Walgreens Deals 6/17-6/23

The links in the post below may be affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

If you are a newbie to Walgreens shopping, make sure to check out my Walgreens Store guide. And if the coupon jargon below starts to confuse you, take some time to read through the Coupon Newbie section.

Also, as most of you know, Walgreens released a corporate coupon policy. You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink.

Want to create your own custom printable shopping list?!
Simply click on the printer icon to the right of the post title and then follow the instructions to easily remove portions of the weekly deals that do not interest you. Then print and take with you to the store!

Off Topic: Could someone please tell me where to find the Publix coupon for the Magnum ice cream bars? My circular doesn’t show any. Only Breyers is on sale. Would appreciate a response. Thank you.

am i missing something i printed out the sammy coupons and they dont have a barcode werid how will i be able to use them

    • jennifer says:

when i printed the samy coupons the expiration date going around them was june 10th and at the top was december??????

      • Tammy says:

Do a print of the actual page and it will just print the coupon with the correct expiration date going around the coupon. Do not use the “click here for a print friendly” button that they have provided.

  • Kelley NC says:

I printed out the Sammy coupons and they have a barcode but they also say EXPIRES 12/31/2012 in large print but top and bottom of the coupon state expires 06/10/2012 in micro print. The coupon also instructs the retailer to check that the expiration dates match ???

  • abby says:

Coppertone Sport Walgreens coupon found in the Skin Care Coupon Booklet is a Manufacturers coupon and it didn’t work for me.

    • Jay says:

I wondered the same thing. It’s a MQ so you can’t stack with the other $3/2 MQ.

    • wags ba says:

its not a mfg coupon at all ive been scanning them for as long as they been out with mfg coupons it works there is no vendor info on them so we dont send them in or keep them it only valid on the sport though

  • Tamara says:

Hi do you know that covergirl has rebate 10$ when spend 20$ on covergerl+olay cosmetics(if they will be included??)? With B1G1 50% it can be a sweet deal

  • Brittany says:

    Thanks Collin!

  • Rebeca says:

    Thanks Collin! :)
I would like to share the following. Twice this week (once at CVS and once at Walgreens) the cashier took the “up to $” value of my free item coupon instead of the actual price I paid.
Today at Wags I bought the skinny cow singles for 49cents and used the B1G1 coupon. The cashier initially deducted 49 cents and then went ahead and corrected it and deducted 99 cents since that’s the “up to” the coupon says.
When I noticed it I pointed her “mistake” and she said “this is how we were instructed to do things now”. I was so happy, I got all 8 for free, but left me wondering if this is right and if anyone else has experienced this as well?

    • Melissa says:

Hey I work at Wags and we are NOT supposed to do this. It might depend upon what district they are in, but several people this week got in trouble for the gillette razor coupon taking off $17.99 when the razor was selling for $9.99. Just be aware that this might change as corporate becomes aware and updates the computer systems.

      • wags ba says:

melissa is right lp sent out a huge email waring us to not scan them but to key them in for the price they are for some reason new registers wanna give high value on coupons

    • mollie says:

I have experienced that at Wal-Mart

  • Cesar says:

Is it just me but I can’t find the manufacture $1.50 Q for the the Dial Speed Foam Body Wash on the Target website. Also, the Suave body lotion Q in the 5/20 RP, for me at least, is showing for a B2G1 free and not B1G1. Wonder if I lucked out and just didn’t get the B1G1 in my region. Was looking forward for those two deals posted but I guess it won’t be as good for me without them Q’s…..oh well.

  • Emily says:

Heads Up! Starbucks coffee bags can be turned in to any Starbucks when they’re empty for a free coffee! It says so right on the bag! Yay!

  • nikki says:

Collin I have a b2g1 Coupon that express tomorrow for suave.. I think it was in a redplum or something with a bunch of uniliver cottons in it…anyway if we used that, got 3 body washes, couldn’t we use 3 of the.75q’s with the b2g1, pay 1.75, and get back a 2 RR??

    • katee says:

no you cant use 4 MQ’s on only 3 products

    • Stephanie says:

The coupons for suave no longer valid. I have 1 of those new walgreens. They are rude, very rude. I tried tonight to get the lotion deal and the coupon beeped. The manager said it has to be use the day before the expiration date. I have never heard of that before. However I wasn’t going to argue. :( boo. I was there tonight around 12:30

      • Julie says:

That is not true. If it expires that day then it is good. We send in our coupons weeks later anyway

        • mel says:

The new registers for some reason won’t accept a coupon if you use it the same day it expires. I had a coupon I tried to use today with a 6/17 exp and the register just wouldn’t take it. Finally the manager came over and told me he would accept it just this once, as the registers are programmed to not allow expired coupons. And I said it won’t be expired until -tomorrow-… whatever, this is just one more X in my book. And with more changes to come, I think I will be shopping less at Wags.

