Has anyone tried one of these yet? Did you like it? Was it easy to use?

I used the cheese recipe starter to make macaroni and cheese. It was terrific!! I added some goat cheese, the can of cheese starter and elbows. And then sprinkled cheddar on top. Everyone LOVED it! I’m going to try it next for chicken and black bean quesadillas. It’s worth getting…. I’m looking forward to trying the basil one as well.

I tried the cheese one and the basil parmesan one. I made mac n cheese with the cheese one, and we didnt like it, we preferred homemade sause. The basil parmesan one was better.

My husband used the Tomato one to make Chicken Parmesan. It was wonderful!! 🙂 I think he used the recipe on the side of the can.

I agree! We just used the tomato one this evening, and we used the recipe on the can as well. It tasted great!!

I’m curious what a vegetarian(like me) would do with it?
Anyone tried this on something-minus meat?

    • molly

I used the basil parmesan one with noodles and porabella mushrooms. It was pretty good. Not excellent, but it was pretty good.

I used the cheese one to make some homemade cheddar baked potato soup lots of celery, potatoes, carrots, and onions–it turned out awesome…just a suggestion…if you eat dairy.

These are on sale for .99 this week if you have a HyVee nearby. : )

Janel were they on sale with the “week ending” ad for today 9/4 or starting tomorrow’s new weekly ad 9/5 which isn’t posted yet. I did a search for item view in both the digital and weekly print ad that ends tonight at midnight and nothing came up for Progresso. I’m hoping it starts tomorrow and I didn’t miss this sale.
