plenty of packages of 5 counts, to my luck, so I got another five, I’m a Claratin snob when it comes to controlling my allergies but even on a sneezing attack I’ll take Allegra, I’m hoping the Wal-mart in the suburbs (which usually has everything the other Wal-mart doesn’t) has some I want to use the overage to get some breathe rights :3

    • Scarlet

ahh sorry , hit the wrong “reply” button D:

  21. Rachel

I got 4 packages for FREE at Rite Aid yesterday!! (Each package was 6.99 so no overage, but free is free!)

  22. Nikki =)

Went to Wal-Mart and the lady just stared at the coupon. I told her that it doesn’t say a specific size and I know your coupon policy does overages. It took her 10 minutes to look at the product, read the coupon, re-read everything, and she finally took it. =)

  23. Your Shopping Bug

Out at my walmart also, i even drove to another one far away, and also out, but they are FULLY stocked on the bigger packages, how odd…..
This makes me want to even shop less at walmart (I used to go for cat litter, but since my cat has passed away, i don’t shop there). i have lost all faith in walmart

  24. Tomoko

If you have Publix near you, Publix sell Allegra Allergy 5 ct for $6.49.I just used my $7 coupon and got little overage too. 🙂

  25. Angela O'Rourke

Just tried to use this coupon at a Walmart near me, they told me that there is never a coupon for more than the price of an item therefore they could not accept my coupon. Really? Are you kidding me? I am done shopping at Walmart, I can get good deals at other stores.

  26. Christie

Great deal at GIANT EAGLE if you actually use this and aren’t just looking for free product, more bang for your buck. 😉 They have the 30ct on sale for $16.99. They also have an electronic coupon you can load onto your shoppers card worth $5 off. After that and the $7 coupon, I got the 24hr 30ct box for $4.99. 🙂