  • Becky says:

Does anyone know if you can use two of the Samy coupons? I was just wondering because the numbers above the bar codes are the same for each coupon and they usually won’t accept them because it looks like you just photocopied them.

  • BiBi says:

I just went to Walgreens and did the suave body wash deal but the RR didn’t print for me. You can only buy Suave shampoo or conditioner 5 to 28 oz, select stylers, lotions 18 oz. If you buy Caress body wash then yes you would get the RR. At least that is what their ad says and what the manager told me.

    • mary says:

Yes, same thing happened to me. The deal is for Caress body wash, not the Suave body wash (it’s only the Suave shampoo and conditioner) so the deal where you get 2 Suave body washes for 25 cents each (after 75 cent coupon) is not accurate.

      • Robin says:

Unfortunately I did this deal too, no RR. I went ahead and kept the body wash even though I don’t need it (lol)! I got the mac and cheese for 8cents a box, so I’m still happy!

    • Michelle says:

Thanks for confirming this for me. I was at Wags and didn’t think the body washes were included, so I skipped it.

  • Sarah says:

The Colgate Toothpaste $.75/1 is regional :( My coupon is $1 off of any 2 Colgate Toothpaste.

  • Christina says:

Where is the Dial Form coupon at? I can’t seem to find it.

  • LaToya says:

I think the Hershey was regional too – – I don’t have the coupon for the bars from that date…but I have for bags of Air Delight candies; bugger.

  • mackyjane says:

It doesn’t appear that the Suave body wash is supposed to be apart of the $2RR deal. The ad states Caress body wash 12oz and Suave Shampoo and Conditioner 5 to 28oz, select Styler, and lotion 18oz.

    • Rachael says:

Just got back from wags and the Suave body wash does not produce a register reward. The shelves for the shampoo and batteries were cleared today at the local wags. They did have some shampoo in the back, but were out of stock on the batteries.

  • katie says:

i wish so badly that printing coupons was just easy. i cant print the KY coupons because i dont have java… and then i try to instal it and it says the link doesnt work. ugh.

  • Shan says:

Went to 2 walgreens and I couldn’t use the mac n cheese coupon on 2.

    • mel says:

print out their coupon policy.. (collin has the link at the top), which it says:
Buy One, Get One Free Coupons
When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.

      • bev says:

mel – tried that – even with the policy in hand, the manager said that it didn’t apply to a BOGO on an advertised BOGO..:(

  • Julie Wood says:

Where in the ad is it say Buy 1 get 1 free for the Samy hair spray? My store did not have this advertised.

  • Chelsea says:

Has anyone received the movie voucher from the Kotex deal yet?

    • jennytw says:

Chelsea, I did the movie voucher last night with the Kotex, but I have not redeemed them online yet. My concern is I may not get to use it at my preferred theater. Anyone done this type of deal in the past?

  • Glenn says:

Be careful on the Kraft Mac and cheese. The computer did not recognize the BOGO offer and charged me for two boxes. I had to get the manager to make the adjustment.

    • mary says:

I used the BOGO coupons this morning to buy the mac and cheese and didn’t have a problem! I think it was 10 cents a box after all coupons.

  • allqdup says:

My Walgreen’s is terrible. They are always out of stock when I get there, which is usually when my kids go down for nap at about 1pm. I can’t remember a time when they had everything on my list.

    • Crystal says:

the wag by me never has anything in stock and its like that ALL THE TIME. very annoying. they always tell me their shipments comes in on wednesday but when i go there nothing is on the shelves.

    • Renee says:

Yep. I’m in Eugene and if I don’t get there Sunday morning, I can just figure they’ll be out of everything. Combine that with the various RR restrictions and Walgreens is more hassle than it’s worth.

      • jodi says:

I’m assuming Eugene, OR…try one of the SPringfield ones, there are 3 of them here, the one on Q and the one on Mohawk are usually good, the 58th and Main has good customer service, but is pretty empty

  • michelle says:

Mine is the same and they are so rude! I was also wondering if anyone else has went and found a note on the door stating only one rewards per day….

