Okay- like almost all other new moms, I got a Baby Bjorn, and it was fine, until my daughter hit about 12 lbs. Then my shoulders started to hurt when I walked with her and I read that it wasn’t very good for baby’s spine to be held by their crotch. So a friend of mine had an Ergo, and I tried it. Wow, all of the weight was on my hips- not my back, and baby was actually sitting in a little pouch, not in a harness. I love this carrier!!! Now that she is older, my daughter loves the hip carry and back pack carry of this carrier. It has been so valuable when we travel or go to stores or anywhere…
I loved it…..if you wanna save your back and if you wanna carry your baby till she becomes 45 pounds….go for it….
Have a babybjorn which we bought when our daughter (now 15 months) was born, but carrying her in it for more than a few minutes at a time got to be too taxing at beyond 6 months (even though she has always been underweight and only hit 20 pounds at 12 months). Many friends have the Ergo which they rave about for carrying their toddlers so I decided to take the plunge. First put it on over the weekend for a short stroll in a shop but it is amazing how comfortable it was carrying her (now 23 pounds) as all the weight was held in the waist strap and not at all in the shoulder straps. Also it was super easy and intuitive to “operate” — just snap the straps together and go! Overall a great product and I would definitely recommend it for carrying older babies/toddlers.

This is the best carrier! Our 11mo son did not like riding in the stroller at Disney World so I carried him in this most of the time. It was a lifesaver! Love my Ergo!!

What is the code to get the 20% off?
If you are a member of Amazon Mom, it was emailed out on the 17th and is good through the 30th. I originally wanted to use it on diapers, but then I remembered that I already get 20% off when I use subscribe and save. It’s a one time use code.
Liz is right– however, there was some mistake with my account and I never got the email on the 17th. I called Amazon yesterday and they said they would mail it to me tomorrow (Friday). Did this happen to anyone else?
I tried to use the code and got an error message, “The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.” I did a chat with Amazon and they said they would email me a new code within 1-2 days. I am wondering if the code won’t work on this item or with this sale though… Anyone else have any luck getting the 20% off coupon to apply?

This is the best carrier and the best price I have ever seen. I have been through a LOT of carriers and this distributes the weight best. I still carry my 4 year old on my back occasionally! (40 lbs!) If I didn’t already have one I would be finding one.
This works for the back, too. I love my Ergo!!! I’m short, and the Ergo puts the weight right on my hips instead of my shoulders. These are difficult to find. I got mine used by posting an ad on Craig’s List — but it was a HUGE headache. This is the best price I’ve EVER seen for them new. I’m in shock.

Has anyone already bought one from amazon.com? I am looking now and there are 3 pages of reveiws from people who bought from the amazon and the ergos ended up being knockoffs…..!!
Just be careful…it looks like some of the reviews indicate that there are issues with people receiving fake Ergos. Buyer Beware!! I am definitely interested in getting one of these for my new little one expected to be here on May 27, 2013!!

We have two of these! LoVE them! Used it everyday for a long time, now that my son is 36 lbs. we rarely ever use it! But it’s great to have! Gave me hands to get stuff done when he was a tired toddler!

Are they made in USA?all of Ergo? I bought Beco two yrs ago and it has been a life saver esperically during airplane trips! It is not perfect though.. I always wanted to try Ergo though..so i will order this if it is 100%made in USA!
Unfortunately, they are made in China 🙁 I’ve never tried a Beco, but I do love my Ergo.

After a careful and thorough research Ergo is the best! Got mine at Buybuy Baby clearance section (floor model) for $80! My son loves to be in it, my back is happy, washes very well, easy to put on and off, I can’t emphasize enough. Buy it now!!

I just got one on babysteals on Monday and got a smoking deal! Just an FYI to read the reviews because a lot of people claimed to have been sent knock-offs, some of which didn’t even buckle. (Which is why I paid a little more to go through an authorized dealer for mine.) I am super excited to try mine out!
Bummer! I just bought one last week. On a positive note, we love it! Ergo is most definitely our favorite baby carrier
When I contacted Ergo about the cheap price, they said most likely it’s a fake. There are only 2 trusted seller on Amazon, Apple Green Baby & Health Check Systems. If it’s sold by another seller, they cannot verify if it’s real or not…but they said if the price is lower than the normal $115 then it’s most likely fake.
It looks like they are sold by @Health Check Systems- Bylane… but they are gone at the price above…