    • Mary says:

So if you buy 2 items that print rr do they throw them away or do they keep them? My son’s friend works at a Wags and he has told me that if a customer does not want the rr they get to keep them. I would call corporate to check on this. I have never seen anything advertised in their sales flier that says limit of 1 rr per customer.

      • pheonixjade101 says:

they are not supposed to keep them, if they do than they could get fired if lp found out about it. I know someone that has gotten fired for using one that was left in the store for about a week. usually you have to split up your purchases so that you only redeem one rr for each item you buy.

        • wags ba says:

u r right we cant keep rr or take them at all from a custumer it is aganist r polices if somone does not want theres or take there we must tear it up and trash it i had a coworker get fired for taking them and using them we can only get thee rr if we buy the items our selves

    • Rachael says:

Most of the Walgreens near me limit register rewards to one per special per day. I live near St Louis.

      • Mary says:

I just found this on Walgreens website
Our Register Rewards program can help you save on the items you buy every day.

You can earn Register Rewards when you make a qualifying purchase of eligible item(s)
advertised in our Weekly Ad, or an in-store promotion. It’s that simple.

Your Register Rewards coupon will print out at the register, with your receipt, to redeem on
        your next shopping trip.

Limit 1 coupon printed per offer. See coupon for exclusions, limitations and expiration.

I guess they are trying to limit the shelf clearers. I guess some stores are just more lenient than others.

        • michelle says:

They are saying that you are only allowed to use one per day. We can get as many as we want, but we can only use one for purchases per day. I did go to another Walgreens and they were more than happy to take as many RR as I had items for.

  • Tiffany says:

Can’t you ask for a raincheck if they are out of stock and still get the RR?

    • Mary says:

You can get a raincheck for the sale price but not the register reward. Unlike CVS.

      • Beverly says:

When my local Wags was out of an item with a RR, they gave me a rain check and told me that they will give me a store gift card in lieu of the RR. Unfortunately that raincheck item has yet to come in to the store, so I have never tested this. However, I do have a raincheck stating the sale price and the RR reward on it and I keep checking for the item.

  • steph says:

My Walgreens is in a tiny town, so not always the big selection. But I do have to say they’re the nicest people there. I have never had an issue, and they let me ring up multiple transactions and always ask me if I need help.

  • RL says:

there is also a $1.00/2 butterball turkey bacon coupon in the ALL YOU June 2012 issue. Making the turkey bacon on sale this week $0.49/each. Awesome deal!!

  • Pat says:

I agree most Walgreens are rude but there are some that have good cashiers. My favorite comeback when coupons don’t work is that you can’t use a walgreens coupon and a manufactuer coupon together. Target does that to me sometimes too! Had one clerk tell me that and she called another one over and she told me that too! I put my stuff back and came back the next day and they magically worked for me. Amazing isn’t it sometimes.

  • Christy says:

I have been using your coupon blog for about 6 months now and find your website to be the best. I have won several contests including ($250) , free items, and saved a ton of money. Thank you for your help.

  • Hilary says:

I bought two copper tones with a rr and a coupon for $3 off two. Cashier said the register wouldn’t take it cause the coupon was for two so I had to get a filler. Is that how it is supposed to work? I thought it was just supposed to be a coupon per item or rr, right
    .

  • Kellie Loucks says:

Hi, question about filler items? I want to use my manufacture coupon for the Starbucks coffee, but I also have a ton of $2 RR from the suave deal. Could I buy the Starbucks with the $1.50 off, then get two candy bars and use the 2 of the $2 RR? Is it okay if the RR is for more than the price of the product it is attached to?

  • Amber says:

Is the menothlatum pain relief, 5.99 get 5RR back regional??? It is not in my Walgreens Ad nor is it advertised with any tags at the store???

    • Jen says:

It wasn’t in my ad either but I asked the cashier and we tried it and it did print out the $5 RR. Maybe it’s just not advertised in the ad?

  • Heather Libby says:

has anyone done the covergirl lashblast deal? If so what was your total? I was at my wags a few minutes ago and all covergirl cosmetics BUT the lashblast had buy one get %50 off sticker.

  • Brenda says:

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for all your work to help my family save money! This week was the first in a long time that I was able to work out all my deals that I planned for (with items being in stock), and I even waited until Wednesday afternoon to go to Walgreens. Was even better to find my favorite cashier at the Beauty Counter! Thanks so much Collin!!!
